IDENTITY OF PROFESSIONAL GROUPS PROVIDING PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Providing high quality mental health services is one of the key objectives for national governments declared by WHO, where professional groups providing psychological help play an important role. Confusion among the professional groups in the field poses difficulties both for the professionals and service users. The paper aims to review the studies focused on the identity of professional groups providig psychological help with a special emphasis on used methodological approaches. In the first section of the paper concepts used in the relevant studies are discussed, proposing collective professional identity as the most appropriate theoretical idea to ground the future research in the given field. The second section of this paper analyses the methodological approaches applied in mentioned studies. Collective identity of professionals is conceived by the sholars in given field as a multidimensional concept  which is studied both quantitatively and qualitatively. Thus far quantitative research methods are more common, but benefits of qualitative research in the future are also stressed. The results of literature review will serve as the theoretical background for studying professional groups providing psychological help in Latvia.

PurposeThis paper aims to review conceptual and empirical studies that analyse the impact of the pandemic on mobility and tourism behaviour at destinations in order to identify proposals, forecasts and recommendations to guide the future research agenda on the subject.Design/methodology/approachThis study used a systematic literature review to synthesise information from scientific articles published in journals indexed in the Web of Science database related to tourism mobility at destinations during the COVID-19 pandemic.FindingsThis article found that, according to the existing literature, the COVID-19 pandemic is acting as a catalyst for the sustainable transition of tourism. Although the findings reveal a lack of empirical research on the impact of the pandemic on tourism mobility at destinations, the article synthesizes the short- and long-term impacts of the pandemic and sets out the future research agenda on tourist mobility at destinations.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first systematic review of the impact of the pandemic on mobility and tourism behaviour at destinations that attempts to describe the emerging challenges and the agenda for future research.

This paper addresses the importance of building knowledge on the impact of cybercrime victimization. Because the topic is understudied, it is unclear whether the impact of cybercrime differs from that of traditional crime. Our understanding of potential impact differences needs to be improved, considering that society and criminality are digitizing and, consequently, more people are likely to become victims of cybercrime. From a practical perspective, knowledge about the impact of different crimes is important to develop victim policies within law enforcement and other relevant agencies, and to treat victims appropriately. In this paper, a literature review is provided, as well as future research directions to address the current knowledge gap. The future research directions are divided in three topics: (1) distinguishing between cybercrime and traditional crime, (2) classifying cybercrime and traditional crime, and (3) measuring the victimization impact of cybercrime and traditional crime.

Purpose Service scholars are finding that institutions – enduring social structures, such as rules, norms, beliefs – are increasingly important in theorizing on service-related phenomena. The purpose of this paper is to advance the use of institutional theory in service research by synthesizing the key insights from institutional theory that have been applied to service-related phenomena and developing a research agenda to guide the future use of institutional theory in service research. Design/methodology/approach This paper is an integrative literature review covering 68 articles from major service research and marketing journals that adopt institutional concepts and frameworks to study service-related phenomena. Findings The paper maps the “institutional turn” of service research, that is, the increasing tendency to draw on institutional theory for theoretical insights within service research and builds a conceptual framework of the institutional stabilization and destabilization mechanisms that explain endurance and change in service phenomena. The paper also proposes a research agenda that outlines four previously ignored aspects of institutions that have important implications for service research. Research limitations/implications In addition to synthesizing insights and proposing directions for future research, the paper highlights specific theoretical and methodological considerations for the future use of institutional theory within service research. The literature review is limited to the 13 major service research and marketing journals. Originality/value This paper is the first literature review of the use of institutional theory in service research.

The key to academic success is not only good quality teaching but also a individualized teaching and individualized approaching to the student’s cognitive styles of learning and anxiety. The present paper tries to answer the question if the teachers and school counsellors may help improve students’ learning by helping them to manage their behaviour and attitudes more effectively. Precisely, it postulates that as long as teachers may adapt their communication styles and teachings to the cognitive styles of their student’s better results and more efficient learning they will get from them. It first presents a short literature review of anxiety and of cognitive styles of learning the relation, followed by the relation between anxiety and the cognitive styles and it finally postulates the main methodological approaches that any teachers should adopt to make his teaching more effective having in mind the relation between the two variables. Finally, implications for teaching are discussed, as are suggestions for the future researches.

