In the modern system of school education, there are approaches to the implementation of physical education content with the help of various variable modules based on the sports means use. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the variable module "Wrestling" in the physical education of high school students on the main indicators of preparedness. Material and methods. The organization of study provided that during the 2017-2019 school years in Shchyrets secondary school №1 I-III degrees named after the Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Ilkiv of Shchyrets village council we introduced an experimental module "Wrestling" into the educational process of high school students in the discipline "Physical Culture". In general, in the 2017-2019 academic years to our study were involved 53 students of 10th forms (31 boys and 22 girls). In the 2017-2019 academic year – 74 students of 11th forms (41 boys and 33 girls). We used the following methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical data of and sources of the Internet, analysis of documentary materials, pedagogical testing, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. There were selected 8 tests which determined the general preparedness, 12 tests for special preparedness. To determine the technical and tactical preparedness of students we fixed six basic groups of techniques which they had to demonstrate. Results and discussion. There are established the indicators of efficiency according to the percentage values of changes in the main groups of indicators (general, special, technical and tactical preparedness) of high school students. Finding out the level of general competencies allowed us to substantiate that there were significant changes in all indicators (p≤0.05–0.01). According to the analysis of special preparedness (competencies), we obtained a significant (p≤0.01) improvement in the results of most tests and control exercises. The percentage values can be observed significant variability in the levels of representatives’ changes in different subgroups. Conclusion. The study confirms a number of experts’ opinions that high school students need a little more time to form a sustainable level of preparedness and more profound adaptive changes in indicators of different preparedness components. The implementation of the structure and content of the variable module significantly affected the level of general and special competencies and technical and tactical preparedness of high school students (both girls and boys). However, the educational process in secondary schools cannot be equated in organizational and methodological conditions, basic tasks and the main purpose with training in sports sections

The article considers the issues of educational motivation, in particular the motivation to study biology in secondary and specialized public schools. The paper examines types of learning motivation: internal and external (Derbeniova, 2012), social motives to learn (Bozhovych, 2001), motivation as a personal trait (Leontiev, 2002). Issues with low involvement of high school students to take an external examination in biology were also in focus. Some scholars argue, that secondaryschools are mainly focused on maintaining external motivation in the form of tests, orders and requirements, which has a detrimental effect on internal motivation and leads to a gradual decrease in students' interest in learning (Makovetska, 2015), while specialised  high school, in particular in the natural sciences, creates motivating learning environments, like innovative forms and methods of teaching, which build stronger student conscious motivation for learning and facilitate cognitive activity, which promotes the development of abilities and talents, needs and skills for self-improvement. future training (Moroz, 2006). Therefore, the purpose of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis of student motivation to study biology in secondary school and in the lyceum of biological profile. The phenomenon of motivation and learning motivation of secondary school students and specialized medical education institutions by surveying high school students using the methods of O. Okuneva, L. Vasilieva and additional questions on motivation to study biology. According to the method by O. Okuneva, L. Vasilieva, the level of development of learning motivation, type of motivation and motivation indicator as an indicator of success and avoidance of failures were revealed, factors influencing student learning were analysed. It is established that all blocks of the motivational structure have higher scores among the respondents of the specialised institution of secondary education. The largest statistical difference was observed in students of the two institutions in block 2, the formation of the ability to set goals. Students of the profile institution have a higher individual focus on learning, better formed internal incentives, as well as greater self-confidence and independence from other members of the group, whichhelps to choose a future profession. As a result of the survey, organizational forms of education and types of tasks that should be used in the educational process in order to strengthen the learning motivation of high school students are identified.

The aim of the work is to identify the functionality required by mobile messengers for convenient online communication between pupils and high school students. To achieve this aim, a survey of 116 questions was developed, which adjusted to the respondent’s answers and reduced its volume in order to avoid the respondents’ fatigue and to decrease the time spent on completing the survey. An online survey of students aged 16 to 24 living in different cities of the Russian Federation was carried out. Then the information obtained was processed, and possible relations between the analysis results were found. Based on the study results, recommendations were formed to improve messengers according to the students- users’ goals and objectives. Now messengers are created mainly for the widespread use. There are already more than a hundred of them, and therefore products need to stand out in order to be competitive. One of the ways to excel is to be narrowly focused, tailored to a specific audience. Since the functionality of the messenger directly affects its popularity, the introduction and refinement of the necessary functions will have a positive effect on the number of users. The analysis shows that developers of instant messengers can improve the efficiency of using messengers by the students and, possibly, reduce the number of installed mobile applications on their devices, and, consequently, decrease the number of competitors for their target audience.

Most teenagers are chronically sleep deprived. One strategy proposed to lengthen adolescent sleep is to delay secondary school start times. This would allow students to wake up later without shifting their bedtime, which is biologically determined by the circadian clock, resulting in a net increase in sleep. So far, there is no objective quantitative data showing that a single intervention such as delaying the school start time significantly increases daily sleep. The Seattle School District delayed the secondary school start time by nearly an hour. We carried out a pre-/post-research study and show that there was an increase in the daily median sleep duration of 34 min, associated with a 4.5% increase in the median grades of the students and an improvement in attendance.
