Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkapkan irisan penting tradisi Bahtstal-Masail NU dalam pemikiran fikih adil gender oleh Husein Muhammad. Paper ini menemukan 3 poin besar dalam (1) dinamika metodologi istinbath hukum dalam tradisi Bahtstal-Masail NU memiliki tantangan zaman modern; (2) Bahtstal-Masail NU dengan metode taqlidul manhaji dan Bahsul Masail Diniyyah mauduiyyah memiliki metode baru dalam langkah akademis; (3) pengaruh pemikiran Husein Muhamad berlatarbelakang dari pola asuh dalam keluarga Kyai NU, pendidikan pesantren, aktivitas Politik serta Masyarakat, pengalaman kajian- P3M, dan Bahts al-Masail dari sosok Abdurahman Wahid. Paper ini membuktikan tentang tradisi Bahts al-Masail NU menjadi bagian penting dalam pemikiran fikih adil gender Husein Muhammad terutama setelah Munas Lampung tahun 1992.[The article aims to reveal an essential part of the NU’s Bahtstal-Masail lesson in fiqh gender by Husein Muhammad. The paper finds three significant points in (1) the issue of the istinbath methodology in the bahstal-Masail process in NU tradition, in which has modern challenges; (2) the taqlidul manhaji method and Bahsul Masail Diniyyah mauduiyyah in NU Bahtstal-Masail have a new method in academic steps; (3) the thoughts Husein Muhamad’s idea takes from the background of parenting in the NU Kyai family, Islamic boarding school education, Political and Community activities, P3M-study experience, and Bahts al-Masail from the figure of Abdurahman Wahid. The paper proves that the NU Bahts al-Masail lesson tradition is an essential part of Husein Muhammad’s gender Issue for knowledge of fiqh for equal humanity. Pesantren, the Islamic boarding school, is the oldest Islamic education in Indonesia and is constantly undergoing changes from time to time. This research uses the qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the application of the heutagogy method in the growth of pesantren education. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Luqmaniyyah salaf Boarding School has already applied the heutagogy learning method, it means that pesantren education precedes the Westerners in terms of its utilization. Through the study and discussion of Kitab Kuning (yellow-colored textbooks about Islamic knowledge), students determine their systems, study materials, and problems to find a solution. Sources of learning for students are not only limited by the Kitab Kuning, but students can also have access through the internet, online books and applications with trusted sources. PSDS is responsible for managing the talents and interests of the santri (a term used in Pesantren to call an apprentice), as well as training santri skills by making films, recording, creativity, writing, making advertisements, making interesting contents on social media. LP2M Al-Luqmaniyyah with its various divisions is required to channel and facilitate what the community needs from the students as they can also learn from the community it self. Kitab kuning merupakan faktor penting yang menjadi karakteristik Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes). Artikel ini membahas pembelajaran Kitab Kuning di Pondok Khusus Ponpes Al-Halimy Sesela. Pembahasan difokuskan pada metode dan penerapannya dalam pembelajaran, serta teknik penilaian setelah pelakasanaan pembelajaran berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Khusus Al-Halimy Sesela menerapkan beberapa metode yang lazimnya digunakan di pondok-pondok Salaf, menggunakan metode klasik, yaitu metode sorogan, bandongan, wetonan, halaqoh, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan tanya jawab. Penerapan metode-metode dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning didasarkan kesesuaian metode yang akan digunakan dengan mata pelajaran yang akan diajarkan. Keberhasilan suatu metode yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran kitab kuning di Pondok Khusus Al-Halimy Sesela diukur dengan menggunakan beberapa cara di antaranya adalah dengan menguji secara langsung. Hendaknya tradisi pesantren Salaf tetap dapat dipertahankan dan selanjutnya memasukkan tradisi pesantren khalaf yang lebih baik, pemilihan metode yang tepat guna supaya memberikan dampak positif bagi kemajuan pendidikan pesantren sehingga akan muncul lulusan-lulusan yang betul-betul tafaqquh fi al-din. Title: Learning of Kitab Kuning “Yellow Book” at Special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School In Sesela Village of West Lombok Regency Abstract: The yellow book is an important factor which becomes characteristic of Islamic Boarding Schools. The results of the preliminary research showed that the Special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela only studies classical books or yellow books which are not included in the governmental curriculum. The focuses of the study in this research included: First, it is related to the method used in yellow book learning; Second, it is related to how the application of learning methods is; Third, it is related to how the assessment after the implementation of yellow book learning takes place. The research design used descriptive qualitative. Then the results of the research showed that 1) special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela applies several methods commonly used in Salaf Islamic Boarding Schools which teach yellow books, such as sorogan (individual), wetonan (group), and discussion methods. In addition, the types of methods used still use classical methods, namely the sorogan, bandongan, wetonan, and halaqoh methods, and also there are discussion, demonstration and question and answer methods, 2). The application of methods in yellow book learning is based on the suitability of method to be used with the subjects to be taught. 3). To find out the success level of a method applied in the yellow book learning at special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela is by using several methods including testing directly. The final advice is given to the head of the Special Islamic Boarding School in order to maintain the tradition of the salaf Islamic Boarding School and incorporate the tradition of a better Khalaf Islamic Boarding School in order to give a positive impact on the progress of Islamic Boarding School education so that the graduates who truly understand the religion (tafaqquh fi al-din) will emerge and for  the teachers of special Al-Halimy Islamic Boarding School of Sesela, they have to be able to choose the right learning method and be able to see what the students need in joining the learning so that the learning objectives can be achieved.

