Arabic course is a university course that must be followed by all students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Based on the observation, learning Arabic in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung reap the constraints and challenges in its implementation. To overcome this problem, the development of learning model can be considered as an alternative. This research uses research and development (R D) method. Located on UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung campus in Psychology course. Research subjects in this study were students and lecturers of Islamic Education Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. In the implementation, this learning model is quite effective in order to improve the performance of lecturers and student motivation in the process of learning Arabic and is known to be more effective when compared with the Arabic learning that has been going on.

This study aims to increase student motivation, by using the cooperative learning model type a make a match assisted by audio visual media in science subjects class VIII-A SMPN 6 SUMENEP. This type of research is a classroom action research (CAR) with the approach used is a qualitative and quantitative approach that is descriptive and without using statistical analysis. The research subjects studied were SMP Negeri 6 Sumenep students in class VIII-A in the odd semester of 2017/2018 with 23 students consisting of 12 female students and 11 male students. Data collection instruments were carried out using sheets of the implementation of learning activities and observation sheets of student motivation. The results of student learning motivation in science subjects using the make a match type of cooperative learning model assisted by audio-visual media using card media distributed during learning and group formation to find partners makes students active and enthusiastic so that their motivation to learn increases. This can be seen from the percentage in cycle 1 students' learning motivation is still in the moderate category (57%). In cycle II it has increased, so it rises to the good category (76.5%).

Abstract: Self-confidence is an important aspect in dealing with learning processes at a university level. The current study aimed at qualitatively investigating the contributions of a learning model so-called “Everyone is a Teacher Here” (EITH) to the improvement of tertiary students’ self-confidence in learning. 30 students from Islamic Education Department at IAIN Curup were purposively engaged as the participants. Their self-confidence improvement was scrutinized using observation and in-depth interviews. The data revealed that EITH model was positively contributive to the improvement of students’ self-confidence in learning. In this respect, the students experienced improvements in terms of their courage to argue, ask, and answer questions. They also experienced improvements in terms of abilities to elaborate learning materials resting upon their confidence. The improvements of their confidence are also associated with the increases in learning responsibility and achievements.Keywords: self-confidence, learning, the model of everyone is a teacher hereAbstrak : Rasa percaya diri adalah aspek penting dalam menghadapi proses pembelajaran di tingkat universitas. Penelitian saat ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi secara kualitatif kontribusi model pembelajaran "Everyone is a Teacher Here” (EITH) terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam belajar. 30 orang mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam di IAIN Curup dilibatkan sebagai partisipan. Peningkatan kepercayaan diri mereka diteliti dengan menggunakan observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Data mengungkapkan bahwa model EITH memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam belajar. Dalam hal ini, para mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan dalam hal keberanian mereka untuk berargumen, bertanya, dan menjawab pertanyaan. Mereka juga mengalami peningkatan dalam hal kemampuan dalam menguraikan materi pembelajaran yang didasarkan pada kepercayaan diri mereka. Peningkatan kepercayaan diri mereka juga berasosiasi dengan peningkatan tanggung jawab dalam belajar dan hasil belajar mereka.Kata Kunci: rasa percaya diri, pembelajaran, model pembelajaran everyone is a teacher here

