Stroke is a condition of brain experiencing neurodegenerative disorders such as local or global, occuring in sudden emergence, progressive, and fast. Impaired nerve function in stroke caused by circulatory disorders of the brain non-traumatic. Post-stroke patients need support and help the family in the treatment himself. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with self-care skills  in patients with post-stroke. The study design is analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The study populations were 40 people and samples of this study were all post-stroke patients who were undergoing rehabilitation of physiotherapy with drawn by saturated sampling technique. The results showed that 47.5% of respondents got enough family support, and 55% of respondents have the ability of self-care with some aid. Based on the test results from Spearman Rank correlation, family support with self-care skills  has a correlation coefficient of 0.38 and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.01, meaning there is a relationship between family support and self-care skills on post-stroke patients in the Royal Prima Hospital Medan. In conclusion, this study shows that family support and self-care skills strongly influence at the level of the patient's recovery. It is hoped that families to be more attentive to the needs and provide optimal support either support of awards/emotional, facilities and support information.

Introduction: Families who do not support patients can influence the level of rehabilitation adherence, which in turn will reduce the level of independence of patients after stroke. The purpose of the study was to explain the relationship between family support and rehabilitation adherence with the independence of stroke patients. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional type with a sample size of 73 post-stroke patients out of a total of 126 people. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling technique. The independent variable is the level of family support and the level of rehabilitation compliance. The dependent variable is the level of independence of patients after stroke. The research data obtained were analyzed with Spearman's Rho α ≤0.05. Results and Analysis: There was a relationship between family support and the independence of post-stroke patients with a value of α≤0.05, p = 0.001 and r = 0.384. There is a relationship between rehabilitation adherence with the independence of post-stroke patients with a value of α≤0.05, p = 0.000 and r = 0.473. Conclusion: Family support and good rehabilitation adherence do not affect post-stroke patients with severe degrees of disability and cognitive changes.

The study design was cross-sectional descriptive correlative approach. Data collection tool is a questionnaire guide. Sample of 35 respondents using accidental sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the family support and the dependent variable quality of life of patients with post-stroke. The results showed 16 respondents, or 45.8% of respondents received sufficient family support. Respondents who have a sufficient quality of life amounted to 15 respondents or 42.7%. By Spearman Rho obtained significance value (p value = 0.00) <(α = 0.05), which proved to be no family support relationships with the quality of life of the elderly after a stroke. Post-stroke patients have problems of physical health, psychological, level of dependence, social relationships, environment and personal beliefs. Therefore, they need emotional support, awards, instrumental and information, especially of the family as the people closest to them thus improving patient quality of life after stroke

Kemandirian bukanlah keterampilan yang muncul secara tiba-tiba tetapi perlu diajarkan dan dilatih pada anak agar tidak menghambat tugas- tugas perkembangan anak selanjutnya. Terutama pada anak yang mengalami retardasi mental akan sangat membutuhkan dukungan dari keluarga. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan  dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kemandirian anak retardasi mental di SLB Negeri Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua siswa kelas IV-VI di SLB Negeri Semarang yang berjumlah 64 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Dukungan keluarga pada anak retardasi mental sebagian besar adalah mendukung yaitu sebanyak 53,1%, kemandirian anak retardasi mental sebagian besar adalah kurang mandiri yaitu sebanyak 53,1%. Hasil uji statistik menemukan ada hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kemandirian anak retardasi mental di SLB Negeri Semarang, dengan p value sebesar 0,000.   Kata kunci : dukungan keluarga, kemandirian anak retardasi mental THE CORRELATION BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND THE LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE OF MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN   ABSTRACT Independence is not a skill that emerges suddenly but needs to be taught and trained in children so as not to inhibit the tasks of further child development. Especially for children who are mentally retarded, they will need support from the family. Research objectives to find out the correlation between family support and the level of independence of mentally retarded children in extraordinary school State of Semarang. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all parents of students in class IV-VI in Semarang State SLB, amounting to 64 students. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Family support for mentally retarded children was mostly supportive, as much as 53.1%, the independence of most mentally retarded children was less independent, which was as much as 53.1%. The results of statistical tests found that there was a correlation between family support and the independence of mentally retarded children in Semarang State SLB, with a p value of 0,000.   Keywords: family support, independence of mentally retarded children

