We investigated the relationship of self-sexualization to self-objectification, weight concerns, self-efficacy, academic outcomes, and career aspirations among preadolescent girls. Participants were 89 six- to nine-year-old girls; parental reports were also obtained. Two thirds of girls showed signs of self-sexualization by choosing a sexualized doll over a nonsexualized doll as who they preferred to look like and/or who they currently look like. Girls who self-sexualized reported higher self-objectification and weight concerns than girls who did not self-sexualize. Self-sexualization was unrelated to social, emotional, and academic self-efficacy and to girls’ career confidence and interest. However, parents of girls who self-sexualized reported their daughters had lower academic performance and enjoyed school less compared to girls who did not self-sexualize. Additionally, parents of girls who self-sexualized had lower academic expectations for their daughters. It is possible that in preadolescence self-sexualization affects girls’ body cognitions and parental expectations without (yet) affecting self-efficacy or academic goals.

To determine the relationship of perceptual-motor skills and ability to conserve to school readiness, 94 Ss in kindergarten and first grade were administered the Purdue Perceptual-motor Survey, the Metropolitan Readiness Test, and six Piaget tasks to measure logical thinking. Scores on the Purdue scale and Piaget tasks were not correlated; however, both sets of scores were moderately correlated with school readiness as measured by the Metropolitan test.

Behavioral regulation has recently become an important variable in research looking at kindergarten and first-grade achievement of children in private and public schools. The purpose of this study was to examine a measure of behavioral regulation, the Head Toes Knees Shoulders Task, and to evaluate its relationship with visual spatial maturity at the end of kindergarten. Later, in first grade, teachers were asked to rate the children ( N = 82) in terms of academic and behavioral adaptation. Behavioral regulation and visual spatial maturity were significantly different between the two school types, but ratings by the teachers in the first grade were affected by children’s visual spatial maturity rather than by behavioral regulation. Socioeducational opportunities provided by the two types of schools may be more important to school adaptation than behavioral regulation.

Menstrual disorders such as delayed menstruation, irregular cycle, menstrual pain, or hypermenorea can bring so much discomfort to women caused by biological abnormalities and psychological factors. However, nutritional status can also play a role in contributing to this disorder. This study aimed to determine the relationship of nutritional status to menstrual disorders in midwifery students. This descriptive analytical study used a cross sectional study design and a correlation study to find the relationship between the independent variables and dependent variables. The samples were all the first grade students of Midwifery Department of Poltekkes Jakarta Kemenkes III by 150 people. Based on the bivariate test, there was a relationship between nutritional status and polimenorea/oligomenorea (0.000), hipermenorea/hipomenorea (0.006) and amhea (0.001). The lecturers of the midwifery program are expected to put more concern on this problem by providing counseling about this issue so that the students can get prepared to face the disorder by having nutritional food in their daily life.

Research questions were formulated. Population of the study was teachers and students (8775) of all universities (29) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sample of the study was taken from nine (9) universities’ teachers and students (900) through simple random and purposive sampling techniques. Questionnaires and interview were used as research instruments to collect data from the concerned participants and informants. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for the analysis of the data. It was found that there is a significant correlation between social emotional intelligence of teachers and students’ cohesiveness in classroom learning environment. It is recommended that research studies should be conducted at different level with different variables relating to emotional social intelligence.

School children are the nation's next generation. Therefore, it is necessary to improve human resources from an early age. Providing good nutrition, will affect the growth and development of a child. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating and breakfast patterns and learning achievement of elementary school children. The type of research used is quantitative research with a literature study design. The literature used is literature published from 2013 to 2020. The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between eating and breakfast patterns and learning achievement of elementary school children. The results of data analysis showed that there were 3 research locations, namely in Java 60% (6 articles), Sulawesi 30% (3 articles), Kalimantan 10% (1 article). Using correlation research 50%, analytic survey research 20%, and 30% other research. Data analysis was made in univariate and bivariate ways. The variables used in each study were diet, breakfast, and learning achievement. From this research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between eating and breakfast patterns and learning achievement of elementary school children. <p>This study is a quantitative approach. The variables of this study consisted of the dependent variable and the independent variable. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable. This study applied correlational research. The population of this study consisted of all students of SMA Negeri 16 Medan, 900 students, in 2020. The sample of this study was set to be 100 students, and the sampling was done by using of Slovin technique. The techniques of data collection in this study were a Likert scale questionnaire and pre-test and post-test. The research instruments were arranged according to variable indicators based on the direction and guidance of the Thesis advisor, then tested on students of Medan 16 High School. All data collection instruments for the first independent variable consist of 40 items from the second independent variable, consisting of 40 items. The requirement test for the first independent variable data and the second independent variable used data normality test, comparable data, and linearity. Hypothesis testing uses the t-test to look for correlations on each variable and a partial correlation test with the product-moment formula or SPSS version 20. The results of the research hypothesis state that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional quotient and learning interest with learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education subjects, with proven that r arithmetic&gt; rtable and also t arithmetic&gt; ttable that can be accepted with a decision-making level of 0.05.</p>
