Amâlî (Imla) is a methodology used in studying Arabic language and literature that has a very wide scope. Amâlî (Imla) itself can be translated as: to dictate, to add, to fill in and etc. Amâlî (Imla) may also be interpreted further by the following narration: A teacher (ustadz) comes to a place like a mosque, an Islamic school or any learning space in general. In the process of teaching and learning, all that are spoken by the teacher is written down by the students on pieces of paper they had prepared earlier then be compiled into a book which will be preserved. This paper presents a brief summary of Amâlî (Imla) as a methodology which is discussed in many Amâlî (Imla) related literature works written from the beginning of 7th century until the 14th century. The subject Amâlî (Imla) is written in exceedingly diverse manner, unique to each of numerous known authors. This paper also discusses about various meaning of the word Amâlî (Imla) that has been interpreted differently among authors. In addition, the method of separating chapters and other minor distinct writing style that each of various groups of Amâlî (Imla) authors had developed was presented in this work. And lastly, this paper discusses the fact that Amâlî (Imla) related textbook authors were not only originated from the Middle East, but also from regions such as Iran (Huzistan) and Andalusia

This paper was aimed at examining the role of linguistics in English language teaching as a EFL at higher education. The participants of the study were summer students of English Language and literature department of Mettu University. Accordingly, all participants were selected through purposive sampling techniques for the questionnaire and interview. Quantitative and qualitative data were obtained and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Thus, this study employed a mixed approach. The findings of the study revealed that all participants have reached on mutual understanding and well noted that linguistics and language teaching have the same subject matter to deal with the role of linguistics to play in the process of language teaching. Therefore it can be said that language is the fundamental unit of the branch of linguistics. Without languages the subject of linguistics cannot be there. In other words languages pave the way for the growth of the field of linguistics. A language is a mental phenomenon and a way of expression of thought by means of articulate sounds. On the other hand linguistics is a branch of study that deals with languages. Finally, the findings have significant implications for adoption of linguistics in teaching language. El objetivo principal de la investigación ha sido analizar la evolución de la atención y concentración en jóvenes estudiantes, tras la implementación de un programa basado en descansos activos o Activity Breaks en la asignatura de Lengua Castellana y Literatura. La muestra, compuesta por 31 estudiantes, 14 chicas y 17 chicos, del primer curso de la Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria (edad media 12.13 años), se dividió en dos grupo clase: grupo control y grupo experimental. La intervención, de 7 semanas, implementada durante las lecciones en el aula, permitió aumentar la cantidad de actividad física diaria. Mediante el instrumento de medida “Test de atención D2”, se midió la atención y la concentración, y a través de un texto dictado el rendimiento ortográfico, los datos se recogieron tanto en la fase previa, como tras la intervención. Los resultados indican un aumento estadísticamente significativo tanto en la variable atención como en la variable concentración en el grupo experimental. En cuanto a los contenidos relativos a Lengua Castellana y Literatura, ortografía, no se observaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas. The main objective of the research has been to study the evolution of attention and concentration after the implementation of a programme based on Activity Breaks in the subject Spanish Language and Literature. The sample, formed by 31 students, 14 girls and 17 boys, from the first course o Compulsory Secondary Education (average age 12.13 years), was divided into two class groups, control group and experimental group. The intervention, of 7 weeks, implemented during the lessons in the classroom, allowed the amount of daily physical activity to be increased. By the measurement instrument “Attention Test D2” attention and concentration and by the text dictated spelling performance was measured, data was collected in the previous phase and after the intervention. The results indicate a statically significant increase in attention and concentration variable in experiential group. Regarding the Spanish Language and Literature contents, orthography, no statistically significant differences were observed.