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease requiring continuous care and sustainable self-management. It also needs adequate family support to prevent acute complications and reduce chronic complications. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between family support with the dietary management of DM patients in the working area of Pasir Panjang Health Center Kupang City Year 2017. The research method was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was all new cases of diabetes collected from January to July 2017 of which a sample of 53 people selected using a random sampling technique. The results showed that the appreciation support p = 0,000 < p = 0,05, instrumental support p = 0,000 < p = 0,05, informational support p = 0,000 < p = 0,05 and emotional support p = 0,000 < p = 0,05 were associated with the dietary rules behavior of the diet of DM patients. Health center needs to involve the family in health promotion programs related to dietary management for DM patients.

Stroke is a symptom that occurs due to impaired blood circulation in the brain. Stroke diseases has the third death sequence in the world after heart disease and cancer. Good family support is needed in improving self-concept for stroke patients. This research which aims to determine the relationship of family support with self-concept in patients with stroke in Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. The design used in research was analytic survey design using the “cross-sectional” with a sample of 34 respondents and the sampling technique is purposive sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires and held in April 2016. Data analysis using chi-square test with significance level of 5%. Results of the study revealed that good family support (55,9%) and negative self-concept (65,6%). The result of statistical test family support with self-concept value p=0,004 (p<0,05) It means there was significant relationship the family support with self-concept in stroke patients in Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. It was expected to nurses improve service to patients, motivate and assistsick family members and nurses work with the famiies in maintaining self concept patients. As for the family was expected to pay attention to patients health condition, motivate sick family members by giving motivation to recover, and assisting the patient in the process of healing.

<p>Family planning (FP) participation in 6 village located in Argomulyo, Sedayu, namely Puluhan, Kemusuk Kidul, Karanglo, Pedes, Surobayan and Kaliberot was 59.22%. The percentage was lower than the average number of Bantul which reached 81.40%. The progress of family planning programs can not be separated from their families since the family support is closely related to encouragement or motivation given to the reproductive age couples to participate in FP. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship<br />between family support and the participation of FP of reproductive age couples Argomulyo village Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Study design used in this study was cross sectional. The total population of reproductive age couples in Argomulyo village were 916 respondents. The sampling technique was done by total sampling. The research instrument used in the form of questionnaires. Hypothesis testing with chi-square test (α=0.05). From the data analysis between family support and FP participation variables resulted on OR=19.09 (95%CI:12.614-28.875) and contingency coefficient = 0.479 and the FP participation. In conclusion, there was a positive relationship between family support with the FP participation on the spous of reproductive age couples in Argomulyo village, Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta.</p>

Family support is the help provided by the family to family members in need when facing problems whereas compliance is the extent to which the patient's behavior is in accordance with the provisions provided by the health professional. The design of this study is correlational. The goal is to find out the relationship of family support with the compliance of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy. Sampling using purposive sampling technique amounted to 22 respondents who were a family of stroke patients who did physiotherapy at RSUD Kutacane, Southeast Aceh Regency. The compliance rate of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy in the hospital is about 72.7% where families who provide support as much as 77.3%. Based on the results of the analysis with fisher's exact test obtained the value P (fisher) = 0.000. Then there is a relationship between family support and the compliance of stroke patients in doing physiotherapy. These results show that if the family provides good support, then the patient's compliance with physiotherapy will be better as well. Based on the results of this study, the family should be able to provide support to patients. It is expected that the H. Sahudin of Southeast Aceh Regency Hospital, Educational Institutions and other related institutions will develop a permanent procedure on providing health education to patients and their families, especially about the importance of family support in the recovery of the patient's health.

