The article highlighted the necessity to determine the dependence of maximum pressure of wheel propellers on the parameters of tractor, wheel and the soil characteristics, for calculation the crop energy, which was lost due to the negative impact of the tractor wheels on the soil. Using the theory of similarity, the criteria of similarity was defined and several options of dependence of maximum pressure of tractor wheels on the soil were identified, taking into account various factors. The use of the similarity theory helped to reduce the number of factors for the design of experiments while maintaining the informative value of the title of the regression equation.

The author proves that the successful stability of independent Slovenia contributed to a number of factors, existing since its being incorporated in the SFRY. The factor, uniting the state has become the common goal – the aspiration to join the EU. The process of the European integration contributed to the modernization of a number of spheres, in particular social, cultural and economic ones. The global financial and economic crisis has revealed the turmoil in the economy of the state and its leadership was forced to gradually reduce a significant part of social privileges for the population. This caused the tension in the society and reduced the level of the national unity, having a negative impact on people’s wellbeing. However, since 2014, the Prime Minister M. Cherar has been trying to restore people’s trust in the state. The situation is getting better; indicators of trust in government are increasing, which also points to state capacity and political regime stability in Slovenia. Keywords: Slovenia, state stability, social sphere, government

Background: In recent years, the Design of Experiments (DOE) is used for removing pollutant from wastewater by nano-adsorbent. Some methods are Taguchi, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and factorial design. The aim of this paper is to review different used methods of DOE in removing pollutant to suggest some notations to scholars. Methods: The reviewed papers were searched in Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science randomly and categorized based on DOE methods. Results: Number of factors and responses in DOE for removing pollutants from wastewater are between 2-6 and 1-4, respectively. There are several computer software programs that provide simple use of these methods, such as Qualitek, Design Expert, Minitab, R and Matlab Programming. All models have a coefficient of determination R-sq more than 0.9. Conclusion: All the mentioned methods are appropriate because of the high R-sq value. Since the largest number of runs are used in RSM, it is not suitable for the experiments which are conducted by expensive materials and process. Furthermore, Design Expert and Minitab are the most popular software used by scholars in DOE methods for the removal of pollutant.

A preliminary analysis of turbine design, fit for pulsed flow, is proposed in this paper. It focuses on an academic 2D configuration using inviscid flows, since pressure loads due to wave propagation are several orders of magnitude higher than friction and viscous effects do not significantly impinge on the inviscid part, as previously shown by Hermet, 2021. As such, a large parametric study was carried out using the design of experiments methodology. A performance indicator adapted to unsteady environment is carefully defined before detailing the factors chosen for the design of experiments. Since the number of factors is substantial, a screening design to identify the factors influence on the output is first established. The non-influential factors are then omitted in a more quantitative study of the output law. The surface response calculation allows determining the factor level favouring the best output. Consequently, the main trends in the turbine design driven by a pulsed flow can be stated.

Currently, state institutions of higher education are under pressure from business, the population and the state, which leads to the creation of conditions for dynamic changes in the internal environment of universities. This contradiction between the internal and external environment of universities in the conditions of dynamically changing markets at the post-industrial stage has a negative impact on institutional efficiency, and in these conditions, with the acceleration of instability, a third managerial structure begins to appear that can satisfy the demand for innovations organizations to hybrid universities, which combine a professional, administrative bureaucracy and adhocracy, with no severe restrictions in its structure. In this regard, the authors adapted the features of adhocratic organizations to the conditions of higher education, considered the possibility of applying an adhocratic approach to building the structure and design of an organization on the example of the Astrakhan State University, and identified a number of factors that limit the spread of adhocracy in Russian universities. The main results of the study and the following conclusions were obtained: the organization of training should be carried out on the principles of teamwork for the implementation of complex innovative projects, for which it is necessary to create and develop an appropriate facilities and resources; socialization is one of the key practical models for preparing students in the context of project-based learning and an adhocratic approach; any adhocratic system is a self-learning system, the formation of which requires the creation of appropriate conditions for training and development of university staff; the transition from a professional university to an adhocratic one must be carried out gradually, combining both forms of bureaucracy and adhocracy.