the basic principles of Islamic boarding school education, namely; Al Muhafadhah ala al-qadim al shalih wa al akhdzu bi al jadid al ashlah. This principle has encouraged pesantren to maintain good old Islamic values without denying better changes. This paper intends to explore two sides of the coin for Pondok Persantren where one side is a distinct advantage for but can be a boomerang that hinders the progress of Islamic education based on understanding the basic elements and values of Islamic boarding schools and, then contributing thoughts in building a holistic Islamic boarding school education so that can follow the development of science without losing the obligation to maintain basic values. Holistic pesantren education can only be achieved if it is reaffirmed that the elements of the boarding school education system are not oriented towards learning religious knowledge but how kyai, teachers / ustaz and santri can learn to live in religion.

This study examines the urgency of Islamic boarding school education crisis management during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is library research with qualitative methods. Data were collected from library sources with a sociological approach. The theory used is crisis management. The findings of this study are: first, Islamic boarding school-based education is vulnerable to external disturbances, including the Covid-19 pandemic. Second, Islamic boarding school-based education in Indonesia has diverse resilience in overcoming the pandemic, therefore some are carried away by the government's political policies, while others are trying to survive. Third, the pros and cons of Islamic boarding school policies revolve around technical strategies to respond the pandemic situation as well as in responding government policies. Fourth, the urgency of crisis management for Islamic boarding school-based education. This research contributes efforts to improve management of boarding school-based education in Indonesia in general, and to structuring a better foundation for crisis management in Islamic boarding school education.

This article describes about the method of character education in pesantren. Character education in pesantren proved to be more effective than in schools or madrassas, because pesantren are able to develop students from various aspects, including intellectual ability, emotional and religious character formation, thus was born the output pesantren that have the knowledge and karimah morals or character. Success in shaping the character of boarding students because the student dormitory at boarding school education in guidance and supervision lodge chaplain, chaplain exemplary presence and authority as a religious leader in the school and the learning atmosphere at the school. In addition, the process of boarding school education place more emphasis on aqidah, worship and morals karimah with methods: exemplary, habituation, give advice, motivation, persuasion, story.

This study aims to determine the effect of boarding schooleducation on morals students of class XII Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3Tasikmalaya. Based on the results of data processing obtained theEffect of boarding school education is quite. It is based on the results ofresearch conducted to 34 respondents using a questionnaire, That is theinfluence of a high between of boarding school education on moralslearners in the school. Through hypothesis testing it is stated that thereis positive influence between two variables is accepted. Past resultscalculate the coefficient of determination is known that there isinfluence by 38%, rest influenced by other factors, which amounted to62%. Thus, it turns out that there are many factors that influence themorality of students.

