This study examines the problem of legislative oversight in Nigeria using Delta State as a case study. Four research questions were raised to guide the study and four null hypotheses were formulated for the study. The design of the study was a descriptive survey. The population of the study comprised 600 staff in the Delta State House of Assembly. The sample of the study consisted of 245 staff drawn from nine (9) departments using stratified and simple random techniques. The instrument used for data collection was the legislative oversight questionnaire and the collated data were analyzed using mean rating and chi-square. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between politics of trade-off and pay-off between the legislators and the executive as well as poor commitment to oversight functions by the legislators and legislative oversight in Delta State. The study equally showed that there is a significant relationship between the culture of corruption as well as perceptual legislative subservience to the executive and legislative oversight in Delta State. The study recommended that that the legislature in Nigeria, particularly in Delta State, should be truly independent rather than operate and seen as a subservient extension of the executive arm of government, a new culture that is void of the politics of trade-off and pay-off between the legislature and the executive, as well as corruption, should be established.

The study examined the problem of disaster management in Nigeria using Bayelsa State as a case study. Four null hypotheses were raised and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. The study adopted the descriptive survey design and sample sizes of 300 adults were drawn from fifteen (15) affected communities in Bayelsa State. The instrument used for data collection was a disaster management questionnaire and the data were analyzed using chi-square. The finding of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between poor integrated policy and action plan as well as weak institutional capacity and collaboration of disaster management agencies and effectiveness of disaster management in Bayelsa State. The study clearly showed that there is a significant relationship between poor commitment and piece-meal approach by the multi-layered levels of government as well as poor stakeholders’ participation and synergy and effectiveness of disaster management in Bayelsa State. The study recommended among others that long-term monitoring and surveillance mechanism; continuous provision of infrastructure for the host communities by prospecting oil companies; adequate funding by governmental and non-governmental and the development of a national oil spill contingency plan should be adopted and deployed with an eye to guaranteeing sustainable development of the environment in the region.

Objectives: This study aims to know the effect of change in culture and technology on efficiency in Dairy Factory - Sudan, 2019-2020 and to know the views of managers on the impact of change management on efficiency, to identify the positive aspects that help in improving this efficiency as well as to identify the negatives Which limit the company's efficiency in this field, by answering the following research questions: - Is there an impact of changing culture and technology on increasing the efficiency of institutions? To answer these questions on which the problem is centered around, the following scientific hypotheses were put forward: - There is a statistically significant relationship between changing the organization's culture and increasing the efficiency of organizations, as well as the existence of a statistically significant relationship between changing technology in the organization and increasing the efficiency of organizations. Methods: The descriptive and analytical approach was used to describe the phenomenon under study, and the questionnaire was used to collect various data. The questionnaire was distributed to the sample members who numbered (55) employees to conduct the statistical analysis for this study, through the program used for the statistical analysis of social sciences, the hypotheses were tested by Median and chi-square. Finding: inflating the culture of the departments and divisions of the company, the stagnation and inflexibility of the society's culture, and the inadequacy of that culture to the requirements of work within the community, which led to an overlap in the powers and responsibilities? The most important recommendations: The necessity of changing the organizational structure to comply with the requirements of work, after carefully studying the internal and external environment, and for the change to take place based on the recommendations of specialists in administrative sciences. So that it is not random and does not lead to an inflation of the organizational structure without success. Value: The importance of the study stems from the fact that it addresses an important topic in business administration, which is managing change in organizations, which is the only way for these organizations to develop and continue to exist. It also studies the reality of change management in the DAL Dairy Factory - Sudan.

Posyandu was one manifestation of Health Efforts on Community Based (UKBM). Based on data Posyandu Mawar 2 in February 2015 there were a decreased number of mothers’s visit from 81.25% to 62.5%, so the researchers wanted to know about association of the mother’s perception with the utilization of The Posyandu. This research used cross sectional study design using total sampling (80 mothers). Data collection was done by direct interviews based on the questionnaire and analyzed using Chi Square. The result there’s a significant association between mother’ss perception of the distance to the utilization of Posyandu RW 06 Posyandu Mawar 2 Kebagusan South Jakarta and there’s no significant relationship between education, employment and the knowledge and mothers’perceptions about the completeness of facilities, the attitude of cadres and the presence of health workers. Suggestions for Posyandu is to increase  of  mother’confident to visit Posyandu

This study aims at identifying the barriers to knowledge management implementation in Iranian consulting companies including PDSCO in 2015. Research method is applied in terms of objective, and descriptive-survey research in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of research consists of all staff in PDSCO and its branches. The statistical sample of research includes 200 subjects who are selected by simple random sampling. Data collection tool consists of a researcher-made 27-item questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The reliability of this questionnaire is equal to 0.87 based on Cronbach’s alpha. Descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS software are used to analyse data, and thus the exploratory factor analysis is utilized to identify factors, and Friedman test is used for ranking them. The main results of research show that components including the empowerment, encouragement and support, knowledge application, knowledge sharing, salary and benefits, creativity, trust, and technological and knowledge-based factors respectively play main roles in knowledge management implementation.

