Abstract This article studies the impact of the social position on the health trajectories of children who follow a therapy for overweight or obesity management. Based on a qualitative study conducted within a Swiss hospital with 29 families, the author explains how the social position influences children’s relationship to health norms. The study results show that children belonging to wealthy families internalize more easily the therapeutic prescriptions in their everyday lives than the children from underprivileged families.

Subject. This article discusses the role of social infrastructure in the national economy and analyzes the relationship between the notions of Infrastructure, Service Industry and Non-Productive Sphere. Objectives. The article aims to outline a methodology for development of the social infrastructure of Russia's regions. Methods. For the study, we used the methods of statistical and comparative analyses. The Republic of Crimea and Rostov Oblast's social infrastructure development was considered as a case study. Results. The article finds that the level of social infrastructure is determined by a number of internal and external factors. By analyzing and assessing such factors, it is possible to develop promising areas for the social sphere advancement. Conclusions. Assessment and analysis of internal factors largely determined by the region's characteristics, as well as a comprehensive consideration of the impact of external factors will help ensure the competitiveness of the region's economy.

Although sport is widely utilised as a tool for personal development, capacity building, and fostering peace, there are still numerous theoretical gaps in our knowledge about how sport influences individuals’ identities, and how this translates into their everyday lives. Within the academic literature there has been seemingly little focus placed upon participants’ emotional and embodied accounts of their sport-for-development (SfD) experiences. This paper uses phenomenologically-inspired theory to explore individuals’ lived experiences of a SfD course, and their descriptions of the social interactions and feelings of confidence they encountered, in order to address this lack of experiential data. An ethnographic methodology was used to collect data through four sports leadership course observations, and cyclical interviews over 4–10 months with eleven course attendees, plus individual interviews with five tutors. Participants’ understandings of their course experiences and the subsequent influence these understandings had on their lives were described through their use of the term confidence. A further phenomenological and sociological interrogation of this term enabled confidence to be seen as being experienced as a ‘frame’ and ‘through the body’ by participants. This study provides original conceptualisations of confidence in relation to participants’ SfD experiences, as well as important discussions regarding the role of emotions and embodiment in understanding the impact of SfD on participants’ everyday lives.

The purpose of this study was to investigate effectiveness of female administration in the Administrative Empowerment at Hail University branches and its impediments, from the point of view of the faculty members. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach. The questionnaire was the tool of study and the study sample consisted of (53) of female faculty members at Hail University branches during the first semester 2018- 2019. The results of this study found that the overall degree of administrative empowerment was obtained at a general average (3.93) i.e. high degree and at the dimensional level. Indeed, the work team term was in the first rank with an average of 4.09, and then it comes the delegation of authority with an average of (3.89). The communication term comes at the third level with an average of (3.88) and in the last rank, it comes the motivation of the staff with an average of (3.86) and all of them with a rating of (high). As regard the obstacles in the women administration, the administrative impediments obtained the first rank with an average of (3.87) followed by the personal constraints with an average of (3.76), and then the political impediments with an average of (3.47), and finally the social obstacles with an average of (2.61). For instance, the study showed that there were no significant differences due to the impact of experience years and the impact of scientific qualification. There were some recommendations according to the study results, which were to increase the effectiveness of faculty members and remove obstacles facing them.

IntroductionA person-centred approach, to know about a person’s individual weaknesses and strengths, is warranted in today’s healthcare in Sweden. When a person suffers from obesity, there are not only risks for comorbidities but also increased risk for decreased health-related quality of life (HRQoL). After bariatric surgery, there are also risks for complications; however, healthcare service expects the person to have sufficient ability to handle recovery after surgery. The need is to investigate how a person’s self-efficacy and health literacy(HL) skills are important to determine their effect on recovery as well as HRQoL after bariatric surgery. It can, involve the person in the care, improve shared decision-making, and perhaps decrease complications and readmissions.Method and analysisThis is a prospective, longitudinal mixed-methods study with the intent of including 700 patients from three bariatric centres in Sweden (phase 1); 20 patients will be included in a qualitative study (phase 2). Inclusion criteria will be age >17 years, scheduled primary bariatric surgery and ability to read and understand the Swedish language in speech and in writing. Inclusion criteria for the qualitative study will be patients who reported a low self-efficacy, with a selection to ensure maximum variation regarding age and gender. Before bariatric surgery patients will answer a questionnaire including 20 items. Valid and reliable instruments will be used to investigate general self-efficacy (10 items) and functional and communicative and critical HL (10 items). This data collection will then be merged with data from the Scandinavian Obesity Surgery Registry. Analysis will be performed 30 days, 1 year and 2 years after bariatric surgery. One year after bariatric surgery the qualitative study will be performed. The main outcomes are the impact of a person’s self-efficacy and HL on recovery after bariatric surgery.Ethics and disseminationThe study has received approval from the ethical review board in Uppsala, Sweden (number 2018/256). The study results will be disseminated through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations to the scientific community and social media.