The purpose of this research is to find out the online learning process of students of the Institute of Teacher Sciences of the Republic of Indonesia Pontianak, especially the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program 2021 in the Learning Media course. This research was conducted in one semester. The methods in this study used descriptive methods. The subject of this study was a grade A morning 4th semester student. Data sources are collected from Students. Data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires, and document studies. The data is analyzed using critical analysis. The results showed that the use of Whatsapp application in the online learning process has a varied influence and difficulty level of students. Based on the results of interviews with students it is known that the online learning process using the Whatsapp application is very petrifying and effectively used in the Online learning process. Similarly, the results of the poll students showed 82.3% results for the learning process, the data analysis can be concluded that the online learning process using whatsapp application is highly recommended and worthy to be used in the online learning process during the Covid 19 Pandemic. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran daring  mahasiswa Institut Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia Pontianak khususnya Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia 2021 dalam mata kuliah Media Pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam satu semester. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kelas A Pagi semester 4. Sumber data dikumpulkan dari Mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, angket, dan studi dokumen. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Whatsapp dalam proses pembelajaran daring memiliki pengaruh dan tingkat kesukaran yang bervariasi dari mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan mahasiswa diketahui bahwa proses pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp sangat membatu dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran Daring. Begitu juga dengan hasil angket mahasiswa menunjukkan hasil 82,3% untuk proses pembelajaran, analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp sangat disarankan dan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran daring selama Pandemi Covid 19. Statement of the problem: Learning about classic authors, whose language is hardly understandable for children, has become a challenge. The decline of literary reading and the lack of focus in the subject matter and idea of the text, which are interrelated to the early culture / identity, make students lose their will to read classic works, thus failing to fulfil the aims and competencies required with the Pre-university Curriculum Framework. Methodology: The research is based on the analysis of Curriculum Framework and the structure of school subjects. Furthermore, methods of teaching classic works and use of complementary means are treated through a combination of quantitative method with the ethnographic one. Results: The research concludes that students tend to read classic works (works by old authors) more easily if they are offered the abridged versions. Making of abridged collections of such works, and complementing book contents with digital content is the tendency that schools have in the digital era. Conclusions / recommendations: MEST should aim towards changing the structure of language and literature course, draft new programs, and prepare additional content for teaching and learning of texts and classic authors (e-school).

This study aimed to describe the characters' cultural meaning and educational values ​​in the poem Ikan Terubuk. It explains that people's moral education results from the refinement of the values ​​instilled since ancient times. Besides, it could also be useful for developing regional literature and enriching teaching materials for teachers of Indonesian language and literature and the learning of local culture, especially in the Riau. Thus, the poem Ikan Terubuk can be known and understood by the next generation so that local wisdom characteristics remain preserved and well maintained by the community. This type of research was qualitative with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used was the note-taking technique. The subject of this research was the poem Ikan Terubuk. This research aimed to focus on stylistic elements, cultural meanings, and educational values ​​of character in the poem Ikan Terubuk. Data analysis through steps: data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The reliability of intra-rater and inter-rater obtained the validity of data. After clarifying the 10 data, it is reflected in the poetry of Ikan Terubuk, which is still developing contextually and has shifted functionally as a magical power in a ritual ceremony in Riau. The religious, nationalist, independent, cooperative, and integrity values showed moral education in this poem. The Islamic values became the dominant value in the poem Ikan Terubuk because it has relevance to the ethnic Malay majority Bengkalis as a devout Muslim.

Polish studies at Lomonosov State University in MoscowPolish Studies at Moscow University are one of specialisations of the department of Slavic Studies at the Faculty of Linguistics. The beginnings of Slavic Studies as a university discipline dates back in 1835. In the 20th century such outstanding scholars as Afanasij Sieliszczew and Samuił Bernsztejn worked as lecturers here. The Polish language and literature together with Czech, Serbo-Croatian and Bulgarian department has existed permanently until today. The Chair of Polish Studies is currently held by the author of the article. Enrolment for Polish Studies takes place once three years. Groups consist of ca. 10–15 people. There is a division into two specialisations – linguistics and literature since the second year of studies. The article presents the subject matter of research and scientific work of didactic workers and their main publications. Student training in Poland and lectures of Polish specialists help mastering fluency in the Polish language.

AbstractA literary standard for Icelandic was created in the nineteenth century. The main architects of this standard were scholars of Old Norse-Icelandic language and literature who turned to the language of the medieval Icelandic literature for linguistic models. Consequently, the resulting standard included a number of features from earlier stages of the language. This standard was successfully implemented despite the relatively weak institutional infrastructure in nineteenth-century Iceland. It is argued in this paper that the first Icelandic novel, Piltur og stúlka, appearing in 1850 and again in a revised edition in 1867, played an important role in spreading the standard. The novel championed the main ideological tenets of the prevailing language policy, and at the same time it was a showcase for the new standard. A rural love story set in contemporary Iceland, the novel was a welcome literary innovation. Most importantly, the subject matter appealed to children and adolescents in their formative years, and the novel thus became a powerful and persuasive vehicle for the new linguistic standard.

The Ministry of Education and Training has published the draft of the school curriculum of Vietnamese language and literature. It is possible to visualize the underlying principles of the draft via studying the presentation and the explanation of key concepts to understand the curriculum draft (presented in the "Some key terminologies in the subject curriculum" section).
