This chapter explores some of the ways in which affect and entitlement, friendship and privilege, and memory and hierarchy come together and fall apart. Focusing on my diverse elite subjects, including members of my cohort from high school—a co-educational institution with a privileged status in the heart of New Delhi—I seek to weave together narrative and analysis, ethnographic vignettes and anecdotal theory. Here, the many faces, colours, and smells of privilege are crucial to tracking the distinctions and differences, the contradictions and contentions among the elite. Indeed, at the core of my interpretive bid are critical questions turning on the incessant interplay between power and difference and authority and alterity.

The formation of character is needed by adolescents in this era. It is based with the many phenomena of juvenile delinquency. Characters will not be formed away so it needs an effort should be made of teachers in shaping the character of teenagers. In addition, the authors found the variation of the efforts of teachers holistically so that teenagers will easily formed his character in accordance with the purpose of the character education. The problem of this research is how the character education model Vocational High School who applied in the implementation of the formation of character in SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. The purpose of this study is the author would like to know a clear picture of the implementation of character education model in efforts to form children's character in School SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. This paper discusses the character education model be applicable in the planting of character values ​​to students in Vocational High School Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga. This type of research is a field research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods used include interviews, observation and documentation. As for analyzing the data obtained, the authors do by collecting all the data, reducing the data, presenting data, and verification of data. Results from this study showed that the model of character education is done to instill character values ​​to learners School SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Purbalingga using reflective models. Use of the character models adhering to the principles of character education and values ​​are developed in accordance with the level of development of learners.

To reason with existential rules (a.k.a. tuple-generating dependencies), one often computes universal models. Among the many such models of different structure and cardinality, the core is arguably the “best”. Especially for finitely satisfiable theories, where the core is the unique smallest universal model, it has advantages in query answering, non-monotonic reasoning, and data exchange. Unfortunately, computing cores is difficult and not supported by most reasoners. We therefore propose ways of computing cores using practically implemented methods from rule reasoning and answer set programming. Our focus is on cases where the standard chase algorithm produces a core. We characterise this desirable situation in general terms that apply to a large class of cores, derive concrete approaches for decidable special cases, and generalise these approaches to non-monotonic extensions of existential rules.

This article examines how female conditioning and sexual repression affect the woman’s sense of self, womanhood, identity and her place in society. It argues that the woman’s body is at the core of the many sites of gender struggles/ politics. Accordingly, the woman’s body must be decolonised for her to attain true emancipation. On the one hand, this study identifies the grave consequences of sexual repression, how it robs women of their freedom to choose whom to love or marry, the freedom to seek legal redress against sexual abuse and terror, and how it hinders their quest for self-determination. On the other hand, it underscores the need to give women sexual freedom that must be respected and enforced by law for the overall good of society.

This articles argues (a) that democratic discourse has already become hegemonic among mainstream Islamist movements in Turkey and the Arab world; (b) that while this development originated in tactical calculations, it constitutes a consequential transformation in Islamist political thought; and (c) that this transformation, in turn, raises critical questions about the interaction of religion and democracy with which contemporary Islamists have not yet grappled adequately but which were anticipated by medieval philosophers such as al-Farabi and Ibn Rushd. The argument is laid out through an analysis (based on textual sources and interviews) of key decisions on electoral participation made by Turkey’s AK Party and the Muslim Brotherhoods in Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. Particular attention is focused on these movements’ gradual embrace of three key democratic principles: pluralism, the people as the source of political authority, and the legitimacy of such procedural mechanisms as multiple parties and regular elections.

The biannual mega-event of Terra Madre is now established as the political flagship of the Slow Food movement. It assembles in Turin the leading cosmopolitan figures of this neo-tribal, post modern organization, along with several thousand of its ordinary members, who were drawn in 2006 from the ranks of food producers, cooks and academics. The most significant secular rituals of Terra Madre involve the theatrical celebration of its global character, beginning with the assembly of representatives from some 1600 ““food communities”” distributed throughout the world. Equally important are the many smaller scale activities in which the details of the movement's politics are articulated and embellished, at times in strikingly rhetorical ways. In this paper, which is based on ethnographic research, the theatrical and rhetorical qualities of Terra Madre as a political spectacle are explored in some detail. It is argued, in conclusion, that what is inadvertently exposed are some of the political myths which lie at the core of the Slow Food movement's contemporary philosophy.

We live in a society in which mobile and digital technologies are increasingly present in our daily lives and we cannot limit ourselves to knowing how to use them. It is important to know how to adapt them, personalize them and program them, if necessary, to solve our problems. Computational thinking is understood as the human ability to teach, humans or machines, to solve problems with the fundamentals of computing. Its development has gained space in education, formal and non-formal, through face-to-face practices. With the pandemic, the challenge arises to develop this skill with young people from high school in a public educational institution through online practices. In this article, we discuss the didactic design, based on the principles of online education, created for the development of computational thinking with online practices. The preliminary results indicate the feasibility of developing computational thinking from the perspective of online education.