Schizophrenia is a disease that affects the brain and causes strange thoughts, perceptions, emotions, movements and behaviors. One of the symptoms of schizophrenia is hallucinations. Hallucinations are one of the symptoms of sensory perception disturbance experienced by mental patients. The role and duty of family health is to care for family members who are sick, the family plays an important role as a support during the recovery and rehabilitation of patients, the support provided by the family will prevent recurrence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and family support by caring for hallucination patients in the work area of Kebun Handil Health Center, Jambi City. This study used an analytical survey method with a cross sectional design which aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and family support in caring for hallucinated patients using purposive sampling technique. The total population in this study were 144 people with a total of 53 respondents. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between family knowledge and how to treat hallucination patients with a P-value of 0.00. There is a relationship of family support by caring for hallucinatory patients with a P - Value of 0.00. It is hoped that the family will provide free time, sufficient knowledge and extra attention in helping patients recover

World Health Organization (WHO) in 2008 describes stroke is included in the seven lists of deadly diseases in the world, The number of people with stroke in Indonesia on 2013 based on the diagnosis of health workers (Nakes) is estimated as many as 1,236,825 people (7.0%). Recorded in August 2016 as many as 116 post-stroke patients undergoing therapy at policlinic physiotherapy RS PMI Kota Bogor. To find out the corelation between self-motivation and family support with self-image on patient who post-stroke at policlinic physiotherapy of RS PMI Kota Bogor in 2017. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative with cross sectional approach. The population of this research is the patient who have post stroke at policlinic physiotherapy of RS PMI Bogor. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with the number of samples of 90 people, the data analysis technique using chi square test. The result of the research showed that respondents with moderate motivation were 64 (71,1%) respondents, respondents with family support supporting as many as 52 (57,8%) respondents. The result of statistical test obtained p value 0,015 from self motivation variable with self image and p value 0,004 from family support variable with self image (p <0,05). The conclusion of this research is the relationship between self-motivation and family support with self-image on patient who post-stroke at policlinic physiotherapy of RS PMI Kota Bogor in 2017. This research are usefull to improve health education in giving the patient who post stroke and family about the importance of having motivation, Support from families for patients who post-stroke to have a positive impact on the recovery process.

Masalah fisik yang muncul pada pasien stroke yaitu hilangnya kesadaran selama stroke, inkontinensia, kelumpuhan atau kelemahan otot, sehingga pasien mengalami gangguan gerak karena adanya kerusakan susunan saraf pada otak dan kekakuan pada otot dan sendi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan latihan kekuatan otot pasien pasca stroke yang memperoleh berbagai dukungan keluarga. Desain penelitian ini adalah study komparatif adalah menggunakan metode Cross-Sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 54 responden dan menngunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuesioner Perceived Social Support-Family Scale (PSS-Fa) dan kuesioner latihan kekuatan otot. Pengambilan data dilakukan di ruang Poli Syaraf RSUD Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal pada 15 responden menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Tidak ada perbedaan antara latihan kekuatan otot pasien pasca stroke yang memperoleh dukungan keluarga baik dan dukungan kurang dengan nilai p value 0,727.   Kata kunci : dukungan keluarga, latihan kekuatan otot, pasca stroke   DIFFERENCE OF EXERCISE STRENGTHS OF THE MUSCLE OF POST-STROKE PATIENTS THAT GET VARIOUS FAMILY SUPPORT   ABSTRACT Physical problems that arise in stroke patients are loss of consciousness during stroke, incontinence, paralysis or muscle weakness, so that patients experience movement disorders due to damage to the nervous system in the brain and stiffness in the muscles and joints. The study aimed to determine the differences in muscle strength training of post-stroke patients who received various family support. The design of this study is a comparative study using the Cross-Sectional method. The sample in this study were 54 respondents and used consecutive sampling technique. The tool used in this study was the Perceived Social Support-Family Scale (PSS-Fa) questionnaire and muscle strength training questionnaire. Data collection was carried out in the Neurology Room of the RSUD Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal for 15 respondents using consecutive sampling technique. There was no difference between muscle strength training in post-stroke patients who received good family support and less support with a p value of 0.727.   Keywords: family support, muscle strength training, post stroke