The study was to: (1) produce a practicum learning model that might be applied by the lecturers of Automotive Engineering Education Program as the center of Light Vehicle Engineering (LVE) Study Program prospective teachers in the vocational high schools (VHS); (2) identify the automotive industry-oriented competence aspects in practicum learning needed by the LVE Study Program prospective teachers in the VHS; (3) identify the degree of implementatibility of the practicum learning model that had been developed for the LVE Study program prospective teachers in the VHS; and (4) identify the effectiveness degree of the practicum learning model that had been developed for the LVE Study Program prospective teachers in the VHS. The model development in the study referred to the research and development model proposed by Richey and Klein. The research subjects were the students of Automotive Engineering Education Study Program Muhammadiyah University Purworejo. Then, the research objects were Toyota Magelang Company, the Daihatsu Armada Company and the Ultratune Company Gadjah Mada University. The results of the study show that: (1) the competency aspects developed in the P2BI Model for the students who refer the LVE Study Program prospective teachers include the affective aspect, the cognitive aspect and the psychomotor aspect; (2) the improvement of the affective, the cognitive and the psychomotor aspect has met the “Very Good” criteria; (3) the students’ activities in the implementation of the P2BI Model Stages have been very good; and (4) the students’ responses toward the P2BI Learning Model have been very positive.Keywords: learning model, practicum learning, LVE Study Program prospective teachers PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PRAKTIK BERBASIS INDUSTRIAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menghasilkan model pembelajaran praktik yang dapat diterapkan oleh dosen pendidikan teknik otomotif sebagai penghasil calon guru SMK Program Keahlian Teknik Otomotif (PKTO), dan (2) mengetahui aspek-aspek kompetensi pada pembelajaran praktik yang dibutuhkan calon guru SMK PKTO. Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini mengacu model research and development dari Richey and Klein. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. Objek penelitian di PT. Toyota Magelang, PT. Daihastu Armada dan PT. Ultratune UGM. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Aspek-aspek kompetensi yang dikembangkan pada model P2BI bagi mahasiswa calon guru SMK PKTO adalah aspek sikap,aspek pengetahuan dan aspek ketrampilan. (2) Peningkatan aspek sikap, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dengan kriteria sangat baik. (3) Aktivitas mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaan tahapan-tahapan model P2BI sangat baik dan (4) Tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap model pembelajaran P2BI sangat positif.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran,pembelajaran praktik, calon guru SMK PKTO

This research explores the effectiveness of using the Workshop methodology in enhancing pedagogical competences of the Islamic Education Department (Pendidikan Agama Islam/ PAI) teacher candidates in organizing an inclusive setting learning. Pedagogical competence indicators in this study consist of five components; (1) Teacher’s understanding towards students, (2) Ability to design and organize learning, (3) Utilization of technology in learning activities, (4) Implementation of learning outcomes evaluation, (5) Development of student competencies. The workshop is one of the training methods that can be used to improve the pedagogical competence of PAI teacher candidates. This study utilizes a post-test only experiment method. The research subjects consist of the control and experimental class. The post-test was carried out in the control and experiment class, while data collected through a test, observation, and documentation. Furthermore, the data is analyzed by content analysis of the post-test and observation results of the workshop program implementation.

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Participatory Observation learning model and students’ responses to the learning model used in PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic Education). It used qualitative and quantitative methods with a pre-test and post-test nonrandomized group pre-experiment design. The 125 participants who were taken from three public universities, were asked to fill out questionnaires and written interviews. The data were analysed using paired t-test and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that first experiment got a t-score of 6,798 with a significance of 0,000; t-table score at 51 degrees of freedom and a significant degree of 0.05 in the form of 2.032. Second experiment obtained a t-score of 5.991 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 54 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.046. Third experiment achieved a t-score of 6.424 with a significance of 0.000; the t-table score at 20 degrees of freedom and 0.05 degrees of significance was 2.054. When compared, t-score> t-table or significance score <0.05, which means that the mean score between pre-test and post-test is significantly different. This means that the Participatory Observation learning model can improve students' religious and social character in learning PAI. This result is in line with the respondents' recognition that they have experienced changes in their character in a positive direction. Students stated that the Participatory Observation learning model was fun and very useful, so that it could be used in PAI learning to improve students’ character.

<p>The purpose of this research is to find out the motivations of PAI (Islamic Education Department) students at IAIN Salatiga to choose to attend lecture<em> </em>and<em> nyambi nyantri</em> (attending Islamic boarding school course) and to reveal their implications for adversity quotient. This study implemented a phenomenological approach and data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicated that, the motivations of PAI students in IAIN Salatiga choose to <em>nyantri nyambi</em> lectures namely to fill their free time outside of lecture hours, to study religion more deeply, to continue their Islamic boarding school study, to consider the Islamic boarding school to be in line with the study program taken, to get a mandate from <em>Kyai</em> (religious authorities preferred by Javanese community) to study while <em>mondok</em> (living in Islamic boarding school), and their parents do not allow them to continue their study to college if they live in homestay. While the implications for the adversity quotient of PAI students of IAIN (State Islamic Institution) Salatiga are to have great aspirations, shown by the desire to graduate as soon as possible with a cum laude GPA, continuing their study to master degree, be able to read and master <em>kitab kuning</em> (the traditional Islamic manuscript); be able to face difficulties, demonstrated by being able to go through difficult times of adaptation, be able to overcome economic difficulties; having great self-confidence which is shown by interpreting difficulties as encouragement in achieving goals.</p>

