The study purpose. This study aims to develop a volleyball fundamental movement learning model with a game-centered approach and test its effectiveness in improving the volleyball learning outcomes of elementary school students Materials and methods. The research method used is research and development (R&D) which adopts the10 steps of Borg and Gall R&D model. The data analysis techniques used in this study were qualitative and quantitative. This study used a pretest-posttest control group design to determine the initial abilities of the experimental and the control group (n = 40). The significance test of the learning model effectiveness used a t-test. Normality test was carried out before the data analysis on the results of the experimental group and the control group improvement in the fundamental movement of volleyball with the significance level = 0.05. Results. The results of this study indicate a significant improvement for the experimental group data (0.97) and the control group data (0.42). Because the significance value of the two groups is more than 0.05, the overall data for the study group is normally distributed. The learning model effectiveness test results show the value of t-count -71.065. Conclusions. The fundamental movement improvement of the experimental group is higher or more effective than that of the control group. So it can be concluded that the volleyball fundamental movement learning model with a game-centered approach is effective and efficient to be given to elementary school students.

In this 21st–century, students are expected to have current competencies in which one of them is science process skills. The aim of this research was to empower science process skills through the SETS-based guided experiment book. This Posttest Only Control Group Design study involved 50 students of fifth grade which divided into two groups i.e. 25 students as the experimental group and 25 students as the control group. The activities were carried out for three months outside of school. The empowerment of science process skills was measured from the increasing scores before and after the implementation of the SETS Guided Experiment Book. The results showed that there was a significant different between experimental group and control group as the significancy value was 0.01 (sig. < 0.05). This means that the SETS-based guided experiment book can empower Science process skill of elementary school students.

<p>The purpose of this research are: (1). To find out whether there is an influence "Teaching Games for Understanding Models" in physical Education on the character of the responsibility of fourth grade elementary school students. (2). To find out how much influence the "Teaching Games for Understanding Model" at physical education learning on understanding the Responsibility Attitude of fourth grade children in elementary school. This type of research uses the quasi experiment method in the form of pretest-posttes non equivalent control-group design.<br />The research subjects used in this study were fourth grade students of Klumprit 3 Mojolaban Elementary School. Sukoharjo The size of the study subjects was 27 students. The technique of collecting data is using questionnaire responsibility that has been developed from Don Hellison (1995) through a valid and reliable question instrument with Cronbach's Alpha: 0.921. The data analysis technique used in this study used the Wilcoxon difference test to see the gain score of the pretest and posttest. The results of data analysis can be concluded that: (1). There is a significant effect between the Application of the TGfU Learning Model to the Responsibility of 4th grade elementary school students. It is obtained that the calculated Z value for the TGfU Learning Model is -4,543 with a significance value of 0,000 because the significance value is lower than 0.05, the null hypothesis number is rejected, from the research conducted, the hypothesis is accepted. (2).<br />From the description of the data it was seen that the average pre test results of 50.9630 and post tets were 67.4815, thus there was an increase in the influence of the application of the TGfU model on student Responsibility by 16, 52.</p>

This study examines the trial of treffinger learning models on mathematics subjects in elementary school students of SD 37 Model Parepare. The aim of this study was to find out whether there is an influence of Treffinger learning model on mathematics learning outcomes of students of SD Negeri 37 Model Parepare. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research and uses the Quasy Experimental design in the form of The Nonequivalent Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a sample of 67 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests in the form of multiple choices, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics. The results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test test obtained significance of 0.00 (0.00 <0.05) and the results of the analysis of the t test obtained values - tcount <- t table (-17.999 <-2.037) indicate that H0 is rejected which means there are differences in the average mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students 37 Model Parepare between before and after the use of the Treffinger learning model. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Treffinger learning model influences the mathematics learning outcomes of students of SD Negeri 37 Model Parepare.