<p>This article present of the result of research about <em>pondok pesantren</em> (Islamic religious boarding school) education in confronting radicalism, focusing in researching the efforts of Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syuhadah in confronting radicalism. Collecting qualitative data through observation, documentation, and purposively sampled interviews. The result shows that <em>pesantrens </em>have a significant role in overcoming radicalism through its management of education model and curricula. Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syuhadah with Salaf education model build teaching and education to create generation of <em>da’i</em> (Islamic missionaries) and teachers of Islamic religion, so the curriculum prioritizes politeness and away from radicalism.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Artikel ini mempresentasikan hasil penelitian tentang pendidikan pondok pesantren dalam menghadapi radikalisme, memfokuskan pada upaya yang dilakukan pesantren Salaf di Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syuhadah dalam menghadapi radikalisme. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara purposive sampeling. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pesantren memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam mengatasi radikalisme melalui pengelolaan model pendidikan dan kurikulumnya. Pondok Pesantren Darusy Syuhadah dengan model pendidikan Salaf membangun pengajaran dan pendidikan untuk menciptakan generasi da'i dan guru agama Islam, sehingga kurikulumnya mengutamakan kesantunan dan jauh dari radikalisme.</p><p> </p>

<p><em>This study is titled the method of planting social value in santri at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School RW 02, Sidorejo sub-district, Salatiga city in 2018. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with 45 research subjects as kyai and santri. Data was collected by observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the method of planting social values used was the Sorogan and Bandongan methods. The embedded social values include discipline, empathy, respect, caring, and tolerance. The implementation of the social values of santri in community activities is to become a TPA worker, a large study committee and mutual cooperation.</em></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><strong>  </strong><em>social values, santri, islamic boarding schools, community activities</em></p>

<em>Financing is one of the keys to implementing an education. One source of funding sourced from the government is the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program. The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe the distribution of BOS funds in the education of Islamic boarding schools in the Ministry of Religion Office in Malang Regency, (2) explain the supervision of BOS funding in Islamic boarding school education, (3) describe the implications of BOS funding in improving quality Islamic boarding school education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study research. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data is analyzed by reducing relevant data, describing and drawing conclusions. The results showed that, (1) the distribution of funding for BOS funds in the education of Islamic boarding schools in the Malang Ministry of Religion Office was carried out in accordance with the flow, (2) supervision of BOS funding in improving the quality of Islamic boarding school education was carried out according to the time of disbursement at the time of reporting of BOS funds, namely by direct and indirect supervision, (3) Implications of BOS funds in improving the education quality of Islamic boarding schools, namely: improving student achievement and learning outcomes and increasing teacher welfare.</em>

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan kajian teorits tentang pendidikan pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Indonesia yang sudah memberikan banyak kontribusi dalam perubahan sosial kehidupan bangsa melalui penanaman nilai-nilai religius, yang dalam hal ini relevan dengan tujuan pendidikan Nasional, yakni berbudi luhur, amal shalih, kegiatan keagamaan sehari-hari, kemandirian, kesehatan rohani dan tanggung jawab kemasyrakatan. Hal tersebut menjadikan pendidikan pesantren mampu mengendalikan perubahan nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan. Beberapa pendapat mengatakan bahwa terdapat lima komponen pesantren untuk dapat disebut sebagai pesantren, antara lain: ada kiai, pondok, masjid, santri serta pengkajian kitab klasik (gundul). Kelima komponen tersebut merupakan satu-kesatuan yang saling berkaitan dalam pendidikan pesantren. Dalam penelitian ini fokus pada proses pendidikan pesantren dalam merubah dan menanmkan nilai-nilai kepada para santri.   Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Pesantren, Perubahan Nilai Religius   Abstract: This research is a theoretical study of Islamic boarding school education as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia that has contributed a lot in the social change of the nation's life through the cultivation of religious values, as contained in the national educational goals of nobility, good deeds, daily religious, independence, spiritual health and community responsibility. This makes the boarding school education able to control changes in values ​​in life. Some opinions say that there are five components of the boarding school to be called as boarding school, among others: there are teacher of Islam, cottage, mosques, strict adherent of Islam and yellow book teaching (classical). The five components are a unit that cannot be separated from boarding school education.
