Introduction. An important aspect of studying the activities of the court Armoury of the Russian tsars of the 17th century is the work of foreign specialists. The firearms made by Bartelt Kinneman, Philip Timofeev and Kaspar Kalthof II are currently preserved in the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums. Unfortunately, many aspects of the biographies and professional activity of these masters in Russia are still poorly studied. Methods and materials. The basis for the study is the complex of unpublished sources of the former archive of the Armoury Chamber – currently Fund 396 of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts (RGADA). Besides, the paper applies unpublished and published sources of the offices of the Ambassadorial Prikaz, the Artillery Prikaz and the Secret Affairs Prikaz. Analysis. When considering the biography of one of the most successful court gunsmiths Bartelt Kinneman, we pay attention to the episode with the escape from him of student named Philip arrived with him from Vilna. In 1672, master Philip Timofeev, who later took a high position among the court gunsmiths, was transferred from the office of the Artillery Prikaz to the Armoury Chamber. The examined documents helped clarify some important details of gunsmiths Kaspar Kalthof II’s stay in Russia. In particular, it was possible to determine the place and duration of his service in the workshop of the Artillery Prikaz. The sources allow to establish that Philip Timofeev was a student who escaped from master B. Kinneman in 1661, entered military service, and later worked in the Armoury workshop in the office of Artillerie with K. Kalthof II. It is assumed that the transition of Ph. Timofeev and his successful career in the Armoury Сhamber became possible as a result of the agreement that he concluded with his former master B. Kinneman. Results. The article introduces new information about the place of service of the gunsmiths in Russia, the features of professional training, career development in the court Armoury, the specifics of relationships with each other and with the Russian administration.

The main tasks of the experimental work were: checking the pedagogical conditions identified on the basis of theoretical analysis of the establishment of readiness of future military psychologists for professional activity in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the process of professional training; determining the dynamics of the establishment of readiness of future officers-psychologists for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the basis of developed criteria and indicators; performing statistical verification and confirming the results of experimental work; analyzing the results obtained and drawing conclusions and recommendations based on the results of the conducted pedagogical research.The study was conducted on the basis of the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the Military Academy (Odessa) and the Department of military training of the National Aviation University. Three/four-year cadets, attendees on the training of reserve officers, educators and officers were involved in the experimental work. The given analysis of the components of readiness of future officers-psychologists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for military service, namely: knowledge of theoretical material, motivation, emotional stability, endurance and communicative component have the root-mean-square results at the end of the experiment the analysis shows an increase in indicators by 10% in experimental groups relative to the control with the same indicators at the beginning of the experiment 58.5%. The qualitative indicator in the control group increased by 13.5%, and in the experimental group by 23.5%.

The article analyzes main sources for genealogical study of service families of the 17th century. The subject of the study is sources on history and genealogy of service class families in the 17th century, revealed in specific study of O(A)stafievs, boyar scions of the Chernavsk uezd. The relevance of the study is determined by lack of scientific publications containing analysis of sources on the genealogy of service class people in Russia (and particularly, in “territory of the southern borderland”) of the time. It should be noted that genealogical aspects of formation of the military-service corporation of the Chernavsk uezd is virtually absent in scholarship. Relying on documentary, analytical, systemic, chronological, and biographical methods, the authors have examined unpublished archival sources from the fonds of the Order-in-charge (Razryadny) and Domestic (Pomestny) Prikazes from the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts. These are desyatni (books on armament capability, allocation, distribution of allowance), annual budget books, krestoprivodnye knigi (pledge of allegiance books), pistsovye knigi (owner land descriptions), otkaznye knigi (land grants books), petitions, revisions of service class people, etc. Working with these historical sources has allowed the authors to carry out a comprehensive genealogical study and to systematize data on life, family ties, specifics of military service of the service class families representatives in the southern borderlands in the 17th century, in particular, O(A)stafievs, boyar scions of the Chernavsk uezd. As a result of the study, many documents have been introduced into scientific use. The historical and genealogical research carried out by the authors has now been brought up to the 1640s. It has been established that boyar scions Astafyevs were among the first settlers in the uezd who received estates for service from Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Romanov in the mid-17th century. One of unresolved issues in the study is the question of the Astafievs' “exodus” to Chernavsk, in other words, identification of their former place of residence. Service class people moved to different uezds for various reasons (lack of land, the development of new territories, military conflicts, etc.) thus expanding their familial geography. This fact indicates that in the course of studying genealogy of service class families, certain problems may arise associated with absence or fragmentation of sources for individual uezds and difficulties in determining the family ties, especially in the early 17th century.