This study aims to know significant differences in the competence of speaking skill in Indonesian between groups of students who were taught by role playing learning model aided text dialogue and groups of students who were taught by conventional learning at IV grade Elementary School students of Gugus Budi Utomo academic year of 2017/2018. This research was a quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent post-test only control group design. The population of this research is all IV grade Elementary School students of Gugus Budi Utomo, amounting to 315 students. The sample was determined using group sample technique. The sample in this research is the students of IVB grade Elementary School students 6 Kesiman amounting to 31 students as experimental group and IV grade Elementary School students 14 Kesiman amounting to 38 students as control group.The instrument for collecting data is the scoring rubric. The data obtained were analyzed by t-test. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant difference of competence of speaking skill in Indonesian between group of students who were taught by role playinglearning model aided text dialogue and groups of students who were taught by conventional learning at IV grade Elementary School students of Gugus Budi Utomo academic year of 2017/2018. This is evidenced by the result = 3,81 > = 2,00 at 5% significance level and dk = 67. The average score competence of speaking skill in Indonesian experimental group = 85,00 >= 76,45 control group. It can be concluded that there is influence of role playing learning model aided text dialogue to competence of speaking skill in Indonesian of IV grade Elementary School students of Gugus Budi Utomo academic year of 2017/2018

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui, pengaruh Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik dan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik pada tema peristiwa alam semester genap kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung kota Parepare tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian eksperimen semu dengan nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest design ini mengandung satu variabel bebas dan dua variabel terikat. Variabel bebas adalah Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) tematik sedangkan variabel terikat adalah karakter kejujuran dan disiplin. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas I SDN di Kecamatan Ujung Kota Parepare. Sampel dipilih dengan tekhnik purposive sampling, sehingga didapat tiga kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Kelompok eksperimen 1 dan kelompok eksperimen 2 diberi perlakuan menggunakan SSP tematik, dan kelompok kontrol diberi perlakuan menggunakan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik angket dan teknik observasi. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik observasi digunakan untuk mengungkap perilaku karakter kejujuran dan disiplin peserta didik. Teknik analisis data digunakan adalah Analisys of Variance (ANOVA) dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian ini adalah SSP tematik secara signifkan berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan karakter kejujuran peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik yang tidak menggunakan SSP tematik diperoleh p < α yaitu p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 dengan F = 27,890; dan karakter disiplin peserta didik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tematik diperoleh p < α yaitu p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 dengan F= 9,294.Kata kunci: Subject Specific Pedagogy tematik, kejujuran, disiplinThe effect of SSP thematic on the increase of characters honesty and discipline of grade 1 elementary school students AbstractThe objective of this study was to determine the different effect between Subject Specific Pedagogy (SSP) thematic and those are not using SSP thematic on students’ characters honesty and discipline, for phenomenon nature theme of grade I of second semester in elementary school students in the academic year of 2013/2014.This is a quasi experimental research with pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design consisting of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The population comprised year X grade 1 elementary school student in Parepare City Sub-district Ujung. A sample of three classes was established using purposive sampling technique. The first experimental class and second experimental class was taught by using SSP thematic, and the control class was taught using the those are not using SSP thematic. The data were collected through observation and questionnaire. The questionnaire technique was the used to know the student’s characters honesty and discipline value. The observation technique was used to express student of characters honesty and discipline behavior. The data were analyzed of variance (ANOVA) test for the significance level of 0.05.The result of this study is SSP thematic significantly positive effects on student’s increase of characters honesty compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p < α that is p = 0,000 < α = 0.05 with F = 27.890; and SSP thematic significantly positive effects on students increase of characters discipline compared to those are not using SSP thematic the results showed p < α that is p = 0,000 < α = 0.05 with F = 9.294. Physical education program for sport and health allocates four lesson hour of which each hour consists of 35 minutes in one week. It requires an innovative and efficient learning model in order to improve physical fitness, honesty, discipline, and cooperation. The researcher developes a circuit training learning model in the from circuit games which is a modified form of circuit training. The study aim to examine the effectiveness of the circuit training learning model in improving physical fitness, honesty, discipline, and cooperation in students of Elementary School Sidoarjo. The type of research used is quantitative and qualitative by using research and development method, and data analysis using ANOVA. The data collection process is carried out by pre-test and post-test and then the results of the research data are analyzed using SPSS series 2.0. The results of the study shows (1) the sig value of 0,011 smaller than the 0,05 ( p< 0,05 ), meaning that there is the difference in the results of the TKJ I test on groups of students who are not treated compared to the group of students who are given the learning model. (2) the average group of students who are not given the treatment (control group) is 12,50 while for the group of students         given treatment (experimental group) is 15,15, meaning that there is an increase in test results againts the experimental group at 45%, (4) there is an increase in the observations of the discipline attitude from the control group compared to the experimental group at 35 %, (5) there is an increase in the observations of the discipline attitudes of the control group compared to the experimental group at 55%. Based on the above analysis it can be cocluded that the circuit training learning model can improve physical fitness and cultivate honesty, discipline and cooperattion in students of Elementary School.