Several phenotypes can come from transcription regulation. Sequence-specific transcription factors are needed to effectively execute transcriptional programs, however they are often not operating alone. Polycomb PcG proteins are a well-known class of chromatin regulators found in Drosophila melanogaster and other species, including humans. As time passed, the concept of a PCG gene or protein shifted from the original phenotypic meaning of mutant flies to the contemporary biochemical description. PCG genes and proteins are under investigation for their critical contributions to physiology and their cancer treatment potential. Adding additional PcG members, with substantial responsibilities in PRC modulation, has opened new routes of inquiry in the issue. It is still needed to discover the many PRC variations' roles and how their catalytic activity is controlled. This review covers mutually exclusive PRC2 variants and employs a technique like the one used for PRC1 variants. Based on current biochemical findings, these classifications are valid. More auxiliary PcG subunit research is needed for now. Moreover, it is unknown how many PRC cell variations occur (hypothetically, there could be more than 100 different PRC variants).In order to fully elucidate the new PcG proteins and complexes, it is necessary to perform comprehensive research. We must study context-specific genetic modifications to better provide remedies. Current anti-cancer drugs target mainly the core subunits and catalytic activity of PRC2 and PRC1, and understanding these functions is critical. Targeting each particular activity that has been deregulated might be rather beneficial. PCG proteins are involved in oncogenesis, tumor suppression, and development/congenital illness as well. PcG involvement in cancer, once revealed, would be intriguing. Successful and effective therapeutic therapies will be helped by a detailed understanding of the pathways that contain PcG proteins.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> Orienteering, a map activity, has been described as effective in learning geography in school education. When dealing with orienteering in school education, it is learning outdoors different from ordinary classroom lessons. Also, the environment surrounding school education differs from country to country. From this, it is important to show the practice of orienteering in school education in each country. In this research, I described the practice of orienteering in geography education of Japanese high schools in the following three viewpoints. The three viewpoints are the significance of orienteering in geography education, learning system of orienteering in geography education, examples of orienteering in geography education at school. The main points are as follows. <ol> <li>The skills given by orienteering are the basis of map learning and field learning in geography education.</li> <li>Learning system of orienteering is related to the map learning and field learning perspective, such as related to the map-scale linked with place.</li> <li>Orienteering practice in regular geography class at school grounds is the core, and good learning effect can be obtained. After this, orienteering can be expanded in a wide variety of directions.</li> </ol></p>

This article describes the results of research carried out among youth for determining the perceptions of the image of the future. The image of the future is a dynamic psychological state that sets a vector of life and self-organization of individuals, and serves as the basis for projecting the development of personality and resources, essential for realization of its life path. Leaning on the analysis of existing perceptions of the image of the future suitable for youth, it was established that it relates to the perception of life as a dependent on the subject of activity, which correlates with independence, self-control, acceptance of social roles and emotional self-esteem. The author assumes that there are three key strategies in description of the image of the future for young men and women: planning, description of emotional relationships, and self-determination. The research involved total of 1,538 respondents (610 male and 928 female, aged 14-28. The classical methodology developed by I. S. Kon &ldquo;Me in 5 Years&rdquo; served as the main method for this study. Images of the future for young men and women contain both, different and similar strategies. Young women receiving vocational education see their future through planning, and the ones studying in high school and universities &ndash; through self-determination. Young men who study in high school and universities see their future through emotional relationships, and students of vocational education &ndash; through self-determination. This implies that namely the level of educational institution (school, university, vocational education) allows forming certain gender differences in the image of the future.

Suatu lembaga pendidikan pasti mengharapkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan yang mana dapat membantu terwujudnya tujuan nasional. Keterpaduan pendidikan baik keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat sangat menentukan keberhasilan dalam dunia pendidikan. Keluarga merupakan lembaga pendidikan tertua, yang pertama dan utama dialami oleh anak dan lembaga pendidikan yang bersifat kodrat. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal hakekatnya merupakan lembaga yang mendapat kepercayaan dari orang tua untuk mendidik anak-anaknya dengan tanggung jawab yang terbatas, sesuai dengan fungsi dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Orang tua khususnya ibu mempunyai andil keberhasilan anaknya. Ibu adalah pendidik pertama, utama dan kodrat. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan judul " Perkembangan Kognitif Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun di tinjau dari tingkat Pendidikan Ibu Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian yang ditemukan bahwa tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan kategori sarjana lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tingkat pendidikan SLTA/SMK dan SLTP dalam hal mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak Rumbai Kota Perkanbaru   Abstract Education is understanding to develop the personality and in and out of school and lasted for hidup' , which was carried out within the family , schools and the community .An institution must expect the achievement of the aims of education where it can help maintaining national goals .Both the integrated education , schools and community it is the success in education sector .The family was the oldest educational institutions , first and foremost for children and educational institution that is nature .Schools as formal educational institutions is a substance that was commissioned from parents to educate anak-anaknya with limited responsibility , in accordance with its function and purpose the educational institutions.
