Academization of art is based on the evolution of thinking and artistic creativity of mankind, which allows considering this process as a global one, both temporally and spatially. However, in musical educational establishments in the process of future musicians training, thinking and creativity of each student is academized separately, which allows us to talk about individual academization. In this aspect, academization is studied for the first time. The article defines characteristic features of individual academization: first, temporary duration – while the global academization lasts for centuries and millennia, the individual academization is limited by the years and decades of learning the art by the individual; secondly, as in the vast majority of cases private academization takes place in educational organizations, it is always artificial in type. At the same time, as the author’s previously published articles demonstrate, artificial academization is more often characterized by the greater number of negative trends (so-called post-academic syndrome) and is more acute (painful) than a natural academization process. This fact requires special attention of specialists to the content of music education and the choice of teaching methods.

The artistic phenomenon of fanfare music for ensembles made up of children and youth has seen a large development in the NV region of the country in recent years, through the enthusiasm of some musicians, teachers or conductors, but also through the openness to culture of some local communities. The assimilation of musical and instrumental notions was done through individual study coordinated by teachers or conductors, and the musical product was assembled in the band, to be presented in concerts and parades. The teaching methods used in the training of these instrumentalists are the methods used in vocational art education, although they studied the instrument as amateurs. The artistic results made the individual products (instrumentalists) become a nursery for music faculties and academies in Transylvania.

The article studies the main courses of evolution of Ossetic children’s literature of the middle of the XX th century as a subsystem of the Ossetic artistic literature in general, namely in the books of S. A. Britaev, the Ossetic writer, storyteller, translator, and publicist. Complex analysis of the author’s fairy tales is given, specifics, «especial artistry» of which lies in their synthetic nature; through the prism of the dialogue of the individual author’s standpoint and the traditional fairy genre-forming elements in various aspects (genre synthesis system of images, stylistic features, and the author’s viewpoint) reveals the artistic world of S. Britaev. The author’s short prose works, including a number of unpublished stories, have been introduced into scientific discourse for the first time on the basis of the archival sources. The main tendencies and characteristic features of the development of this period’s Ossetic children’s literature are traced in researching the originality of the author’s works, such as the synthesis of folklore means with literary ones proper (descriptions, action detailing, psychologism, image plasticity), tendency to change from folklore types-generalizations to creation of individualized characters; from the folk-fantastic forms of narration and traditional ways of transferring the collective point of view of the world to the strengthening of creative self-expression, the originality of the author’s positions.

This paper reviews the traditions of teaching school music in Russia and focuses on the music curriculum for comprehensive schools elaborated by the Russian Academy of Pedagogical Sciences. New teaching methods continue to be developed and, despite economic difficulties in Russia, the number of institutes of higher music education remains high compared to that in other countries. As a result Russia has, perhaps, a greater number of highly-qualified musicians, teachers and performers than any other country in the world.

The nineteenth century introduced developments in science and medicine that made the eradication of pain conceivable for the first time. This new understanding of pain brought with it a complex set of moral and philosophical dilemmas. If pain serves no obvious purpose, how do we reconcile its existence with a well-ordered universe? Examining how writers of the day engaged with such questions, this book offers a compelling new literary and philosophical history of modern pain. The book provides close readings of novelists Charlotte Brontë and Thomas Hardy and political and natural philosophers John Stuart Mill, Harriet Martineau, and Charles Darwin, as well as a variety of medical, scientific, and popular writers of the Victorian age. The book explores how discussions of pain served as investigations into the status of persons and the nature and parameters of social life. No longer conceivable as divine trial or punishment, pain in the nineteenth century came to seem instead like a historical accident suggesting little or nothing about the individual who suffers. A landmark study of Victorian literature and the history of pain, the book shows how these writers came to see pain as a social as well as a personal problem. Rather than simply self-evident to the sufferer and unknowable to anyone else, pain was also understood to be produced between persons—and even, perhaps, by the fictions they read.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the process of generating social meanings on the area of European civilization. Authors assign a separate place to the research of the tendency of increasing social activity in local communities, which accompanies decentralization processes in modern Ukraine. The article analyzes the characteristic features of non-tribes, based on the M. Maffesoli’s concept of “neo-tribalism”, and traces the tendency of reactualization a partly transformed communal way of life of modern tribes. The authors investigate the retrieval of the request for a valuable education in society. It is emphasized on the growing tendency of the filling of the meaning of the professional activity of public administrators, according to the significant request of providing public interests and collective goals by citizens. The authors singled out a new role of public administration — providing public education. In the context of this problem, the authors substantiate the critical need for a successful completion of the authority decentralization reform in Ukraine. Proceeding from the process of neo-tribalism that covers modern Europe, the authors predict the emergence of a new collective identities on the European area. The authors point to a characteristic tendency: Ukrainians are deeply embedded in solving internal problems of society, which manifests in the correction of gaps in cultural and educational policies of past years, self-organization (through volunteer and volunteer movements), civil responsibility for the welfare of their communities, and participation in the management of local affairs. According to the authors, this tendency influences the dominant type of future sociality (it is not the individual “Me”, but “Me as a part of community”).
