This article is the result of research on social Media based on the results of the development of internet technology as a new media (newmedia)that has implications in it to give a positive influence andnegatif on human life. The method used is qualitative descriptive whose data is taken through observation at SMAN 1 Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta school. The results of this study show that social media makes it easier for a person to interact and communicate.  Socialcare can also have a big impact on teenagers. Kaum teenagers who are also the most users on social media are very vulnerable and can be victims or perpetrators of cyber   crime, namely privacy  violations.   Remaja as the next generation of the nation must be wise in using social media. Remaja must quickly take langkah by frequently following socialization containing information about actions against cyber crime.Artikel ini adalah hasil penelitian tentang media sosial berbasis dari hasil perkembangan teknologi internet sebagai media baru (new media) yang menimbulkan implikasi didalamnya memberikan pengaruh positif dan negatif pada kehidupan manusia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang datanya diambil melalui observasi di sekolah SMAN 1 Pleret Bantul Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media sosial memudahkan seseorang dalam berinteraksi dan berkomunikasi. Media sosial juga bisa memberikan dampak yang besar bagi remaja. Kaum remaja yang juga sebagai pengguna terbanyak di media sosial sangat rentan dan bisa menjadi korban ataupun pelaku dari cyber crime yaitu pelanggaran privasi atau privacy violation. Remaja sebagai generasi penerus bangsa harus dengan bijak dalam menggunakan media sosial. Remaja harus sigap mengambil langkah dengan sering mengikuti sosialisasi yang berisi informasi perihal tindakan melawan cyber crime.

Along with the development of science and technology, human life is growing dynamically, especially in the field of information and communication. The Cyber Era has produced internet technology and brought a new phenomenon in the area of mass media which also creates new media that is commonly called social media or social networking. Social media is like a two-edged knife. If used wisely, selectively and responsibly, various social networking sites can be useful, but if used irresponsibly, social media can have unfavorable consequences, and even cause legal problems.

The nature of humans in their lives is to carry out communication activities. An individual can be said to communicate with other people if both have an understanding of the meaning of the message conveyed in their interactions. The progress of information communication technology provides an opportunity for individuals to interact more easily through the internet. In 2017, the number of internet users in Indonesia was recorded at 143.26 million, or 54.68 percent of Indonesia's total population. This number increased compared to the previous year, namely in 2016 which was recorded at 132.7 million. Of the numbers recorded, 130 million of them are active on social media in term of New Media Communication, or noted as information technology-based communication, makes social media as primary chosen for individuals interacting socially in cyberspace. This study aims to analyze how the personal branding forming in social media instagram refer to eight laws of personal branding such as: specialization, leadership, personality, distinctiveness, visibility, unity, persistence and goodwill. The best personal branding must be meets on these eight laws. The type of research conduct as qualitative descriptive, which the method is case study. The data used are primary data from interviews with selected informants and secondary data: documents in the form of photos and texts of digital natives on their Instagram. The data were analyzed by data reduction, data display by arranging it according to the pattern and then verification that is drawing the conclusion to answer the research question. Refer to the results of the study, the conclusion is personal branding of digital natives on Social Media Instagram need to be manage to meet all eight laws of personal branding.Keywords: Communication, Digital Natives, New Media, Social Media

Web 2.0 is an internet technology that facilitates collaboration on the World Wide Web (WWW). As a direct product of people's freedom of expression, Web 2.0 technology has given birth to a new media – the Social Media that is redefining the way people collaborate and express themselves. By studying surveys in three specific aspects of its impact – social service, politics and as a vehicle of misinformation and through content analysis of some online comments, the author argues that social media is capable of transmitting both good and bad information. In the article, an illustration of how misinformation through video seemingly travels, is also presented.

