The brain movement of a general paralysis patient is normal even if the nerve cells that connect the brain and muscles are damaged and the body movement is hindered. When these patients live alone and cannot perform daily activities, they lose the motivation to live, their brains become dull, and their self-esteem degrades. Therefore, a method should be developed such that these patients can perform brain exercises on their own. The development of a maze-finding game based on mutual cooperation using electroencephalography (EEG) for patients with general paralysis is described herein. Paralyzed Patient 1 can view an overview map and identify the path to a destination. When this is sent to Paralyzed Patient 2 through brain waves, direction indications appear on the screen viewed by Patient 2. Patient 2 verifies the signal conveyed by Patient 1 and controls the character in the perceived direction using brain wave signals. In this game, EGG data through the EPOC+ device of Emotiv Co. are collected, and the maze game implemented by the patient’s EEG signal can be played. Excitement and interest arise when two people collaborate compared with when they are playing games in solitude. This finding suggests that paralyzed patients can exercise their own brain without any assistance, enabling them to experience more enjoyment in life and improve their self-image compared with when they are collaborating and interacting with assistants.

Healthcare systems are a very important part of the economy of any country and for the public health. The IoT-based monitoring system for patients with paralysis, which helps to promote the health condition of a patient with paralysis, in addition to the day-to-day life. India has suffered a stroke, the incidence is much higher than that of the more developed countries, it is home to around 2.1 million Indians suffered from the boom of the (lame) per year. If a patient is suffering from a paralysis attack in all or any part of the body can be turned off in order to move in, which means that their movement is restricted and they can barely communicate with anyone at all, because they can't talk like a normal person. Raccoons will find it difficult to understand what they are saying, and help them deal with their day-to-day needs, such as food, water, etc.). At present, work is in progress on the review of the motion parameters on the legs, arms, and head of the paralytics. This paper investigates the development of an integrated and portable prototype is a model of a system for the monitoring of the various movements of the body, spinal cord injuries, with the help of sensors. The tests were carried out by placing the sensors on the head, arm, and leg of the paralyzed patient the data received from these sensors are sent to the raspberry pi 3 model. In the Android app, you'll receive a verbal warning, and if the patient is in need of help via Bluetooth, which, in turn, is connected to the raspberry pi.

There is probably no disease in regard to which our views have undergone so radical a change during the past few years as general paralysis of the insane, and none in which the discovery of the causative agent has been followed by so rapid a revolution in standpoint. Although almost from the time of its definition, more than a century ago, the essentially organic nature of the disease and its close relationship to syphilis have been universally recognized, it has required many years of patient study to free it from the hypotheses which have been invoked to explain its obscurities, and, as always happens in scientific progress, in the process of unravelling the knotty problems of this disease, we discover that there are new obstacles and difficulties to be overcome. Is the Spirochóte pallida alone responsible for the genesis of general paralysis? When does it gain access to the nervous system, and how? Is there a special strain of spirochóte, or must the individual resistance of the infected person be considered the deciding factor in the development of the disease? What is the meaning of the long latent interval before the onset of symptoms? What determines the peculiar distribution of the lesions in general paralysis, and is there some particular place in the brain from which the spirochæte starts its wandering? What is the significance of the absence of spirochætes in other organs of the body, and why does the cerebro-spinal fluid contain no organisms at a time when the brain contains millions? Why do tabes, general paralysis and optic atrophy, supposedly of similar origin, not occur in conjunction more frequently? Why is it that arsenical compounds fail to effect a cure?

Abstract This integrative review of literature followed the PICO strategy to investigate the repercussions of the use of social networks on the body image of their users. PubMed, LILACS, PsycINFO and SciELO databases were included as well as articles published between January 2006 and February 2019. Thirty-three articles were analyzed, which compose the corpus of this review. The studies revealed that social networks have a predominantly negative repercussion on the body self-image of their users, increasing levels of body dissatisfaction, also having a negative impact on mood and self-esteem. Added to this, social networks influenced the body type that users would like to have, translated by the lean body profile, considered a model of beauty.

ABSTRACT: Brain gymnastic is a collection of simple movements that aim to connect or unite the mind and body through kinesiology educational process. Kinesiology is a science that studies body movement and the relationship between muscle and posture to brain function. The motion of the limbs that is emphasized in brain gymnastics is a cross movement. The movement moves the extremes on one side of the body intersecting the midline and coordinates with the extremes on the other side of the body so that both hemispheres are used at the same time. Gymnastics of the brain in special needs children (simple children needs) as a child slow or slow (retarded) that will never succeed in school as children in general. Thus the basis of the need for bridal gymnastics is devoted to special needs of children who have been learning difficulties or concentrating disorders, and do not have a good focus on observing everything, so there needs to be a drill or balance exercise of coordination and asymmetric movements or crosses to optimize focus and his concentration.   ABSTRAK: Senam otak merupakan kumpulan gerakan-gerakan sederhana yang bertujuan menghubungkan atau menyatukan akal dan tubuh melalui proses edukasi kinesiologi. Kinesiologi merupakan suatu ilmu yang mempelajari gerakan tubuh dan hubungan antara otot dan postur terhadap fungsi otak. Gerak anggota tubuh yang ditekankan pada senam otak adalah gerakan menyilang. Gerakan tersebut menggerakkan ekstremitas pada satu sisi tubuh menyilang garis tengah dan berkoordinasi dengan ekstremitas pada sisi tubuh yang lain sehingga kedua hemisfer dipergunakan pada saat yang bersamaan. Senam otak pada anak kebutuhan khusus (special needs children) secara simple sebagai anak yang lambat (slow) atau mengalami gangguan (retarded) yang tidak akan pernah berhasil di sekolah sebagaimana anak-anak pada umumnya. Dengan demikian dasar kebutuhan adanya senam otak dikhususkan pada anak kebutuhan khusus yang mengalami kesulitan belajar atau gangguan berkonsentrasi, dan tidak memiliki fokus yang baik dalam mengamati segala hal, sehingga perlu adanya drill atau latihan keseimbangan gerak-gerak koordinasi dan asimetris atau menyilang untuk mengoptimalkan fokus dan konsentrasinya.

