Abstract: A happy individual tends to produce positive things in life in terms of social self; study; and career aspects. This research is to find out the effectiveness of adventure based counseling (ABC) program to improve happiness in students. This research was conducted using experimental design with one group pretest-posttest model. The subject of this research was eleven students in the third semester of study program of guidance and counseling, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The pretest and posttest data was collected using a scale which was developed based on Seligman theory. The data was analyzed by non-parametric data analysis of Wilcoxon test. The results show that ABC program does not significantly influence happiness in students, but it gives influence to the aspect of meaningfulness and achievement.Abstrak: Individu yang bahagia cenderung menghasilkan hal-hal yang positif dalam aspek pribadi-sosial; belajar; dan kariernya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keefektifan program ABC untuk meningkatkan kebahagiaan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan experimental design dengan model one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah sebelas mahasiswa semester tiga program studi bimbingan dan konseling UAD yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data pretest dan posttest dilakukan menggunakan skala yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Seligman. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data non-parametrik dengan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan pemberian program ABC tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kebahagiaan mahasiswa, namun berpengaruh terhadap aspek kebermaknaan dan prestasi.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Adventure Based Counseling program to increase student happiness. Results to be achieved is the increasing level of happiness student. Happiness is a positive emotion in order to achieve significance in the life of each individual. Each individual strives to achieve happiness by the role and environmental conditions. Individuals who have happiness tend to produce things that are positive in the personal-social aspects, learning, and career. Research conducted using an experimental model design with one group pretest-posttest. The research subjects are students of class III D4 Semester Study Program Guidance and Counseling UAD selected with purposive sampling technique. Data is collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data obtained and analyzed by non-parametric data analysis with Test Wilxocon. The results obtained by analysis meaning significant value 0.798> 0.05, adventure-based counseling program administration no significant effect on student happiness. However, there is the influence of adventure-based counseling services before and after treatments are mainly on the aspect of significance and accomplishment. This is evident from the change in happiness scores of students before and after treatments.

Persentase kejadian dismenorea di Indonesia 55%, namun yang berobat ke pelayanan kesehatan sangatlah sedikit, yaitu hanya 1% - 2%. Upaya untuk mengurangi rasa nyeri melalui cara nonfarmakologis dengan terapi relaksasi ini terus dikembangkan yang salah satunya adalah dengan teknik relaksasi Benson. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh terapi relaksasi Benson terhadap penurunan nyeri dismenore pada mahasiswa D-III Keperawatan tingkat III STIKES Karya Husada Semarang. Metode penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah komparasi dengan pendekatan quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini semua mahasisiswi perempuan Program studi D-III Keperawatan tingkat II yang berjumlah 44 mahasiswi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah 40 responden. Hasil penelitian: Hasil peneltiian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat nyeri Dismenore sebelum dilakukan teknik relaksasi Benson sebagian besar adalah kategori nyeri sedang dan setelah dilakukan teknik relaksasi Benson sebagian besar kategori nyeri ringan. Hasil uji statistik ditemukan ada perbedaan nyeri dismenore sebelum dan setelah dilakukan teknik relaksasi Benson pada mahasiswi D III Keperawatan STIKES Karya Husada Semarang dengan dengan uji Wilcoxon diketahui nilai significant difference p = 0,000, < (0,05). Objective: To know the effect of Benson relaxation therapy on dysmenorrhea pain reduction in D-III Nursing student III STIKES Karya Husada Semarang. Research method: This research type is comparation with quasi experiment approach. The population in this study are all female students of the nursing study program II nursing level II which amounted to 44 female students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with 40 respondents. Results: The results showed that the rate of dysmenorrhea pain before Benson relaxation technique was mostly moderate pain category and after Benson relaxation technique most of the category of mild pain. The result of statistic test found that there was difference of dysmenorrhea pain before and after Benson relaxation technique on student D III Nursing STIKES Karya Husada Semarang with Wilcoxon test known significant value difference p = 0,000, <(0,05). The present study is aimed at developing effective guidance program for increasing student’s learning motivation. The present study applies quantitative research approach with nonequivalent pre-posttest control group quasi-experimental design, and nonrandom-purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using inventory, interview, and documentary study. The study comes up with the main finding that the tested guidance program is proven to be effective for increasing learning motivation students of 11th grade at SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan self efficacy, coping stress dan prestasi akademik mahasiswa semester awal Program Studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 60 orang. Tekhnik pengambilan data dengan cara purposive sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah skala self efficacy dan skala coping stress. Untuk prestasi akademik data dikumpulkan dengan melihat indeks prestasi akademik (IPK) semester pertama. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : (1) tidak ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara variabel self efficacy, coping stress dan prestasi akademik , (2) sumbangan prediktor (R2) self efficacy dan coping stress sebesar  2%, (3) rata-rata mahasiswa Program Studi Psikologi angkatan 2012 memiliki self efficacy yang tergolong tinggi, coping stress yang tergolong sedang dan prestasi akademik yang tergolong sedang.Kata kunci : self efficacy, coping stress, dan prestasi akademik  Aim to determine relationship between self efficacy, coping stress and achievement academic in first semester college student of Psychology Study Program of Medical Faculty of Lambung Mangkurat University. Method respondents as many as 60 first semester college students. Sampling technique by using purposive sampling. Data collection by using self efficacy scale, coping of stress scale and achievement academic indeks of first semester. Data analyzed by multiple regression. Results the relationship between self efficacy, coping of stress and achievement academic is not significant.. Self efficacy and coping of stress contribute 2% to achievement academic. Cohesive devices in a piece of writing serve to unify sentences within a text. Building upon Halliday and Hasan’s (1976) Cohesion in English, this study aimed to identify and classify cohesive devices and also to discover the effects of cohesion overuse and underuse found in synopsis writings written for Book Report 1 and Book Report 2 assignment. The data were collected from 40 synopsis writings produced by the 4th and 5th semester students of English Study Program of Universitas Gadjah Mada. The data analysis applied a qualitative method and the data collection used purposive sampling technique. The findings showed that reiteration was the most prominently used type and followed by reference, conjunction, and collocation with the frequency 2,193 (56.94%), 1,405 (36.48%), 64 (2.92%), and 252 (6.54%) times respectively. Other types with low occurrences were elliptical and substitutional cohesion that occurred 3 (0.078%) and 2 (0.051%) times respectively. In some cases, students tended to overuse and underuse cohesive devices. In terms of cohesion overuse, in some cases, the use of reiteration leading to lexical redundancy and monotonous sentences. And in cohesion underuse, the lack of using personal reference and temporal conjunction yielding ineffective and less cohesive sentences. AbstrakKemampuan komunikasi matematis perlu dimiliki mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi perlu didukung oleh pembelajaran yang tepat, diantaranya pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa antara yang belajar dengan pembelajaran Think Talk Write dan konvensional, serta mengetahui interpretasi peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa dari kedua kelas. Metode penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik Purposive Sampling dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas di Program studi Pendidikan Matematika Institut Pendidikan Indonesia. Analisis data secara kuantitatif dengan uji gain ternormalisasi dan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian yaitu pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran Think Talk Write lebih baik dari mahasiswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran Think Talk Write memiliki interpretasi tinggi sedangkan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional memiliki interpretasi sedang.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, Think Talk Write, kuasi eksperimen Mathematical Communication Ability of Student through Think Talk Write LearningAbstractCommunication ability needs to be possessed by students to solve mathematical problems. Improved communication skills need to be supported by appropriate learning, one of which is learning Think Talk Write (TTW). The purpose of this study is to analyze the achievement and improvement of communication ability between students who are learning with Think Talk Write learning and conventional learning, as well as to find out interpretations of improved communication ability of students from both classes. The research method is quasi-experiment. The sampling technique is the purposive sampling technique by taking a sample of two classes in the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Institut Pendidikan Indonesia. Data analysis was performed quantitatively using the normalized gain test and Mann Whitney. The results of the study are the achievement and improved of communication skills of students who study with Think Talk Write learning is better than students who study with conventional learning, improvement of mathematical communication skills of students who study with Think Talk Write learning has a high interpretation while increasing mathematical communication skills of students who study with conventional learning have medium interpretations.Keywords: Mathematical Communication Ability, Think Talk Write, quasi-experiment

The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of listening murottal Quran to reduce insomnia level in student. The research subjects were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The subject of this research were 5 students who experienced insomnia and measured using insomnia severity index. This research using one group pretest-posttest design experiment.  Murottal Quran, Surah Ar-Rahman, was heard using MP3 player, with duration of 16.00 minutes for 8 days before bedtime. The results of data testing using Wilcoxon test find a significance level of 0.031 (p <0.05), pretest mean is 17.6, and posttest mean is 11.6. The results show that listening to murottal Quran is effective in reduced insomnia levels in students.