The background of this research is communication, new media, PR and PR Crisis. Fourth of this background has a close relationship, starting from communication, human in everyday life would require communication to receive and convey information, human can not be released from human life. The advancement of the times and the development of technology, causing people to communicate easily and the development of this era caused a new challenge for the PR and PR Crisis of a company, they should be able to maintain a positive image of the company in the minds of people. In this study using descriptive qualitative methodology, it contains many writings and drawings compared to the numbers. The purpose of this research is to know the strategy used by Pizza Hut in dealing with the issue of expired food. Penelitin results, social media is very positive impact on Pizza Hut in the recovery of food issues expired. The strategy used by the Pizza Hut Crisis PR is to utilize social media. Visible from the issue of expired food that disappeared in public and Pizza Hut restaurant until now crowded visited.Latar belakang dari penelitian ini yaitu komunikasi, media baru, PR dan PR Krisis. Keempat dari latar belakang ini mempunyai hubungan yang erat, dimulai dari komunikasi, manusia di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tentunya memerlukan komunikasi untuk menerima dan menyampaikan informasi, manusia tidak bisa dilepaskan dari kehidupan manusia. Majunya perkembangan zaman dan perkembangan teknologi, menyebabkan manusia melakukan komunikasi dengan mudah dan perkembangan zaman ini menyebabkan adanya tantangan baru bagi para PR dan PR Krisis sebuah perusahaan, mereka harus bisa mempertahankan citra positif perusahaan di benak masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deksriptif, memuat banyak tulisan dan gambar dibandingkan angka-angka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan oleh Pizza Hut dalam menangani isu makanan kedaluwarsa. Hasil penelitin,media sosial sangat membawa dampak positif bagi Pizza Hut dalam pemulihan isu makanan kedaluwarsa. Strategi yang digunakan oleh PR Krisis Pizza Hut adalah dengan memanfaatkan media sosial. Terrlihat dari isu makanan kedaluwarsa yang menghilang di public dan restoran Pizza Hut sampai saat ini ramai dikunjungi.

The development of technology that has brought big changes in human life, one of which is the presence of new media that makes it easier for humans to carry out communication activities. New media has a positive impact if it wisely chooses information, news and impressions as needed. Instagram social media includes new media, which is a platform for sharing photos, videos as well as a means of building relationships between people. However, the lack of control and strict sanctions by Instagram and the government have made some users free to upload pornographic content. The @pompa.kaka account includes Instagram users who are suspected of containing a lot of pornographic content. This study aims to determine and measure how much content contains pornographic elements on the Instagram account @pompa.kaka. This study uses a quantitative approach with content analysis methods. Analysis by coding on 340 samples by coder 1 and coder 2. Coding is carried out based on 7 categories of pornography according to Law No.44 of 2008. After the coding process between coders is complete, then a reliability test is carried out to prove the validity of the data and measuring instruments. reliable. The results of this study indicate that 97% of the content uploaded to the @pompa.kaka account contains pornographic elements.Perkembangan teknologi yang membawa perubahan besar dalam kehidupan manusia, salah satunya adalah kehadiran media baru yang memudahkan manusia dalam melakukan aktivitas komunikasi. Media baru membawa dampak positif apabila digunakan secara bijak dengan memilih informasi, berita serta tayangan sesuai kebutuhan. Media sosial instagram termasuk media baru, yang menjadi platform untuk berbagi foto, video sekaligus sarana membangun hubungan antar manusia. Namun kurangnya kontrol serta sanksi tegas oleh pihak instagram dan juga pemerintah membuat beberapa pengguna bebas mengunggah konten pornografi. Akun @pompa.kaka termasuk pengguna Instagram yang diduga banyak memuat konten mengandung unsur pornografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui serta mengukur berapa banyak konten yang mengandung unsur pornografi pada akun instagram @pompa.kaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Analisa dengan melakukan coding pada 340 sampel oleh coder 1 dan coder 2. Coding dilakukan berdasarkan pada tujuh kategori pornografi sesuai Undang-undang No.44 tahun 2008. Setelah proses coding antar coder selesai, kemudian dilakukan uji reliabilitas untuk membuktikan keabsahan data serta alat ukur yang reliabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 97% konten yang diunggah pada akun @pompa.kaka mengandung unsur pornografi.

Instagram is one of the social media that is widely used by Indonesians. Instagram users in Indonesia are under Instagram users from the United States, Brazil and China. The emergence of social media Instagram is a new and interesting dynamic to research based on Vincent Mosco's descriptive study of the political economy of the economy. One way to see and analyze an issue or phenomenon of communication is through the descriptive study of Vincent Mosco's political economy and economy. In theory, Mosco refers to the globalization of the political economy of media which explains where there is a transition from old media and when new media emerge. Thus the formulation of the problem of this research is how the political economy practice of communication in the use of Instagram social media during the Covid-19 pandemic which was observed from Anies Baswedan's Instagram account. This study uses a descriptive research method in order to provide an overview description of the political economy practice of communication on Instagram social media during the Covid-19 pandemic which was observed from the Instagram account of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. It can be concluded that social media is a means based on internet technology (online media) such as Instagram which allows a person to interact, communicate, collaborate and share information with others. Even Instagram users can easily participate directly in it. Commodification, spatialization and structuration are three important elements in political economy because they can bring about changes in function or use values. Commodification is one of the elements that is directly related to how the process of transforming goods or services (along with their use value) into a commodity that has an exchange value in the market. Spatialization is a process when dealing with time and space. Structuring is a communication or media activity associated with social structures.

