The paper presents a short characteristic of an off-grid zone in the eastern regions of the Russian Federation. The main problems of power supply to consumers in this zone are described, and possible options for solving them are provided. A methodological approach and model tools to estimate the efficiency of alternative options of power supply to off-grid consumers are described. The factors affecting the selection of a rational option of power supply in the off-grid zone are classified. We show the interconnection between the main significant factors (availability of grid infrastructure, local fuel resources, complexity of fuel delivery logistics, characteristics of accessible power-generating equipment, and environmental constraints) and their impact on economic indicators of alternative options. Based on the systematized results of long-term studies, we present a scheme designed to select a rational option of power supply to a particular off-grid consumer according to characteristics of the described factors. Keywords: Off-grid consumers, alternative options, impact of factors, economic indicators, methodological approach, simulation models, economic efficiency.

The research approach method is a qualitative approach. The method of data collection is secondary data, secondary data needed is obtained from relevant agencies, namely from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Department of Agriculture as well as other literature related to research. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and analysis of Vector Auto Regression (VAR). The results showed that: 1) The dominant factors affecting rice prices in North Sumatra are 2, the first is 60% production because the higher the production of rice, the price of rice will decline and the lower the production, the price of rice will increase and the second factor is 38% inflation because if the price of rice continues to increase there will be inflation, but it is different from the fact that rice prices fluctuate due to the stability of rice prices. 2) Factors that affect rice prices in North Sumatra in the short term are significant, namely inflation and in the long term there are five significant factors, namely production (prod), harvest area (field), income (inc), consumption (cons) ) and inflation (inf). 3) From Impulse Response Function Analysis, it can be seen that the factors that influence rice prices in North Sumatra can be seen as stability, namely the production variable (Prod) reaches stability in the 25th period, the penen variable (Field) reaches stability in the period 28, the consumption variable (Cons) reaches stability in the 25th period, the income (Inc) variable reaches stability in the 20th period, the inflation variable reaches stability in the 27th period. namely inflation and in the long term there are five significant factors, namely production (prod), harvest area (field), income (inc), consumption (cons) and inflation (inf).

One of the most significant factors affecting road safety is human. Estonia has improved road safety dramatically since its re-independence in 1991, and among the other reasons, this has happened due to changes in behaviour of road users. Likely, at the same time, there have been annual studies conducted, aimed at measuring specific indicators connected to compliance with road traffic law. As a result, one gets long-term trends in such indicators as compliance with traffic signals, usage of seat belts, yielding to pedestrians at uncontrolled crossings. This paper aims to describe Estonian traffic behaviour studies, analysing their results and pointing out actual problems in traffic behaviour. According to the results of studies, all aspects of traffic behaviour showed positive trends, but these trends are different. Certain indicators such as usage of seat belts have changed dramatically, while others like compliance with traffic signals showed only moderate changes. The foremost problem in traffic behaviour is found out to be ignorance to yield at uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. It is certainly one of the issues to deal with in the context of achieving Estonian strategic goals in road safety.

Background. The article deals with the problem of selection in gymnastics and the reasons why it is necessary to research that. Artistic gymnastics carries the heaviest losses on the initial stages of specialized training, which explains the lack of science-based regulatory requirements in the gymnastics system, allowing diagnosing, assessing and predicting the development of the main indicators of physical condition and fitness of athletes in complex.Research aim was to develop additional criteria of young gymnasts’ selection at the initial stage of specialized training on the basis of the indicators of human body reserve opportunities.Methods. Experimental work was carried out with gymnasts aged 9 years (n = 15) and 10 years (n = 16) in the research laboratory of Povolzhskaya State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism and sports complex “Yar Chally” in Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Tatarstan (Russia).Results. Gymnasts aged 9–10 years had a harmonious type of power supply of the body: more gymnasts had aerobic-anaerobic type of muscular activity power supply. Gymnasts who qualified in the obligatory program of category 3 on pommel horse equally represented only the second and the third biological groups. The results of correlation analysis suggest that for gymnasts aged 9 years, the most significant factors affecting their special physical and technical fitness included aerobic capacity source of muscle activity energy supply and general metabolic capacity and for gymnasts aged 10 years – capacity and anaerobic power glycolytic sources of energy and muscular activity.Discussion and conclusions. Obtained information on the preferred for gymnastics bioenergy groups can help coaches in predicting abilities of young gymnasts. Keywords:  sportspeople, gymnasts, selection, model descriptions, indicators of reserve opportunities.