Objective – The objective of this paper is to provide a structured literature review of CSR reporting discourse in the context of a developing country, namely Bangladesh, with a focus on three dominant themes: i) the driving forces for CSR reporting, ii) the methodological approaches employed by researchers while studying CSR disclosures, and iii) the theoretical frameworks utilized in explaining the same. Methodology/Technique – In this paper we have employed a structured literature review (SLR) approach and reviewed more than 60 articles from highly ranked accounting and business, ethics and management journals, published over the past two decades. By opting for the SLR approach, we intend to contribute to the extant literature from a methodological perspective since SLR has been relatively underutilized in accounting research. Findings – The paper reveals that while some determinants of CSR disclosure are ubiquitous in both developed and developing countries, the motivation for disclosing social and environmental information is, to a considerable extent, context specific. Specifically, for developing countries like Bangladesh, CSR reporting is driven by survival concerns, emanating from pressure created by global stakeholders, competitive dynamics and sometimes, the ‘shadow of the state’. The paper also finds CSR to be under-theorized in Bangladesh, with too much reliance on the legitimacy framework. Given the socio-economic context of Bangladesh, future research should make use of alternative theories drawn from the social and political domain to enable deeper understanding of CSR reporting. Novelty – This paper is one of the first attempts to review CSR literature in the specific context of Bangladesh, which offers an interesting case to study owing to the dual influence of export-led growth on one hand and elements of traditionalism, on the other. The novelty of this paper lies in its attempt to study three dimensions, viz. determinants, theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches in coalition, and thus offer an integrated perspective, which is missing in previous studies. Abstract The aim of this paper is to extend the knowledge about virtual teams and above all to stress the differences between face-to-face and virtual teams as well as to define its chosen success factors. This paper is based on an extended literature review of virtual teams. The author describes virtual teams, reasons for their implementation and four factors that are prerequisites for team success. The first finding is that the successful introduction of a virtual team and its management requires knowledge about the special characteristics of this team and the effective handling of challenges. Second, the literature review of virtual teams reveals a lack of research on the differences in motivation between face-to-face and virtual teams. The originality of the article is ensured by selection of the most important factors which, according to the literature review, lead to the success of virtual teams and by a description of areas that need to be explored in the future.

Social media have created a multitude of ways for organizations to develop and disseminate their corporate and organizational identity. However, little is still known about how identity can be observed on social media. To address this research gap, we conducted a scoping review that collected, analyzed and synthesized the corpus of published research on organizational and corporate identity and social media. The analysis presented in this paper provides a description of the state-of-the-art on this topic that we hope can help future scholars to understand the various methodological approaches and types of data most pertinent to the exploration of organizational and corporate identity on social media, even though, overall, it reveals that there are relatively few studies with a reliable and universal method for measuring these concepts. This guarantees that future research will be necessary. Practitioners may also wish to draw on our findings to design more tailored ways of strengthening their organizational and corporate identity.

Purpose of the study: The research aimed to compile extensive literature on workplace deviance typology. Methodology: The research comprises a systematic literature review. The review helps to understand the extensive work on workplace deviance (1983-2019). The articles were shortlisted based on PRISMA, preferred reporting items for systematic reviews, to provide a clear picture. Based on 75 shortlisted articles from financial times (FT) – 50. The shortlisted articles comprise four clusters, i.e., antecedents, consequences, mediators, and moderators. Main Findings: The research found the need to explore future research based on a social constructivist lens. Applications of this study: The research provides a way forward to extend research in workplace deviance. Research developed a framework to guide future research on the new relationships of workplace deviance. Hence, empirical work on these relationships can offer new insights into construct dimensionality, methodology, and philosophy. Novelty/Originality of this study: After highlighting the key contributions of the previous researchers, the research attempted to articulate the ontology of workplace deviance by suggesting the need to investigate it through a different philosophical lens. Researchers then identified various gaps to be addressed in the future.

In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to individuals organizing themselves and managing food systems in an ‘alternative’ and more sustainable way. Such emerging food initiatives are most commonly known as ‘Alternative Food Networks’ (AFNs). However, there is an ongoing debate concerning the extent to which AFNs facilitate social, economic and environmental change. There are criticisms of the overall sustainability promise of AFNs related to sufficiency of impact, possible countereffects and relevance of impacts. Because often empirical studies only focus on specific sustainability issues or AFNs, it has been difficult to develop more robust theories about the relation between diverse AFNs arrangements and sustainability. Thus, the aim of this paper is to contribute towards reducing this knowledge gap through a systematic literature review on AFNs in relation to sustainability. We summarise main methodological approaches, types of AFNs studied and sustainability dimensions addressed in literature to date. Findings serve as reference to propose opportunities for future research regarding sustainability in AFNs.

<p>The objectives of this paper is to review some researches on marketing concept in Islamic perspective. The expected of this review is to provide benefits for related researches in the future. This study uses some review papers, empirical studies and books related to marketing concept in Islamic perspective. The analysis allows identifying interesting points for future research on the topic of marketing concept in Islamic perspective. This paper provides a better understanding on how Islamic perspective on marketing concept. This paper only reviewed concerned articles from Science Direct, Emerald Insight and books. The results of the review showed that the limited studies about the marketing concept in Islamic perspective (Islamic marketing concept). Result of this study is believed to give worth understanding about actual situation in this field of research.