<p><em>The aims of this study was to look at the effect of healthy breakfast education with Islamic Comic Media on the level of knowledge of elementary school students. This study was a quasi-experimental type with pre-posttest control group design. The</em><em> </em><em>sampling </em><em>w</em><em>a</em><em>s </em><em>simple random method as many as </em><em>64</em><em> students, group A was given islamic comic media (n=32) and group </em><em>B </em><em>as control of the group (n=32). Nutrition knowledge level</em><em> </em><em>were obtained from filling out questionnaires. The influence of nutritional education media on increasing knowledge</em><em> </em><em>in </em><em>both</em><em> groups analyzed by Wilcoxon test, and continued with the Mann Whitney test.</em><em> The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the level of knowledge in islamic comic group (p = 0,000). There is the influence of giving Islamic comic </em><em>about healthy breakfast</em><em> </em><em>to </em><em>elementary school-age </em><em>students' knowledge.</em></p>

The unbalanced eating behavior of school-age children is influenced by the level of nutritional knowledge. The purpose of this research is to analyze the comparison of media education with videos and pop-up books on the knowledge of balanced nutrition guidelines for elementary school students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The total sample used in the study was 90 students who were taken by probability sampling and then divided into two groups, 45 students were given education with video media (P1) and 45 students were educated with pop-up book media (P2). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test with a significant level of 0.05. The results obtained are that there is a difference in the level of knowledge of the pop-up book group before and after education (p=0.0001) and there is no difference in the level of knowledge of the video group before and after education (p=1.00). Pop-up book media is more effective in increasing students' knowledge level of balanced nutrition compared to video, so pop-up book media can be an alternative media used to provide education to elementary school students.

ABSTRACT Reading comprehension is a competence that everyone has to possess. It can broaden human’s insight in that we will not be left behind as time goes so fast. One of the teachers’ efforts as to enhance the reading comprehension competence is to apply a learning model that is able to explore a lot of students’ potency. The learning model considered to be capable of developing the students’ creative-thinking is a generative model. Based on the result of data analysis, it is known that the process of reading-comprehension learning runs well in full activity of students. The students’ tendency to the learning of reading comprehension using such a model is positive in the means of 75.10%. The generative learning model succeeds in enhancing the students’ competence of reading comprehension. The means of score before the treatment is only 53.80%, whereas after the treatment it gets 72% in which the index gain is 0.41 and it is categorized into mediocre. There is difference of reading-comprehension competence between the use of generative learning model and conventional model. It is proven by t-test, indicating that t-observed is higher than t-table. Therefore, the generative learning model is effective and reasonable to use for the teachers in the improvement of stduents’ reading-comprehension competence.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Apakah pelatihan bunyi huruf efektif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada Siswa kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar. Pelatihan Bunyi Huruf ini mengacu pada teori Phonological Awareness dari Torgessen dan Wagner (1998) Phonological Awarenes adalah sensitivitas atau kesadaran eksplisit seseorang yang meliputi kemampuan mendengar, melihat, memikirkan atau memanipulasi struktur bunyi dari kata-kata dalam bahasanya. Subyek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 12 siswa kelas 1 SD yang belum lancar membaca. Siswa tersebut dibagi mejadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan sebagai test yang pada pretest dan postest adalah EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment). Pelatihan Bunyi Huruf dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan, dan hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan skor kemampuan membaca yang sangat signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen setelah diberikan pelatihan bunyi huruf. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan bunyi huruf terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa sekolah dasar. This study aims to find out whether effective letter sound training can improve initial reading skills in Grade 1 Elementary School students. This Letter Sound Training refers to the Phonological Awareness theory of Torgessen and Wagner (1998) Phonological Awareness is the sensitivity or explicit awareness of a person which includes the ability to hear, see, think or manipulate the sound structure of words in the language. The subjects in this study were 12 grade 1 elementary school students who had not read fluently. The students were divided into 2 groups, namely the control group and the experimental group. The data collection tool used as a test at the pre-test and post-test was EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment). Letter Sounding Training was conducted in 8 meetings, and the results of the study showed a very significant increase in the reading ability score in the experimental group after being given letter sound training. It was concluded that letter sound training proved effective in improving the ability of elementary school students