Abstrak Jumlah kasus kematian ibu di kabupaten Kendal pada tahun 2015 sebanyak 23 kasus, tahun 2016 19 kasus, dan tahun 2017 naik menjadi 25 kasus. Desa Singorojo adalah desa yang dalam 3 tahun terakhir memiliki trend kenaikan kasus kehamilan risiko tinggi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Youth Centre Model dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan sikap remaja di daerah kehamilan berisiko tinggi. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan desain pre-eksperimental research dengan one group pretest-posttest design yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah remaja di desa Singorojo kabupaten Kendal. Sampel ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji beda dan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menujukkan edukasi sebaya yang dilakukan oleh Kader Youth Centre yang telah diberi pelatihan telah mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan reproduksi remaja khususnya terkait seksualitas dan kehamilan berisiko tinggi (p value 0,001). Selain itu juga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran remaja akan pentingnya pendewasaan usia perkawinan melalui perubahan sikap remaja (p value 0,002). Simpulan menunjukkan Youth Centre dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pada siswa remaja.   Abstract The number of maternal mortality cases in Kendal district in 2015 reached 23 cases, in 2016 were 19 cases, and in 2017 were 25 cases. Singorojo village was a village that in the last 3 years had a significant upward trend in cases. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Youth Center Model in increasing the knowledge of the attitudes of adolescents in high risk pregnancy areas. This study was designed with a pre-experimental research design with one pretest-posttest design group analyzed quantitatively. The study population was adolescents in Singorojo village, Kendal district. Sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was used a different test and Wilcoxon test. The results of a complete peer education study conducted by Youth Center Cadres who had been given training had been able to improve adolescent health knowledge with high sexuality and pregnancy (p value 0.001). In addition, it could also increase teenagers' awareness of the importance of marriage awareness for adolescent girls (p value 0.002). Conclusion showed that Youth Center can increase knowledge and awareness of adolescent students.

Promosi Kesehatan di Puskesmas sangat bermanfaat  menambah wawasan dan meningkatkan kemampuan pasien, keluarga pasien, dan pengunjung di Puskesmas tentang beragam jenis penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian media video Audio Visual Aids (AVA) terhadap meningkatkan motivasi kerja dan pengetahuan tenaga kesehatan sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kualitas dan kecakapan petugas dalam pelaksanaan promosi kesehatan di Puskesmas. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan  adalah quasi experimental design (eksperimen   semu) dengan rancangan Pre-Test Post-Test With Control Grup Design. Sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik sampling purposive sampling. Analisis data analsis univariat dan analisis bivariat digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara variabel bebas dan terikat dengan analisis uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik uji wilcoxon test  pada variabel motivasi kerja  p = 0,018 dan pengetahu p = 0,011, maka motivasi kerja dan pengetahuan  p< α (0,05) dan H0 ditolak artinya terdapat pengaruh antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan yakni pemberian video AVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian  media video AVA terhadap motivasi kerja dan pengetahuan promosi kesehatan. Petugas promosi kesehatan yang memiliki motivasi kerja tinggi dalam melaksanakan Promosi Kesehatan Puskesmas dengan baik dan optimal sehingga tidak sulit mencapai tujuan untuk pencapaian keberhasilan indikator keberhasilan dalam pelaksanaan promosi kesehatan untuk peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat.
