The main factor that conditions the success of organizations is the development of products oriented toward customer satisfaction. An additional attribute of organizations is the use of sustainable development rules. The use of these rules and the simultaneous desire to create high-quality products encourage organizations to apply different methods to, for example, eliminate waste. This study aimed to develop a method to determine the research sample size required to predict a product’s quality level, taking into account current customers’ expectations. This method was developed by modifying a procedure to determine the research sample size as part of the calculated estimator of the mean value in the general population. Based on the concept of product sustainability development, the goal of the developed method was to determine the number of potential customers (respondents) needed to provide product requirements, which were then processed and used to predict the quality level of the product. This method was applied to simultaneously test a number of hypotheses, determine the test power, and detect statistically significant differences for several relationships of the sample sizes and the test power. This was achieved using universal hypotheses and the popular alternative-punctual (MAP) method. Testing of the proposed method showed that it was able to predict the quality level of products based on current expectations of customers.

In the world, product quality has long been one of the major instruments for ensuring the economic development of companies. Achieving high quality parameters, in turn, is an important part of the economic strategy of any success-oriented business organization. The article is aimed at developing directions for improving products of PJSC «Beer and Non-Alcoholic Plant «Radomyshl». The object of the research is the quality of beer produced by PJSC «Beer and Non-Alcoholic Plant «Radomyshl». The assessment of the quality level of the selected product in accordance with the requirements of DSTU 3888:2015 was carried out using the following groups of indicators: microbiological, organoleptic and physic-chemical. The process of assessing the product quality parameters is presented, which consists of seven consecutive stages and is carried out throughout the product life cycle. The factors under the influence of which the quality of products are formed and which may cause deviation from the specified quality parameters are analyzed and structured. The defects that appear due to these factors have been identified. The basis for improving the quality of products is primarily a thorough study of changes in demand for the business organization products. Three groups of measures are singled out, with the help of which one can achieve the desired level of product quality, namely: technological, organizational and socio-economic. A complex of priority measures to improve the quality of products of PJSC «Beer and Non-Alcoholic Plant «Radomyshl» is proposed. The element of scientific novelty is the development of an algorithm for the implementation of measures to improve the quality of products. During the implementation of measures to improve the quality, it is necessary to carry out systematic monitoring and generate reports on the implementation of the project in order to make possible an adjustment of the final result.

The article proposes a conceptual model to examine the relationships between service attributes, brand associations, customer satisfaction, commitment, price of membership, and intention to repurchase in a fitness club. The results show that the services offered by the club, its security, and the promoted image of the club impact positively on satisfaction. The customer relations at the club, customer commitment, and their frequency of weekly attendance have a positive direct effect on intention to repurchase. Perceived price has a negative direct influence. Finally, the research showed that overall satisfaction has a slight positive impact on frequency of attendance. These findings create a paradox for managers of health and fitness organizations who will have to balance the need to increase frequency of attendance to positively impact on intention to repurchase with the need to deliver the service attributes that affect satisfaction and intention to repurchase at high quality level.

PurposeEquipment reliability significantly impacts productivity, and in order to obtain high equipment reliability and productivity, maintenance and production decision should be made simultaneously to keep manufacturing system healthy. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the joint optimization of equipment maintenance and production decision fork-out-of-nsystem equipment with attenuation of product quality and to explore the impact of maintenance on the production and cost control for manufacturers.Design/methodology/approachA multi-period Markov chain model fork-out-of-nsystem equipment is set up based on the assumption that the deterioration of equipment is a pure birth process. Then, the maintenance cost, setup cost, inventory holding cost, shortage cost, production cost and the quality cost are analyzed with the uncertain demand and the attenuation of product quality stemmed from equipment deterioration. The total lowest cost per unit time and its specific calculation method are presented. Finally, the robustness and flexibility of the method are verified by a numerical example and the effects of equipment deterioration intensity and attenuation of product quality are analyzed.FindingsThe result shows that the joint decision model could not only satisfy the uncertain demand with low cost and strong robustness but also make the output products high quality level. In addition, the attenuation of product quality would influence the equipment maintenance and production decision and leads to the production waste and increases the operation cost greatly.Originality/valueImplications derived from this study can help production maintenance managers and reliability engineers adequately select maintenance policy to improve the equipment efficiency and productivity with high quality level at a relatively low cost.

