Para este debate, será feito um estudo de trabalhos já concluídos no período da pandemia e documentos oficiais. The article focuses on the problems of teaching social studies at high school. The author tries to actualize the use of gaming technologies during lessons. The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the game in teaching social studies to schoolchildren. During social studies lessons, it is necessary to use various teaching methods, one of which is the game. Thanks to the game, the theoretical knowledge gained during the lesson will be much better assimilated by students. Also, thanks to game technologies, it is possible to solve the problem of educational motivation of schoolchildren; it will be interesting for any student to participate in a game. Play activity today is of great importance in the development and education of the individual, as it gives each child an opportunity to feel themselves as a subject of a certain type of activity, to express themselves, to form thier own abilities. During the game, an intellectually passive student can perform such a volume of work that is completely inaccessible to them in a traditional educational situation. In scientific and other pedagogical studies related to play activities, one can find the concept of an "emotional accelerator" of learning. In addition to theoretical research, the article describes a pedagogical experiment, in which 20 students of 10th grades took part. The article says that using various play forms and methods it is possible to alternate between “serious” and “frivolous” work, and thereby ensure sustained attention to the studied material in the classroom, and the study of the course “Social Studies” at high school is a vital necessity. It is important to provide quality education using various active methods and techniques, in particular, using the form of business games.

The objective of this research is to know new decisions about the teaching and learning process in the context of the pandemic in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. The pandemic suspended classroom classes at more than 200 schools, causing the reorganization of pedagogical practices in distance education. The result was the applicability of the Special Regime of Non-Attendance Classes adopted by the Government of Amazonas (Aula em Casa Project). It is concluded that new directions can be taken from formal education in view of this new reality.

The paper presents the current scenario of education in India and as examined the rural areas of Patna district area becoming nastiest in spite of initiatives taken and expenses made by the government in this regard. This paper used some statistical measures to evaluate the purpose of the right to education, which is not mere providing education but to provide the right to receive an education of good quality to every child. A quality education is maintained by three key columns viz. providing quality teachers, providing quality resources and by providing secure and compassionate atmosphere. In the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti's earthquake, the Government of Haiti faced massive reconstruction needs in all sectors. As part of the response of the Government of Haiti to the massive reconstruction needs, from 2010 to 2020, the IDB designed a series of grant operations plus seven co-financings designed to support a wider School Reconstruction Program. These operations achieved the (re)construction of 90 public schools countrywide, which resulted in the creation of approximately 1,000 classrooms and 40,000 seats, providing a safer and comfortable learning environment for approximately 60,000 children each school year.

The 1984-85 miners’ strike in defence of collieries, jobs and communities was an unsuccessful attempt to reverse the change in economic direction driven in the UK by Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative governments. The government was committed to removing workforce voice from the industry. Its struggle against the miners was a war against the working class more generally. Mining communities were grievously affected in economic terms by the strike and its aftermath, but in the longer run emerged with renewed solidarity. Gender relations, evolving from the 1960s as employment opportunities for women increased, changed in further progressive ways. This strengthened the longer-term cohesion of mining communities. The strike had a more general and lasting political impact in Scotland. The narrative of a distinct Scottish national commitment to social justice, attacked by a UK government without democratic mandate, drew decisive moral force from the anti-Thatcherite resistance of men and women in the coalfields. This renewed the campaign for a Scottish Parliament, which came to successful fruition in 1999.

Distance education is experiencing rapid growth in academic institutions. Faculty and students accept Distance Education (DE) as an alternative to classroom instruction. In this chapter, the authors discuss emerging issues concerning DE and how they have affected traditional education in the LIS school. Regardless of the form of education delivered, the essential purposes of instruction remain unchanged: disseminating knowledge and providing quality education for students.

Chapter 1 gives an overview of the history and current status of the education system in India. It identifies parts of the society whom Article 21A is primarily aimed at, and what the most pressing issues to be addressed in the field of primary and lower secondary education are. It is quite clear that those who might profit from having a right to education are those who do not have the means to already afford quality education for themselves by obtaining it from the private market and who are, therefore, dependent on some form of state action. Strangely, it will be shown, even after years of education being a fundamental right, decent-quality education is still not seen as a ‘public good’ that the state ought to provide for free but something that is supposed to be obtained from the market, with the government education system being considered as something ‘meant for (very) poor children’.

This study examined supervisory strategies as correlates of quality education among secondary schools in Ibadan southwest local government area of Oyo State. Simple random sampling technique was used to select thirty schools (public and private) and three hundred respondents consisting of 200 teachers from public schools, 80 teachers from private schools and 20 supervisors from Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) was used to test the four hypotheses(P < 0.05)  Multiple Regression was used to determine the contribution of independent variables (Supervisory strategies) both jointly and individually to dependent variable (quality education). Results revealed that two of the supervisory strategies (companionable and synergistic) have positive and significant correlation  on quality education (r =0.853) and (r = 0.783) while authoritarian strategy had negative  correlation, laissez faire had no significant relationship on quality education (r = -0.522 and r = -0.200)respectively. The joint contribution of the four supervisory strategies to the prediction of quality  education in secondary schools was also significant (F (4,295) = 261.225).The paper concludes  with some recommendations to the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the Government. Pre-school gives an orientation to a child before it goes to a formal school. Studies also suggest that enrolment in pre-school education can enhance children’s cognitive skills, literacy and social skills, necessary for success as well as promoting school achievement in the elementary grades retention and increase levels of school attainment (Schweinhart et. al., 1993; Campbell & Ramey, 1994; Reynolds et. al.,1996; Ou, 2003. There is scarcity of quality preschools in Bangladesh though there are a large number of preschools all over the country. In the absence of clear government policy and guidelines, these schools are conducted as private properties by individuals and groups who run these on a commercial basis and fail to provide quality education. This study aims at investigating the obstacles to effective management of preschools and the development of a model of establishing a large number of preschools at the initiative of the private sector under the patronage of the government. Data collection and the subsequent analyses were guided by qualitative research methods against the theoretical framework of Leaver’s (2011) “experiential education”. From this research 4 themes were derived, namely (1) Quality management (2) Quality teacher (3) Quality Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and (4 Quality leadership of the Principal.   Keywords - Pre-school, quality education, cognitive skills, social skills, effective management, commercial basis.
