ABSTRAKSI: Pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan kepada penyampaian materi pembelajaran kepada siswa, yang berupa ekspositori, inkuiri, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir, pembelajaran koperatif, pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran afektif, dan pendekatan ilmiah. Pembentukan karakter siswa yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pilar pendidikan nasional adalah merujuk pada pengolahan nilai dalam kawasan pikiran, perasaan, fisik atau raga, dan pengolahan hati yang menjadi spirit dalam menggerakan pikiran, perasaan, dan kemauan; atau dikenal dengan istilah olah-pikir, olah-rasa, olah-hati, dan olah-raga. Pembentukan karakter siswa juga harus dikembangkan, antara lain, karakter toleransi dan cinta damai untuk lebih ditonjolkan, karena kemajemukan bangsa dan negara Indonesia. Nilai kejujuran dan tanggung jawab juga sangat urgen di saat bangsa Indonesia kini tengah menghadapi berbagai kasus korupsi. Dengan menggunakan metode dan pendekatan kualitatif, serta studi literatur atau kepustakaan, artikel ini mencoba mengelaborasi tentang pembelajaran inovatif dan kaitannya dengan pembentukan karakter siswa. Didalamnya dikaji dan dianalisis tentang Pembelajaran Inovatif; Pembentukan Karakter Siswa; serta Gerakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Indonesia.KATA KUNCI: Pembelajaran Inovatif; Pembentukan Karakter Siswa; Gerakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Indonesia. ABSTRACT: “Innovative Learning in Forming the Student Characters”. Innovative learning in the schools is a learning strategy that emphasizes the delivery of learning material to students, in the form of expository, inquiry, problem-based learning, increased thinking ability, cooperative learning, contextual learning, affective learning, and scientific approaches. The formation of student character that needs to be developed in the pillar of national education is referring to the processing of values in the domains of mind, feeling, physical, and processing of the heart, which becomes the spirit of moving thoughts, feelings, and will; or known as thought, taste, care, and exercise. The formation of student character must also be developed, among others, the character of tolerance and peace of mind to be more highlighted, because of the diversity of the nation and state of Indonesia. The value of honesty and responsibility is also very urgent, when the Indonesian nation currently is facing various the corruption cases. By using qualitative methods and approaches, as well as literature studies or reviews, this article tries to elaborate on innovative learning and its relation to student character formation. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of biology teaching through inquiry integrated with cooperative towards the critical thinking ability. This research addresses the role of inquiry and cooperative learning strategy as well as these interactions towards the increase of the critical thinking ability. Quasi experimental research of Pretest-postest nonequivalent control group design with factorial design 2x2x2 were implemented on the odd semester in academic years of 2006/2007  on X grade student of the state SMA in Metro City Lampung. The  research sample consists of 96 students, comprising of student from high and low academic abilities. To examine hypothesis, it is used Ancova technique and continued by LSD test. There was a difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by inquiry level 1 with student who learn by inquiry level 2, between students, who have high academic ability and students who have low academic ability, and there was not difference on the critical thinking ability  between students who learn by STAD cooperative  with student who learn by TPS. There is no effect of interaction between inquiry with cooperative, inquiry with student’s academic ability, cooperative with student’s academic ability, inquiry with cooperative and student’s academic ability towards the cognitive achievement Kata kunci: cooperative learning, inquiry, berpikir kritis

An afford to chose the right teaching and learning strategy in the teaching of chemistry topic is very crusial as it is known that chemistry knowledge and skills are involveed. The teaching and learning paradigm have to be ajusted to support the enactment of competence curriculum suited to Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia, KKNI). The policy has been stated in Universitas Negeri Medan to adopt KKNI curiculum, including in Analytrical Chemistry. Therefore, innovation in the teaching and learning have to be made for all subjects in the implementation of a competence-based curriculum suited to KKNI. The aim of the research is to implement an innovative learning material with project to improve students’ performance in the teaching of complexometric titration topic of Analytrical Chemistry. The research steps are consisted of providing sets of mini project on complexometric titration topic, innovation of a learning package with multimedia, and implementation of innovative learning material as learning media in the class. Research results showed that a standard and innovative learning package containing of mini projects for complexometric titration topic have been developed suited to the KKNI curriculum. The project example and the video to do the projects that are provided in the learning package are found effective to guide the students to do the desire project. Integration of multimedia in the learning package has motivated the students to learn the topic and make chemistry easy to learn. An innovative learning material with project has been proved to be able to improve students performance in analytical chemistry procedures. The facility available in a learning package adequate to guide the student to learn chemistry independently and students centre learning style was achieved.

