Anthropolinguistics is one the most recent theoretical and practical perspectives developed within the science of linguistics. As such, it focus on the central question of the evolution of human thinking and its reflection in language. It is proposed that on the basis of evolutionary processes, it is possible to put forth a view according to which any further development of humanity depends on the presence and steady development of specialist lexicon. It secures the advancement of humanity in science, industry and culture.

General logical universal learning activities (analysis, synthesis, comparison, etc.) are traditionally considered as basic actions that underlie human thinking. It is generally accepted that already in elementary school, general logical cognitive actions are formed at a sufficient level to understand the diversity of their structure, forms of application in various situations. At the same time, it is assumed that their further development should occur automatically when mastering the content of subject training. However, this opinion is not confirmed either by educational practice or by the results of the final state certification. We also note that the elementary nature of general logical actions causes a tendency to describe them superficially in pedagogical studies devoted to the formation of logical ULA, which prevents the solution of this problem. The methodological basis of the research is the application of the basic components of the system-activity and competence-based approaches in the organization of teaching students of the pedagogical specialty. The general aim of the article was to develop a theoretical concept of training future teachers, aimed at forming a culture of translation of general logical ULA Results. The article proposes an approach to the formation of a culture of translation of general logical methods of cognitive activity among future mathematics teachers, based on the concept of funding the corresponding logical actions. In conclusion, the expediency of using this approach in teaching bachelors of pedagogical education in various specialties is noted.

Introduction. The need to establish causality covers a fairly wide range of different industries with different specifics and approaches. Therefore, it becomes necessary to apply various methods to solve the assigned tasks (in the context of causality), which is accompanied by the choice of a wide range of tools, depending on the task at hand. Purpose. The purpose of this work is a brief overview and analysis of modern methods, algorithms and technologies for detecting causation and the range of tasks in which the use of the appropriate tools takes place. Methods. Starting from the gold standards of causal identification and to more accurate, but limited by the range of conditions, algorithms, the current state, advantages and disadvantages of the use of tools are described. Result. The analysis of the current state of existing methods, algorithms and technologies for establishing causality is carried out, the prospects for further development and improvement of tools for causal detection are examined. Conclusions. At the moment there is a large list of known methods, algorithms and technologies, there is a number of problems in which there is a need for more accurate detection of causality. The paper shows that most of the tools for establishing causality give good results for acyclic structures, at the same time, they can give false positive conclusions for cyclic structures. Well-known world scientific institutions and leading corporations of computer technology are fruitfully engaged in the development and implementation of more and more perfect tools for establishing causality in order to develop automated software projects close to human thinking.

Digital assessment of mathematics is becoming widespread, but still comes with limitations and constraints. A central question is how to design digital tests that assess mathematical knowledge in a valid way. Based on literature on validity and on assessment with and through technology, we identify arguments for and opportunities of digital assessment of mathematics, as well as its main issues. Through three case descriptions, different ways to design digital tests are explored. As a conclusion, we make a plea for assessment environments which offer rich opportunities for students to “do” mathematics and for test designers to design rich items; automated scoring also needs further development, with respect to the scoring of intermediate steps in problem-solving strategies.

AbstractThis paper provides an analysis of Martin Buber’s not very well-known essay “Distance and Relation”, which is his most relevant contribution to philosophical anthropology. In the essay, which was published almost thirty years after the publication of his most famous book, I and Thou, Buber elaborated on the anthropological foundations of his cosmic vision of dialogical life. The central question is “How is man possible?” Buber’s answer is very important to the further development of his principle of dialogue in psychology (primarily his notion of confirmation) and philosophy of art, but it is not quite clear how compatible it is with some of his earlier theses from I and Thou. In particular, the relation between “distance” and the I-It relation is unclear. There are two seemingly contradictory statements: “In the beginning is the relation” and “The primal distance is a presupposition of the relation”. The aim of this paper is to examine these anthropological foundations and to elucidate this apparent contradiction.

Ceramics, such as Al2O3 and SiC have numerous current and potential uses in applications where high temperature strength, hardness, and wear resistance are required often in corrosive environments. These materials are, however, highly anisotropic and brittle, so that their mechanical behavior is often unpredictable. The further development of these materials will require a better understanding of the basic mechanisms controlling deformation, wear, and fracture. The purpose of this talk is to describe applications of TEM to the study of the deformation, wear, and fracture of Al2O3. Similar studies are currently being conducted on SiC and the techniques involved should be applicable to a wide range of hard, brittle materials.

The issue of strong flux pinning is crucial to the further development of high critical current density Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O (BSCCO) superconductors in conductor-like applications, yet the pinning mechanisms are still much debated. Anomalous peaks in the M-H (magnetization vs. magnetic field) loops are commonly observed in Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy (Bi-2212) single crystals. Oxygen vacancies may be effective flux pinning centers in BSCCO, as has been found in YBCO. However, it has also been proposed that basal-plane dislocation networks also act as effective pinning centers. Yang et al. proposed that the characteristic scale of the basal-plane dislocation networksmay strongly depend on oxygen content and the anomalous peak in the M-H loop at ˜20-30K may be due tothe flux pinning of decoupled two-dimensional pancake vortices by the dislocation networks. In light of this, we have performed an insitu observation on the dislocation networks precisely at the same region before and after annealing in air, vacuumand oxygen, in order to verify whether the dislocation networks change with varying oxygen content Inall cases, we have not found any noticeable changes in dislocation structure, regardless of the drastic changes in Tc and the anomalous magnetization. Therefore, it does not appear that the anomalous peak in the M-H loops is controlled by the basal-plane dislocation networks.

The burden of caregivers has been intensively researched for the past 30 years and has resulted in a multitude of individual findings. This review illustrates the significance of the hypothetical construct of perceived burden for the further development and design of the homecare situation. Following explanations regarding the term informal caregiver, we derive the construct burden from its conceptual association with the transactional stress model of Lazarus and Folkman. Once the extent and characteristics of burden have been set forth, we then present the impact of perceived burden as the care situation. The question of predictors of burden will lead into the last section from which implications can be derived for homecare and relief of caregivers.

This article introduces Cognitive Health Counseling 40+ (CH.CO40+), an individualized intervention that is conceptually based on the orchestration model of quality-of-life management ( Martin & Kliegel, 2010 ) and aims at improving satisfaction with cognitive health in adults aged 40 years and older. We describe the theoretically deduced characteristics of CH.CO40+, its target group, its multifactorial nature, its individualization, the application of subjective and objective measures, the role of participants as agents of change, and the rationale for choosing participants’ satisfaction with their cognitive health as main outcome variable. A pilot phase with 15 middle-aged and six older adults suggests that CH.CO40+ attracts, and may be particularly suitable for, subjective memory complainers. Implications of the pilot data for the further development of the intervention are discussed.
