The increasing embeddedness of the jihad feminist within the Islamic State’s (ISIS) operations is eliciting works on the role of women in terrorism. However, there is yet to be a more constructive analysis that adequately accounts for the luring of Muslim women into the ISIS as a justification of the patriarchal beliefs and oppressive social systems. This paper is among the first attempts to draw on the Jihad Feminism Theory (JFT) to develop a conceptual discourse that explains the causal relationship between jihad feminist fighters and promotion of patriarchal practices and beliefs within the ISIS. Far from standing against any forms of Western feminization- as espoused by the ISS- , the paper argues that jihad feminism has further subverted Muslim women to sedentary roles within the ISIS as a way of sustaining the organisations’ operations and existence.

Historically, the status of women was very low all over the world however Islam is the only religion which help in changing the status of women and improve her status in the society. This paper explores the lives of Muslim women in the period of early Islamic society which reveals that these women gave the lesson of virtue, piety, devotion and sacrifice to every women and daughter of Islam. These ladies bore exemplary moral character, and in performance of their responsibilities they sacrificed their luxuries, comforts and happiness. Following footprints of these ladies can make every daughter a proud human being.

Zaynab al-Ghazālī (1917-2005) is regarded as a pioneering figure in the field of women’s preaching and religious teaching in Egypt. Her story, however, remains largely undocumented. In Western scholarship, al-Ghazālī has often been framed in terms of a contradictory figure, whose own choices flagrantly undercut her statements on the role of women in Islamic society. Trying to go beyond this type of appraisal, her writings are analyzed in order to question whether or not Zaynab al-Ghazālī’s intellectual genealogy should be understood within the context of her considerable exposure to a well-developed discourse of women’s rights at the turn of the twentieth century. Indeed, she made available to Muslim women a particular field of arguments, while foreclosing for them certain possibilities for action. Overall, her statements and choices in life need to be read as a function of her historical and geographical context and her positioning needs to be framed within the consciousness on the role women had come to play in the public domain.

The role of Muslim women in early childhood education is very urgent in education because women are the first source of knowledge for children. There are many supporting and inhibiting factors for the role of Muslim women executors. This study aims to find the role of female educators in Islam as a dual function that functions as a teacher, parent, and community member. The research method uses qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The findings show the role of Muslim women is not ideal, including the role of women as educators in schools, parents, and education experts. Women's awareness of  early childhood education is still very low. Suggestions for future research to dig deeper into the causes of the role of women is still low, and influence government policy in increasing the role of Muslim women or non-Muslim women. This research sought show the active role of Muslim women in preserving and documenting the Hadith in promoting the most important pillars of worship (purity), ie purity, and explain their legal status and obligations towards Muslims. This study tackles the legitimate pluralism of purity in different situations, thus enhancing the talk about the role of Muslim women (Umm al-Mu'minin). Umm Salama: (Hind bint Abi Umayyah) in memorizing the hadiths of the Prophet peace be upon him, which relied on several ways in the tabulation of scientific truth separately according to the narratives based in the book (Maram, which examines the provisions of Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani), this study has achieved several Objectives, including highlighting the role of women in the codification of the hadith. This is mentioned in many books of the year, where most of them were specifically combining the provisions and interpretation, literature, supplications, and others, and these books focused on the provisions of purity and worship mentioned by Ibn Hajar al-Ashqalani in his book (Achieving Maram provisions of proof) and includes four responses to the talks to the purity of Umm Salamah, Which includes all positions in purity, such as washing janaabah, menstruation and rituals, and the rule of eating and drinking vessels of gold and silver, as the research methodology consists of summary, introduction, and keywords and theory.

Labelling perempuan dalam majalah remaja merupakan salah satu tindakan media yang merugikan perempuan. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis mengkaji label-label perempuan, bentuk labelling, analisis teori feminisme psikoanalisis terhadap labelling untuk perempuan dalam majalah remaja. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode semiotik dan penelitian dilakukan terhadap majalah Olga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktek pelabelan terhadap perempuan yang dilakukan oleh majalah remaja ditujukan untuk remaja perempuan dilakukan dengan empat kode yaitu tubuh seksi dan wajah cantik, pentingnya penampilan bagi perempuan, kondisi psikologis perempuan yang labil, dan peran domestik perempuan. Label-label ini dapat membentuk persepsi masyarakat tentang perempuan dan mengandung konsekuensi pengharapan kepada perempuan. Penelitian ini menguatkan lagi tesis bahwa perempuan sering menjadi objek pelabelan. Label-label ini berasal dari kehidupan sosial perempuan dan diinternalisasi oleh perempuan.Labelling in woman in teenagers magazine is one of the mass media strategy that can harm woman. Even though women normally do not recognize it. The purpose of this research is to describe the labelling practices in media analysed with the psychoanalysis feminism theory. The research method used is semiotics and the research is conducted on Olga! maganize. Result from the research shows that  the labelling targets teenagers through four labelling codes: sexy body and beautiful face; the importance physical performance for women; unconsistent psycological condition; and domestic role of women. This label constructs society perception on  woman. The study strengthen a thesis that woman tends to be a labelling object. These labels are developped from women’s social life and are internalized by women

