Character building not only as an issue of education development, but also as a process of citizen moral building. Character building as an education focus in all of education level from elementary school  into university spend a high attention. Mathematics education can’t release from mathematics. So, If we want to build the student character, we must be use the philosophies values of mathematics education by expression the characteristic of mathematics as the object is abstract, the symbol is no meaning, agreement reached and deductive axiomatic thinking, and non contradiction. There are many character value in the mathematics instruction that related with the characteristic of mathematics that can be integrated with Al Qur’an that we hope can support national education purposes, as agreement reached, consistent, deduction and whole. The student character can  be build by mathematics instruction as religious, truth, tolerance, discipline, creative, democratic,  sense to know, nationality, and communicative.

Fascinating to some and frightening to others, the computer has emerged from its infancy to become a gangling adolescent with a voracious appetite for new challenges! And yet, the computer offers wonderful possibilities to free men from routine and release them to genuinely creative behavior. For years a primary objective of elementary school mathematics instruction was to make “computers” of persons. The application of the computer should now permit us to make “persons” out of persons in our curriculum. This month's issue of The Arithmetic Teacher features articles dealing with the computer, its use in mathematics education, and its significance for the classroom.

Abstract. The formation of character is one of the national education goals. Article 1 of the 2003 Education Law states that among the objectives of national education is to develop the potential of learners to have intelligence, personality and noble character. Currently karakterbangsa strengthening of the strategic priorities of national education progra, given the state of the nation must be returned to the characterization of identity bangsa.Berbagai efforts should be made to build character education, including through modeling (modeling) characters through 3D animations Fim impressions. The strength of this medium is its appeal capable mengypnosis children so charges can be internalized character education in children. The purpose of this research is to "develop Animation 3D Virtual Reality for Education Character in elementary school," This study uses the Research & Development (R & D) through the stages: (1) analysis of the needs of the Media, (2) Media Development, (3) Validation and Product dissemination. Subjects were students of primary schools, with three locations in West Java (Bandung, Cimahi, Bandung regency). The results of this study indicate that the model is designed with ABC animation (animation character building) a positive impact on habituation as a first step to the formation of character in elementary students.Keywords: Character Education, Film 3D AnimationAbstrak. Pembentukan karakter merupakan salah satu tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pasal 1 UU Sisdiknas tahun 2003 menyatakan bahwa di antara tujuan pendidikan nasional adalah mengembangkan potensi peserta didik untuk memiliki kecerdasan, kepribadian dan akhlak mulia. Saat ini penguatan terhadap karakter bangsa menjadi prioritas program strategis pendidikan nasional, mengingat kondisi bangsa harus dikembalikan pada karakterisasi jati diri bangsa. Berbagai upaya perlu dilakukan untuk membangun pendidikan karakter, diantaranya melalui pemodelan (modeling) karakter melalui tayangan Fim Animasi 3D. Kekuatan media ini adalah daya tariknya yang mampu menghipnosis anak sehingga muatan-muatan pendidikan karakter dapat diinternalisasi pada diri anak. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah “mengembangkan Film Animasi 3D untuk Pendidikan Karater di Sekolah Dasar”, Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D) melalui tahapan : (1) Analisis kebutuhan Media, (2) Pengembangan Media , (3) Validasi dan Diseminasi Produk. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SD, dengan lokasi di tiga wilayah Jawa Barat (Cimahi, Kabupaten Bandung Barat dan Cianjur). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model animasi yang didesain dengan ABC (animation character building) berdampak pada pembiasaan positif sebagai langkah awal untuk pembentukan karakter pada siswa SD.Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Karakter, Film 3D Animasi

The purpose of this research was to discover the influence of participative leadership aspects of village head either partially or simultaneously to the education development. The research was conducted in Gorontalo region in 2010 and the population BPD, LPM, village officials, elementary school and elementary school committee. The samples were selected by proportional random sampling technique and the main instrument employed rating scale tests in the form of close statements with alternative answers. To complete the discussion qualitatively, the research used interview technique for the Regent of Gorontalo district, the head of national education office, and other parties which considered important. After analyzing the data with path analysis, the research concluded, participative leadership aspects of village head either partially or simultaneously, give real contribution to education development.

