This study explored the extent of organizational commitment and how this may support or hinder a range of job satisfaction of teachers examined in the Ethiopian primary schools.The research employed correlation design. To this end, one hundred and eighteen 118 (58.1%) teachers were selected from six primary schools using simple random sampling technique and participated in the study. The researchers collected the relevant data from teachers using Spector’s (1997) adopted version of job satisfaction survey (JSS) and Meyer and Allen’s (1990) organizational commitment questionnaire (OCQ). The researchers analyzed the data using mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis and t-test. The result showed that there was evidence of positive correlation between teachers’ job satisfaction and their organizational commitment in the sampled schools. Regardless of this, the findings of the study revealed that gender was the only demographic variable that had significant positive relationship with job satisfaction. The other demographic variables such as age, gender, marital status and level of education did not show significant relationship with teachers’ job satisfaction in the sampled schools. Consequent up on this finding it was concluded that schools can enhance the level of teachers’ organizational commitment by creating a more satisfying working environment. As to the demographic variable, since some of the finding contradicts with the existing literature, we need to undertake more studies to have better understanding of the nature of the relationship between teachers demographic variables, job satisfaction and organizational commitment in developing countries context.

The background of this research is the low performance of Paket C tutor in PKBM Karang Taruna Kembang Delima. This is allegedly due to the low satisfaction of the tutor's work. The purpose of this research is to make the job satisfaction of tutor, to describe the performance of the package tutor, and to see the relationship of job satisfaction with the performance of the Paket C tutor in PKBM Karang Taruna Kembang Delima. This research is correlational research, with population is tutor of Paket C which amounted to 33 people, sample taken 90% from population that is 30 people with sampling technique that is simple random sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, and data collection tools using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques to describe job satisfaction and performance tutor using the formula percentage, and to see the relationship of job satisfaction with the performance tutor technique data analysis using product moment correlation formula. The results of this study indicate that (1) the satisfaction of Paket C tutor in PKBM Karang Taruna Kembang Delima is low category, (2) the performance of tutor of Paket C package in PKBM Karang Taruna Kembang Delima category low, and (3) there is a significant relationship between job satisfaction with the performance of Paket C tutor in PKBM Karang Taruna Kembang Delima. It is suggested to the manager to improve the work satisfaction of tutors in terms of feelings of pleasure in work and a good working environment for the performance of tutors can increase.

<p><em>The number of medical personnel in the Padang City is still a shortage of the amount required is 83 people, but this time medical personnel numbered 53 people. This research was carried out by combining two types of research are mixed method, preceded by a quantitative research with cross sectional approach, followed by qualitative research. The study was conducted in Primary Health Care Padang City. The population in this study are all medical personnel in the Padang City with a sample of 38 people, with a sampling technique is simple random sampling. The bivariate analysis known there are significant relationship between work (p = 0,023), compensation (p = 0,001), supervision (p = 0,001) and the relationship between employees (p = 0,000) with job satisfaction. But there is no relationship promotion with job satisfaction (p = 0,208). The conclusion of the study there are significant relationship between work, compensation, supervision and the relationship between employees with job satisfaction.</em></p>

<div><p>Teachers often find themselves frustrated at work because of conflicting expectations concerning their professional and social roles within the community. This paper looks at the effect of teachers’ perception of their profession on their satisfaction at job and performance. The authors employ a survey design in private schools in Yei Town, South Sudan to establish the impact of these perceptions. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the respondents from ten private schools. The respondents’ therefore included 10 head teachers, 100 teachers giving a total of 110 respondents. Questionnaires were used for data collection. Data collected was analysed by the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 12.0 was and presented in frequencies and percentages and a regression analysis performed to establish the relationships among the variables. The study findings indicated that a considerable number of the teachers (38.9%) indicated that teacher’s own perception of their own profession does not affect the teachers’ job satisfaction and performance.</p></div>

One of the concerns of the organization and management experts is to identify effective factors on organization performance and finding solutions to improve organization performance. The present study was done to analyse the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction in visiting lectures of Payam Nour University. Statistical population of this research includes visiting lectures of Ghorveh town who were teaching in the academic year of 2016-2017. Sample size of 60 participants was selected by simple random sampling. To collect data, Meyer and Allen organizational commitment questionnaire and Field and Rothe job satisfaction questionnaire were used. The research method is correlation which is incorporated in the area of applied studies to analyse data, descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression) were utilized. The findings show that there is positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Regression coefficient shows that organizational commitment predicts 42.2 % of the job satisfaction changes.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement of children in some selected full cycle government primary schools of Bahirdar city. To achieve this objective, 180 sample students were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The collected data was analyzed through, spearman correlation, analysis of variance and independent-test. The finding of the study revealed that the statistical analysis on independent t-test showed that there was a statistically significant difference between male and female students with regard to their academic achievement (t=6.25, df = 178, p<0.05). The finding of spearman correlation indicates that there was significant relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement of students (r=.56, p <.05). The result on one way ANOVA displayed that there was statistical significant difference among respondents academic achievement with regard to their parental level of education (F 2, 176) = 17.084, P<0.05. In conclusion, parental involvement is positively correlated with academic achievement of students and males have better academic performance than their female counter parts.

