Information technology is proliferating and drives the learning process toward e-learning. At the moment, people can learn from their gadget through learning sites, applications, or games. However, to improve users’ motivation, e-learning must be appealing. Researchers have introduced the concept of gamification to make learning more entertaining. The primary purpose of this research is to understand how the proposed gamification elements using Mechanics, Dynamics, and Aesthetics (MDA) framework improve users' motivation and learning outcomes in English learning. For this research, we use 6-11 framework defining six aspects of emotion and eleven aspects of instinct. We collected users’ scores then analyzed them by using a t-test. We also used a questionnaire to access the users' experience. The results suggest that most of the respondents are motivated to learn more deeply. We conclude that the proposed gamification elements improve users' motivation and learning outcomes.

Aim/Purpose: This study intends to find out the difference between the use of Schoology-based e-learning and conventional learning by integrating character education in the learning process Background: E-learning has a high contribution to change learning process positively, but it is a big challenge to conduct character education through e-learning, because of the reduced intensity of face-to-face with lecturers as the primary role model. Methodology: The research sample consisted of 55 students of Electrical Engineering Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Muria Kudus. This study involved two variables: the experimental variable and the dependent variable. Experimental variables are treatment variables for the experimental class, namely physics learning through Schoology-based e-learning, and treatment variables for the control class used as a comparison, namely, conventional learning. The dependent variable is ANEKA-based character education. Indicators of ANEKA character values are integrated into the learning process and are measured using a Likert scale, which is given at the beginning and end of learning in the control and experimental classes. The normality testing use the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method; the homogeneity test use Levene’s test; and hypotheses testing use F-ANOVA test and paired samples t-test. Contribution: Contributions of this study are character education for students that could be done through e-learning by integrating character value (such as ANEKA) into the way they learn. Findings: The results of the study show the student learning outcomes of Schoology-based e-learning platform users by 16% higher compared to conventional learning. The character values of students using e-learning also higher 20% compared to conventional learning. So it can be said that learning physics by using Schoology-based e-learning, which is integrated with ANEKA-based character education, can improve character values and student learning outcomes. Recommendations for Practitioners: Findings from this research can convince the lecturer to integrate character values of ANEKA to their subject through e-learning Recommendation for Researchers: For researchers, it is necessary to develop more scope including the use of other subjects and other study program students as respondents in the further study Impact on Society: ANEKA character values could be integrated into the learning process, which can improve students’ attitudes in their daily life Future Research: Research on practicality and effectiveness in developing Schoology-based e-learning in other courses by integrating character values

During distance learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic, learning evaluation must still be carried out. There are many ways and evaluation tools that teachers can use in carrying out learning evaluations. One of them is the thematic learning module. This is because the module does not only contain learning materials, but there are learning evaluation materials in it. This study aims to determine the use of thematic modules as a learning evaluation tool. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique in this research is by interviewing several teachers in elementary schools in Bandung. The results of the research based on the results of the interviews show that at this time learning is carried out remotely, teachers really need modules, because modules are needed as interesting teaching materials and help students understand learning material. Furthermore, at this time, the module is often used by teachers in distance learning, apart from being an additional teaching material, the module is also used as a learning evaluation tool. Because according to the teacher, the modules in it not only contain learning material, but there are also evaluation questions. The conclusion that can be obtained is that teachers really need modules when learning takes place, especially when learning is carried out remotely, because it is hoped that using thematic modules will help students learn independently and understand learning material, as well as the results of evaluating student learning outcomes through modules can be achieved properly.
