The article is devoted to the development and verification of a model for psychodiagnostic forecasting of readiness of military personnel of information and technical units of the Russian aerospace forces to perform combat duty. The longitudinal study used standardized test tools (the method "Motivational profile of the individual", the personal questionnaire "Big five", the method of diagnosing the tendency to deviate behavior, the multi-level personal questionnaire" Adaptability", the method of studying the features of thinking), a questionnaire and expert assessment. Participants were 119 experts and 255 military personnel serving under a contract. The main difference in subgroups of military personnel of various degrees of readiness for combat duty was the presence of purposefulness and awareness of activity. In the regression model of predicting military readiness, the success of activity is associated with the presence of adaptive abilities, consciousness and intellectual potential. Combat readiness is reduced due to the soldier's tendency to aggression and violence, power and recognition, as well as utilitarian motivation. The results of the research allow us to improve the procedure for professional psychological selection of candidates for military service under a contract and preventative work with personnel, optimize training and combat training of military personnel, and ultimately increase the combat readiness of units and formations of constant readiness.

The purpose of this article is to present an empirically-derived psychological readiness model of military personnel to take risks during combat deployment. The model was developed using the methods of semantic differential, peer review, and factor analysis. Its theoretical basis is the concept of “hardiness”. The study involved 104 military personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine had combat experience in the War in Eastern Ukraine. The model includes four components: “Ability for volitional efforts (mobilization)”, “Military brotherhood”, “Professional identity”, “Self-control (endurance)”. Their content covers the emotional-volitional, cognitive, motivational, moral, active-practical, existential-being, and interpersonal-social spheres of the individual. The leading role in the model belongs to strong-willed features, combat cohesion, patriotism, and adaptive resources of the individual, which make it possible to maintain the effectiveness of military personnel’s combat activities under conditions of risk. The basis of the psychological readiness of military personnel to actively act and overcome difficulties in conditions of risk (uncertainty, direct threat to health and life) with the absence of reliable guarantees for success is hardiness. It is suggested that the model can be used for psychological selection procedures, professional and psychological training of military personnel, predicting their behavior under conditions of risk, and developing strategies for psychological support in the post-deployment period. This will reduce psychogenic losses during hostilities.

Abstract This article attempts to point out the issues which make up the literary anthropology of the school of the late 19th and early 20th century. This period deserves special attention for a number of reasons, among them a rapid growth of the educational debate both in Europe and the United States and fundamental changes in the functioning of the educational system, eg. the extension of universal primary education, and the opening up of elementary and secondary schools for girls. All of those developments were not only associated with the idea of modernity but constituted the practical realization of the progressive content of that idea. Our understanding of the anthropology of the school is based the premise that human beings acquire their knowledge (ie. learn and are taught) within an organized educational framework. The issues that this article deals with are directly connected with that institutional framework, ie. the school as an anthropological site, the technology of power, symbolic violence, individual subjectivity, the relationship between the individual and the group, individual and collective identity. The discussion focuses on two books, which are characteristic of their time, Stefan Żeromski’s popular school-novel The Labors of Sisyphus and Janusz Korczak’s utopian novel The School of Life. They both suggest that the institutionalized educational drive of early modernity was aimed at influencing and transforming society through the schooling of individuals. What is striking about Żeromski’s presentation of the school with its mechanism of knowledge as power, used by the Russian authorities to inculcate submission in individuals and in the society at large, is the sheer brazenness of the scheme which tends to neutralize its symbolic violence. By contrast, in Korczak’s novel we find a totally new educational institution based on the principle of treating children as adults. For Korczak a radical respect for the autonomy of child and its individual development was the first step towards social change and the transformation of interpersonal relations. Our analyses demonstrate that fiction was used to examine the paradoxes inherent in institutionalized education at a time when it became one of the most universal forms of everyday praxis

There are many examples of crises and catastrophes in the history of mankind. Almost the entire spectrum of natural disasters is possible in Kazakhstan. In particular, earthquakes, floods, fires in forests and steppes, snowstorms, and others. In all mountain and foothill zones, there is a danger of landslides, the threat of snow drift. In addition, there are situations that have arisen for man-made reasons. These catastrophes are the result of human activity. Such extreme situations require the concentration of all physical and psychological capabilities of a person. This is especially important for military personnel who often operate in extreme or critical conditions. Psychological readiness to solve such situations gives the individual confidence in the correctness of their own actions and, in the end, leads to a successful result. The purpose of this article is to present the results of research in the framework of a master's thesis. The main focus is on the analysis of the features of psychological training of military personnel to act in an extreme situation. The studied problem is revealed by the authors from the point of view of modern approaches to the psychological training of military personnel in a critical situation. The research methods used (analysis, generalization, experiment) allowed us to reveal the depth of the problem relevant to military psychology. The research is based on the results of modern research by Kazakh and foreign scientists. Approaches to the interpretation of the essence of the content of the concept "extreme situation" are considered, and the factors that determine the specifics of psychological training of military personnel to act in a crisis are highlighted. The concept of "psychological readiness of military personnel to work in critical (extreme) situations" is defined. Statistical results of the experiment are presented. The experimental activity carried out in the course of experimental work has a high practical significance, since it was successfully tested through the implementation of the work of the military unit 3176 "K" in Pavlodar and can be used in the psychological training of military personnel. The article is devoted to the actual problem of psychology. The results presented in the article may be useful for military psychologists.

Especially for laymen, interpersonal relationships seem to be clumsy and chaotic. Due to the dynamics, uniqueness, emotionality and embedding of interpersonal relations in various situational contexts, they elude the scientific objective perspective of the approach. However, social sciences have generated a number of approaches that allow researchers to see it in a more coherent and research-operational way. Some of them are mentioned in the article. The semantic-linguistic approach is fertile and promising. I evoke them by citing two metaphors: organic and dramatic by Erving Goffman. I also pay attention to the individual and social nature of the conceptual category of the reflected self (Charles Cooley), which reveals the individual-social nature of this concept. Yet another is the much explaining the labeling approach of Howard Becker, the role of expectations (Robert Rosenthal) and the significant current of ethno-methodology. In addition to these well-known perspectives, new ones have emerged in recent years. These include the stigmatizing approach introduced by Goffman in the 1970s, but which has found new theoretical and research continuations today. Reaching for emotions is something completely new, especially in sociology. I am referring here to the importance of the emotion of shame as the most fundamental emotion in the terms of Thomas Scheff.
