This commentary summarizes the contemporary design and use of surveys or questionnaires in nursing science, particularly in light of recent reporting guidelines to standardize and improve the quality of survey studies in healthcare research. The benefits, risks, and limitations of these types of data collection tools are also briefly discussed.

RESUMOObjetivo: refletir sobre a ciência da Enfermagem e o enfermeiro cientista, levando em consideração os desafios da produção científica, para atingir grau equivalente ou próximo ao do conhecimento confiável. Método: trata-se de estudo descritivo, tipo análise reflexiva, construído por meio da busca na SciELO, LILACS e BDENF, com os descritores enfermagem e ciência, utilizando-se o operador booleano AND, e com delimitação temporal de 2012 a 2017. Resultados: destaca-se, por esta reflexão, a necessidade do fortalecimento dos princípios norteadores da prática científica para o fortalecimento da ciência de Enfermagem. Torna-se imprescindível a utilização de ferramentas disponíveis na promoção de ações sociopolíticas que apontem para a qualidade de vida da sociedade na internacionalização por meio da divulgação das publicações em periódicos relevantes. Conclusão: contribui-se, por esta reflexão, para a propagação do conhecimento produzido na realidade dos serviços de saúde, na comunidade e nos centros de formação de Enfermagem, acarretando mudanças significativas que não se restringem ao universo acadêmico. ABSTRACT Objective: to reflect on the science of Nursing and the nurse scientist, taking into account the challenges of scientific production, to reach degree equivalent to or close to that of reliable knowledge. Method: it is a descriptive study, type reflexive analysis, constructed through the search in SciELO, LILACS and BDENF, with the descriptors nursing and science, using the Boolean operator AND, with temporal delimitation from 2012 to 2017. Results: this reflection highlights the need to strengthen the guiding principles of the scientific practice for the strengthening of nursing science. It is essential to use tools available in the promotion of sociopolitical actions that point to the quality of life of society in the internationalization through the dissemination of publications in relevant periodicals. Conclusion: this reflection contributes to the propagation of knowledge produced in the reality of health services, in the community and in nursing training centers, leading to significant changes that are not restricted to the academic universe. Phenomenological research is increasing in popularity in nursing research for good reason. The qualitative research method allows an in-depth exploration of patient lived experience. This knowledge has the potential to enhance quality of holistic patient care. To undertake this method of inquiry, however, it is imperative that holistic nurse researchers understand the philosophical underpinnings of the method and are familiar with the two major types of phenomenology in order to approach the study in a scholarly manner. The purpose of this article is to explicate the method’s historical roots of phenomenology, its evolution, its two major traditions and their differences, and some of the specialized terminology unique to phenomenology’s jargon so that their studies can contribute to sound nursing science and complete patient care.

ObjectivesThe DACAPO study as a multicentre nationwide observational healthcare research study investigates the influence of quality of care on the quality of life in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. The aim of this study was to investigate the acceptability to the participating research personnels by assessing attitudes, experiences and workload associated with the conduct of the DACAPO study.Design, setting and participantsA prospective anonymous online survey was sent via email account to 169 participants in 65 study centres. The questionnaire included six different domains: (1) training for performing the study; (2) obtaining informed consent; (3) data collection; (4) data entry using the online documentation system; (5) opinion towards the study and (6) personal data. Descriptive data analysis was carried out.ResultsA total of 78 participants took part (46%) in the survey, 75 questionnaires (44%) could be evaluated. 51% were senior medical specialists. 95% considered the time frame of the training as appropriate and the presentation was rated by 93% as good or very good. Time effort for obtaining consent, data collection and entry was considered by 41% as a burden. Support from the coordinating study centre was rated as good or very good by more than 90% of respondents. While the DACAPO study was seen as scientifically relevant by 81%, only 45% considered the study results valuable for improving patient care significantly.ConclusionCollecting feedback on the acceptability of a large multicentre healthcare research study provided important insights. Recruitment and data acquisition was mainly performed by physicians and often regarded as additional time burden in clinical practice. Reducing the amount of data collection and simplifying data entry could facilitate the conduct of healthcare research studies and could improve motivation of researchers in intensive care medicine.Trial registration numberNCT02637011; Pre-results.

