This research was conducted to see how Mohammad Natsir thought about the relationship between Islam and Pancasila. This study also explains the causes of Natsir's change of mind which initially supported Pancasila as part of Islam and later turned into an opponent of Pancasila in Konstituante on 11 November to 6 December 1957. The methodology used was a qualitative method by describing the results of the analysis carried out. The research data is obtained through a review of documents and scientific literature. The results of the study show that Mohammad Natsir's change of mind regarding the relationship between Islam and Pancasila was influenced by Mohammad Natsir's political socialization which began from Natsir's view of Islam influenced by the childhood environment (conditional and socio-cultural) in Minangkabau; direct influence from national figures such as Ahmad Hassan, H. Agus Salim, Sheikh Ahmad Syurkati and H. O Tjokroaminoto; the indirect influence of international figures throughout reading book such as Hassan Al-Banna, Amir Syakib Arselan, Rashid Ridha and Muhammad Abduh; the influence of Natsir's organization and political parties, namely Jong Islamieten Bond (JIB), Islamic Unity (Persis), and Masyumi political parties; and the influence of the political conditions at that time which made Natsir's views change, which initially accepted Pancasila and then became an opponent of the Pancasila. This research shown there are two patterns of Natsir's relationship with Pancasila, namely (1) Natsir accepted Pancasila and, (2) Natsir opposed Pancasila.

Stress reactions occur when an environmental event taxes one’s ability to cope. The study investigated the relationship of stress with conduct and achievement. A sample of 60 students (14-18 years) from Government schools was incidentally selected. Stress was measured with the help of a scale by (Tubesing and Tubesing, 1983) which assesses symptoms of physical, emotional and mental stress. Conduct was assessed in terms of the judgment of class teacher on a bipolar adjective checklist developed by the researcher about different behaviours of the student like punctuality, perseverance etc. Average marks obtained by a student throughout one academic session was used as a measure of academic achievement. The results revealed higher level of stress, specially emotional stress among male adolescents as compared to females; better conduct and academic achievement by females. Mental stress was found to be negatively correlated with achievement for both but with conduct for females only. Overall stress was found to be significantly negatively correlated with achievement in females; positive correlation between conduct and academic achievement was found. The study implies that out of different forms of stress, mental stress has more deleterious impact on academic achievement of adolescents; although females have been found to be higher in good conduct, mental stress undermines it too. Findings suggest a need for training of teachers and parents to help their wards in developing the skills to manage mental stress.

Disaster may occur anytime and anywhere, and is generally unpredictable. Therefore, the most important to do is disaster management to minimize any harmful impacts of disaster. To be more effective and efficient, it needs to involve all related parties. In regions, the relationship between village institutions is of high importance in disaster mitigation. This is because it is village administration (government) that is in direct relationship with community, and that the latter is one directly impacted by disasters in regions. Thus, in the context of disaster mitigation, the relationship between village institutions should be strengthened. Accordingly, the problem studied in the present research was, how is the strengthening of institutional relationships of villages in Garut Regency?. The research method used was a qualitative method. The data collection techniques used were interview and observation. Interview was conducted with village officials and Destana volunteers. And observation was performed in the field on the activities conducted relating to disaster mitigation measures in the four villages which were the research objects, namely, Pasawahan, Rancabango, Mekarjaya, and Karyamekar. The research result revealed that the institutions in the four villages have been good enough but still need to be strengthened in the context of disaster management. The four villages were vulnerable to disasters and have had Destana instrument as a guard of disaster management at village level. In view of the research result, it is suggested that village officials improve their disaster management by, among others, conducting socialization on disaster risks, ways of lessening disaster occurrences, and ways of minimizing losses in case a disaster really occurs.

This study discusses causative construction in Acehnese language typologically. The problems studied were (1) the type of causative construction of the Aceh language typologically, (2) the relationship of the causative construction of Aceh language in typology, and (3) structures that establish the causative construction of Acehnese language. Research data, both oral and written, were obtained by speaking and listening methods. All data are examined by the identity and distributional methods. The results of the study showed that typologically the causative construction of Aceh language consists of morphological causative, lexical causative and analytic causative. Aceh language causative construction in this paper is investigated through parameters of semantics and formal. This construction was produced by combination of clause and conjunction ‘kerna’ or ‘seubap’; using analytical causative verb ‘peugot’ and ‘geuyu’; morphological causative affixes ‘meu-‘, ‘peu-‘ and ‘seu-‘; and using certain lexical causative in which have causative meaning. The relationship of the causative construction of the Aceh language in a syntactic typology, namely causative morphology and lexical causative was included in the causative construction of monoclauses, whereas analytic causative was included in the causative construction of biclauses. Structurally, testing is done by pinning syntactic operations, hence causative analytic was formed by biclauses structures, while lexical and morphological causative was formed by monoclausal structures.
