(Title: Improving The Capabilities Of Agency Through Media Kanji Game Online) Japanese has several types of letters namely hiragana, katakana, kanji, and romaji. Each letter has its own uniqueness. For foreign learners, kanji is considered the most difficult. The results of interviews on the third semester students who followed the Kanji Shochukyu course showed that students often have difficulty in memorizing kanji, often forget the shape so that they are not able to write kanji correctly, and are often confused between read On and Kun. To overcome student difficulties in memorizing kanji, the author tries to use kanji media online game. The method used is experiment with experiment class and control class. The instrument used is postes. The result of the postes shows that the mean value of the experimental class is 82.5 while the control class is 70.1. Keywords: kanji; game online

Abstract Background and aims: Gestational diabetes represents a form of diabetes diagnosed during pregnancy that is not clearly overt diabetes. In the last trimester of gestation the growth of fetoplacental unit takes place, thus maternal hyperglycemia will determine an increased transplacental passage, hyperinsulinemia and fetal macrosomia. The aim of our study was that o analyzing the effect of maternal glycemia from the last trimester of pregnancy over fetal weight. Material and method: We run an observational study on a group of 46 pregnant women taken into evidence from the first trimester of pregnancy, separated in two groups according to blood glucose determined in the third trimester (before birth): group I normoglycemic and group II with hyperglycemia (>92mg/dl). Results: The mean value of third trimester glycemia for the entire group was of 87.13±22.03. The mean value of the glycemia determined in the third trimester of pregnancy was higher in the second group (109.17 mg/dl) in comparison to the first group (74.,21 mg/dl). The ROC curve for third trimester glycemia as fetal macrosomia appreciation test has an AUC of 0.517. Conclusions: Glycemia determined in the last trimester of pregnancy cannot be used alone as the predictive factor for fetal macrosomia.

Corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) has been administered into the third ventricle of sham-operated and ventromedial hypothalamic (VMH)-lesioned rats in acute and chronic experiments. After a single 5-microgram injection of CRF, there was an acute reduction of food intake in both sham-operated and VMH-lesioned rats that persisted for 3 h. The effect was still present in the VMH-lesioned rats between 3 and 6 h but had dissipated in the sham-operated controls. Guanosine 5'-diphosphate (GDP) binding to mitochondria from interscapular brown adipose tissue was used as an index of thermogenic activity in this tissue. In 21-h food-deprived rats, GDP binding was significantly lower in VMH-lesioned than in sham-operated animals. Although the mean increase in sham-operated animals was increased, this was not significantly different from saline-injected controls. In the VMH-lesioned rats, however, CRF acutely increased GDP binding to values not different than those of the sham-operated controls. Serum corticosterone was significantly lower in the VMH-lesioned rats, but both groups showed a significant stimulation by CRF during a 7-day infusion of CRF (4.8 micrograms/day) into the third ventricle. Food intake was significantly depressed in the VMH-lesioned animals that received CRF, from values of 35 g/day to approximately 25 g/day. Body weight showed a slow steady decrease, having fallen by nearly 15 g at the end of the 7-day infusion period. In contrast the mean value in the VMH-lesioned controls had significantly higher in CRF-infused animals.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)

The relation, first written by Kolmogorov, between the third-order moment of the longitudinal velocity increment δu1 and the second-order moment of δu1 is presented in a slightly more general form relating the mean value of the product δu1(δui)2, where (δui)2 is the sum of the square of the three velocity increments, to the secondorder moment of δui. In this form, the relation is similar to that derived by Yaglom for the mean value of the product δu1(δuθ)2 where (δuθ)2 is the square of the temperature increment. Both equations reduce to a ‘four-thirds’ relation for inertialrange separations and differ only through the appearance of the molecular Prandtl number for very small separations. These results are confirmed by experiments in a turbulent wake, albeit at relatively small values of the turbulence Reynolds number.