Background and PurposeInvestigation of thoughts, experiences, and attitudes of nurse educators regarding theory-based research is important. Ultimately, nurse educators are the producers of nursing knowledge and providers of education. The aim of this study is to understand the experiences of nurse educators in selecting and using nursing theory to guide and inform the quality of their research.MethodsThis study has a descriptive phenomenological design, and the sample was comprised of nine nurse educators who had experience with theory-based research. The data were collected via in-depth personal interviews using a semi-structured survey form. The data were analyzed with content analysis as described by Graneheim and Lundman.ResultsFour themes emerged from the results of the study: “awareness of theory,” “meaning of theory-based research,” “harmony with the theory,” and “changing towards scholarship,” with 10 subthemes. It was determined that theory-based research helps nurse educators to improve themselves in academic and personal terms.Implications for PracticeAlthough the process of translating theory into research presents several challenges, all participants expressed that theory-based research contributed to their “theory advancing nursing science.”

describe the implementation of an integrated quality management component consisting of the quality of services provided by the school, human resources in teaching, the school environment, and learning process  in SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang.               The method used in this study, namely by using a naturalistic qualitative approach. Data collection is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study include the principal, teachers, employees, and students. The validity of the data is done by triangulation, and deeper observation. Analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.              The results showed that: (a) the quality of services to students in SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang had met good service standards. This can be seen from the services in the form of facilities and infrastructure which are quite complete in schools; (b) the quality of human resources in the education process shows good teacher resources. This can be seen from the teacher data which shows that the teaching staff at SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang 95% of educators with S1 qualifications in the field of education; (c) the quality of the environment in SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang is already good. This can be seen from the very strategic location of the school because the location of the school is in the middle of the city so that it is easily accessible by the community; (d) the quality of the learning process carried out by teachers at Pangkal Pinang YPAC SLB is good. This can be seen from the realization of the form of activities through learning planning by preparing lesson plans for each subject, then implementing learning, which includes strategies and methods used by teachers in delivering learning material, and evaluation of learning. Keywords: Integrated quality management, student achievement     ABSTRAK Tujuan dalam melaksanakan penelitian ini  adalah untuk melihat pelaksanaan serta mendeskripsikan implementasi  komponen Manajemen Mutu Terpadu yang terdiri dari kualitas layanan yang diberikan sekolah, sumber daya manusia dalam mengajar, lingkungan sekolah, dan proses pembelajaran di SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subyek penelitian ini antara lain kepala sekolah, guru, pegawai, dan peserta didik. keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi, dan pengamatan yang lebih mendalam. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui kegiatan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) mutu layanan terhadap peserta didik di SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang sudah memenuhi standar layanan yang baik. Hal ini dilihat dari layanan yang berupa fasilitas sarana dan prasarana yang sudah cukup lengkap di sekolah; (b) mutu sumber daya manusia dalam proses pendidikan menunjukkan sumber daya guru yang baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari data guru yang menunjukkan bahwa tenaga pengajar di SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang 95% pendidik berkualifikasi S1 bidang kependidikan; (c) mutu lingkungan yang ada di SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang sudah baik. Hal ini terlihat dari letak sekolah yang sangat strategis karena lokasi sekolah yang berada di tengah kota sehingga mudah dijangkau oleh masyarakat; (d) mutu proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru di SLB YPAC Pangkalpinang sudah baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari realisasi bentuk kegiatan melalui perencanaan pembelajaran dengan menyusun RPP setiap mata pelajaran, kemudian pelaksanaan pembelajaran, yang meliputi strategi dan metode yang digunakan guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of whether or not the quality of service, store atmosphere and promotion of consumer satisfaction at Pondok Jowi Restaurant Solo. The population in this study were consumers of Pondok Jowi Solo Restaurant in January 2020 at May 2020 with a total of 14,030 people. The sampling techniquemismpurposive samplingm which is a sampling technique with certain considerations by taking 100 respondents. Data collection uses a Likert scale questionnaire to measure respondents' answers to identify the relationship between service quality, store atmosphere and promotion of customer satisfaction. The results show that service quality, store atmosphere and promotion have a simultaneous and significant effect on customer satisfaction, servicei quality has assignificant effect on customer satisfaction, store atmosphere has a significant effect on customer satisfaction, and promotion has significant effect on customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine how high the level of customer satisfaction with the service of PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, to determine the quality of service to customer satisfaction PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, to determine the response of the PLN Kediri Kota in dealing with customer complaints. This research was conducted in the work area of PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. The research time was on March 18, 2017 to March 24, 2017. In writing this thesis, the author uses primary data collection techniques, namely by distributing questionnaires to PLN Rayon Kediri Kota customers who come to the payment counter. and PLN District Kediri City services. Based on the results of the research, the quality of service conducted by PLN District Kediri Kota is sufficient to satisfy its customers, as evidenced by the results of a questionnaire that has been conducted on 100 respondents of PLN Rayon Kediri City.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi tingkat kepuasan pelanggan terhadap pelayanan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, Untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota, Untuk mengetahui respons pihak PLN Kediri Kota dalam menghadapi keluhan pelanggannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah kerja PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. Waktu penelitian pada tanggal 18 Maret 2017 sampai dengan 24 Maret 2017. Dalam penulisan skripsi ini, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data primer yaitu dengan membagikan kuesioner terhadap pelanggan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota yang datang ke loket pembayaran dan pelayanan PLN Rayon Kediri Kota. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kualitas pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh PLN Rayon Kediri Kota sudah cukup memuaskan pelanggannya terbukti dengan hasil kuesioner yang telah dilakukan terhadap 100 responden PLN Rayon Kediri Kota.