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-contacting neurons (CSF-N) located in the surface of both brain ventricles and the central canal (cc) in the spinal cord. The cc and CSF maintain a proliferative niche for neural progenitor cells and play a vital role in development of the brain. The CSF circulates in the ventricles and the subarachnoid spaces with the CSF rhythmic flow: cardiac pulsation and respiratory fluctuation. A new concept of CSF motion may be contrary to the classical one that the direction of CSF motion may vary in direction and may be dynamic in its location. The CSF pressure may also depend on the body position. Moderate music-making has been considered a potential approach for rehabilitative and restorative therapy of brain dysfunctions. Recently, we find that the CSF-Ns are present in both the interior CFS in the cc and also exterior CSF around the surface of the spinal cord. We hypothesize that CSF-N as mechanical sensors in the spinal cord could sense motion of the spinal cord. The myodural bridge is a ligament connecting a pair of deep, upper-neck muscles to the dura mater, which envelops the arachnoid mater and contains the CSF surrounding the brain and the spinal cord. We figure out the term “CSF-static compartment” and classify CSF storage location as rostral pool and caudal pool to demonstrate our hypothesis. We presume that the somatic body movement with music-making and rehabilitation-based interventions would orchestrate the CSF motion with head movement, myodural bridge stretching and puling as well as spinal bending.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a method for acquiring the brain signals for diagnostic purposes. It tracks and records the brain wave patterns. This is a non-invasive technique. The idea behind is to categorize the EEG signal based on the frequency range. The steps include collecting EEG signals, pre-processing, feature extraction, feature selection and classification. The pre-processing eliminates the noises from the signal. EEG signal can be disintegrated by using discrete wavelet transform. The feature extraction methods are used to obtain the time-domain features of the EEG signal. Finally, the classification method determines the variations in the mental state of the person.

The impact of anxiety on the human mental and physique is a strong one, as it appears. The short term consequences are often overwhelming, by changing the perception and interpretation of the situation, the motivation and the will of the person, and on the long-term – even the whole personality. Here it is included the self-image, that is an important start point for the success in life. Physical activities gain more attention of the specialists who think those can influence the prevention and treatment of physical and mental disorders. The body movement is one of the key points of the mental balance, since it leads to the change of energy level, self awareness, changing the affective disposition and social integration.

Bodily movement, rhythmic response, physical exercise and related techniques are sources of spiritual awareness. Yoga and dance are both concerned with the relationship between spirituality and the physical body. This paper presents a literature review of yoga and modern and contemporary dance as spiritual bodily practices. An electronic literature search was undertaken using Scopus, Google Scholar, CINAHL, EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE and Web of Science databases to examine the integration of modern and contemporary dance with yoga practice. The review reveals a number of important choreographic and spiritual similarities between these practices, including coordinated movement of the body with the breath, sequences of movements, rhythm, gestures and energy management. Many modern and contemporary dancers, choreographers and artists, such as Graham, include yoga techniques in their choreography and teaching. Through bodily movements, yoga and dance allow for self-awareness and self-perception, which aid in connecting the body, the brain and the soul with the divine. The paper finally suggests and describes how a combination of these two practices may be applied in conjunction with rhythm and music to enhance spirituality through body movement. Summary: My comment is basically restricted to the situation in which less-able students find themselves and refers only to literature in German. From this point of view I am basically able to confirm Marsh's results. It must, however, be said that with less-able pupils the opposite effect can be found: Levels of self-esteem in these pupils are raised, at least temporarily, by separate instruction, academic performance however drops; combined instruction, on the other hand, leads to improved academic performance, while levels of self-esteem drop. Apparently, the positive self-image of less-able pupils who receive separate instruction does not bring about the potential enhancement of academic performance one might expect from high-ability pupils receiving separate instruction. To resolve the dilemma, it is proposed that individual progress in learning be accentuated, and that comparisons with others be dispensed with. This fosters a self-image that can in equal measure be realistic and optimistic.

Over 20 years ago, Watt and Hameroff (1987 ) suggested that consciousness may be described as a manifestation of deterministic chaos in the brain/mind. To analyze EEG-signal complexity, we used Higuchi’s fractal dimension in time domain and symbolic analysis methods. Our results of analysis of EEG-signals under anesthesia, during physiological sleep, and during epileptic seizures lead to a conclusion similar to that of Watt and Hameroff: Brain activity, measured by complexity of the EEG-signal, diminishes (becomes less chaotic) when consciousness is being “switched off”. So, consciousness may be described as a manifestation of deterministic chaos in the brain/mind.