The study was carried out to examine the compliance of people to awareness programmes/preventive measures on COVID-19. The study was carried out in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State with the population being the residents of Ibadan North Local Government area. The study employed a descriptive design of the survey type. A self-designed questionnaire was used to elicit responses from respondents through purposive sampling method via Google form; sent to 400 respondents out of which 200 copies of questionnaire which were filled in a valid form were used for the study. Descriptive statistics of mean and standard deviation with appropriate remarks were used to analyse the research questions while T-test was used to analyze hypotheses 1-3 and ordinary least squares regression was used to analyse hypothesis 4. The study showed that there existed a strong relationship between awareness programmes/preventive measures on COVID-19 and compliance of Ibadan North Local Government area citizens; that there existed a low significant relationship between medium of information and compliance of people to awareness/preventive measures on COVID-19 as indicated in (r = 0.811, P = .000 <0.05) and among others the study revealed that awareness programmes, medium of information and preventive measures had (P = 0.05, R = 0.993, R2 = 0.976, Adjusted R2 = 0.986, F = 4707.2; Sig = 0.000); which showed that these dependent variables had significant relationship with people’s compliance to awareness programmes on COVID-19. Among the recommendations made were that government of Oyo State in particular and Nigeria in general should heighten the process of awareness programmes, provide materials that would help in taking preventive measures to indigent people and educate people on the lookout for verified and certified information from real authoritative sources as opposed to subscribing to fake news.

This study examined the marital adjustment and communication styles among married adults in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. A descriptive survey design was adopted. The population consists of married adults in Ilorin, Kwara State. Two research questions were raised and four null hypotheses were postulated in the study. Data were collected using a questionnaire tagged ‘Relationship between Marital Adjustment and Communication Styles Questionnaire’ (RMACSQ). Data analysis was done using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). The result obtained revealed that there was a high level of marital adjustment among married adults in Ilorin, Kwara State. Married adults in Ilorin Kwara State adopt good communication styles in marriage. There was no significant relationship between marital adjustment and communication styles of married adults in Kwara State based on age, gender and educational status. There was a significant relationship between marital adjustment and communication styles among married adults in Kwara State on the basis of years of marriage. Based on the findings of this study, it was recommended that seminars and conferences should be organized for married adults in other to enlighten them on the challenges of marital relationships. This would enable them to adjust and communicate better in their new home.

This study assessed the effectiveness of participatory video and drama in enhancing learning of climate-smart push-pull technology in western Kenya. A total of 80 farmers who had no knowledge of push pull technology were exposed to participatory drama and video that had been developed by farmers who are adopting push pull technology. Validated questionnaires were used for data collection where sampled non push pull farmers were interviewed before and after exposure to push pull knowledge using participatory video and drama. Data obtained was analyzed using chi square at 0.05 confidence level set a priori and also presented using frequency tables, percentages, charts and averages relevant. Results show that the effectiveness of participatory video and drama in disseminating   push pull content is significantly differentiated by the type or component of the push pull knowledge being disseminated. For instance, among farmers exposed to drama, 38.4% were rated as average and good in their understanding of Push Pull concepts, descriptions and definitions compared 19.2% for farmers exposed to participatory video (χ^2=15.949, p0.05). This is completely different for push pull knowledge contents of “establishment and management of Push pull fields”, where among farmers exposed to video,46.1% were rated as good and average compared to 28.2% who were exposed to drama (χ^2=10.1921, p=5). The study concludes that while both methods are cost effective, drama is more effective in  the attraction of larger crowd ,ignition of initial  interest  and educating farmers  on  minimum basics of push pull technology .Participatory video does better in explaining deeper details of push pull knowledge where farmers need not only to hear of the technology but also to adopt it .However no single dissemination method can work perfectly alone, whereas drama can be used as an introductory in attracting the crowd and teaching the basic technological knowledge of push pull technology, this knowledge can be affirmed for purposes of actual adoption by other dissemination methodologies like   participatory video.

<em>The study looks into wages and salaries administration as a motivational tool in Nigerian organisation. The study went further to distinguish between gratuitous and paid job with possible effect of wages and salaries as it relates to individual contribution and effort towards the achievement of the corporate goals and objectives. The study made use of a self-designed questionnaire and eventually used chi-square to analyze and conclude on the hypothesis that wages and salaries serves as motivational tool and that wages and salaries has significant relationship with workers performance in Nigerian organisation.</em>

This research aimed to determine the metaphorical perceptions of class teachers and reveal whether these perceptions are affected by the teaching approaches they adopt. Because teachers&rsquo; opinions were collected in written form, this study is a descriptive survey model study. The participants of the study consisted of 64 class teachers chosen through the maximum variety sampling method. A data collection tool consisting of two open-ended questions was developed to determine the metaphors and educational approaches teachers adopt. According to research results, teacher metaphors are highlighted in two categories as &ldquo;metaphors giving active roles to the teacher&rdquo; and &ldquo;metaphors giving passive roles to the teacher&rdquo;. Generally, teachers adopted one of the behaviouristic, cognitive, and constructivist approaches. This study revealed that participants who adopted behavioural and cognitive educational approaches produced metaphors giving active roles to the teacher. Participants who adopted the constructivist educational approach produced metaphors giving passive roles to the teacher. It was determined that there is a strong significant relationship between the metaphors that teachers produce and the educational approach they adopt.

Design-based case studies address research questions that involve instructional innovations within a bounded system. This blend of case study and design-based research provides a systematic approach to examining instructional innovations that are bounded by perspective, context, and time. Design-based case studies provide a framework for engaging in iterative cycles of data collection and analysis that are used to determine how, why, and whether the goals of an instructional innovation have been met. The authors note common concerns surrounding case study and design-based research and how design-based case studies address these concerns by building on the strengths of both approaches.