Making generators at lower cost has had a significant negative impact on the current fleet of generators, units less than about 30 years old. A number of factors have come into play, including the “reinventing old problems”, designs that push duties to higher and uncharted levels, and pressures to manufacture new machines more quickly and with less costly materials and processes. Couple these competitive market realities with reduction in number of engineers in OEM organizations and the loss of institutional knowledge as elders have retired, and it is not surprising that some machines are failing much sooner than historically expected. This paper will present examples of some of the more critical missteps for various 3600 (3000) and 1800 (1500) RPM generators and propose practical maintenance approaches for power plant engineers.

BACKGROUND: The pharmaceutical bill is increasing at an alarming rate. The physician practice variation has a pronounced effect on healthcare spending. A number of factors can influence the prescribing behavior of physicians. The aim of this review was to identify the factors affecting the prescribing decision of physicians.METHODS: Electronic databases including Scopus, PubMed/MEDLINE CENTRAL, Cochrane Libraries and Google scholar were searched systematically for literatures on factors influencing prescribing decisions of physicians from 2000 to 2016. There was no restriction on the study designs.RESULTS: Thirty-three studies met the inclusion criteria from 1122 search results. A total of 33 factors were identified. The most frequent factors were patients’ clinical condition, pharmaceutical industries, physician attributes, patient preference and cost of medicine.CONCLUSION: Physicians’ personal attributes, cost of the medicine and pharmaceutical industries’ marketing and promotion strategies were mostly mentioned to influence prescribing decision. The identified factors showed that prescribing is not only geared for patient benefit, but also towards personal interest. The use of valid and reliable practice guidelines could reduce the negative impact of wide ranges of factors and promote the rational prescribing effectively.

In order to fix on the inner connection of modification coefficient and bend strength, the static analysis of profile-shifted gear is made by applying Finite Element Method, then regression equation that revealed the relation between modification coefficient and bend strength is set up according to the Similarity Theory. Given bend stress of a standard gear, the bend stress of any profile-shifted gear with the same teeth can be calculated from the equation.

Nepalese hillside terraces are classified into two broad groups, sloping or bari terraces which are only rainfed, and level or khet terraces which are commonly flood irrigated but may also be rainfed. Although such terraces may be adjacent, the process of irrigation by flooding and puddling changes the pattern of variability both within and between terraces. Data collected from Pakhribas Agricultural Centre, Dhankuta, Nepal, were used to describe this variability. The variability is manifest not only in the soil characteristics of the two terrace types, with khet terraces being more uniform than bari terraces both within and between terraces, but also in the variability of field experiments on the two terrace types. However, both terrace types exhibit similar patterns of variability which influence the design of experiments. These include the following: a gradient between the terrace riser and wall which is generally more important than gradients along the terrace, variability within terraces which can preclude the assumption that plots on the same terrace are similar, and variability between terraces which requires experimental units in the same block to be assigned to the same terrace.

A similarity criteria were reveled to determine the dependence of maximum pressure of the tractor wheel on the soil on the basis of the use of similarity theory. Each similarity criterion includes several parameters, characterizing the tractor, its propeller and physical and mechanical properties of the soil. The similarity criteria is taken as factors in the multivariate experiment. Multifactorial experimental studies were planned and carried out. We used Statistics Toolbox subsystem of Matlab computer mathematics system for processing the results of experiments. As a result of statistical processing of the experimental data by the equation we obtained a dependence of maximum pressure of the tractor wheel on the soil from tractor parameters, and physical and mechanical properties of the soil. Statistical data on the equations, such as - multiple correlation coefficient, Fisher’s criterion, Student’s criterion, indicate the significance of equations of the experiments variants, as well as the significance of the coefficients of the regression equations.
