The article has analyzed the "cluster" category, the expected positive effects of the creation and development of clusters in the agri-food sphere of the Southern region have been grounded and the European clustering experience has been considered. The concept of a cluster as a unique organizational and economic formation has been investigated. The advantages of clustering in the agri-food sphere of the region for increasing its competitiveness in foreign markets have been analyzed. It has been shown, that cluster initiatives in the agri-food sphere of the regions are a popular platform for cooperation between countries. It was noted, that the regions in which the clusters function are becoming leaders in the economies of certain countries. It has been concluded, that the effectiveness of interaction in a cluster is determined by the optimality of the combination of interests of all major groups of participants. The development of clusters will be more effective if they are implemented on the basis of the principle of "reasonable specialization", that is, taking into account the unique competitive advantages of the region. In addition, success will depend on the ability to adapt to the environment.

Innovative processes are the foundation of the current method of management and a means of providing competitive advantages to individual enterprises (firms), industries, regions, countries. Strengthening the innovative orientation of the socio-economic formation of Ukraine seems to be a strategic task of the national financial policy, guidelines for the creation of a competitive state economy. A significant basis for the development of Ukraine’s competitive advantages in the international arena is the innovative activity of industrial production entities. The formation of innovative activities of current enterprises insists on the development of a fresh mechanism of interaction between producers and customers on the basis of coordination of their interests. Creators of innovative ideas and producers of innovative products (services) are obliged to anticipate the need for new goods, to encourage customers to use new technologies and new products in their activities. Therefore, the innovative activity of the enterprise as soon as possible must be used to use an effective tool – innovation management, which involves the use of tools, methods, technologies of management throughout the formation of innovation policy of the enterprise. The current circumstances of highly competitive markets necessitate the renewal and modernization of production technologies, development and production of new competitive products, the application of new approaches to management and organization of production, which can only guarantee investments aimed at innovation. Thus, the object of scientific research in the area of management of innovation investment processes is to identify more flexible opportunities for mobilization of financial resources and improve the mechanism of their direction to innovative development. Since the creation of innovation policy of the enterprise must focus on the market and the consumer, market research should be conducted, which should be preceded by a thorough study of the innovative product.

Intensification of competition in restaurant business is accompanied by the emergence of a large number of competing dining establishments in both domestic and foreign markets, the increase of market requirements that force restaurants to continuously develop their strategic potentials, seek for various options for their effective work and create new competitive advantages. Availability of such advantages in restaurant industry is among the most important preconditions to obtain the surplus and develop business, which determines the relevance of the present research. Thus, the present study is aimed at demonstrating the ways of helping an increase of the competitiveness and efficiency in public catering establishments in present-day conditions of economic management. The authors discuss the concept of competitive advantages, analyse the results of the assessment of restaurant competitiveness (60 restaurants of Chernivtsi have been assessed), and suggest criteria to help rank the restaurant-type establishments of Chernivtsi by indicators of their competitiveness. The company’s total rating combines all important parameters (indicators) of financial and economic activity, marketing, investment, production activities, etc. Rating of competitiveness makes it possible to see which the best restaurants are, as well as to determine further goals and steps for those who gained fewer points. These goals and steps include: efficient use of available potential; definition and expansion of the range of products; up-to-date serving; development and introduction of new forms of service; development of customer-oriented complex of restaurant services based on the study of customers’ habits; increase of staff competitiveness; reduction of restaurant expenses; attraction of new customers by way of modern advertising campaigns, etc.

Topicality. The market of fruit and berry products plays an important role in ensuring the food security of the state and its regions, has prospects for integration into the world market by introducing new technologies of growing products, choosing optimal irrigation systems, taking into account the peculiarities of organization of processing and storage of products, improving its quality in order to reach foreign markets. Aim and tasks. The purpose of the article is to study the current trends in the market development of fruit and berry products of Ukraine, determine the boundaries of the market, its main subjects, competitive advantages and logistical problems of development. Research results. The main parameters of the market of fruit and berry products of Ukraine are analyzed in the article, the main tendencies and logistical problems of development are revealed. In the course of the research the tendency of growth of production in individual sectors of the market, yield and demand for fruit and berry products was established. The author identifies the main logistical problems that hinder the reproductive development of the SNF market, which include: lack of storage facilities in the region, underdevelopment of storage units and sales of products of individual farms, low role of the state, lack of wholesale markets for agricultural products and others. Solving these problems will contribute to the logistical development and expanded reproduction of resources in the sectors of this market. Conclusion. The study substantiates the author's definition of the category "Logistics development of the SNF market", analyzes the main tendencies and logistical problems of development, proposes the basic measures of logistic development of the market, in particular: the creation of cooperatives of sales or processing, the construction of fruit stores in the region, the creation of wholesale markets, the establishment of wholesale markets, connection of individual manufacturers with wholesalers and provide them with a range of marketing services.

