The modernity theories of western-type societies are understood as a process, when a developing society approaches developed societies, reaching a certain level of economic growth, a certain level of public participation or a certain phase of democratic development, giving access for more individuals to the physical, social and economic mobility. In modern societies, the educational institution has become one of the key factors to ensure the stimulating and securing mobility of individuals. The modern world gives the education prominence in modern societies. Education has become a major means to climb up the ladder of social classes. Therefore, education has to be compulsory so that it prevents people from creating social groups that could turn into ones non - integral, excluded from society. The aim of modern society is to provide equal opportunities to everyone to learn and meet the needs of the times. According to the modernity theory the Institution of Education should become the basis of social security protecting the individual from various social risks in the future. According to functionalists, each social element of a society as a whole, including the educational institution, contributes to the stability of society. Summarizing various descriptions of the concepts of a social institution in the literature one can conclude that social institution is organized associations of people, who perform certain socially important functions through their social roles, or have common goals, values, norms and behavior patterns. Social institutions can be strong or weak, regardless of people‘s trust in them, nor the requirements of social life. It has been noted that in the scientific literature usually four major social institutions are identified: family, education, religion and politics. The importance of the institutions in society depends upon the times, the country’s political and economic context. The process of Institution-building in social life, acquisition of the well-established values is known as institutionalization. It takes place at all levels of social life, in small groups and large organizations. A greater part of ordinary societal life occurs in specialized institutional situations. Today’s social institutions are quite independent, though they are connected by people, who link themselves to a number of social institutions. Social institutions often compete among each other, for each of them aims at managing the main social functions of society. Family, education, church, and government often compete amid each other openly attempting to influence various groups of society.

As an old legacy, the function of the mosque in Minangkabau has gradually developed. At first surau functioned as a place for traditional ceremonies, then developed into a place of worship and gathering of young people to learn various knowledge and skills. In addition, adult men who are not married or who have been widowers make surau as a place to rest at night. This means that the mosque at that time had a dual role, in addition to being an educational institution as well as a social institution. During a time of change, the education system does not only provide a study of the Qur'an and the study of books and orders. But it has been added to the teaching of a number of religious literature such as the book of jurisprudence, nahwu, sharaf and Sufism. Judging from the history of the emergence of pesantren and madrasa in Indonesia, pesantren first appeared compared to madrasa. This means that the education process in pesantren can be said to be the parent of the current developing education process. From the beginning, the more dominant pesantren curriculum was related to religious lessons sourced from Arabic yellow books. Whereas general lessons are hardly studied at all. But along with the demands of the times, there are already some pesantren that incorporate general lessons into their curriculum, so that modern pesantren are born which seek to integrate religious and general knowledge into their curriculum. In addition, the pesantren curriculum also seeks to equip its students with various life skills as capital to enter the community after they have completed their education at the pesantren. The role and existence of the surau and Islamic boarding school as one of the original Indonesian community development institutions must indeed be preserved and monitored for its development, because the presence of the surau and Islamic boarding school in the midst of the community is in addition to empowering the community as well as a forum to prepare capable Ulama cadres mastering and understanding the Qur'an and al-Hadith properly and correctly and in accordance with the needs of the community. Keywords: Surau, Islamic Boarding School, Islamic Community Development.

The article is devoted to the analysis of historical dynamics of university and its classification of cultural types. The main part of attention is concerned over the classical model of university and its transformations. The university carries out a social institution. It has absence of its own an autonomous field of culture, which is a form of spiritual rather than social production. Education is a set of social institutions that produce the social structure directly, that is, social technology with the purpose of human and social production of the new model. The society of the late Modern becomes a collection of social institutions (not only educational, but also legal, political, economical, and even in a certain sense cultural) and industries (specialized fields of material production). Education in this sense is a form of human production in general, while economics, politics and law are generally aimed at the indirect production of people through the logic of much complicated institutes movement: economics, politics, law (goods, power structures and laws). Depending on the national model of education, universities determine the priority of certain educational strategies. The university as a social technology, based on the new sample of the anthropological model, forms disciplinary practices that function for production of habitus and cultural capital, and also provides identification "under the auspices of the concept of culture" (B. Readings) in the Modern era. This cultural-historical period is characterized by the fact that social control is carried out not with the help of personal coercion, but of the passage through institutions. A higher educational institution in the era of Modernity is the most consistent embodiment of the idea of a social institution as an intermediary between spiritual and material production. Culture in this context acts as a form of "high culture," that is, as a way of human existence just like this, with value orientations on the foundations of universal cult of reason. The "Cultural Mission" of the University is a mediation between the regulatory ideas of the Modern and a certain type of state that is, to be a social technology of nation-building. The technology of cultivating reason is provided by studying at the Philosophy Faculty and is an obligatory philosophical component for other faculties in the German model, created by V. Humboldt. The formation of the cult of universal reason and self-sufficient subject is the basic task of the classical university and its leading sociocultural function and cultural mission.

