The main purpose of this analytical paper was to highlight the ideas and phenomena in Polish theatre with regard to their role in civic education, and to determine the original qualities and peculiarities of this area of education through the arts. To that end, Fernand Braudel’s the longue durée (long-term) perspective was adopted and a problematized approach to chronology was used as the principal research method, which allowed to present issues related to development and importance of this substantial trend in education through the arts, which due to its artistic and social importance surely deserves the most important place in the history of Polish theatre. What I construe as civic education theatre is theatrical realization (using a specific language) of a system of values promoting public-spiritedness (the raison d’être of any human community) which is cultivated and enhanced by a given society and which impacts the spiritual life of its members. The analyses performed have shown that this prominent trend in the Polish drama and theatre, prevailing every now and then, and willingly used until this day, abounds in specific values of enormous importance embedded in the history of the Polish culture and the Polish spirit, created by outstanding artists; it is a legacy having no equivalent in other countries. Over the centuries, it has served as the foundation of the nation’s spirituality, becoming the platform for civic political discourse, a symbol of the Polish cultural community, a means of transmitting historical tradition, a significant component of cultural identity, a substitute for social and political life, building self-knowledge and aspirations of a national community. Moreover, a concise review of historical traditions and peculiarities of civic values promoted by theatre in the Polish culture confirms the relationships between the arts and history of different nations, between Polish cultural tradition and our tragic history, between the nation’s identity and human independence in personal and social terms. The analyses are performed in the spirit of education interpreted as a totality of values promoting and protecting public-spiritedness; regarding the examined theatrical trend as the major tradition in the history of Polish theatre; fundamental belief in the national and social function of the Polish theatre; consequently, understanding contemporary theatre as the outcome of the cooperation between progress and tradition. In view of the ongoing globalization and unification processes, awareness of the uniqueness of the major trend in the history of the national theatre and irreplaceable values Polish society may contribute to the multi-cultural European community appears to be one of the major challenges faced by Polish culture and education.

From the middle of the 19th century, church periodicals in the form of the Omsk Diocesan Vedomosti occupy an important place in the sorial, socio-political life of the Russian provinces, plaring on their pages not only documents and addresses of church and offidal authorities (Holy Synod, Sovereign Emperor), sermons and instructions, reports of orthodox missions and committees, but also material of a journalists, local history, historical and ethnography nature and etc From this point of view, “The Omsk Diocesan Vedomosti ” with good reason can represent a full-fledged, original and versatile source of the history of church and parochial education in the Steppe Territory in the late 19th — early 20th centuries, which reflets on its pages both the general condition of parish schools, church literacy schools, and certain aspects of the functioning of the education system in the region under the patronage of the Russian Orthodox Church, such as: education as one of the tools of missionary activity, newly baptized Kyrgyz (Kazakhs) and the education system, missionary schools and their role in missionary work, boarding schools for children of immigrants baptized Kyrgyz (Kazakhs) and much more.

The article analyzes the activities of Polish societies with the status of civic organizations in their professional, cultural and educational activities. Public associations (associations, unions) operating in the Volyn region provide an opportunity to determine the level of development of the “third sector” in the region. Each society has its own structure and governing bodies, in its activity the statute of the partnership is used, carrying out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Public Associations”. Societies do not carry out commercial and political activities. The article highlights several Polish societies that operate in Volyn, among them: the Society of Polish Culture in Volyn named after Eva Felinskaya. Society of Polish Culture named after T. Kosciuszko. Society of Polish Culture of Gorohovshchyna named after Y. Slovatsky, Volyn Society of Polish Doctors, Volyn Branch of the Association of Polish Teachers, Society of Polish Artists "Barwy Kresowe", Polish Society of Polish Culture named after Michal Oginsky in Novovolynsk and the Society of Polish Teachers named after G. Zapolskaya. All these societies engage in scientific, educational and cultural activities aimed at the revival and development of the Polish language, literature and culture. It is concluded that the main goal of one or another organization is the national-cultural revival of the polonium, the popularization of the Polish language, and the satisfaction of the common interests of persons of Polish origin living in the Volyn region. Particularly important is the role of societies in establishing close personal contacts between Polish and Ukrainian communities. After all, the Polish minority in independent Ukraine, on the one hand, gradually revives its ethical and national traits, in particular, the native language of communication, visits to the church, develops popular culture and mentality, and on the other hand, it is increasingly integrated into Ukrainian society, joins the public-political life of the state, acts as an effective factor in the Ukrainian-Polish partnership.