At the present stage many Ukrainian enterprises are actively involved in foreign trade, which is important. However, the lack of experience or inexperience of domestic enterprises in foreign markets requires a lot of efforts to implement it. The article considers consumer foreign economic activity of enterprises, elaborates the main preconditions and general recommendations for improvement of foreign economic activity of enterprises.

ABSTRACT:This article examines the impact of post-war urban renewal on industry and economic activity in Manchester and Leeds. It demonstrates that local redevelopment plans contained important economic underpinnings which have been largely overlooked in the literature, and particularly highlights expansive plans for industrial reorganization and relocation. The article also shows that, in practice, urban renewal had a destabilizing and destructive impact on established industrial activities and exacerbated the inner-city problems of unemployment and disinvestment which preoccupied policy-makers by the 1970s. The article argues that post-war planning practices need to be integrated into wider histories of deindustrialization in British cities.

The article analyzes the problems of improving the efficiency of managing the foreign economic activity of an organization, which lead to the need to change the algorithm of making a managerial decision on the development of its foreign economic activity. The main indicators and factors under which the organization is able to enter foreign markets are analyzed; the features, directions and risks of the organization's international activities are analyzed. The organizational and economic model of managing the foreign economic activity of the organization and the algorithm for making a management decision on the development of such activities are developed. Recommendations for improving the efficiency of work in this area are proposed.

This paper analyzes cooperative enterprises' networks in the Italian economy, in accordance with recent economic theory, to throw light on the causes of their success of in the last 30 years. We reference the vast literature about business networks to identify some interpretative lines that can be transferred to the cooperative world. On this basis, a typology of the Italian cooperative networks is offered, in order to evaluate the competitive advantages of each type of net, their governance methods, their evolution, and their impact on the recent flourishing of Italian cooperatives. Our conclusion is that the use of networks by co-ops has been very intensive and can still be strengthened, if Italian co-op umbrella organizations will merge. Building large cooperative corporations was often the result of networking, as was the creation of joint stock companies owned by cooperatives.

The article is devoted to the study of the advantages that give the subjects of foreign economic activity the status of an authorized economic operator and its impact on the level of international competitiveness of the enterprise. Object of research is international competitiveness of the enterprise. The purpose of the work is to study the prospects of obtaining the status of AEO by the subjects of foreign economic activity in the conditions of intensification of foreign economic activity, which will provide them with competitive advantages in international markets. Method of research is methods of synthesis and analysis. The international competitiveness of the enterprise is determined by the set of its competitive advantages in the foreign market. It is established that one of the potential advantages for domestic enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity is to obtain the status of an authorized economic operator. The types of authorization depending on the place of the enterprise in the international supply chain are considered. A three-layer system of providing simplifications to economic operators in the EU is presented. The benefits of obtaining this status for exporters and importers are identified. The results of this article can be used, for example, by enterprises engaged in foreign economic activity to ensure competitive advantages over other companies. Forecast assumptions about the object of study - increasing the level of international competitiveness of enterprises by obtaining the status of an authorized economic operator. The article examines the essence of foreign economic activity of enterprises, the features and prospects of its implementation in the field of agrarian and industrial complex. Based on the conducted analysis, it is proved that agrarian export of Ukraine plays a significant role in the formation of the budget and GDP of the country, since its share in 2018 was 14.2% of GDP and 33.4% of the total national exports of goods. The dynamics of export-import operations of the agrarian sector is explored and it is found that it demonstrates a positive trend in contrast to the general foreign trade balance of Ukraine. The analysis of the agrarian exports structure in 2010-2019 confirms the growth of the share of the majority of agrarian products types sold abroad. However, Ukrainian exports are mainly oriented towards raw materials, which, among other reasons, is associated with technological backwardness and the limited ability of domestic agricultural producers to purchase modern equipment and technologies due to theirs low solvency. The commodity orientation of Ukrainian exports makes the competitive position of Ukraine in foreign markets vulnerable, since the demand for commodities is unstable and is characterized by significant price volatility. The geographical structure of foreign trade in agrarian products and the possibilities of its further diversification are investigated. The majority of Ukrainian products in Europe are purchased in Poland, Italy and Germany. Significant connoisseurs of Ukrainian products are also Turkey, China, India, Egypt. Ukrainian exports should be expanded to Asian and Eastern countries. The key problems that put the brakes on the development of the foreign economic activity of the enterprises of agrarian and industrial complex and hinder the competitiveness increase of domestic agrarian products in the international market are identified. A number of measures are proposed to promote the further development of the foreign economic activity of the enterprises of agrarian and industrial complex, including the development of appropriate strategies taking into account global market trends, harmonization and compliance with the quality and safety standards of agrarian products, improving the innovative component, strengthening state support (including financial) of the export-oriented agrarian enterprises, improving the investment climate, and more.
