Content Analysis in Determining the Sustainability Potential of Lombok Tourism Industry

The sustainability of the tourism industry should be supported by sustainable development planning that accommodated local potential. This research aimed to study the sustainable potential of the Lombok tourism industry from a supply-driven perspective. This research was done using a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis content. The data were gained through Focus Group Discussion with Lombok tourism activists. Three main categories become relatable dimensions to support the sustainability of Lombok tourism potentials; resources, hope or dreams, and the acts of the Lombok tourism industry. The involvement of local people in its development is referring to the local culture which is Islamic has become the main driver in terms of the sustainability of the Lombok tourism industry. This dimension is creating a sense of ownership for local people and the destination itself. The role of local people in developing Lombok tourism that referring to the Islamic local culture is the key to Lombok tourism sustainability.

English language is essential in the development of tourism. The English language for many years is used as an instructional language in the tourism industry. This paper aims at finding phrases that are needed at the local tourist sites and also to find out local people perspective related to the role of the English language in the tourism industry. This research is qualitative one and in collecting data the researcher applied direct observations and interviews. The results show that many English for tourism phrases in research sites are needed to know by the traders, hotel staff, officers, drivers and all people who live around the tourist sites in Palopo. The result of the study is expected to encourage people around the tourist sites and practitioners to pay attention to the issue of the English language in tourism. Improving collaboration between educational institutions and tourism organizations is needed in the sustainable development of the local tourism industry in Palopo.

Abstract The encounter of the Christian faith with local culture produces dynamic interactions. It can happen that the Christian faith is integrated with that culture. Christian faith can also replace local culture. This is proven when the Christian faith meets the Ma ’nenek culture in Toraja. This research was conducted to find out how the perception and impact of Ma' nenek culture on the Christian faith of the GPSDI Buntuminanga congregation, Toraja. By using a qualitative approach or method, it was found that even though this village became a Christian enclave (100% Christian), it turned out that they still believed in local cultures. These things state that some of the local people are Christians who practice syncretism, that is, there are 2 objects of belief or mixed beliefs. In addition there is also occultism, namely belief in the power of darkness. The presence of Ma' nenek has attracted the attention of the community, especially in Lembang Buntuminanga, that the spirits of the ancestors will come to bless, heal, help and save for families who perform this ritual. The purpose of this culture is as a form of respect for parents. There are still some Christians in Toraja who still believe in the efficacy of rituals in the Ma' nenek. However, in general, Ma' nenek is run by not crashing into the Christian faith in GPSDI Lembang Buntuminaga. Keywords: grandmothers' culture; christian faith; respect for parents Abstrak Pertemuan iman Kristen dengan kebudayaan lokal menghasilkan interaksi yang dinamis. Dapat terjadi bahwa iman Kristen menyatu dengan budaya tersebut. Dapat terjadi juga iman Kristen menggantikan budaya setempat. Hal tersebut yang nampak ketika iman Kristen bertemu dengan kebudayaan Ma’ nenek di Toraja. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi dan dampak kebudayaan Ma’ nenek terhadap iman Kristen jemaat GPSDI Buntuminanga, Toraja. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan atau metode kualitatif, maka didapatkan bahwa sekalipun desa ini menjadi kantong Kristen (100% Kristen), tetapi ternyata mereka masih menganut kepercayaan terhadap budaya-budaya lokal. Hal-hal tersebut menyatakan bahwa sebagian dari masyarakat setempat merupakan orang Kristen yang menjalankan sinkretisme, yakni terdapat 2 objek kepercayaan atau percampuran keyakinan. Di samping itu juga terdapat okultisme, yakni kepercayaaan terhadap kuasa kegelapan. Kehadiran Kebudayan Ma’ nenek telah menarik perhatian masyarakat khususnya di lembang Buntuminanga, bahwa arwah dari leluhur akan datang memberkati, menyembuhkan, menolong dan menyelamatkan bagi keluarga yang melakukan ritual ini. Tujuan dilakukannya kebudayaan ini adalah sebagai bentuk penghormatan terhadap Orang Tua. Masih ada beberapa orang Kristen di Toraja masih percaya dengan keampuhan ritual dalam budaya Ma’ nenek. Namun, secara umum, kebudayaan Ma’ nenek dijalankan dengan tidak menabrak iman Kristen di GPSDI Lembang Buntuminaga. Kata Kunci: kebudayaan ma’ nenek; iman kristen; penghormatan terhadap orang tua

This research aimed to establish a mechanism of evolution of community protection, identify the support of facilities and infrastructure needed in facilitating the implementation of the tasks and functions of Linmas, especially in disaster management and formulate community protection institutions that are appropriate to the needs and capacities of the regions. The research method is carried out by a qualitative approach that is using focus group discussion (FGD) based on experience and perceptions of the benefits and impacts of the community protection unit’s guidance in West Java province. The results show that the community protection institutions are needed in improving the independence of the community in tackling any disaster that is faced by an organization in which at least have the ability and skills in the field: early prevention, peace and orderly of safety fibre, health and psychologist and public and social work. The practical implication of this research is that the local government should empower the community protection unit through the regional work unit or related stakeholders in conducting training and facilitation of training and improving skills so that they can carry out their duties better.

