AbstractThe purpose of this study was to examine the effect of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on employee engagement in public sectors. To meet this purpose, a quantitative and qualitative study survey was conducted and the researcher used an explanatory survey research design. The study was used both primary and secondary sources of data. The target population for this study was selected four city administrative office employees including all kebeles office employees and as a sample size, 349 questionnaires were filled and collected from these employees. The study used proportionately stratified with simple random sampling because to collect the relevant data and to give equal chance for all employees. Later on, statistical package for social science (SPSS) was used to the required test of inferential statistics; including reliability analysis, bivariate correlation, analysis of variance (ANOVA) test, and multiple regression analysis. The finding of the study revealed that extrinsic motivation was considered more significant than intrinsic and there was a positive significant relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivations with employee engagement. From the results, it was also concluded that the relationship and effect of extrinsic motivation were stronger on employee engagement as compared to intrinsic motivation. As a recommendation, the organizations should find which ways are able to motivate employees, what drives them, then making sure they utilize appropriate motivational techniques with each employee. Managers should also endeavor to communicate the organization’s purpose to employees. Finally, the organizations should take steps to incorporate the vision of employees for the organization with its own vision.

Ethical practices are norms that are accepted and should be adopted in institutions to ensure a flawless procurement management process. The procurement system varies depending on the organisation in a major way due to the fact that most projects are donor-funded, thus creating inconsistency in public schools. This study aimed to determine the relationship between ethical principles and procurement management in selected public secondary schools in Kericho County. The study was guided by the following theories deontological theory and virtue ethical theory. The study adopted a correlation research design. The target population used 220 public secondary schools, which comprised of 1100 tendering committees. The study used stratified and simple random sampling techniques to sample the school.  The sample size was 294 respondents, which were derived using Yamane’s formula. Questionnaires were used for data collection. It is hoped that the findings of the study may benefit school management, scholars, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Descriptive and inferential methods were utilised for data analysis and presentation. ANOVA results indicated that ethical principles had a significant relationship with procurement management (p < 0.05). Ethical principles should be adhered to since it has improved procurement management significantly. Therefore, there is a need to tighten internal control systems in detecting procurement corruption and fraud to ensure integrity in the process.

Abstract This research aims to: 1) to know the relationship between facility management and IT-based infrastructures to increase employee work productivity after controlled loyalty; 2) know the relationship between facility management and IT-based infrastructure to employee work productivity. Quantitative research with this correlational study was conducted in the Ministry of Religion of Kulon Progo Regency with a target population of 75 employees. From 75, 66 of which used its data to be further analyzed in this study. Instruments used to collect research data through documentation and questionnaire. Testing the validity of instruments with the formula of Kendallu's tau_b Correlations, while the reliability of instruments was tested with the Cronbach Alpha formula with the significance of the number of correlation coefficient 0.05. While in the Data Analysis section is done by the analysis techniques of bivariate correlation and partial correlation with the help of SPSS (Statistical Product and Social Science) application. The results showed that the management of IT-based facilities and infrastructures (X) was not directly related to increased work productivity (y) because the relationship was mediated by the loyalty of employees (Z). This can be noted from a comparison of bivariate correlation between x and Y variables with the partial correlation between x, y, and z variables. The correlates of Bivariate (ryx) was 0.493 and a partial correlation (ryx. z) of 0.386.  Keywords: IT-based facilities and infrastructure, work productivity, loyalty Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui hubungan antara pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana berbasis IT terhadap peningkatan produktivitas kerja pegawai setelah dikontrol dengan loyalitas; 2) mengetahui besarnya hubungan antara pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana berbasis IT terhadap produktivitas kerja pegawai. Kata Kunci: Sarana dan Prasarana Berbasis IT, Produktivitas Kerja, Loyalitas

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the role of employee engagement with their work as a mediating factor in the relationship between utilisation of a human resource information system (HRIS) and employee performance in five-star hotels in Jordan. A conceptual framework based on social exchange theory and content analysis of similar previous studies was developed. A quantitative approach and simple random sampling were used to obtain data via questionnaires completed by 221 human resources (HR) employees working at 21 five-star hotels in Jordan. The response rate was 71%. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used to analyse and verify the study variables. The findings revealed that use of a HRIS had a significant positive influence on both employee performance and work engagement, while the latter acted as a partial mediator between HRIS utilisation and employee performance.