In the culture of the XXI century, the most significant concepts reflecting its originality, the dominant type of consciousness, social, cultural and communicative practices, the nature of factors motivating social transformations include the concept of "media". Mediatization, that is, the process of involving a person and society in the media sphere, is due to both rapid innovations in the communication and technological environment and changes in the person himself, the formation of a stable need in him, on the one hand, for information, for its continuous increase, updating and expanding its problem-thematic spectrum, and on the other - in public self-presentation, in managing the attention and impression of target audiences. Media, penetrating into all spheres of life and activities of modern society, inevitably transforms its social institutions, practices, texts and language. The subject of consideration in the article is the individual features of the language that functions in the modern media environment and has become today, thanks to the accelerated expansion of its social base and inclusion in a variety of communicative circumstances, the most important form of existence of the national language. The language of the media "lives" in time, in culture, in the consciousness of each individual and in a specific information-speech communication conditioned by the social context and media technology, accumulating experience, knowledge and values, intellectual and emotional resources, as well as marked and interpreted a person and a society meaningful parameters of social life. At the same time, it itself forms the cultural canons and their worldview principles, paving the way for a person both to the heights of culture and to its bottom.

The ever-expanding rotation of science, along with the remarkable progress of civilization and human science in this modern age, has arisen multidimensional and multi-complex human life problems and crises, such as: ecological crisis, humanitarian crisis , moral crises (demoralisation), greater social and economic inequality, violence and crime, and other crises. The occurrence of that is because of the enormous inequality between science and technology that developed so rapidly with moral wisdom and humanity that is not developed at all, if not said backwards. Furthermore, if traced the root cause, as a result of the unsuitability between the demands of the times with the world view of the modern world. On the one hand, the flow of globalization has eliminated human relationships in a more open, dialogical, tolerant, and plural climate. The most dominant significance of character change, mindset, attitude, ethics, and morals is endorsed in educational institutions. So when there is a deterioration and anxiety in human life that is definitely blamed is the educational institution. However, on the other hand, the worldview adopted by most modern humans does not allow the dialogical and humanist relations to grow and develop. Based on the concept of holistic education is an offer.

Every human child begins their education from within the family because there is no one in this world who is not born into a family. Long before there was a formal educational institution called a school, the family had existed as an institution that played an important role in serving children's education, namely as the laying of the main foundation. Starting from the family each child learns many things, starting from how to interact with others, expressing opinions, how to behave, to how to embrace certain values as principles in living life. Additionally, broadly speaking, among scientists, especially observers of children's and family education, both at the local, national, and world level, strongly emphasizes their attention on preschooll children's education, especially when still in the care, and guidance of parents. Heidegger, Nietzsche, and Foucault associated the human existence with the power of questioning and action of freedom. Despite the action of freedom of human being as a being with questioning power, the society has become a surveillance community. According to Foucault, these two states are in a delicate balance. Man in a liberation act gets into a state of protesting and becomes rebellious when his/her private life and rights are threatened. The social life turns into a state of resistance and chaos with the rebellions of the poor and the other marginal groups. According to Foucault, the government has to face the new information, organization, and challenge of opinion groups. These views point to the existence of serious contradictions and conflicts in the society while looking at the society with philosophical evaluations. For example, the series of global conferences, TED, which started off with the slogan ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, published Ads Worth Spreading list in its 3rd year. These consisted of the most effective 10 advertising films of the previous year. Advertisements provide a large spectrum from social responsibility projects to inspiring projects and from entertaining works to advertisements proposing complex ideas. In these advertisements, properties such as innovation and encouragement, etc. are rewarded. These advertisements are not the advertisements of the capitalist system which instigate over-consumption, but they are the advertisements which see the social issues, conflicts and contradictions, and emphasize and question those issues. The most powerful, well-known, and successful advertising agencies are in an elite position in these evaluations. For example, we can mention ‘Young and Rubicam’ and ‘Saatchi and Saatchi’. Another view which the advertisements studied in this paper are based on was the post-modern society evaluations of Baudrillard. He proposed the term simulation to show that the post-modern world took the place of the real and concrete as a virtual-reality. The philosopher emphasized at this point that the post-modern society became a world of images and signs. According to Baudrillard, revolution and freedom are structures that entrap the individuals in an array of simulation. Noteworthy advertisements of the advertising companies selected by The Top Consolidated Agency Net Works in 2013 by Estimated World Wide Revenues will be analyzed according to the views of the contemporary philosophy thinkers.Evaluations were made in accordance with the conflicts and contradictions in the society by approaching through the windows of concepts, ideas and designs created in the 21st century world by the creative and skilled designers of these companies.Study: was completed with the review of the literature, watching and analyzing the advertisements, and discussing and examining them through the philosophical accumulation created by the era. In this respect, the views of the expert views as well as the views of the average audience of the consumer society were included in the study. Conclusion: The study tried to answer the question “In line with the social conflict, contradiction, and changes, can advertisements be extraordinary despite being in the capitalist production system?”  Keywords: Communication, advertising, ads worth spreading, philosophy, critics, show society.