The role of KSPPS Tamzis Bina Utama Wonosobo Branch onWonosobo district revenue through Mudharabah Financing,Discusses how mudharabah financing in KSPPS Tamzis, and howthe role of KSPPS Tamzis Bina Utama Main Branch Wonosoboregional income. Is a field research with qualitative approach. Datacollection through documentation and interviews. Data analysisusing descriptive analysis. Mudharabah financing provided byKSPPS Tamzis Bina Utama Wonosobo Branch to members of thewonosobo community from 2013 to 2017 reached approximately2,117 members. The revenue sharing from the financing ofMudharabah KSPPS Tamzis Wonosobo during the period 20152017 reached Rp. 7,929,109,000. of total mudharabah financingRp. 516.825. 964,374 distributed to members. Thus if mudharabahfinancing distributed by KSPPS Tamzis Wonosobo is increasing,and profits increase, it will increase the tax payments paid to thelocal government of Wonosobo regency. This is where the role ofKSPPS Tamzis Wonosobo through income from mudharabahfinancing, partly paid to the local government of Wonosobo districtas a form of obligation to pay taxes to the local government, thusthereby increasing the regional income of Wonosobo regency.

The planning preparation of an activity is highly recommended in Islamic perspective. The completion of university’s study program does not make the university complete its planning task. The existence of alumni as a necessity of the educational process has an important position and role in Islamic civilization and requires seriousness in planning its development. Currently, exploring concepts from an Islamic perspective is still limited, especially in terms of alumni development. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of alumni in an Islamic perspective and to explain the planning of alumni development in the university. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research. The results of this study are (1) the term ‘alumni’ in the Islamic perspective refers to a monumental event and (2) alumni development planning can use the POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) concept by George Robert Terry where the stages of the flow start from planning, then organizing, then mobilizing and finally monitoring. After knowing the role of alumni is very strategic, it is hoped that alumni development planning in the future will be managed properly and seriously.AbstrakPenyusunan suatu perencanaan kegiatan sangatlah dianjurkan dalam perspektif Islam. Selesainya program pendidikan tinggi tidaklah menjadikan perguruan tinggi tersebut selesai dalam tugas perencanaannya. Keberadaan alumni sebagai satu keniscayaan dari adanya proses pendidikan mempunyai posisi dan peran penting terhadap peradaban Islam dan perlu keseriusan dalam perencanaan pengembangannya. Saat ini, penggalian konsep dari perspektif Islam masih terbatas khususnya dalam hal pengembangan alumni. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan konsep alumni dalam perspektif Islam dan menjelaskan perencanaan pengembangan alumni di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) istilah ‘alumni’ dalam perspektif Islam merujuk kepada kejadian yang monumental dan (2) perencanaan pengembangan alumni dapat menggunakan konsep POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) oleh George Robert Terry yang mana tahapan alurnya dimulai dari perencanaan, lalu pengorganisasian, kemudian penggerakan dan terakhir pengawasan. Setelah mengetahui peran alumni sangat strategis, maka diharapkan perencanaan pengembangan alumni kedepannya dikelola dengan baik dan serius.

Surabaya had a tourism industry sector that people was often known as Kenjeran Park Surabaya.Kenjeran Park was a potential tourism industry, because there was also a culinary tour thatsupportedpeople in spending holiday with their family. In 2017 in Kenjeran Park there is a newtheme park called Atlantis Land Surabaya.The researcher was interested in researching this researchbecause wanted to know the role of public relations Atlantis Land as a relatively new theme park inSurabaya to build its image and become an icon in Kenjeran Park’s.The literature review used is thepublic relations management process. This research used a qualitative approach and uses descriptivetypes of research. This study aims to see the role of Bank Syariah Mandiri Kcp Ulee Kareng in developing halal tourism in the city of Banda Aceh. This study uses a qualitative method using a descriptive analysis approach. This research uses primary data and secondary data, namely by conducting interviews and centering studies and documentation which is analyzed in several stages, namely editing data, classifying, reducing, presenting data, and finally verifying. The results showed that Bank Syariah Mandiri Kcp Ulee Kareng has a role in developing halal tourism, namely in the Culinary Business Sector, Travel Service Providers and Lodging Providers. The financing provided to business actors is the financing of Micro Businesses. With the financing provided by this institution to players in the halal tourism industry, it has an impact on improving the economic welfare of the people.