The article, based on archival sources, provides new information about two godchildren of F.M. Dostoevsky: Platon Milyukov (with clarification of the name, date and place of his baptism) and Grigoriy Snitkin (the fact of the writer's participation in the baptism has not yet been noted in the biographical literature). Two authentic metric records found in the Central State Archive of Saint Petersburg are put into scientific circulation, allowing to supplement or correct the information contained in the “Chronicle of the life and work” of the writer. The attraction of documentary sources (stored in the Russian State Historical Archive of service and form lists), analysis of the preserved epistolary, reference and biographical literature allowed to attempt to systematize all available data about Grigoriy Ivanovich Snitkin and for the first time to make a biographical reference about his person, native nephew of Anna Grigoryevna Dostoevsky and godson of the writer – thus adding information about F.M. Dostoevsky’s family circle.

The professional training of the modern military serviceman of the Armed Forces is an ongoing process that involves the formation of a person with high moral and business qualities, capable of qualitatively solving complex military and professional tasks in peacetime and special period. The training of military personnel is carried out against the background of global confrontation and hybrid aggression by the northern neighbor. One of the important components of the Armed Forces reform is the long-awaited reform for noncommissioned officers. It is planned to change the functionality of the sergeant corps, in essence, to form the necessary risk-oriented competencies for the sergeant, to make him an effective assistant to the middle-level commander and to create additional motivation for the citizens of Ukraine to undergo military service under a contract, which will facilitate the transition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the issue of risk-oriented competency formation for military personnel in the context of the transition to global security standards has still received little attention. The purpose of the article is to create a scientific foundation for the formation of risk-oriented competence of military personnel in the conditions of transition to the world security standards. On the whole, it can be stated that the level and quality of professional training of military personnel in Ukraine is at a satisfactory level, but needs improvement. Today, the military education system has received practical training, the advanced training methods of the NATO Member States' Armed Forces, as well as distance learning technologies have been introduced into the educational process, military education institutions are equipped with modern methods, but educational and methodological support for the risk orientation. According to current ideas, risk-based thinking and risk-oriented competence should be shared by every member of society. However, above all, this applies to those whose professional activity depends on the security of the state and society.

The article studies the theoretical review and substantiation of psychological and pedagogical aspects of the problem of establishment of the readiness of future military psychologists to tackle conflict situations in their professional activities. The conducted scientific research made it possible to reveal the main loads and specifics of the practical activities of future military psychologists during their service in military units, which, in turn, actualized the need to establish readiness among young officers even at the stages of training in higher military educational institutions.The paper analyzes the issue of “readiness for professional activity”, and shows that the space of scientific thoughts is heterogeneous and has many approaches to understanding this definition.It is identified that readiness for the future military psychologist to tackle conflict situations in professional activity is a complex characteristic of the individual, including a system of professional motives, psychological qualities, attitudes and states, subject and intellectual knowledge, skills and abilities, which together is the key to the effective performance of functional duties. The paper proposes to interpret the process “readiness of future military psychologists to resolve conflict situations in their professional activities” as a holistic training covering professional knowledge, skills, patriotic views and beliefs; professional orientation to military service; reflection of their achievements; professional self-improvement.It is found that the content of the readiness of future military psychologists to tackle conflict situations in professional activity is a set of relevant knowledge and skills, which is provided by mastering the relevant profession (professional training), acquiring professionally important personality qualities, entering professional activity after graduation from a higher military educational institution (professional adaptation) skill development in military service (professional self-improvement). Based on the best practices of the scientific community, five main components of readiness are outlined: motivational, value-oriented, communicative-informational, creative, operational-activity.

The article investigates and publishes a previously unknown note-autograph of Orest Nasturel, a famous book figure of the first half of the 17th century, who made a significant contribution to the popular education in Wallachia. Orest Nasturel held the high position of the second logothete at the court of the Wallachian ruler Matei Basarab. Despite his busy schedule, he devoted much of his time to collecting ancient manuscripts, translating Latin and Church Slavonic books into Romanian, and publishing them. Establishing the facts of Orest Nasturel’s biography is based, in historiography, on the analysis of the records he left in books. The scientific novelty of this research stems from the fact that, for the first time, there is introduced into scientific circulation Orest Nasturel’s handwritten owner’s entry, found in the manuscript book of Catecheses of Theodore the Studite in the Collection of SlavonicRussian Manuscripts of E.E. Egorov of the Russian State Library (Manuscripts Department, coll. 98, no. 949). According to this record, dated 1642, Orest Nasturel, inspecting once the sovereign’s monasteries, found in the Snagov Monastery (now Romania) an ancient manuscript crumbling from decay. Since it was not possible to save it, Orest Nasturel made a long journey to Rybnitsa (now the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic), where a famous book master named Nikolai made for him, in 1642, a copy of this book, which Orest then put into the Trinity Cozia Monastery (now Romania.) In the 19th century, the book was taken in Russia, probably by Russian old believers, where it first came to the collection of the antiquarian-bookseller I.L. Silin, and then was purchased from him by E.E. Egorov. The author conducted the dating of the manuscript’s watermarks (the 1640s) and compared the note’s handwriting with known autographs of Orest Nasturel. It is noted that the beautiful head-piece and the initials of Egorov’s Collection are close to the manuscript of Octoechos of the middle of the 17th century, stored in Belgrade in the Library of Serbian Patriarchate. According to a postscript in it, the Octoechos was made in a Slavic monastery of Athos. It is established that such decoration was quite popular for South Slavic manuscripts in the middle of the 17th century, and, therefore, it was hardly copied by the scribe Nikolai from an ancient original. The main results of the study are the detection, identification, attribution, reading and publication of the previously unknown note-autograph, as well as geographical and chronological localization of the list. The author emphasizes the value of Egorov’s Collection for studying by the specialists in the field of philology and linguistics, and sets a promising task of recreating the content, language features and dating of the lost protograph.

