AbstractDiabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that is closely related to lifestyle. This disease is exprienced by many people in the world. The family has to provide support that can have a positive impact on dietary complience. It can be in the form of being able to control what can be consumed according to the recommendations of health workers during the diet, reminding each other, and providing support to family members who are on a diabetes mellitus diet. To determine the description of family support and dietary complience in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The research method used in this study was a literature review by conducting an online searh from the Medline database source and the Garuda portal. There were 5 articles found that matched the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that 361 respondents (52,7%) had good family support and 432 respondents (63%) had non-adherent dietary compliance levels. Good family support can prevent complications and help treatment so that patients are more enthusiastic and can carry out activites as usual. Dietary non-compliance can delay the patient’s recovery. Familly support, although it is good, does not guarantee that dietary complience will also be good. Other factors can affect dietary complience, such as age, education, and occupation. Keywords: Type 2 diabetes mellitus; family suppor; dietary complience   AbstrakDiabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang berhubungan erat dengan pola hidup, penyakit ini banyak dialami oleh penduduk di dunia. This study aimed to investigate subjective health and its associations with perceived body image (body appearance and body functioning), physical activity, perceived wellbeing in school, perceived family financial situation, and body mass index among 13- to 15-year-old boys and girls. The study was a cross-sectional study performed in four municipalities in Southern Sweden. Data were obtained from questionnaires completed by adolescents (median age 14; range: 13–15) in Sweden (n = 1518, 51% girls), with a participation rate of 73%. Body weight and body height were measured by school nurses and body mass index was calculated. Logistic regression analyses were carried out with subjective health as the dependent variable. Independent variables included in the model were perceived wellbeing in school, perceived family financial situation, perceived body image, physical activity, body mass index, sex, and residency. Variables significantly associated with good subjective health were good wellbeing in school, a perceived good family financial situation, perceived positive body appearance, perceived positive body functioning, being a boy, and high physical activity. Residency and body mass index were not associated with subjective health. Good subjective health is associated with good wellbeing in school, good family financial situation, positive body image, and high physical activity levels. The results highlight the importance of good school climates, the promotion of positive body image, and increased physical activity for adolescents.

The critical care room is an independent hospital with special staff and special equipment for observation, care and therapy of patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses, injuries or complications. Families in critical rooms usually experience anxiety, fear, and panic. One of the efforts to reduce anxiety is to get closer to God Almighty to increase spirituality. The review aims to obtain information about the spiritual level with anxiety in patients' families in critical care rooms at the hospital. A systematic review was carried out using the PRISMA (Prefered Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis) reporting technique with article selection using eligibility criteria. Search journals using Elsevier, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, Springer, and ProQuest databases from June to July 2021. Using English keywords, three journals are obtained; through Indonesian, six journals are obtained. The results of nine journals that have been analyzed by researchers as a whole are 57.5% of good family spiritual and 52.5% moderate family anxiety. This decrease in anxiety was caused by the spiritual services provided to respondents in the form of praying. The spiritual approach can be used as input for nurses to provide interventions to all patients' families in the hospital, especially those who experience anxiety.

Background: Stigma is a barrier to schizophrenia recovery; thus, screening the factors that affect stigma experienced by patients with schizophrenia and exploring the interactions between each factor are critical for improved treatment. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the relationship between quality of life (QoL), family dynamics, and stigma in patients with schizophrenia. Methods: A total of 447 participants with schizophrenia were recruited in the study, namely, 281 community patients and 166 inpatients. Three scales, Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale (SQLS), Self-rating Scale of Systemic Family (SSFD), and Stigma Scale for Mental Illness (SSMI), were, respectively, used to evaluate three variables: QoL, family dynamics, and stigma. The correlations between each factor in these three scales were evaluated by Spearman's rank correlation analysis. A mediation model was constructed to investigate whether QoL mediated the relationship between stigma and family dynamics. Results: Correlation analysis revealed that most variables in these three scales correlated significantly with each other. Mediational regression analyses indicated that the degree of stigma was affected by family dynamics; that is, good family dynamics predicted less stigma. Surprisingly, we found that a worse QoL was associated with less stigma, and this led to good family dynamics being related to a worse QoL. These findings further suggested that QoL had a mediating effect on the relationship between family dynamics and stigma. Conclusions: This study suggested that more attention should be focused on the multifactorial influence of stigma on patients with schizophrenia. Integrated and personalized interventions regarding QoL and family dynamics can be tailored for patients with schizophrenia to reduce self-stigma.