The development of internet technology itself has had an influence on the existence of media, including the emergence of online media. Because online media allows for faster dissemination of information but sacrifices the basic principles of journalism, one of which is the accuracy of news. The Line Today feature as a product of internet development is an online news portal that positions itself as a content aggregator, namely a method of compiling news by publishing a number of news from other media. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out about the content aggregator in online news on the online news portal Line Today. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, data collection techniques using observation. By using the approach of medium theory, new media, and content aggregator, the results of this study indicate that the shift of conventional mass media to digital is part of the development of new media. It is also known that in online media, there is an important role for content aggregators as part of online news portals. In addition, as an online news portal that positions itself as a content aggregator, Line Today collects and selects news from online media that have collaborated to be republished.

This article describes the reality of freedom of preaching on social media. The research approach used in this study is qualitative descriptive with a critical paradigm. There are two focus of the study approach used, namely; 1) participatory culture approach, to know the characteristics of the Youtube da'wah channel, 2) a new media impact analysis approach, to analyze the problem of da'i and mad'u millennial in the context of da'wah activities on the Youtube channel. The results of this study indicate that da'wah activities on the da'wah Youtube channel consist of 4 (four) types, namely: 1) Youtube channels affiliated with community organizations; 2) Youtube channels that are managed independently by da'i; 3) youtube channel managed by da'wah community; 4) Youtube channels managed by Vloggers or other Youtuber. Also, there are threats behind the freedom to preach on social media, including; easy spread of provocative preaching messages, slander, hoax, and veiled radical understanding. The solution to the threat is; 1) the corrective approach of the da'i through Youtube channels; 2) the participation of da'i affiliates to oversee da'wah content that is inappropriate and contrary to humanist, moderate and transformative da'wah.

Abstract Internet technology and smartphones are increasingly rapidly followed by the rise of social media users, especially instant messaging that can be accessed using a smartphone, especially Android. One of the problems of social media is cyber crime that utilizes social media. Based on data from Instant Checkmate in 2014, 30,000 websites were hacked, and 12 casualties fell within a fraction of the crime from fraud to sex crimes, and it occurs in cyber crime involving social media, including instant media WhatsApp messenger. So it takes the forensic digital process to look for evidence of the crime, because basically there is no crime that does not leave a trace. This study was conducted to find the forensic evidence on the WhatsApp messenger application accessed on Android smartphones. WhatsApp messenger was chosen because it used to reach 1.5 billion users from over 2.7 billion users of social media worldwide. In this study, the simulation method used in the study to run 15 scenarios, including the return of the deleted files, the search for forensic evidence such as name and account number, a list of names and contact numbers, group chat, and text messages, pictures, video, and document files on personal chat, then text messages, pictures, videos, document files, voice notes, and location in group chat. The results of this study indicate that almost all forensic evidence traces in the WhatsApp messenger application are found, but the URL media can not be opened because it is encrypted by WhatsApp. Keyword: Digital Forensic, Forensic Evidence, Smartphone, WhatsApp Messenger.  Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi internet dan smartphone yang semakin pesat diikuti pula oleh meningkatnya pengguna media social pada instant messager yang diakses menggunakan smartphone khususnya Android. salah satu permasalahan yang tidak luput dari media sosial adalah tindak kejahatan dunia maya yang memanfaatkan media sosial. Berdasarkan data dari Instant Checkmate pada tahun 2014 sebanyak 30.000 website diretas, dan 12 korban perdetik berjatuhan dari berbagai aspek kejahatan dari penipuan hingga kejahatan seks, dan hal tersebut terjadi dalam praktek kejahatan internet (cyber crime) melibatkan media sosial, termasuk media instant messanger WhatsApp. Sehingga diperlukannya proses digital forensik untuk mencari bukti-bukti kejahatan tersebut, karena pada dasarnya tidak ada kejahatan yang tidak meninggalkan jejak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan bukti-bukti forensik tersebut pada aplikasi WhatsApp messanger yang diakses pada smartphone Android. WhatsApp messanger dipilih karena digunakan mencapai 1,5 tiliyun user dari lebih dari 2,7 triliyun pengguna media sosial seluruh dunia. Pada penelitian ini, metode simulasi digunakan dalam penelitian dengan menjalankan 15 skenario, diantaranya adalah pengembalian file yang dihapus, pencarian bukti forensik berupa nama dan nomor akun, daftar nama dan nomor kontak, group chat, kemudian pesan teks, gambar, video, dan file dokumen pada personal chat, kemudian pesan teks,  gambar, video, file dokumen, voice note, dan location pada group chat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hampir semua jejak bukti forensik pada aplikasi WhatsApp messanger berhasil ditemukan, namun media URL tidak dapat dibuka karena terenkripsi oleh WhatsApp.Keyword: Bukti Forensik, Digital Forensik, Smartphone, WhatsApp Messanger.