This research deals with A Role of CSR Programs in Reducing Corporate Social Conflict in Mining Industry (A Study in PT. RAYA, Sumatera Utara). This research was conducted on qualitative approach. The data is obtained by literary studies, interviews and observation. Analysis started with describing motivations and conditions of CSR of PT. RAYA since the beginning until the conflicts appeared. Then, the research was trying to look for the CSR implementation strategy, especially as extractive company which undergo conflict with local people and the obstacles that were found by the company as long as they were implementing their CSR, as an interest conflict belong to miners without permissions, negative stigma from the people also intervention and provocation gotten by program receivers.

This study is aimed to identify regional cooperation models which are implemented by district governments within the framework of regional development, to conduct public service in the border zone, and to evaluate the effectivity of regional cooperation in achieving its goals. This study combines two research methods, i.e. descriptive analysis method with qualitative approach, and evaluation method with formal evaluation approach. Data are collected by conducting Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and supported by secondary data. Results of this study are: (1) implementation of regional cooperation among district governments in East Java and Central Java border zone is applied into regional cooperation boards (BKAD); (2) mutual interest to develop and togetherness in solving problems are basic reasons to make a regional cooperation agreement; (3) regional cooperation effectivity of the border zone is still low, due to sinergity and sincronising problems in development planning among district governments, so they affect cooperation implementation when it comes to technical operational aspects in the sectoral level.Keywords: regional cooperation, public service, regional development, border zone.Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi model kerjasama yang diterapkan oleh kabupaten dalam rangka pembangunan daerah dan pelayanan publik di kawasan perbatasan serta mengevaluasi sejauh mana efektivitas kerjasama itu dibandingkan tujuan dan sasaran yang telah ditetapkan. Studi ini menggunakan perpaduan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode evaluasi dengan pendekatan evaluasi formal. Data dikumpulkan melalui FGD dan data- data sekunder. Hasil studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) praktek kerjasama antardaerah di kawasan perbatasan Jatim dan Jateng diwujudkan dengan membentuk Badan Kerjasama Antar Daerah (BKAD); (2) kepentingan untuk maju bersama dan menyelesaikan masalah secara bersama antardaerah merupakan alasan mendasar terwujudnya kerjasama antardaerah; (3) efektivitas kerjasama tersebut masih rendah, hal ini karena masih adanya kendala sinergitas dan sinkronisasi perencanaan antardaerah sehingga berpengaruh dalam pelaksanaan kerjasama antardaerah ketika sudah menyentuh level teknis operasional di masing-masing sektor. Kata kunci: kerjasama antar daerah, pelayanan publik, pembangunan daerah, kawasan perbatasan.

Abstract. The purposes of these research is to study the change of nayaga’s role buhun music instruments through arts performance. Social role is what society or other group members expect someone to behave in accordance with their social status, makes an individual sometimes have different roles in life, either in society, peer groups or their families. This research used the qualitative approach with descriptive analysis as its methods to describe each role from a cer-tain members in karinding groups outside their activity as a musician, and then data that result-ed from this research would be analyzed using one of Erving Goffman’s theories which called dramaturgy. The research results showed that the role of a member of the musical group ka-rinding in a family environment tend to be change. For individuals who already have families tend not to make the role in his group as the main livelihood, so they have another profession outside the group to be able to support the needs of family life. While for some other members who have a title as a child in their family environment, choose to concentrate in his education as a student. Time management and adaptability when running a role is one thing to note, that in the exercise of its role can be performed optimally.Abstrak. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perubahan peran nayaga alat musik buhun karinding melalui seni pertunjukan. Peran sosial merupakan perilaku yang diharapkan oleh masyarakat atau anggota kelompok lainnya terhadap seorang individu sesuai dengan status sosialnya, membuat seseorang terkadang memiliki berbagai peran dalam kehidupannya, baik masyarakat, kelompok ataupun keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peranan yang dimiliki oleh setiap individu diluar kelompok musik karinding, hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisis menggunakan kajian sosiologi dengan teori dramaturgi dari Erving Goffman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran anggota kelompok musik karinding cenderung berubah. Bagi individu yang telah memiliki keluarga cenderung tidak menjadikan peran dalam kelompoknya sebagai mata pencaharian utama, oleh sebab itu mereka memiliki profesi lain di luar kelompok untuk dapat menunjang kebutuhan hidup keluarga. Sementara bagi sebagian anggota lainnya masih memprioritaskan pendidikannya sebagai pelajar dengan status seorang anak dalam keluarga. Ma-najemen waktu dan penyesuaian diri ketika menjalankan suatu peran merupakan suatu hal yang perlu diperhatikan, agar dalam pelaksanaan perannya dapat dilakukan secara maksimal.