Andrey Sheptytsky - Metropolitan of the Greek Catholic Church, belongs to the key figures of Ukrainian history of the first half of the twentieth century. Its influence on the spiritual and national-political life of Ukrainians of that time, the processes of crystallization of national consciousness, as well as on the sphere of practical politics, cannot be overestimated. A. Sheptytsky's life path is an object of constant attention of historians, but it would still be early to assert its full and comprehensive coverage. One of the debating issues in historiography remains the formation of national-political and religious views of the future Metropolitan. As you know, A. Sheptytsky was descended from the Polonized family, the process of his upbringing and education took place in the circle of Polish culture and national-state tradition. Already at adulthood, he made a conscious choice in favor of the Ukrainian Church and nation. The reasons and motives for this choice require a thorough study, taking into account the many factors that led it.

History of art is as old as human history. It is said that since the time when Manusya opened her eyes, from day to day he got involved in the task of new construction for his livelihood and this new creation trend has made his life exciting, happy and prosperous.To show this thrill, prosperity and prosperity, he (man) took the support of painting and made Ragas his companion to express it in the right form. He presented the darker colors and the lighter colors in front of those who saw them. Colors have a very important place in the life of any person. In modern surroundings, the arts have influenced human society in such a way that it feels incomplete without any kind of art, whether it is music, writing, photography or painting. In today's context, in some ways, arts help to influence and highlight the personality of a person. What kind of effects can be shown by the use of veins in illustration in my written paper written by painter Bikas Bhattacharya ji, who are counted among photographers and painters, how will they use colors will remain the subject.

This chapter discusses the African Americanization of “The Charge of the Light Brigade” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. It argues that what makes “The Light Brigade” an inspired choice for this kind of task is its history and historicity. There exists a history of placing Tennyson's poem in relation to African American culture, and this history is one in which this relationship has been variously construed and vigorously contested. As the chapter shows, from the moment it was published, “The Charge of the Light Brigade” was mobilized, especially though not exclusively by African Americans, as a site or tool to address certain issues. These include: the relationship of African Americans to the dominant cultural tradition; the nature and politics of interracial cultural rivalry, mimicry, and appropriation; and the role of poetry and the arts—and violence—in the fight for racial empowerment and equality.

This introduction surveys the rise of the history of emotions as a field and the role of the arts in such developments. Reflecting on the foundational role of the arts in the early emotion-oriented histories of Johan Huizinga and Jacob Burkhardt, as well as the concerns about methodological impressionism that have sometimes arisen in response to such studies, the introduction considers how intensive engagements with the arts can open up new insights into past emotions while still being historically and theoretically rigorous. Drawing on a wide range of emotionally charged art works from different times and places—including the novels of Carson McCullers and Harriet Beecher-Stowe, the private poetry of neo-Confucian Chinese civil servants, the photojournalism of twentieth-century war correspondents, and music from Igor Stravinsky to the Beatles—the introduction proposes five ways in which art in all its forms contributes to emotional life and consequently to emotional histories: first, by incubating deep emotional experiences that contribute to formations of identity; second, by acting as a place for the expression of private or deviant emotions; third, by functioning as a barometer of wider cultural and attitudinal change; fourth, by serving as an engine of momentous historical change; and fifth, by working as a tool for emotional connection across communities, both within specific time periods but also across them. The introduction finishes by outlining how the special issue's five articles and review section address each of these categories, while also illustrating new methodological possibilities for the field.
