A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar as concepções de estudantes do Ensino Médio da rede pública sobre as estratégias metodológicas do Centro Juvenil de Ciência e Cultura de Senhor do Bonfim, BA, compreendido como espaço não formal de ensino e aprendizagem em Ciências. Utilizamos uma metodologia de caráter exploratório e cunho qualitativo, que teve como instrumento de produção e de coleta dados um questionário fechado, que aplicado após a realização de uma oficina na área de Ciências. As oficinas integraram as ações metodológicas para poder compreender como aquele espaço se configura na ótica dos estudantes como um lócus não formal de aprendizagem, em se tratando das questões relativas à área do ensino de Ciências. Como resultados preliminares percebemos a importância que o referido Centro Juvenil logra no processo educacional dos sujeitos envolvidos.Palavras-chave: Estratégias Didáticas. Espaço não formal. Analisa o processo de escolha profissional de secundaristas, alunos da rede pública e particular da cidade de Recife, partindo do relatório da evasão da Universidade do Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Apesar da relevância das variáveis apresentadas, esta pesquisa atém-se ao processo de escolha profissional, apoiada na hipótese de que este pode ser um dos pontos de origem deste fenômeno. A amostra constituiu-se de 360 alunos, do segundo e terceiro anos, de nove escolas, divididas em três categorias: tradicional, voltada para o vestibular e pública. Os instrumentos de investigação foram questionários e entrevistas semidirigidas, aplicadas a 10% da amostra. Para seleção, observou-se os critérios: escola, gênero e ano escolar. Foram realizadas análises estatística e qualitativa dos dados. Esta última foi resultado do conteúdo emergente no discurso, cuja referência teórica foi a Psicanálise. Orientadores e psicólogos, também, foram entrevistados. Os resultados demonstram que estudantes de todas as categorias de escola fazem a escolha profissional com elementos pouco consistentes, enquanto orientadores e psicólogos exercem uma pluralidade de funções que os desviam da sistematização de um trabalho estruturado sobre a Orientação Profissional. Abstract This research analyzed high school students ' process of professional choice - students from private and public schools in Recife - based on the report on drop-out in the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Despite of the relevance of the variables put forward, the research concentrated on the process of professional choice, supported by the hypothesis that this process might be at the origin of this phenomenon. The sample included 360 students from the second and third year (second grade of the Brazilian high school system), in nine schools, divided in three categories: the traditional one, the one which prepares for the "vestibular" (Brazilian university entrance examination) and the public one. The data included: questionnaires and partly guided interviews applied to 10% of the sample. As for the selection, the following criteria were observed: school, sex and academic year. The data were analyzed statistically and qualitatively. The latter analysis was based on the emerging content from the interviews, and psychoanalysis served as a theoretical background. Supervisors and psychologists were also interviewed. The results revealed that the students in all school categories make a professional choice with very little consistent elements, while the supervisors and psychologists have a varied and large number of tasks preventing them from having a systematization of a well structured work on professional advisory system. Résumé Cette recherche a analysé le processus du choix que font les lycéens de leur métier. Ces lycéens appartiennent au réseau public et particulier de la ville de Recife. Nous nous sommes basés sur le rapport qui montre l'évasion de l'Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Malgré l'importance des variables présentées, cette recherche n 'a analysé que le processus de choix d'un métier et s'est basée sur l'hypothèse que ce processus peut être l'un des points d'origine de ce phénomène. L'échantillon était constitué de 360 élèves de deuxième et troisième années de neuf écoles divisées en trois catégories: traditionnelle, tournée vers le baccalauréat et publique. Nos instruments d'investigations ont été les suivants: des questionnaires et des entrevues semi-dirigées, appliqués à 10% de l'échantillon. Pour la selection on a observé les critères suivants: école, genre et année scolaire. On a effectué des analyses statistiques et qualitatives des données. Ces dernières ont été le résultat du contenu émergeant dans le discours dont la référence théorique a été la Psychanalyse. Des orienteurs et des psychologues ont été interviewés aussi. Les résultats démontrent que des lycéens de toutes les catégories d'école font le choix de leur métier basés sur des éléments peu consistants alors que les orienteurs et les psychologues exercent une pluralité de fonctions qui les dévient de la systématisation d'un travail structuré sur l'orientation professionnelle. Resumen Esta pesquisa analiso el proceso de elección profesional de alumnos de liceo de la red pública y particular de la ciudad de Recife. Partió del informe de la evasión de la Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Apesar de la importancia de las variables presentadas, esta pesquisa se basó en el proceso de elección profesional y en la hipótesis de que éste puede ser uno de los puntos de origen de éste fenómeno. La muestra se constituyó de 360 alumnos del segundo y del tercer año de nueve escuelas divididas en tres categorías: tradicional, volcada para el Bachirellato y pública. Los instrumentos de investigación fueron questionários y entrevistas aplicadas a 10% de la muestra. Para selección, obervamos los critérios siguientes: escuela, género y año escolar. Estas últimas fueron resultado del contenido que inmergió en el discurso cuya referencia teórica fue la Psicoanálisis. Orientadores y psicólogos fueron también entrevistados. Los resultados demostraron que los alumnos de todas las categorías de escuela elijen su profesión con elementos poco consistentes, mientras orientadores y psicólogos ejercen una pluralidad de funciones que los desvían de la sistematización de un trabajo estructurado sobre la orientación profesional.