Introduction: Elderly are individuals who are vulnerable and at risk of experiencing health problems related to nutritional status. Families who live together are expected to be able to provide nutritional intake in accordance with the condition of the elderly so that adequate knowledge is needed in preparing the need for balanced nutrition. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and family support to elderly's nutritional status. Methods: The search for literature review articles was carried out in four databases (Scopus, Science Direct, Pub med, and Google Scholar) with a publication span of 2016-2020. The prism checklist was used to guide this review. Analysis and data tabulation were carried out in the article. Title, abstract, full text and methodology were assessed to determine study eligibility. Results: A total of 10 studies matched the inclusion criteria of the study, consisting of 6 cross-sectional studies and 4 qualitative studies. A review study found that good knowledge, positive attitude and good family support are directly proportional to the nutritional status of the elderly. Discussion: Family has a role in maintaining the health of the elderly, one of which is in fulfilling nutrition. Knowledge, attitudes and family support are related to the nutritional status of the elderly. Conclusions: Families who have knowledge related to nutrition can provide complete food intake and according to the needs of the elderly. A good family attitude will increase their support in helping fulfill nutrition.

Abstract Background Previous research shows that many cancer-bereaved youths report unresolved grief several years after the death of a parent. Grief work hypothesis suggests that, in order to heal, the bereaved needs to process the pain of grief in some way. This study explored acute grief experiences and reactions in the first 6 months post-loss among cancer-bereaved teenagers. We further explored long-term grief resolution and potential predictors of having had “an okay way to grieve” in the first months post-loss. Methods We used a population-based nationwide, study-specific survey to investigate acute and long-term grief experiences in 622 (73% response rate) bereaved young adults (age > 18) who, 6–9 years earlier, at ages 13–16 years, had lost a parent to cancer. Associations were assessed using bivariable and multivariable logistic regression. Results Fifty-seven per cent of the participants reported that they did not have a way to grieve that felt okay during the first 6 months after the death of their parent. This was associated with increased risk for long-term unresolved grief (odds ratio (OR): 4.32, 95% confidence interval (CI): 2.99–6.28). An association with long-term unresolved grief was also found for those who reported to have been numbing and postponing (42%, OR: 1.73, 95% CI: 1.22–2.47), overwhelmed by grief (24%, OR: 2.02, 95% CI: 1.35–3.04) and discouraged from grieving (15%, OR: 2.68, 95% CI: 1.62–4.56) or to have concealed their grief to protect the other parent (24%, OR: 1.83, 95% CI: 1.23–2.73). Predictors of having had an okay way to grieve included being male, having had good family cohesion, and having talked about what was important with the dying parent. Conclusion More than half of the cancer-bereaved teenagers did not find a way to grieve that felt okay during the first 6 months after the death of their parent and the acute grief experiences and reaction were associated with their grief resolution long-term, i.e. 6–9 years post-loss. Facilitating a last conversation with their dying parent, good family cohesion, and providing teenagers with knowledge about common grief experiences may help to prevent long-term unresolved grief.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the current status of depression self-management (DSM), and to identify influencing factors of DSM among Chinese community residents. Methods: Stratified random sampling methodology was adopted in this cross-sectional survey. Respondents completed a collection of self-administered questionnairesResults: The majority of participants were female (72.2%), having a mean age of 39 years (SD = 17.3). The total mean score on the DSSM was low (31.63 ± 4.69). Using multiple linear regression analysis, age ranging from 25 to 64 years old (Beta = −0.176, p = 0.008), having personal stigma (Beta = −0.143, p = 0.020) and perceived stigma (Beta = 0.127, p = 0.037), and having a nuclear family structure (Beta = −0.313, p = 0.046), good family function (Beta = 0.278, p < 0.001) and good help-seeking attitude (Beta = 0.159, p = 0.008) were associated with DSSM-knowledge. Older age (≥65 years) (Beta = −0.152, p = 0.034), higher CES-D scores (Beta = −0.162, p = 0.005), having a father with a bachelor's degree or higher level of education (Beta = −0.134, p = 0.047), being female (Beta = 0.147, p = 0.012), indicating a religious preference (Beta = 0.145, p = 0.017) and having good family function (Beta = 0.247, p = 0.001) were significantly associated with DSSM-activities.Conclusions: Reducing stigma related to depression and enhancing help-seeking attitudes may be potential strategies for managing depressive symptoms among Chinese community residents.

<p><em>Harmony has become an interesting issue that is discussed in the community, considering that lately many problems have arisen due to intolerance. However, things like that can actually be anticipated, and with a good family, everyone understands the nature of religion in a plural environment. The foundations that can fortify harmony must be, namely the principle of living in harmony and the principle of living with respect. Everyone has an important role to play in maintaining harmony between religious believers. Adaptation is carried out for a common goal, and with a common goal, they mingle with each other regardless of differences, so as to prevent conflicts between religious believers, so that a social order will be realized in society. Thus, members of the community are merged into a social system of society. However, within each one there is still something that is maintained within him, namely the religious principles they adhere to and the norms that they still maintain.</em></p>