The relevance of structuring relations in the field of civil law is determined by the forms of interaction between the subjects that were the initiators of the termination of legal relations. In this regard, the issues of maintaining relations, which could be continued in the future, are regulated on the basis of other contractual relations. With that, the works of legal scholars do not always provide sufficient grounds to propose points of fixation of the termination of relations. In this regard, the establishment of the meaning of legal facts for the formation of high-quality relationships between legal subjects after the termination of interaction remains very relevant. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that for the first time the aspects of creating and consolidating forms that would ensure sustainable development and minimize conflicts after termination of contractual relations are considered in civil law. The authors of the paper analyze the current legislative provisions and determine the direction of its development in the context of globalization. The article explores the theoretical construct of these relations and provides an analysis of civil legislation as applied to industry standards of economic legislation. The practical significance of the study is determined by the fact that the application of the developed provisions will facilitate the harmonization of national legislations in the formation of bloc legal systems.

Abstract. UDASH (Unified Database for Arctic and Subarctic Hydrography) is a unified and high-quality temperature and salinity data set for the Arctic Ocean and the subpolar seas north of 65∘ N for the period 1980–2015. The archive aims at including all publicly available data and so far consists of 288 532 oceanographic profiles measured mainly with conductivity–temperature–depth (CTD) probes, bottles, mechanical thermographs and expendable thermographs. The data were collected by ships, ice-tethered profilers, profiling floats and other platforms. To achieve a uniform quality level, suitable for a wide range of oceanographic analyses, approximately 74 million single measurements of temperature and salinity were thoroughly quality checked. A large number of duplicate and erroneous profiles were detected and not included in the archive. Data outliers were flagged for quick identification. The final archive provides a unique and simple way of accessing most of the available temperature and salinity data for the Arctic Ocean and can be downloaded from https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.872931.

Background: The potential of digital technologies is far from being exhausted for patients. The regulatory framework becomes a brake on innovation due to digitalisation, but also due to the trend towards individualisation. Strategies, corporate culture and processes, which are necessary for the design of high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services, are still lacking in many healthcare providing organisations. Health Services 4.0 and patient integration as leverage: With Health Services 4.0 it is possible to improve the outcome of the individual healthcare service and meet the regulatory requirements. This requires the capabilities of the provider to dynamically balance exploitation and exploration. The challenges are to develop innovations in a continuously changing working environment and/or to adapt (medical) technical innovations into their own service processes. Conclusion: This article is focused on hypotheses of cause-and-effect analyses formulated as scenarios, related to the implementation of digital technologies in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness for a high medical expertise as well as for a higher level of service quality. The output is a more detailed analysis of key value drivers, success factors as well as internal and external value generators for the design of Health Services 4.0. Up to now many issues regarding the use of digital technologies are still only partly analysed and not yet proved for a more efficient care on high-quality level. The company's capacity for ambidexterity is becoming an important dynamic capability, with on one hand flexibility for new developments and on the other hand stability for hard factors in physical value chains and soft factors in value-oriented attitudes and behaviour based on empathy. This article was previously published in German in "Monitor Versorgungsforschung" under the original title " Personalisierung von Behandlungspfaden – Das Potenzial digitaler Technologien". This translated version faithfully reflects the authors, data, and interpretations of the original.

Diagnostics in the practice of a dentist is the key to quality treatment. However, depending on the quality of services provided, the cost of diagnostic methods is set. For a dentist working in a private office, the key to successful diagnostic measures at a high quality level is a priority. However, these methods are expensive for the patient. The purpose of this study is to study the impact of financial incentives on the quality of early diagnosis in the practice of a dentist who provides quality treatment. In the study, we studied clinical cases with full and partial study in terms of diagnostic and neglect x-ray diagnosis from the doctor and from the patient due to a misunderstanding of the importance and necessity of this manipulation. In statistical data analysis, the resulting regression models use a binary variable as a dependent variable on the level of financial costs. Thus, in the course of our research, we found that the number of x-rays significantly increases when dentists receive a fee for services, rather than a salary, and when patients are exempt from paying for additional diagnostic methods. Our results show that financial incentives significantly influence additional high-quality and complete examination of patients.