The article is devoted to several dictionary monuments related to the Azbukovnik genre, which arose and developed in Old Russian lexicography in the 17th century. Several manuscripts of these monuments, judging by the handwriting, are related to the lexicographer David Zamaray who was the head of the Moscow Printing House in the early 17th century. The characteristic handwriting of David Zamaray, with which the manuscripts with his author’s notes were written, is found in the manuscripts of the National Library of Russia (RNL), Solovetskoye sobr., No. 302/322, RNB, Sophijskoe sobr., No. 1567. Also, presumably Zamaray can be attributed to the list of manuscripts of the Russian State Library (RSL), collection S.O.Dolgova, No. 45. Manuscripts of the National Library of Russia, Solovetskoye collection, No. 302/322 and RSL, collection S.O.Dolgova, No. 45 refer to the little-studied period of the formation of the Azbukovnik genre. The first manuscript, organized alphabetically and partly by thematic organization of the vocabulary material, probably served as a reference for David Zamaray in his work on other dictionaries. The second manuscript is part of the lexicographic tradition of the early alphabet books, in which manuscripts of two editions are distinguished. The RNL manuscript, Sophia collection, No. 1567 is a manuscript of a separate edition of the Sixth Azbukovnik described in the article in comparison with other lexicographic monuments.

The article is devoted to the study of labour achievements of Ivanovo residents during the participation of the USSR in World War II. This was preceded by a whole list of legal, managerial, social and economic decisions taken at the level of the centre and the region. Their main components were measures to organise labour and strengthen labour discipline, which, along with others, were based on the maximum mobilisation of regional resources. They were adequate to the military situation and in general they were so successful that the enterprises of the city and the region were able to achieve uninterrupted production of military and civilian products, and their teams during the war showed mass labour heroism and dedication. The article is based on the materials of the state archive of Ivanovo Region and the Russian state archive of socio-political history, as well as local and central periodicals. It summarises new information on the subject of most archival documents are introduced into scientific circulation, which allows to expand the knowledge of researchers and the public about the contribution of residents of Ivanovo and the region in achieving victory over Nazi Germany and its allies. The results of this study may be of interest to experts in the field of regional economy and the history of the World War II East Front.

The article is devoted to the motivational readiness of future officers of missiles and artillery armament as a factor of their professional development. The author noted that the motives occupy an increasingly prominent place in the structure of future missile and artillery armament officers’ professional training for a future military service. These motives are determined in the article as a person’s inner encouragement to activity, connected with meeting certain needs. The benefit of this study is that a group of motives that determine the professional activity of military specialists has been identified. Moreover, the analysis of the motivational sphere gave grounds to identify the needs of the cadets: an attractiveness of the specialty, a physical training, a military honor and dignity, relations with colleagues, obtaining a civilian specialty for budgetary funds, a social status, and an extension of family traditions of military service. The motivational readiness of cadets is characterized by the appropriate orientation and the presence of the content of activities, the professional attitudes of an individual. As a result, the cadets’ motivational readiness is defined as a stable system of the person’s psychological formations that create appropriate states of mind and encourage military experts to work. The author has made a conclusion in the article that the professional training of a future officer of missile and artillery armament should result in the following: the qualitative performance of operational duties; the ability to make interpersonal relations with a personnel; the ability to see the point in a military service, to set goals, and to exert an insistence in reaching them, to rationally share the duties among the military servicemen, to get a job done; the ability to adapt for a change in social environment through general and military education; a desire for continuous self- development; a confidence in personal skills and correctness of the path pursued. The following three levels of motivational readiness of future officers are revealed by the author of the article: high level (characterized by a pronounced need in military professional self- development), average level (distinguished by the motivational and value structure), low level (characterized by a poor value orientation and military service guidance).