Abstract: Prophetic Literature learning as a Medium to Develop Student Character. Recently, the character education mainstreaming has been boosted in the national education development. Substantially, the concept of character education is included in the formulation of the national education goals. Therefore, one important aspect in the context of character education is the collective consciousness of all parties involved in the activity. One attempt to develop character is through literature learning, including prophetic literature. Prophetic literature learning can provide joy of life and balance between thoughts and feelings. In such a way, students’ dignity is respected and they become whole human beings who possess knowledge, skills, good heart, and sensitivity.Keywords: education goals, literature learning, character building

Realizing the character building on students is a national education goal. The character education is very important for the students. Therefore, the socialization and enculturation of national character education in schools by using an effective and efficient method are needed. This study aims to understand the process of socialization of character education in elementary school, to find the effective way of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through comics, and to determine the impact of socialization models of national character education for students in elementary school through the comic for the character building of students. This research was conducted using qualitative methods (Research & Development). The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that the socialization of the nations character education in primary schools is done in several ways; integrated with in the curriculum through the school management, and through extracurricular programs. Those ways do not seem to produce maximum results. Socialization model of the national character of education in the elementary schools through the comic is more effective to apply, because students are more interested in the visualization of interesting and familiar images.Menyadari pembangunan karakter siswa adalah tujuan pendidikan nasional. Pendidikan karakter sangat penting bagi para siswa. Oleh karena itu, sosialisasi dan enkulturasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah-sekolah dengan menggunakan metode yang efektif dan efisien diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami proses sosialisasi pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar, untuk menemukan cara yang efektif untuk model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik, dan untuk menentukan dampak dari model sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa bagi siswa di sekolah dasar melalui komik untuk membangun karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif (Research & Development). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi pendidikan karakter bangsa di sekolah dasar ini dilakukan dengan beberapa cara, terintegrasi dengan subjek termasuk, melalui manajemen sekolah, dan melalui program ekstrakurikuler. Mereka cara tampaknya tidak menghasilkan hasil yang maksimal. Model Sosialisasi karakter nasional pendidikan di sekolah dasar melalui komik lebih efektif untuk diterapkan, karena siswa lebih tertarik pada visualisasi gambar yang menarik dan akrab.

Purpose of the study: This research aims to figure out the effectiveness of Wulang Reh script values presented virtually at elementary school during the instructional process. Methodology: The research method used was an experiment adapted from Borg and Gall. The data collection technique applied to collect them was by distributing questionnaires to fifth-grade students divided into the control and experimental classes, each consisting of 26 students. Likert Scale was taken to analyze the data by assessing the pre-test and post-test. Main Findings: It is found that less attractive learning media at present condition resulted in unsuccessful or less effective on the students’ character building related to the moral values based on the local culture. It needs to present the material through technology as the new learning media to link and integrate today’s perspective and learning goals. Application of this study: The result of this study can be used as the reference or stepping stone for other subjects seen from two aspects. Firstly is that it can be used as the model for other relevant subjects to include local culture, technology to achieve learning goals. Secondly, it can be implemented as the media to conduct an integrated study of subjects taught at the elementary school by crossing them. Novelty/Originality of this study: Included local culture in terms of folklore presented in virtual technology by combining audiovisual into an attractive learning media is the novelty in this study. It is hardly found a similar study by the learning goals for character building from national education perspective.

This study aims to determine how the management of madrasah principals in fostering religious character education in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative method. The principal of State Islamic Elementary School 1 in Dusun Curup, Rejang Lebong Regency is the main sample in this study, the data collection technique uses the interview method, observation and documentation, the data analysis of the research results uses the reduction technique, triangulation and the conclusion of the research data. Based on this research, it is concluded that the management of the head of State Islamic Elementary School in fostering religious character education in the digital era by leading to the psychological side of students which has implications for behavior, character building in children is carried out in order to create students who have good knowledge and behavior. The character of State Islamic Elementary School students has values that come from Pancasila, religion, culture, and national education goals, namely honest, tolerance, religious, discipline, cooperation, creative, democracy, independence, national spirit, curiosity, love for the country, friendly, communicative, respect for achievement, love peace, care for the environment, love to read, care about socially, and have responsibility. Students' religiosity is shown by obedient attitude or behavior in carrying out the religious teachings that have been adhered to, being tolerant of the implementation of religious worship and living in harmony with followers of other religions. The results showed that the management of the head of State Islamic Elementary School in fostering religious character education had gone well by planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating it very well. Information technology helps facilitate all human activities, information retrieval, convey information and literacy about the addition of knowledge in learning by utilizing technology, so that students can learn by making maximum use of learning resources.

This paper discusses the importance of the students ‘character building in the level of primary school/Islamic elementary school to face the globalization and information era. Education is the process of determining the nation’s character. Good or bad character of the nation in the future will be determined by the present quality of education. Building the character through Tahfidzul Quran learning approach is expected to be the main foundation to improve the degree and prestige of learners as the asset of the nation. This study aimed to describe the process of Tahfidzul Quran learning which included planning, organizing, doing action and monitoring the important role of learning itself to build the learners’ character, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.