ABSTRACT Six rumen-fistulated, overnight-fasted, female British Saanen goats were used. In preliminary experiments on two of the goats, evidence was obtained that inflation of a balloon with water in the cranial sac of the rumen was accompanied by inhibition of GH release. In a definitive series of experiments on the other four goats (one goat on 1 day = one experiment), a total of 96 experiments were carried out, 48 of which were balloon inflations with 2·5 litres water at 37 °C in the cranial sac of the rumen for 40 min and 48 were control experiments on alternate days. It was found that the mean plasma GH concentration of the samples taken at the end of the 40-min inflation period was significantly (P < 0·05) lower than the mean value of the samples taken at the start of inflation. Mean control values at the start and finish of inflation were not significantly different. There were no significant differences between mean plasma insulin concentrations at the start and finish of inflation in experimental and control groups. It is concluded that distension of the cranial rumen in the goat is a signal which can inhibit the release of GH. J. Endocr. (1985) 104, 159–163

Background: Depression is one of the most common psychosocial problems in the elderly. The incidence of depression in the elderly is greater in the elderly living in the social service unit than the elderly in the community. Management of depression in the elderly should be more emphasized on interventions that focus on the individual needs of the biopsychosocial and spiritual aspects. Brain gym therapy and Benson relaxation are considered appropriate in decreasing depression. Objective: This study was to determine the effect of brain exercise and Benson relaxation on the level of depression in elderly in the elderly social service unit. Methods: This was a quasy experimental study with pretest posttest control group design. Fifty-six elderly included in this study, which 28 assigned in the experiment and control group. The depression level was assessed using Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test were used for data analyses. Results: The study showed that the mean GDS score in the experiment group before the intervention was 7.21, while the mean value of GDS in the control group was 6.64. The mean value of GDS in the experiment group after the intervention was 5.04 and the mean in control group was 6.18. There was a significant difference of GDS score between experiment and control group with p-value of 0.021 (<0.05).Conclusion: There was a significant effect of brain gymnastics and Benson relaxation therapy in reducing depression in elderly. brain gymnastic therapy and benson relaxation can be one of independent nursing interventions as an effort to improve care for elderly groups.

Background: There are few biomarkers that can be easily accessed in clinical settings and may reflect refractory Th2-eosinophlic inflammation and remodeling of the asthmatic airways. Serum periostin may be one such biomarker to aid our understanding of the patho-bio-physiology of asthma and exercise induced asthma. The aim of the study is to explore the relationship between serum periostin level and exercise induced bronchoconstriction in asthmatic children. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out on (90) children both sexes aged from 6 to 15 years including, (60) children with bronchial asthma and (30) children were enrolled as control group in the period from January 2018 to January 2019. Patients were randomly classified into two groups: I) Patient group: divided into 2 groups according to standardized treadmill exercise challenge test: Group A: (30) asthmatic children with positive test. Group B: (30) asthmatic children with negative test. II-Control group: (30) children apparently healthy with no personal or family history of asthma. All children were subjected to the following Investigations: Chest x-ray, pulmonary functions tests (FEV1 & PEFR) except controls, Laboratory investigations as CBC and Serum periostin level. Results: The mean values of both the percentage of PEFR and FEV1 after exercise in group A were significantly lower than those in group B and the percentage of PEFR and FEV1 after exercise in each group were significantly lower than the percentage before exercise in the same group. The mean value of eosinophilic count in group A was significantly higher than (group B and control group) and the mean value of eosinophilic count in group B was significantly higher than control group. The mean value of serum level of periostin in group A was significantly higher than (group B and control group), however, there was no significant difference between group B and control group as regard to serum level of periostin. Chest tightness, cough and wheezes after exercise and eosinophilic count in patients with high serum periostin level were significantly higher than patients with low serum periostin level, and both PEFR and FEV1 after exercise in patients with high serum periostin level were significantly lower than patients with low serum periostin level. Also the normal serum periostin levels vary among different age groups. Conclusion: Serum periostin level can be considered as a useful biomarker for diagnosis of Exercise induced bronchospasm (EIB) in asthmatic children especially when lung function test cannot be done However, cautious is required in evaluating serum periostin levels in children because it varies with age.

SUMMARYThe DNA contents of nuclei during gametogenesis and embryogenesis in Ascaris lumbricoides were measured by Feulgen-microspectrophoto-metry. The variability in the mean value for the haploid amount of DNA in sperm from different males processed at different times was not significant when sperm cell samples were taken from the same region of the seminal vesicle. As the sperm mature, the extent of uptake of Feulgen dye decreases nonsystematically. A similar phenomenon occurs during embryogenesis, and as noted by others, primary oocytes in the terminal portion of the oviduct become Feulgen-negative. Feulgen-positive primary oocytes maintain a 4C DNA value without significant variation. Notwithstanding the differences in Feulgen-DNA values in certain types of nuclei, our evidence supports the view that in Ascaris lumbricoides the amount of intraspecific DNA has a constant value between individual organisms and from one generation to the next. About 34% of the DNA of the zygote is lost through chromatin diminution at the third embryonic cleavage. This quantity represents 0·23 pg DNA per haploid equivalent.