Hidden curriculum is an integral part of the implementation of the education system. The existence of a hidden curriculum is absolutely necessary as a means of transfering positive character values to students. This study aims to determine the shape and implementation of hidden curriculum at Ehipassiko High School as one of the schools characterized by Buddhism. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique of this study uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the study show that the hidden curriculum that appears in actual curriculum practice is reflected in learning activities such as: (a) the initial, core, and final activities of learning, (b) attached to all subjects; (c) student attitudes and comliance, and (d) exemplary teacher. Hidden curriculum in the learning process has a function as a tool and methid to increase the repertoire of students knowledge as well as a melting atmosphere of learning, resenting a respected and interesting teahing educator mode, so as to arouse students interest in learning. This research is expected to be an input for Ehipassiko Hidh School n particular and Buddhist schools in general to improve the quality of good Buddhist education.

<em>The objective of this is research was conducted to find out how the influence of the price and quality of products against customer loyalty at PT. Alakasa Extrusindo Jakarta. This research was conducted in Alakasa Extrusindo PT by doing data collection, through the primary data and secondary data.  The research results showed that the simultaneous price variables  and product quality  has a positive and significant effect against the variable customer loyalty. partially showed that price variables has a positive and significant influence towards customer loyalty. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the quality of service issuance of Proof of Registration of Fishing Vessels (BPKP) in the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of South Sumatra Province and what factors influence it. Data collection techniques used were the distribution of questionnaires to 60 respondents who were capture fisheries business actors with a Likert Scale assessment, as well as conducting unstructured interviews, non-participant observation and secondary data collection. The dimensions used are tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The value of service quality based on tangible dimensions is 4.2 or good, based on the reliability dimension is 4.1 or good, the responsiveness dimension is 4.0 or good, the guarantee dimension is 4.1 or good, and based on the empathy dimension is 4.1 or good. Of all these parameters, it was concluded that the quality of BPKP issuance services in the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of South Sumatra Province in 2016 was good with a score of 4.1. The conclusion is based on an assessment of an average of 58 respondents or 97.4% of respondents.