This study investigated job satisfaction and qualification as a determinant of teachers’ job mobility in primary schools in Oyo State. The study employed the descriptive research design of the survey type. The population consisted of all teachers from the public primary schools in the state. The sample for this study was 300 teachers which were selected from 20 public primary schools using multi-stage sampling procedure. The first stage involved the use of simple random sampling technique to select 10 Local Government Areas from the thirty- three Local Government Areas of the State. The second stage involved the selection of 20 public primary schools using purposive random sampling technique. Also, 15 teachers were selected from each of the public primary schools using simple random sampling technique at the third stage to make the total of 300 teachers as a sample for the study. A self-structured questionnaire tagged Teachers’ Questionnaire on Job Mobility, Satisfaction and Qualification (TQJMSQ) was used to elicit relevant data for the study. The face and content validity of the instrument was ensured. A reliability co-efficient of 0.69 was obtained for TQJMSQ using Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. Data collected were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Research questions were answered using simple percentage, mean score and standard deviation while the hypothesis was analysed using t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe posthoc test at 0.05 level of significant. The study shows that job satisfaction and teachers’ qualifications determines job mobility in primary schools in Oyo State. The researchers recommended that government and other school owners should encourage teachers on the job by giving them necessary remuneration and teachers should be encouraged to update themselves to acquire higher qualifications so that they can be fixed to relevant position. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leadership style of head teachers and pupils’ performance in Webuye West Sub County. The study adopted descriptive research design to establish the relationship between study variables. It covered 65 primary schools with a total population of 1000 teachers. In order to consider the three educational zones in the area, Krejcie and Morgan table was used to select a sample of 56 out of 65 primary schools. All the head teachers in the selected schools were part of the study sample. Further, simple random sampling technique was used to select 5 teachers from each school for the study sample, giving a total of 280 teachers. Therefore, the study sample was 336 respondents. Tools used in data collection were questionnaires for head teachers and teachers. To test reliability, test-retest method was used where a Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r) value of 0.876 was found. Chi-square was used to determine the relationship between each independent variable and the dependent variable. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between performance of pupils and head teacher’s leadership skills.

<p>In Human Resource Management, workers from the millennial generation, including those working as lecturers in Indonesia, are often studied with regard to their low level of organizational commitment. Millennial lecturers are often faced with various challenges that can trigger them to decide to quit their jobs and leave the college. This research aimed to discover the factors influencing millennial lecturers’ organizational commitment. The instruments used were the Organizational Commit­ment Scale, Job Satisfaction Survey, and Professional Commitment Scale. The respondents were 123 lecturers from 10 universities in Padang, Jakarta, and Bali, who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used was a multiple regression analysis. The research findings showed that job satisfaction and professional commitment, to be exact, their satisfaction with supervisors, professional commitment continuance and normative professional commitment had a significant impact on these lecturers’ organizational commitment. The result of this study delivers important implications to universities in managing their millennial lecturers so that they can improve their organizational commitment.</p><p> </p><p> </p>

This study is intended to examine the influence of demographic factors on job satisfaction of university faculties. One hundred and six faculty members teaching areas of management in central department of Tribhuvan University and its constituent campuses were taken as the sample. The study used survey questionnaire (23 items) derived from long form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) (1967). The statistical tools like independent sample t-test and ANOVA were applied to find the result. The result revealed that among eight demographic variables, monthly income seemed more important variable which had significant influence on six variables (social recognition, working environment, compensation, promotion recognition and union) of job satisfaction. Furthermore, designation seemed second important demographic variable which had significant influence on five variables of job satisfaction of faculty members. Limitations of the study are identified and recommendation for the future researchers are discussed.


Purpose: The main purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational commitment and intention to stay among the millennials working in IT organizations of North India. Research methodology: The present study has adopted descriptive research design and purposive sampling technique was used to gather data from 396 respondents with the help of a structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using SPSS and PLS-SEM. Findings: Findings revealed that job satisfaction has a significant impact on organizational commitment (β=0.457, p&lt;0.05) and intention to stay (β=0.596, p&lt;0.05). It was also revealed that managerial support moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and intention to stay. Originality: This study is one of the few empirical studies that have investigated the perception of millennials about their intention to stay in IT sector. The study will be beneficial for the HR experts in improving the employees’ intention to stay by focusing on giving support to their employees.