This study aims to improve motivation and mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model for class X-4 students at SMA Negeri 1 Gerung. This research method uses classroom action research. The research subjects were students of class X-4 with a total of 36 students. The research procedure was carried out on a cycle basis. Each cycle consists of planning activities, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting activities. The instruments used to collect research data consisted of tests and observation sheets. The research data were analyzed descriptively by using a percentage to see the trends that occurred in learning activities. The results showed that; (1) the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model can increase student motivation in the teaching and learning process, (2) student motivation shows that in cycle 1 is 75% and an increase in cycle 2 becomes 84.7%; and (3) students' mastery of the learning material also showed satisfactory results, in cycle 1 students achieved 77.8% completeness, while in cycle 2 students achieved 88.9% completeness.

This research describes using two of tools that are weblog and e-learning model to improve students’ writing skills in the second semester English Education Department Faculty of Language and Science Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya University. Those students have some problems in learning writing. They were confused what they must write for the first time and they were lack of vocabularies, and they were passive and looked uninterested in teaching and learning writing process. Based on the implementation of the study, the researcher found out that after being treated with weblog and e-learning model as a tool to improve students’ writing skill, the students had positive response and enjoyed the strategy when they practiced to post their writing through weblog and e-learning with their friends. Weblog and e-learning model facilitated the students to express their ideas in writing. Furthermore, they can cooperate in group, learn to make a draft, learn to give comment to their friends’ writing, learn to revise their writing, and learn to publish their writing. Weblog and e-learning model provides opportunities for students to like writing. Teaching writing using weblog and e-learning model can help teacher to improve the students’ writing skill through drafting, posting, giving the comment, revising, and publishing. Furthermore, the research also shows the result of students’ writing skill that in pre-test there were just 5 students out of 18 students or 28 % students who got the standard score 75. And the result of cycle, the researcher found improvement of the students’ writing skill. There were 14 out of 18 students or 77, 77 % students who achieved the success indicator in the cycle I. So, in this cycle, the students’ score improved. Based on the data, the result of writing test had fulfilled the criteria of success that was ≥70 %.

This research aims to (1) increase learning motivation of students through the adoption of a model cooperative learning methods Think Pair and Share (TPS), (2) describe the use of cooperative learning methods Think Pair and Share (TPS) in class XI IIS SMAN 3 Kuala Kapuas academic year 2014/2015. This study was designed and implemented using Action Research (PTK). Research subjects are all students of Class XI IIS SMAN 3 Kuala Kapuas. Object of this research is to increase student motivation and learning activities in the application method and Think Pair Share (TPS). The instrument used in this study were (1) an instrument for measuring the activity of the teacher in the classroom who is assisted by 2 observers, (2) instrument to measure student activities, (3) instrument to measure student motivation, (4) instrument to measure student response, towards the implementation of cooperative learning model and method of Think Pair Share (TPS). PTK stages in the form of planning, implementation, observation and reflection, using a scientific approach (5M).Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model Method And Think Pair Share (TPS), student motivation, enhancing learning.

This study aims to determine the increase in learning motivation of class XI SMA YP PGRI 1 Makassar. This type of research is a classroom action research with implementation stages which include planning, implementation, action, reflection, and evaluation in each cycle. The research subjects were 30 student of class XI IPA for the 2019/2020 academic year. Instruments in data collection using observation sheets and questionnaire sheets. The observation sheet is used to determine the increase in student motivation through student activities. Questionnaire sheets were used to obtain data on increasing student motivation in applying the Simas Eric learning model and students as respondents put a cross (X) on the answer choices that are considered the most appropriate to represent the answer. Based on the results of the study, the application of the Simas Eric learning model can increase the learning motivation of class XI IPA students of SMA YP PGRI 1 Makassar for the 2019/2020 school year.This is evidenced by increase in the results of student learning motivation in each cycle. Student learning motivation in cycle I was 61% and increased in cycle II by 84%.
