Research background: When analyzing the results, hypotheses were tested for the presence of a statistically significant relationship between the studied variables with a 5% error risk. The chi-square method was used to test for a statistically significant relationship, and the Cramer coefficient was used to determine the strength of the relationship. A survey conducted in Azerbaijan found mostly moderate statistically significant relationships between individual variables. Purpose of the article: The article discusses the most important aspects of the contemporary global problem of coronavirus infection COVID-19, shows the distribution of coronavirus across countries, analyzes the ability of different countries to counteract epidemics and pandemics by the Global Health Safety Index, shows the real situation of the effectiveness of the health systems of some countries in the fight against a pandemic. The aim of this study is to examine several aspects in connection with the pandemic and its impact on the education and tourism sector. The work also shows the impact of the pandemic on the global economy in general and on international tourism in particular. To activate the tourism market, the development of virtual tourism is proposed, which has great prospects in terms of quarantines and border closures. Methods: The article applies such general scientific research methods as analysis and synthesis, a systematic approach, methods of comparisons, expert assessments, as well as a method of analyzing hierarchies. Findings & Value added: Universities - many of which rely heavily on revenue from their foreign intakes - are being pushed to the brink. Around the world, international students and their parents are weighing their options as the pandemic wreaks havoc like never before on the overseas university education business. What was relevant this morning is already outdated by noon. Our task is to track existing trends, moods and suggest some prospects for getting out of the situation or adapting to it.

Research background: The modern goal of enterprises, value creation, is achieved through the concept of economic profit. Profit, as part of profit or loss, is one of the most important flows, pointing to how efficiently corporate capital is used in an entity (Coatney & Poliak, 2020). The article deals with the difference between accounting and economic profit, the selected form of economic profit - the EVA indicator. The economic value added (EVA) indicator is one of the best-known modern indicators of a company's performance (Siekelova et al., 2019). It shows whether the given entity increases its value or only earns for its economic survival. The benefit of this indicator is the valuation of equity and taking into account the risk. It is difficult to express the economic profit itself, therefore the article also addresses the issue of its calculation (Shah et al., 2016). The company needs to know its financial status and the direction it is heading, so we decided to calculate a selected form of economic profit. Purpose of the article: The company needs to know its financial status and the direction it is heading, so we decided to calculate a selected form of economic profit. When expressing the value of the economic value added indicator, it is also important to know the items and components of the calculation that have the strongest meaning and effect on the possible amount of the indicator. Given this, we decided to use a sensitivity analysis, which points to the effect of individual variables that participate in the construction of the EVA calculation. Methods: In this work, the methods of induction, deduction, and comparison were used to obtain a true picture of the subject issue. Methods of synthesis and analysis of the researched issues were also used. Findings & Value added: In the paper there is pointed out the intensity of the impact of individual variables that entered into the calculation of the economic value added indicator as a dominant indicator of concept of economic profit.

Research background: The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 had a significant impact on all aspects of life, from the point of view of the individual by forcing social isolation, moving work and study to the home, enormous pressure on the social and health system, but also by forcing closures of services and direct contact with customers. These, as well as other factors, have also had an impact on the performance of economies around the world. Purpose of the article: The paper aims to evaluate the development of the world's major economies in terms of macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade in the pandemic period and previous periods. The social and environmental aspects of the impact of the pandemic on selected economies are also reflected. Methods: Analysis of the main macroeconomic data, comparison and synthesis of findings. Findings & Value added: The interdependence of economies and interconnectedness of markets on transport routes associated with reduced mobility, forced isolation of people and death of economic activity had a significant impact on all the observed indicators, where a significant decline in GDP could be observed in all countries except China. This country was the only one that managed to keep GDP growth in positive numbers. Unemployment development was not equal in the observed economies due to different labour market environment. On the contrary, the environment has benefited in some way.

Research background: The conditions of globalization lead to a situation where consumers are overloaded with commercial information. Moreover, abundance of various promotional techniques makes consumers indifferent to many companies’ efforts. On the other hand, organizations are allocating tremendous parts of their budgets to create advertisements which sometimes remain unnoticed or do not stimulate consumer purchase intentions. Therefore, a wide body of scientific re-search on advertising effectiveness has emerged in recent years. Many aspects of advertising have been analysed, e.g. the effectiveness of advertising spokesperson, appeal, layout, etc. However, the research on advertising colour temperature and its impact on advertising effectiveness is still scarce. Purpose of the article: Considering the intensifying competition in the retail sector, creating attractive and stimulating advertisements becomes an important task for many organizations. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of the colour temperature used in advertisements on consumer purchase intentions. Methods: In order to determine the impact of advertising colour temperature on consumer purchase intentions, a questionnaire survey was provided. The questionnaire was elaborated based on the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature. Findings & Value added: The theoretical analysis substantiated the different influence of colours and colour temperature on consumer perception. Therefore, the assumption was made: all other parameters being constant, the colour temperature of an advertisement might have a different impact on consumer perception. The results of empiric research revealed the differences of the impact of colour temperature on consumer purchase decisions in terms of an attitude toward advertising and the brand, reported brand-related behaviour. The colour temperature related to insights for the enhancement of advertising effectiveness and guidelines for future research are provided.
