The aim is to find out the relationship of family support with the level of self esteem (self-esteem) in stroke patients at the Royal Prima Medan Hospital in 2019. The design used a "cross sectional study" approach with a population of 2,690 people. Samples were stroke patients at RSU Royal Prima medan, as many as 25 respondents using accidental sampling techniques and questionnaires as research instruments. The test used is the chi-square test. The results of the study Based on the chi-square test found p value (<0.05) statistically shows that there is a relationship between family support and the level of self esteem (self-esteem) in stroke patients specifically there is a relationship between informational support (p-value = 0.009), assessment support (p-value = 0.003), Instrumental support is obtained (p-value = 0.009), Emotional support (p-value = 0.004) with the level of self esteem (self-esteem) in stroke patients. Stroke is a condition of brain experiencing neurodegenerative disorders such as local or global, occuring in sudden emergence, progressive, and fast. Impaired nerve function in stroke caused by circulatory disorders of the brain non-traumatic. Post-stroke patients need support and help the family in the treatment himself. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with self-care skills  in patients with post-stroke. The study design is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The study populations were 40 people and samples of this study were all post-stroke patients who were undergoing rehabilitation of physiotherapy with drawn by saturated sampling technique. The results showed that 47.5% of respondents got enough family support, and 55% of respondents have the ability of self-care with some aid. Based on the test results from Spearman Rank correlation, family support with self-care skills  has a correlation coefficient of 0.38 and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.01, meaning there is a relationship between family support and self-care skills on post-stroke patients in the Royal Prima Hospital Medan. In conclusion, this study shows that family support and self-care skills strongly influence at the level of the patient's recovery. The data were collected by questionnaires and held in April 2016. Data analysis using chi-square test with significance level of 5%. Results of the study revealed that good family support (55,9%) and negative self-concept (65,6%). The result of statistical test family support with self-concept value p=0,004 (p<0,05) It means there was significant relationship the family support with self-concept in stroke patients in Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. It was expected to nurses improve service to patients, motivate and assistsick family members and nurses work with the famiies in maintaining self concept patients. Kata Kunci   : DukunganKeluarga; Konsep Diri; Pasien Stroke The Effect of Family Support on Self-Concept of Stroke Patients Who Have Paralysis at the Nerve Polyclinic of the National Stroke HospitalBukittinggi Year 2018 ABSTRACT            According to a 2015 survey, strokes are the number one killer in Government hospitals throughout Indonesia. More than 550,000 people were stroked. This research is a quasi-experimental pre and post one group design. The population in this study were 366 stroke patients who entered the National Stroke Hospital in Bukittinggi with Accidential Sampling sampling techniques. This study was conducted in June 2017 - June 2018. The results of the T-test for family support for stroke patients before and after the implementation of health counseling obtained p-value 0,000 (α≤0,05) which means that there was a significant difference between family support given in stroke patients before and after health education. The T-test results on the self-concept of stroke patients before and after obtaining p-value 0,000 (α≤ 0,05) means that there is a significant difference between the self-concept of stroke patients before and after the research. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of family support on the self-concept of stroke patients who experience paralysis at the Neural Stroke Clinic of Bukittinggi National Stroke Hospital marked by p-value 0,000 (α (0,05). I hope health workers need to provide health education about the care of stroke patients who experience paralysis and about how stroke patients maintain themselves.Kata Kunci     : Family Support; self-concept; stroke patients

Family support is the help provided by the family to family members in need when facing problems whereas compliance is the extent to which the patient's behavior is in accordance with the provisions provided by the health professional. The design of this study is correlational. The goal is to find out the relationship of family support with the compliance of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy. Sampling using purposive sampling technique amounted to 22 respondents who were a family of stroke patients who did physiotherapy at RSUD Kutacane, Southeast Aceh Regency. The compliance rate of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy in the hospital is about 72.7% where families who provide support as much as 77.3%. Based on the results of the analysis with fisher's exact test obtained the value P (fisher) = 0.000. Then there is a relationship between family support and the compliance of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy. These results show that if the family provides good support, then the patient's compliance with physiotherapy will be better as well. Based on the results of this study, the family should be able to provide support to patients. It is expected that the H. Sahudin of Southeast Aceh Regency Hospital, Educational Institutions and other related institutions will develop a permanent procedure on providing health education to patients and their families, especially about the importance of family support in the recovery of the patient's health.