IntroductionPeople with schizophrenia exhibit deficits in neurocognitive and social cognitive (SC) processes which limit their social reintegration. SC was found to mediate in part the impact of neurocognitive dysfunctions on real-life functioning.ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to implement a new intervention for patients with schizophrenia, the Social Cognition Individualized Activities Lab (So.C.I.A.L.) which trains both social cognition and neurocognitive functions.AimsTo determine the efficacy of the So.C.I.A.L in improving SC by a comparison with a validated cognitive remediation (CR) intervention: the Social Skills And Neurocognitive Individualized Training (SSANIT).MethodsNine stabilized patients accepted to participate in this pilot study. Five were randomized to So.C.I.A.L. and 4 to SSANIT. The two programs were matched for the overall treatment duration (20 weeks), as well as frequency and duration of the sessions. Both interventions included individual sessions of neurocognitive individualized training; So.C.I.A.L included group sessions on Emotion Recognition and Theory of Mind, while SSANIT group sessions of Social Skills Individualized Training.ResultsNo group difference was found for changes in neurocognition, while a significant group effect was observed for changes in SC, due to improvement only in the So.C.I.A.L. group.ConclusionsThe study results showed a specific effect of the So.C.I.A.L. on SC, beyond the effect on neurocognition. ABSTRACTObjectives: to describe, in the perception of nurses, the impact of a Nutritional Support training on the job and Identify the correlations between support organizational support to the transfer and characteristics of customers with the impact of training in the work of nurses. Method: it’s a nature quantitative research, a cross-sectional, correlacional and descriptive study. The data was collected by means a questionnaire asked to 114 nursing professionals. The data was stored and analyzed using the program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, being carried out analyses descriptive and relevant to study. Results: more than 50% of trainees agreed have a positive impact of training support nutrition at work. The impact of training in nutritional therapy of nursing was significantly correlated with the support organizational (r=0,64, p=0,00). Conclusion: the higher the support of the Organization to training, the higher the positive impact on the work of trainees. O Impacto do treinamento em terapia nutricional no trabalho da equipe de enfermagem esteve significativamente correlacionado com o Suporte Organizacional (r=0,64, p=0,00). Conclusão: conclui-se que, quanto maior o Suporte de Transferência e o Suporte Organizacional maior foi o Impacto do treinamento no trabalho. Los datos fueron almacenados y analizados utilizando el programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, y se lleva a cabo el análisis descriptivo e inferencial de interés para el estudio. Resultados: más del 50% de los alunos de acuerdo a tener un impacto positivo de apoyo nutricional de formación en el trabajo. El impacto de la formación en la terapia nutricional en el trabajo del personal de enfermería fue significativamente correlacionado con el apoyo organizativo (r=0,64, p=0,00). Conclusión: en conclusión, cuanto mayor sea el apoyo a la transferencia y el apoyo organizativo fue el mayor impacto de la formación en el trabajo. This study aimed to investigate the impact of an educational program based on brain-based learning in improving the creative thinking and academic achievement in the social studies and civics education among the third basic grade students in Jordan. The researcher adopted the semi-experimental method, and the study sample consisted of 50 third grade students of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab basic public school for Boys. The sample was purposive sample and then was assigned randomly into two the experimental and control groups. The experimental group which was provided the developed study unit consisted of 25 students, and similarly, the control group, which was presented the regular method. The study results showed statistically significant differences (=.05) in creative thinking skills: fluency, flexibility and authenticity, as well as academic achievement in the social studies and civic education among the third-graders in favor of the experimental group. The difference may be attributed to the brain-based education program.

Balinese Local Heroes should be role models for all children around Bali. The spirit of the heroes is full of positive characters. Those characters are essential in building a good personality in every single kid. This study aims to analyze Balinese local heroes' effect into puppets show on Youtube as ELT media for building students' character. The research was designed as a qualitative study. The data taken from the observed interaction at the puppets showed on YouTube that students watched. The obtained data were students' and parent's data interviews and questionnaires. The study results showed that Balinese Local Heroes' spirit transformed into puppet shows on YouTube affected students accurately because the media was engaging. Some character values were affected, willingness to sacrifice, bravery, defense of truth and justice, noble, responsible, and patriotic. The social function of all of the values was essential. The values transformed into a positive attitude in social life. The student became a good helper to the people who need help. They clean the environment without any intention and have a responsibility to do their duty as a student.

Home care nurses have become the main references in home care for vulnerable patients. In patients’ homes they offer comprehensive and continuous care to both the vulnerable population and their families. The aim of this qualitative study was to explore experiences and perspectives of home care nurses regarding the care of vulnerable patients in Spain. We conducted in-depth semi-structured interviews with 15 home care nurses working with a vulnerable population. From a data analysis, two themes and four subthemes emerged: (1) “barriers to providing home care to vulnerable populations”, with the following subthemes: “the particularities of the patient and their home caregivers” and “perceived barriers for the involvement of home care nurses in the care”; and (2) “the emotional cost of home care” with the subthemes “home care is draining for caregivers” and “the impact of home care on the home care nurses”. These findings show us that nurses face a number of difficulties in home care for vulnerable patients. The training of nurses in certain competencies and skills by the social health services would enhance the quality of care offered to these patients.
