In line with the increasingly rapid development of the era, da'wah activities require a precise strategy and a clear concept. For this reason, it is necessary to have a systematic method or method that is used to deliver material or preach messages to mad'u. The author focuses on conducting studies between the methods of da'wah according to Jalaluddin Rakhmat and their implementation in Islamic guidance and counseling because they can be said to be interrelated. According to Jalaluddin Rachmat there are three methods of da'wah, namely: preaching with wisdom (bi al-hikmah), mau'idzah hasanah, and da'wah with good discussion (mujadalah billati hiya ahsan). The da'wah method according to Jalaluddin Rakhmat can be implemented in the guidance and counseling process as an effort to deepen the application of counseling communication skills. Al hikmah can be applied in the initial stages of counseling process trying to understand a client's problems. Mauidzhah hasanah can be applied in the middle stage, which is the stage of work where there will be advice so that clients can find various alternatives to the problems at hand. Mujadalah billati hiya ahsan can be applied in the final stage, namely the action stage which seeks to convince clients of solutions that will be taken independently.

****

Sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman yang semakin pesat, kegiatan dakwah memerlukan sebuah strategi yang jitu dan konsep yang jelas. Background. Policy has direct bearing on occupational therapy practice and is a key dimension of the environment. To date, there has not been a synthesis of how policy is addressed in the occupational therapy literature. Purpose. The purpose of this review is to identify and analyze the ways that policy is addressed in the occupational therapy literature. Method. We conducted a scoping review of literature on policy and occupational therapy. Articles were analyzed deductively using a policy framework and inductively to identify overarching themes. Findings. Sixty-four papers were included for analysis. We present the descriptive information of the included articles according to policy type, sphere of action, stage of policy development, level, and actors. The qualitative analysis uncovered two broad concepts: “awareness” about the relationship between policy and practice and messages pertaining to “action.” Implications. There are numerous areas for further research into the policy–occupational therapy nexus, as policy has numerous pathways to shape practice. Practitioners will benefit from better understanding these pathways and actively engaging to align policy with the values of the profession.

Abstract Introduction. Not many studies have been performed in Poland on using mobile applications from the sport and fitness category and exergames. The main purpose of this study was to investigate to what extent such technologies are used by youth. Material and methods. A total of 435 pupils (including 263 females) aged 17.78 ± 1.19 years took part in the study. A diagnostic survey was carried out; the data were collected using a questionnaire developed by the authors and a scale assessing the stage of exercise change developed by Marcus, Rakowski, and Rossi (1992). Descriptive statistics (means and standard deviations) were used to describe the data and to test differences between groups; a chi2 test was used with Cramér’s V statistic as a measure of effect size in contingency tables larger than 2 × 2. Results. Of the 435 participants, approximately a third (30.8%) had used some type of fitness application. The most frequently downloaded applications were exercise plans, such as Weider’s Aerobic Six and applications for physical activity monitoring (steps, distance), such as Endomondo. Exergames were less popular. Only 5.29% of the respondents claimed they used exergames regularly, although about every third person used them regularly, especially males. Conclusions. Eight of ten respondents held the view that such applications are useful but are something that they could do without; only one in ten could not imagine exercising without such applications. Most of the latter category of users were persons at the action stage, next - persons at the preparation stage, but - what is interesting - none at the maintenance stage. It seems, then, that such applications may be - and in the light of the data obtained really are - an indispensable aid for people at the early stages of developing a habit of regular physical activity.

Abstract Electric-pulse triggered energetic materials forming (ETEF) is a high-speed manufacturing process, which utilizes the chemical energy released by energetic materials (EMs) triggered by underwater wire discharge to plastically shape metals. The understanding of ETEF is not comprehensive, especially in the research on the discharge characteristics of energetic materials triggered by metal wires and the deformation process of metal sheets. In this paper, the above two problems were studied by means of experiment and numerical simulation. For the pulse discharge characteristics, the peak values of voltage and current were reduced during the triggering process of energetic materials. The triggering energy consumption of energetic materials was quantified to be about 200J. The matching parameters of different capacitor-voltage devices had no effect on triggering the energy release of energetic materials, so the electric pulse generator only played a triggering role on energetic materials. Compared with the quasi-static specimen with the same bulging height, the maximum major strain and thinning rate of the bulged specimen under ETEF condition were significantly reduced, and the deformation uniformity and strain distribution of the specimen were improved. The simulation results showed that the addition of energetic materials significantly improved the plastic strain energy of the blank. The deformation of the blank in ETEF can be divided into two stages: the initial chemical energy action stage and the inertia action stage. The bulging height of sheet metal increased by nearly 301% in inertia action stage, accounting for 80% of the total deformation time, and the effective plastic strain distribution was more uniform.

Abstract PurposeFor patients with eating disorders (EDs), early engagement in care is usually considered as a positive prognostic factor. The aim of the present study is to investigate how a single-day intervention devoted to an early experiential exposure to a variety of psychotherapy approaches, supports transition to specialised care and commitment to change in patients with EDs.MethodsOne hundred and sixty-nine outpatients newly diagnosed with an ED took part in a single-day workshop for groups of up to 10 patients, where they discovered and experienced eight psychotherapeutic approaches. Motivation to change care, and level of insight were assessed at baseline and 10 days after the intervention.ResultsMotivation and commitment to take active steps toward change (expressed by the “Committed Action” composite score) significantly improved after intervention (p<0.001), and a significant number of patients specifically moved from “contemplation” to “action” stage (p<0.001). The improvement of motivation to change is significantly associated to an increase of insight capacity (p<0.001), and this for almost all dimensions.ConclusionA single-day session devoted to experiencing a range of group psychotherapies increased patients’ insight and motivation to actively engage in care. Further studies including different factors and long-term outcomes evaluation may be necessary to better establish which aspects are specifically involved in patients' increased motivation for care and confirm potential longer-term benefits of this intervention.Level of evidenceLevel V: Opinions of respected authorities, based on descriptive studies, narrative reviews, clinical experience, or reports of expert committees.

This literature review is based on the biological control of slugs using the nematode Phasmarhabditis hermaphrodita. It describe the effectiveness and mode of action according to its environment. Also the method of application and doses, compared to chemical molluscicides and the study of the bacteria associated to the nematode. P. hermaphrodita seems to prefer soil moisture and infect young slugs of the Deroceras species. Partial nematode applications are less expensive and should be done in slug resting áreas. There are other nematodes species for slug control but with no effectiveness. More research is still needed to prove when nematode P. hermaphrodita's action stage is, because it has not been so effective for the control of many other slug species.

Objective: In this study, we examined physical activity (PA) engagement outside of college physical education (PE) classes using the Transtheoretical Model (TTM). Methods: Overall, 414 university students enrolled in PE classes voluntarily participated in this study. Participants were asked to complete a survey packet to measure 4 core constructs of TTM and their PA level performed outside of PE classes. Among the participants, 150 randomly selected students were asked to wear a triaxial accelerometer for 7 consecutive days to identify their PA level. Descriptive statistics and multivariate analyses of variance were used to determine the association between stages of motivational readiness and other strategic core constructions. Results: We categorized 77% of respondents into either the "action" stage or the "maintenance" stage for engaging in additional PA outside of the classes. Behavioral processes of change showed a graded and significant association with the stages. Both self-efficacy and decisional balance were significantly higher in students at higher stages. Conclusion: Our findings showed that most students enrolled in college PE classes had additional PA outside of the class participation. In addition, behavioral processes may be effective strategies for this specific target group to promote PA.