Researchers interested in lifting the title "Strategy for Educational Institutions in the Development of Character Education at SDN Sidobinangun Deket Lamongan" because it is motivated by the realities of the modern era such as this age is more distant from the character values and the loss of public awareness of education only demanding duties and responsibilities of the rights the right of students to be met by teachers, as well as improving the quality of education in Indonesia as stated in School Organization character. The purpose of this study is to investigate to find out, how the strategy Educational Institutions in the development of character education in SDN Sidobinangun Deket Lamongan. To find out the problem and get the data is clear about the factors supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of character education in SDN Sidobinangun, here the author uses qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques and information through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed, strategy adopted by SDN Sidobinangun is, using four kinds of elements as well as a contributing factor, the First, the role of the School component. Secondly, applying the method and the insistence in teaching and learning activities. Third, development of syllabus and lesson plans. and Fourth, planting through self development activities. and that makes reference to factors inhibiting the development of character education that is based on research conducted by Sa'dun Akbar, which means overcoming that by optimizing the performance or the role of the school component and utilization methods and innovative learning model attractive, developing syllabus and RPP are not escaped from the minimum standard, which decides to by the National Education Standards Agency, and through a variety of activities that have been formulated Schools.

The purpose of Qiro'ah (reading) lessons is to train students to be able to understand texts individually. The application of an exciting and enjoyable learning strategy by a Lecturer that involves students actively in the process of understanding the reading content, either independently or in groups. Current learning models such as contextual learning and cooperative learning can also be adapted for learning to read. Improving students' Qiro'ah (reading) mastery results is a general objective of this study with a cooperative dancing type approach. The specific objectives of this study are (1) Describe the Qiro'ah learning process (reading) use of the bamboo dancing method of PBA students at IAIM NU Metro, and (2) Describe the results of increasing mastery of Qiro'ah learning (reading) of PBA students ) use of the bamboo dancing method. The design uses PTK with John Elliot Models. PBA third semester students are the subjects in this study. Information about the activities of lecturers and students and the results of the initial and final test scores in each cycle is the data in this study. Test questions, observation sheets, and interview guidelines are the instruments used in this study. Using steps is collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and concluding research results. Whereas Planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting are the stages in this research. The results of the application of Qiro'ah learning using the bamboo dancing method in this study are the increased mastery of understanding in reading texts that is significant from each cycle and the initial tests before the action. The average grade on the initial test before action is 67 increased in cycle 1 79 as well as increasing again in cycle 2 91. So, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the understanding of students' Qiro'ah texts in each cycle.

ABSTRACTCharacter education is very necessary for the realization of national education goals. Over time, it is necessary to instill social caring character education since early age is a very important period of development in human life. Thus it is necessary to develop socially caring character education through learning role playing methods. The purpose of this study is to; Developing a character education model through the role playing method in TK Tunas Mekar Indonesia (TMI) Bandar Lampung. This study uses research and development methods with the following steps; (a) needs analysis, (b) planning includes compiling RPPM and RPPH (c) determining elements of character education; (d) collect learning material; (e) compile a model draft, (f) validation, (g) model revision, (h) model trial; and (i) product improvement. Data collection instruments used are; (1) questionnaire, (2) discussion, (3) interview. The data analysis technique that is carried out is quantitative descriptive analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. This research produced a social caring character education model.Keywords: Character Education Model, Social Care, Role Playing.

Education today needs to be responsive to the diverse needs of our learners in order to make them globally competent. Innovative initiatives need to be brought into the present education system in order to meet the growing demands of our society. Our education system does not function in isolation with our society and so, along with academic aspects, the social aspects of learning too, have to be focussed on. This is possible with quality teaching strategies being introduced in our teaching learning process and one such strategy promoting the same is Cooperative Learning. Cooperative learning involves students working together in small groups to accomplish shared goals. It is widely recognized as a teaching strategy that promotes socialization and learning among students from kindergarten through college and across different subjects and science is no exception. Science enables pupils to be involved in group work where they have the opportunity to share ideas and cooperate with each other in collaborative practical activity. What is needed today is a new wave of educated students ready for modern scientific research, teaching and technological development. With students of diverse abilities and differing rates of learning in our classrooms, it is, therefore, essential for the teacher to have the knowledge of how students learn science and how best to teach. The present study was taken up in this context to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning strategy in science teaching.