Basically, humans want to get recognition from others. One way is to score achievements so that they can be recognized by others. For high school students, the teacher's role in helping them score achievements is very important, because the teacher will be the first to introduce, teach and guide their students to understand, understand and score achievements. The method used in this study is the interpersonal communication approach that is centered on interpersonal attraction, strung carrot strategy and sword depending on the teacher's strategy to support student achievement. This research uses a qualitative approach. While the technique of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that interpersonal attraction between teacher and students and the provision of rewards as an implementation of the strung carrot strategy can provide more motivation for students in teaching and learning activities to score achievements, while punishment can motivate learning to avoid punishment and not to score achievements. Pada dasarnya manusia ingin mendapatkan pengakuan dari orang lain. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan mencetak prestasi agar dapat diakui oleh orang lain. Bagi siswa SMA, peran guru dalam membantu mereka mencetak prestasi sangatlah penting, karena guru akan menjadi orang pertama yang memperkenalkan, mengajar dan membimbing siswanya untuk mengerti, memahami dan mencetak prestasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan pendekatan komunikasi interpersonal yang berpusat pada atraksi interpersonal, strategi wortel teruntai dan pedang tergantung dalam strategi guru untuk menunjang prestasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sementara teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan adanya atraksi interpersonal antara guru dan murid serta pemberian reward sebagai implementasi dari strategi wortel teruntai dapat memberikan motivasi yang lebih bagi siswa dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar untuk mencetak prestasi, sedangkan punishment dapat memberi motivasi belajar untuk menghindari hukuman dan bukan untuk mencetak prestasi.

This preliminary study investigates the Saudi public high school student deficiencies in speaking English and seeks ways to improve the curriculum opportunities for students in English-speaking classrooms. Saudi public schools aim to educate students to use English in real-life communication. However, the majority of Saudi high school students graduate with low levels of understanding and competence in communicating in English. This pilot study examines the strategies that Saudi high school teachers and students have followed to teach and learn English in public schools and investigates their beliefs about effective teaching and learning strategies. The study is based on a questionnaire. Ninety female students of years seven, eight, and nine and their six teachers were drawn from two public schools in Riyadh. The findings of this study reflect the importance of collaborative work between stakeholders including supervisors, teachers, parents, and students. In addition, they emphasize that besides the teachers’ beliefs, learners’ needs and expectations should be taken into account, to increase the likelihood of a more productive and successful learning environment. The consensus was that the best results are achieved when interesting activities and interactive teaching strategies are used to support the mandatory course-book.

The article presents the structure, content and results of approbation of the C++ programming course developed for the 10th grade students of physics and mathematics profile and implemented as part of the academic subject “Informatics”. The aim of the course is to develop in the student not only knowledge and skills in programming, but also his algorithmic culture and programming culture as important qualities of a potential IT-specialist. This is facilitated by special control of educational process by the teacher, which consists in monitoring the activities of students in writing programs and timely correction of this activity. The assessment of the level of development of student algorithmic culture and programming culture relative to the basic level of their formation (when mastering the basics of algorithmization and programming in the 9th grade) was carried out on the basis of a number of criteria presented in the article. The results of approbation showed that the specially organized teacher activity makes it possible to increase the level of algorithmic culture and programming culture of high school students when studying the basics of programming in C++.

The study deals with the Contextual Teaching and Learning of the students’ reading comprehension at junior high school. Contextual Teaching and Learning is a new alternative for every teachers to relate the materials to the real world. The aims of the research are to analyze the effect of non and CTL method of the students’ reading comprehension.  The research method is an experimental method. The data analysis is taken from the two classess. Then, they divided into two  groups, the control and experimental group. The major findings of the study shows that the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning on the students’ reading comprehension is better than the non CTL method-lecture method for the junior high school students.

Raising the level of digital education is one of the main challenges facing the education system now and in the future. The use of modern technical means in the learning process is an important prerequisite for achieving this ambitious goal. However, this must go hand in hand with the introduction of new scientific methods and teaching approaches. This article presents different approaches which the author has applied in her practice with high school students. It proves the benefit of their implementation in the educational process.

Background: Developing autonomy, the ability to solve problem situations, make decisions and act for the benefit of your social environment are modern life skills and can be developed in the school environment, along with mathematical content, and can be viable through the methodology of project projects, using active methodologies and the resources of digital technologies. Objectives: Discuss the Mathematics Curriculum or the work projects as a pedagogical proposition based on the development of three projects with the thematic Cryptography, Music, and Project launching applicable to the High School. Design: Qualitative research that sought to investigate work with projects in High School was used. Setting and Participants: Experiments developed with two classes of high school students in the Rio Grande do Sul state. Data collection and analysis: Data collection took place during the development of the project stages through students' written records and questionnaires. Results: It is considered that the Work Projects developed constituted a possibility to modify the role of the student and the teacher, allowing students to become active, participative, and committed to the development of their knowledge. Conclusions: It is understood that students, their learning and development must be the focus of the educational process. Therefore, the school curriculum must enable students to assume the role and responsibility for their learning.

The study aimed to identify the level of social support (support by friends, support from the family, support by the teacher), and to analyze the relationship between social support and achievement among students of High school students in government schools. The study followed descriptive analytical approach based on a questionnaire applied to 137 students of Karak government schools. The study found that the students get moderate level of social support; the study showed that the level of friends support came first, followed by teacher support, followed by family support, and found a relationship between social support and achievement in Students of Karak government schools. In light of the results, the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is to sensitize parents and faculty members about the importance of social support.