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah perkembangan isu gender yang mewarnai tiga novel karya Korrie Layun Rampan terutama dalam mempresentasikan peran gender laki-­‐laki dan perempuan. Masalah ini lebih ditujukan pada peran perempuan di bidang domestik dan ruang publik. Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keberadaan karya sastra dan persoalan‐persoalan yang terjadi dalam masyarakat, khususnya yang timbul dalam konteks gender. Kajian ini menggunakan teori feminisme sebagai acuan dalam mengungkap citra perempuan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode pustaka, sedangkan analisisnya menggunakan teknik analitis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga novel Korrie Layun Rampan itu memenuhi prinsip-­‐prinsip karya yang berjenis feminisme karena tokoh perempuan dalam ketiga novel itu adalah perempuan Dayak yang sudah tercitrakan sebagai perempuan tradisional dan modern. Namun, sosok mereka masih berbenturan dengan tradisi budaya Dayak yang menganut paham patriarkat. Selain itu, terjadi kekerasan terhadap perempuan di ruang domestik maupun publik sehingga terdapat perbedaan antara perempuan dan laki‐laki yang membentuk stereotip atau pelabelan negatif. Abstract: This research focuses on the growth of gender issues colouring three masterpiece novels of Korrie Layun Rampan, especially in presenting the role of gender among women and men. This problem is addressed more on the role of women in the domestic area and also public space. This paper aims to describe the existence of belles-lettres and problems happening in a society, especially those emerging in the context of gender. The study uses feminism theory in revealing the woman image so that feminism studies used for the elaboration. Librarian method was used in collecting the data. The analysis used the analytical technique so that the role of woman in novels of Upacara, Api Awan Asap, and Bunga in the form of gender can be depicted clearly. The result of this research is that the three novels can be considered as or have fulfilled the principles of being feminism type. It is because the roles of figures in those novels are women of Dayak imaged as modern and traditional women. However, their figures still oppose the cultural tradition of Dayak which still practices patriarchalism. Besides, violence still happen to women in public and also domestic area so that there are differences among men and women which form negative labels or stereotypes. This study aims to determine and analyze women's choices in the novel First Sight. This research focuses on the role of women who have high careers, and at the same time have feminine characteristics in themselves. Post-feminism theory is used to analyze elements related to women's choices in novels. This novel tells the story of a successful woman who tries to face and transcend her past in love as the background of the story. It shows the point of view of a successful woman in conquering her fears and getting her soul mate. Through this novel, Danielle Steel teaches us that women can have high careers and at the same time apply femininity to themselves. On the other hand, Steel also wants to answer women's concerns about women and mothers who have high careers in society.

Abstract: Law, instead as the basis of national agrarian management, also as sources of agrarian conflict because of conflicted regulations. Many academic papers on agrarian conflicts have described the conflicts, as well as women’s narrative regarding the conflicts. This article explore the theoretical discourse during agrarian conflict to analyze women’s role on that case. This paper is written based on secondary data gathered from juridical normative research with analytical descriptive type. The research found that main legal theoretical discourses presented mostly in on agrarian conflicts literatures are legal positivism, politics of law, legal reality, natural law, sociological jurisprudence, legal pluralism, local wisdom, and eco-feminism. The role of women during agrarian conflicts is explained using eco-feminism theory, particularly as agent of change who actively fight for non-exploitative agrarian management based on their experience.Key words: women, agrarian conflict, eco-feminism.Intisari: Hukum, selain sebagai dasar penyelenggaraan agraria nasional juga menjadi sumber konflik agraria karena pengaturan yang tumpang tindih. Tulisan-tulisan akademik tentang konflik agraria tidak hanya menjelaskan tentang konflik yang berlangsung, tetapi juga menuliskan narasi perempuan dalam konflik tersebut. Tulisan ini menggali wacana-wacana teori yang muncul dalam konflik agraria untuk menganalisis peran perempuan dalam konflik agraria. Data sekunder dalam tulisan ini diperoleh dari penelitian yuridis normatif yang bersifat deskriptif analitis. Wacana-wacana teori yang muncul dalam konflik agraria adalah teori hukum positif, teori politik hukum, teori realitas hukum, teori hukum alam, sociological jurisprudence, pluralisme hukum, teori kearifan lokal, dan teori ekofeminisme. Teori yang menjelaskan peran perempuan dalam konflik agraria adalah teori ekofeminisme. Peran perempuan dalam konflik agraria adalah sebagai agen perubahan yang berperan secara aktif memperjuangkan pengelolaan agraria non-eksploitatif berdasarkan pengalaman masing-masing perempuan.Kata kunci: perempuan, konflik agraria, ekofeminisme.

This paper examines the role of women in the education of children in the Islamic perspective that the role of women against children is very large in the formation of future generations. Given the magnitude of opportunities and opportunities of women as a mother role in initiating the process of education of children from an early age. The potential and ability of Muslim women is very influential to shape the colors and patterns of future generations of Muslims. Therefore, as a woman is expected to have a love that manifestly manifests in the way of raising, hugging, meet needs and make friends with children. Therefore women should seek to be a smart woman as a provision to educate their children, because a smart mother will give birth to intelligent children. Creating a great generation there are points that need to be a record for a woman to be played to her child that is aqidah, morals and prayers. Then the intelligence, tenacity, and the mother's temperament is the dominant factor for the child's future. That is the word of the wise man of old, If there are men who become scholars, scholar, prominent figures or warrior heroes, See who their mother is. Because Mother has a big role in shaping one's character and knowledge. Therefore, the mother is the center of children's education.

Abstract Research on Muslim divorce practices in Europe often focuses exclusively on male Islamic authority, neglecting the role of women. This article compares the Islamic divorce practice of two female Islamic authorities with that of nineteen male Islamic authorities to demonstrate that women have important roles in relation to Islamic divorce. It also analyses how the two Danish female informants, Zaynab and Aisha, function as highly specialised volunteer social workers, referring Muslim women to shelters and guiding them through their Islamic divorce. Thus, the article points out a vacuum in the services provided by the Danish state – the lack of knowledge about conflicts relating to Islamic divorce – which makes professional social workers a less relevant option for Muslim women experiencing nikah-captivity (marital captivity within an Islamic symbolic frame of reference).
