In Islamic religious education, the Qur'an is a source that is used as the foundation of the Islamic religion. Therefore, the Qur'an has an urgent position in guiding and directing people in their daily lives. However, there is a large gap between the importance of reading the Qur'an with the ability to read the Qur'an in Muslim communities in Indonesia. . The Chancellor of the al-Qur'an Institute of Higher Education (PTIQ) Jakarta, Nazaruddin Umar assessed that people who are illiterate al-Qur'an are still high in Indonesia. therefore it is necessary to apply effective and innovative methods of learning the the al-Qur'an. The supporting factors for the application of the waqa method include: the material taught is not much different from the material that has usually been studied, the TPQ Al-Ikhlash assistants help researchers during the process of applying the "Wafa" method at TPQ Al-Ikhlash, the students are orderly and cooperative during the experimental activities. This is certainly very helpful in carrying out the activities of teaching the Koran with the "Wafa" method. While the inhibiting factors for the application of the "Wafa" method include: Santri in one class are 42 children. This is certainly too much because learning the Qur'an is ideally done in small classes. Learning time becomes insufficient because of the sufficient quantity of students.

Citizens often attempt to interact with government through online modes of communication such as email and social media. Using an audit study, we examine when and how American municipalities with populations of over 50,000 respond to online requests for information. We develop baselines for municipal responsiveness, including the average rate, time, and quality of responses, and examine whether these response attributes vary based on the mode of communication or the tone of the request. Overall, municipalities responded to 54% of email requests and 38% of Twitter requests. A majority of responses were received on the same business day. Responses are slightly faster on Twitter, but of higher quality on email. Governments are more likely to respond to frustrated constituents on email, but respond faster to frustrated queries on Twitter, though with lower quality responses. These findings contribute to our understanding of local government responsiveness and have significant implications for democratic accountability and resident compliance with and the effectiveness of local government policies. Furthermore, our scholarly understanding of local government communications with residents, and particularly the promise of social media as a tool of two-way communication, may be underdeveloped.

The demands on successfully teaching intervention skills in macro (community) environments are numerous and extend beyond the confines of any one academic discipline. In particular, when considering community, the compounding of the multiple factors of social economics, diversity, social policy, history and political agendas requires an integrative approach. This mixed-methods retrospective article analyses the use of service-learning in an advanced Master of Social Work community practice course. Special attention is given to the construction of academic and community experience that facilitates learning integration and understanding of the ways in which factors compound on community wellbeing. Specifically this project involved students in efforts constructed to address violence directed by and against inner-city youth in a mid-sized northeastern city in the United States that is beset with gang violence and has led its state in per capita murders for four of the past five years. Recommendations and lessons learned presented in this article are directed at exploring a construction of service-learning that could address integrative learning in community intervention courses. Keywords: Service-learning, teaching, macro practice, violence