Tiga faktor dengan signifikansi &lt;0,15 adalah “penentu”, “kesesuaian”, dan “pengetahuan”.<br />Kata kunci : IECEE CB Scheme, pemanfaatan NCB dan CBTL Nasional, karakter produsen elektronika.</p><p><br />Abstract<br />Since 2005 BSN represent Indonesia as a member body in the IECEE. Up to now, Indonesia has 3 NCB and 4 CBTL which has received recognition to operate within the IECEE CB Scheme, however the potential for NCB and CBTL is not used optimally by the electrical engineering product manufacturer located in Indonesia. Based on the statistical data of CB Test Certificate (CBTC), until 2012, there are only 4 certificates issued by the NCB in Indonesia (Teguh et al, 2014). The aim of the research was to determine the characteristics of the producers that act as significant factors affecting the utilization of National NCB and CBTL. Hypothesis of this study is the character that affect the utilization were: (1) "Capital" for the status of foreign / domestic investment, (2) "Knowledge" for producers’ knowledge to availability of NCB and CBTL in Indonesia, (3) "awareness" for awareness of the company to benefits if NCB and CBTL available in Indonesia, (4) "suitability" for NCB and CBTL scope suitability compared to producers’ products, and (5) "Determinant" for party who deciding the election NCB and CBTL. This study used descriptive quantitative method, direct interviews with respondents, multiple regression analysis and correlation. Respondents were selected based on following criterias: (1) listed in CBTC statistical data, (2) located in Indonesia, and (3) product manufacturers have the same scope with the scope of the national NCB (HOUS, LITE, INST and BATT), expanded with TRON and OFF that the statistics dominate the CBTC in Indonesia and the world. 28 respondents were obtained, with 95% of confidence level for representing it population. Conclusion of the research was the five factors tested contribute strongly to the selection of NCB and CBTL by 78.2%, with positive correlation. Three factors with significance &lt;0.15 were "determinant", "suitability", and "knowledge".<br />Keywords: IECEE CB Scheme, utilization of National NCB and CBTL, electronic producers characteristics.</p>

Coconut is one of the most important small holder crops worldwide. Conservation of coconut as seeds or field gene banks is not effective due to a range of limitations. Cryopreservation, which is the conservation of living propagules at very low temperature (-196ºC), is the only method available currently for the long-term conservation of germplasm for problem plant species such as recalcitrant and vegetatively propagated plant species. This review summarizes different cryopreservation techniques that have been published from 1984 until the present in relation to different coconut material; it includes a brief discussion about short and medium-term cryopreservation before describing long-term preservation. It discusses factors affecting the process and success of cryopreservation, such as selection of plant material, pre-culture of tissues, osmoprotection, dehydration, cryo-storage, thawing and post-culturing of tissues, and finally to plants. The review also describes histological and ultra-structural studies on and the use of molecular markers to assess genetic stability after cryopreservation. Limitations and future directions related to coconut cryopreservation are discussed. Additional experiments are identified that will need to be undertaken to improve our understanding of the different cryopreservation methods.

Purpose. To determine the predictive factors that affect short term and long term postoperative drift in intermittent exotropia after bilateral lateral rectus recession and to evaluate its effect on surgical outcome.Methods. Retrospective review of 203 patients with diagnosis of intermittent exotropia, who had surgical corrections with more than 3 years of followup. Different preoperative parameters were obtained and evaluated using Pearson’s correlation analysis.Results. The proportion of exodrift increased from 62% at 6 weeks to 84% at 3 years postoperatively. The postoperative drift was4.3±8.1 PD at 6 weeks,5.8±8.4 PD at 6 months,7.2 ± 8.3 PD at 1 year,7.4 ± 8.4 PD at 2 years, and7.7 ± 8.5 PD at 3 years. Preoperative deviation and initial overcorrection were significant factors affecting the postoperative drift at 3 years (r=0.177,P=0.011,r=-0.349, andP<0.001, resp.).Conclusions. Postoperative exodrift along three years occurs in a majority of patients after bilateral lateral rectus recession for intermittent exotropia. The long term surgical success is significantly affected by this postoperative exodrift. A larger preoperative deviation and a larger initial overcorrection are associated with a larger early and late postoperative exodrift.

In the shallow and landlocked northeast Adriatic Sea, environmental factors have changed in recent decades. Their influence on seasonal and inter-annual variability of phytoplankton has been documented in the recent literature. Here, we decipher the long-term variability of phytoplankton phenology at a Long-Term Ecological Research site (Gulf of Trieste, Slovenia). Structural changes in the phytoplankton community (period 2005–2017) were analysed using a multivariate protocol based on Bayesian clustering. The protocol was modified from the literature to fit the needs of the study, using correspondence analysis and k-means clustering. A novel index for ordination and selection of taxa based on frequency and evenness was developed. The Total Inertia analysis showed that this index better preserved the available information. Typical seasonal assemblages were highlighted by applying the Indicative Value index in conjunction with likelihood ratio values. We obtained a rough picture of the seasonal separation of the diatom-dominated community from the mixed community and a refined picture of the phenology of the assemblages and bloom events. The spring diatom peak proved to be inconstant and short-lived, while the autumn bloom was generally long and diverse. As expected for nearshore environments, the average life span of the assemblages was found to be short-periodic (2–4 months). The second part of the year and the last part of the series were more prone to changes in terms of typical assemblages.
