The state of the transport complex of the municipality is one of the significant indicators of the level of socio­economic development of the territory. Important criteria for the effectiveness of managing this sector were the degree of development of public passenger transport, problems and prospects for improving this industry.The authors analyzed some elements of the city public transport management system in a number of municipalities of the Altai Territory, including as part of inter-municipal cooperation, and studied the opinion of residents on the issue under study.The relevance of the topic is emphasized by the ongoing national project, its federal and regional components, programs aimed at improving the industry and considered as instruments of regional and municipal policies in the field of managing the transport complex of territories.

The paper presents some aspects of operation of municipal transport system in the city of Lublin (Poland). Organization of Lublin Municipal Transport Company was described, its efficiency and perspectives of development. Particular attention was paid to the rules of adjustment to the EU requirements, and to the influence of demographic and social factors. Infrastructure of public transport in Lublin was analyzed (busses, trolley‐busses, bus stations, fixed objects and bus stops), as well as configuration of bus and trolley‐bus lines. Some specific proposals were also put forward regarding development solutions: development plan of trolley‐bus traction, plan of inter‐connection bus station, development plan of bus traction, introduction of advanced IT solutions into the public transport management and natural gas (CNG) fuelling of the city busses. This paper presents theoretical comments on the “Taiyuan’s Urban Master Planning (2010-2020)” mainly in the aspects of the city's orientation, functions, urban transportation and eco-environmental planning. It can be seen that the master planning have a new scientific orientation of the city of Taiyuan by perceiving it as “a historic ancient capital of culture"; sufficient attention is paid to the relocation, renovation and update of TISCO, TCIGO and other heavy chemical companies; the newly designed urban public transit passenger transport organization mode is utilized to settle the increasingly prominent urban transport problems; tourism development is promoted under the premise of the protection of ecological environment as well as historical and cultural heritages; a number of shortcomings and recommendations for improvement are also proposed, trying to provide decision-making references for further adjustments and improvements of Taiyuan’s urban planning.

The article presents an analysis of punctuality and regularity of public transport buses on selected routes of Szczecin and Police. Research were carried out in May 2018 on working days in the afternoon transport peak and in November 2018 on working days before the afternoon peak, during the afternoon transport peak and after the afternoon peak based on data from the Central Public Transport Management System They included two bus lines. Research indicated, among others, places of increased road traffic.

The paper aims to be a model of analysis on passenger transport management for Bucharest and the metropolitan area, in order to stimulate the economic development of the city by supporting economic activities of local interest, by increasing the mobility of the transport system, economic activities that benefit local communities and that do not adversely affect people's health or the environment. The analysis presented proposes the use of geospatial information systems for urban traffic management and the construction of traffic simulation models.

Examined is the importance of transport accessibility of universities when choosing their Alma Mater by applicants. The analysis of the use of passenger transport by students in the city of Volgograd — the largest city in the Russian Federation with a population of more than 1 million people; the data of a questionnaire survey of university students of the city, most of whom live in the most remote areas from the center, are presented. It describes the types of public transport that students use to get to their place of study, the content characteristics of the route structure, including transfers, fare, reliability and comfort of transport, stability of the schedule, travel time, waiting for public transport, etc. The shortcomings of the most popular student routes and the city’s transport system, which is a complex and extensive network, are identified; conclusions are drawn about the transport accessibility of universities and recommendations for improving transport transportation along popular student routes.

This article discusses the organizational and economic problems of the functioning of public transport in the city of Novosibirsk using the example of the Municipal treasury enterprise ‘Passenger Motor Transport Enterprise No. 4’. The main objective of the study is to find ways to solve problems which arise at this enterprise and which are common for urban passenger transport in a large city. The article analyzes the results of the enterprise, as well as the transport situation in Novosibirsk. The growth of the private car fleet significantly worsened the state of the urban environment in most cities of Russia and created a number of difficult to solve problems. Based on the study of solutions to similar problems in other cities and countries, the conclusion is drawn about the need for the accelerated development of urban passenger transport in comparison with other modes of transport. The search for effective ways to influence the behavior of transport users will make it possible to create a ‘healthy city’ that forms the necessary safety and quality of life for citizens.

The aim is to study the congestion of urban passenger transport in the historical part of Bratislava for the possibility of introducing crowdsourcing technology. The visual methods of examination are used in work. According to the results of the study, data were obtained on the congestion of urban passenger transport and its distribution by hours of the day at the entrances to the historic part of the city. The obtained results indicate the possibility of using crowd shipping technology in off-peak periods. Monitoring of public transport flows in the urban core will identifying the distribution of travellers and contribute to understanding the time window for implementing crowd shipping technology during the day, minimal whit influence on the other participants of the transport process. The peak traffic load is observed on the routes passing through the Slovak National Rebellion (SNP) square in direct downtown of the city, from 8 am to 9 am and from 4-6 pm in the evening, and from 7 am to 8 am in the morning and 5-6 pm for the routes passing through the SNP bridge across the river Danube. A new way to monitoring the number of passengers in public transport was suggested. The paper provides credits for future development sharing technology and sustainable development of transport in Slovakia. The results could be usfull for transport policy and regularities for local government in Bratislava in case of apply new delivery technology.

Until now there are 165 unit fleet of public transport passangers that still operation while the capacity of passangers public transport is 12 pass/vehicle.  The purpose of this study is to know the performance of passangers public transport Sweta – Ampenan route. The method used is the empirical that used data from  static survey and dynamic survey. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja angkutan umum penumpang rute Sweta – Ampenan. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini yaitu metode empiris dengan menggunakan data hasil survey statis dan survey dinamis. Hasil studi kinerja angkutan umum penumpang rute Sweta – Ampenan diperoleh nilai load factor rata – rata sebesar 50,74 %, frekuensi rata-rata sebesar 28 kend/jam, headway waktu rata – rata sebesar 2,12 menit, dan kecepatan tempuh rata – rata sebesar 23,93 km/jam.Kata Kunci : Kinerja, Angkutan Umum Penumpang, Kota Mataram

ROMANSE — Road Management System for Europe — is multi-million pound pilot project based in Southampton. It aims to use Advanced Transport Telematics (ATT) to develop the city as a model for transport management systems across Europe. ROMANSE achieves this by providing realtime traffic and travel information to influence travel behaviour, increase the use of public transport, maximize the efficiency of the transport system and provide high-quality information for use in strategic policy decisions.
