Collocations have a great potencial to the understanding of meanings, senses and concepts of words or terms they compound. In this article, we studied the collocations of the terms “segurança” in Portuguese, and “safety” and “security” in English, in aviation language. Our aims were to search for a better understanding of the studied conceptual units, and to offer a discussion about the role of collocations in Terminology. We built two comparable corpora, one with Portuguese texts from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency and the Brazilian Air Force, and another one with English texts from the International Civil Aviation Organization. We focused on the main collocations of the three terms in Portuguese and in English. The theoretical frame we adopted was the Communicative Theory of Terminology (CABRÉ, 1999) and we used the techniques of Corpus Linguistics (TAGNIN, 2010, 2013; BERBER SARDINHA, 2000) to design our methodology, assisted by the software WordSmith Tools, version 6.0. (SCOTT, 2012). We found noun and adjective collocations. The study is addressed to professionals, teachers and tranlators who make use of aviation language.   KEY-WORDS: Terms of Aviation; Terminology; Corpus Linguistics; Collocations.

The article deals and analyzed how the most appropriate loss of hostile aviation is considered, a scientific approach to the definition of the essence of the aerodrome network of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considered. The scientific novelty is that the changes in the aerodrome network of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the last 30 years are analyzed. The aerodrome network includes airfields, maneuver, spare, advanced, rear and false. The survivability of aviation is possible to provide “dispersed by operational airfields, civil aviation aerodromes, airfields of roads on drivers, etc. The purpose of the study is to analyze the state of the aerodrome network in Ukraine, its influence on the capacity of aircraft AF of Ukraine to complete the task of appointment. Considered how many aircraft has reached Ukraine from the Armed Forces of the USSR, and the branching of the airfield network for 1992. As of 01.01.92: the aerodrome network of military forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine accounted for 119 aerodromes. Investigated as less, at the beginning of the ATO in 2014, in the States of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military and military transport aircraft. This led to a decrease in the number of airfields used by the AF of Ukraine. At the time of the ATO, the number of AF of Ukraine, created on the basis of Air Force and PPA, was about 43 thousand people. As part of the Ukrainian AF of Ukraine at the beginning of 2014, there were about 160 combat aircraft and 20 military transport, which are based on 20 airfields. Considered whom when the excess aerodromes of the AF of Ukraine are transmitted with. Since the beginning of the ATO for April 2015, more than 200 units of PS equipment were restored and repaired, during 2017, another 9 airfields were repaired. The Russian military aggression AF of Ukraine used only a quarter of all military flyers in the country. At the beginning of 2018, this quantity has doubled. Conclusions. In our opinion, instead of dismantling of runways and selling aerodrome slabs, it would be more advisable to convey aerodromes that are not used by aircraft AF of Ukraine, aircrubs, commercial firms related to aviation, provided that they will be responsible for maintaining runways, strips and equipment provided. In this chapter, the authors present Air Navigation System (ANS) as a Socio-technical System (STS). The evolution of Human factor's models is presented (from 1972 to present time) and the role of society in human factor (HF) models is defined. The authors made an analysis of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) documents on risk assessment and the impact of the social environment on the aviation system. The authors obtained the results of the evaluation of non-professional factors: determination the social-psychological impact on DM of human-operator (H-O) by identifying the preferences; diagnosing individual-psychological qualities of H-O ANS in the development of flight situation; monitoring of the psycho-physiological factors as emotional state H-O ANS. Authors demonstrate some interesting advantages offered by the new methodology of forecasting the behavior of the operator in emergency situation (ES).

This study offers an assessment of the work of International Organizations regarding the Role of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in implementing international aviation safety standards, focusing on PT Lion Airlines in Indonesia. The study assesses the role of ICAO’s goals for international aviation safety and analyses the organisation’s safety standards as applied in Indonesia to PT Lion Airlines. Descriptive analysis is employed to describe all events or processes that are taking place by collecting data and then analyzing and interpreting it in a hypothesis testing. In this paper, we explore the potential of a corpus approach to study translated cohesion. We use key words as starting points for identifying cohesive networks in Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness and discuss how these networks contribute to the construction of literary meanings in the text. We focus on the role of repetition as a key element in establishing cohesive networks between lexical items. We specifically discuss the implications of our method for the analysis of cohesion in translated texts. A comparison of Lovecraft’s original novel and a translation into Italian provides us with a nuanced understanding of the complex nature of cohesive networks. Finally, we discuss the broader issue of applying models and methods from corpus linguistics to corpus stylistic analysis.

The article investigates the role of communicative-functional approach in the translation of scientific and technical literature, when the translation itself is seen as a tool to accomplish purposeful activity of communicators, representatives of different interlingual groups. In practical terms, the difficulties of translating scientific and technical texts are due to the peculiarities of scientific style, insufficient understanding of the terminology of a particular field of knowledge, which complicates the choice of adequate translation solutions. In this context, an important role is played by the translation strategy, where the communicativefunctional approach dominates. The translation is implicitly included in the communication structure between the author and the recipient. The relevance of the article is determined by the necessity of studying the problems of scientific and technical literature translation, taking into account the current realities of interlanguage information exchange. Summary: The article deals with the analysis of the interpretational field of the basic lexical units which represent the meaning of the concept “woman” in English and Kyrgyz languages and cultures. Comparative – contrastive analytical data of the most frequently used in both languages variants of the interpretation of the concept “woman” have been given. The semantic fields of nuclear and nearnuclear meanings of the lexical units, transforming the notion of “woman” in English and Kyrgyz languages and also the place and role of these notions in cultures and philosophy of the nations on the basis of mentality and traditional values have been studied and described. The situations of the use of this or that variant of the meaning of lexical unit. A comparative study of the definitions of the word “woman’ in English and Kyrgyz languages have been given. Приводятся ситуации использования того или ино- го варианта значения лексической единицы, проведено сравнительное изучение определений слова «женщина» в английском и кыргызском языках. The presented study determines the role of business aviation in the modern economy and examines the specific features of its development in Russia.Aim. The study aims to analyze the development of business aviation in Russia and its correlation with economic development in general.Tasks. The authors determine the benefits of business aviation as a business tool, examine the specific features of the Russian business aviation market and problems of its development, and identify factors that affect the development of business aviation in Russia.Methods. This study uses the methods of comparative and retrospective analysis, cross-country comparison, systems approach, and expert analytics.Results. Business aviation is a new segment of civil aviation for Russia. Therefore, it is advisable to rely on foreign practices in the management of its development. In many countries, business aviation is a separate industry that specializes in providing transport services to a wide range of corporate clients and/or individuals. The development of this industry is associated with the economic growth rate and the development level of the national economy, and also depends on the national institutional specifics. This study describes the specific features of development of business aviation in Russia and problems arising in the organization and management of this type of business.Conclusions. The authors develop a system of factors affecting the development of business aviation in Russia, describe the major problems of this industry, and propose solutions. The results of this study can be used in the development (adjustment) of business aviation development strategies in Russia both at the industrial and corporate level, and in the implementation of the national policy in this field.
