Survey Study of ESP Learning Needs at the Islamic Religious Education Study Program of Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Bengkulu

This study aimed to determine the needs of non-English Study Program students. Quantitative and survey methods were applied in this study. A questionnaire through the Graves model analysis consisting of student profile analysis, Target Situation Analysis (TSA), Current Situation Analysis (CSA), and Learning Situation Analysis (LSA) were the instruments used in collecting the data. Participants were the third-semester students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at Tarbiyah and Tadris Faculty of IAIN Bengkulu in 2018 to 2019 academic year. In determining the participants, the writers applied a simple random sampling technique. There were 37 students from a total population of 150 students. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, namely by calculating percentage (%) and classified data so that the needs of students in learning English could be identified. The findings were (1) the ESP approach was the right approach to be applied in learning English at IAIN Bengkulu based on the students’ age and experience in learning English, (2) the gap between the targeted needs by the campus and the students’ English skills was less, (3) the gap between what students needs and the material in the ESP English textbook was in category desire, and (4) the topic of reading comprehension text was directly related to the study of Islamic Religious Education as a student’s area of expertise.

In the pandemic era like now distance learning is one of the efforts to prevent the spread of the virus, even though distance learning looks very easy, it turns out that there are often obstacles in its implementation that sometimes interfere with teaching and learning activities that are or will take place. The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of distance learning on the learning motivation of Semester III students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Tarbiyah Faculty of the Al-Qur'an Institute of Sciences, Jakarta. As for the sample in this study is Semester III Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah using a simple random sampling type sampling technique with 35 respondents through a questionnaire filled out by third semester students of the Institute of Al-Qur'an Science. The results showed that there was a correlation between distance learning and the learning motivation of the third semester female students of the Islamic Religious Education study program, Tarbiyah Faculty, Al-Qur'an Institute of Sciences, Jakarta. This is evidenced by the t value of 2.221. This shows that the t value is 2.221> the t table value is 2.034. This shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between distance learning (X) on student learning motivation (Y).

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Daurah Arabiyah and Yaum Arabi on Arabic Language Skills of Madura IAIN Students. This research is a type of associative quantitative research. The object of this research is the students of the IAIN Madura Arabic Education Study Program semester 1, semester 3, semester 5, and semester 7. The sampling technique used is the simple random sampling technique, and the sample used is 200 students of the IAIN Arabic Language Education Study Program. Madura. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data. Sources of data in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The method used in this study is the Classical Assumption Test and Hypothesis Test. Data collection techniques through questionnaires in the google form. The results of this study explain that Daurah Arabiyah has no effect the Arabic Language Skills of Madura IAIN Students with a significance value of 0.955. Yaumul Arabi has a positive and significant effect on the Arabic Language Skills of IAIN Madura Students with a significance value of 0.001. As well as Daurah Arabiyah and Yaum Arabi have a significant effect simultaneously on the Arabic Language Skills of Madura IAIN Students with a significance value of 0.002.

One of the purpose of teaching speaking is the students are able to use English as a means of communication based on the context and situation related to their level of vocabulary mastery. So before we are able to communicate well, we should have a large number of words.The objective of this research is to find out whether vocabulary is influential toward English speaking ability. The populations of this research are 190 students of all the fourth semester in the academic year of 2009-2010. Based on the table of Krecjie, a number of samples are 127 students. The sampling technique used is the simple random sampling technique. To collect the data, the researcher requires two tests, vocabulary and speaking tests.This study yields that there is a positive and significant influence between English vocabulary mastery and the students’ speaking ability, it is proved by the value of correlation coefficient 0.764 which is higher than the value of r table (0.176). It means that the rise of the independent variable (the students’ vocabulary mastery) will be followed by the rise of the dependent variable (English speaking ability). The effective contribution of the students’ vocabulary mastery toward English speaking ability is 58.6%

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the interest in entrepreneurship in the Economic Education Study Program of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Hamzanwadi University. This type of research uses quantitative methods. The population of this study were all students of the Hanzanwadi University Economic Education Study Program, totaling 408 people. In taking the sample, the researcher used the simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Regression and as a tool in data processing, namely using the SPSS 16 program. Arabic subjects are very important to develop the ability to communicate. By learning Arabic, students can understand the conversation and reading in Arabic well. Formal Arabic Studies in Madrasahs are the main means for students to master Arabic. This study aims to: 1) Know the efforts of STI Pati Raden Wijaya Prodi in shaping Arabic environment on Prodi PIT STIT Raden Wijaya. 2) Knowing the supporting factors in shaping Arabic environment on PAI STIT Raden Wijaya Prodi. 3) Knowing the obstacles faced by Prodi PIT STIT Raden Wijaya in shaping Arabic environment at Prodi PIT STIT Raden Wijaya. This study uses oriented approach (paradigm) Descriptive-Qualitative, While the type of research is using case studies (Santoso, 2005). In this study the researchers themselves or with the help of others are the main data collectors. This research was conducted at Tarbiyah High School of Raden Wijaya Kota Mojokerto, on Islamic Religious Education Study Program. In this study, the primary data obtained by researchers is: the results of interviews with the Chairman of the Study Program of Islamic Education and Students Semester I (One). In this study used in analyzing data that has been obtained is by descriptive (non statistical) descriptive that is explorative. The conclusions of this research are: 1) Effort-uaha done Prodi in making effective learning arab language in Prodi PIT STIT Raden Wijaya are: a. He held yaum al-'araby twice a week on Friday. b. It was called shabah al-lughah a week twice before ta'lim afkar al-islamy began. c. The existence of study club on each mabna. 2) Factors that become supporters in forming bi'ah al-'arabiyah are: a. Attachment of mufradat in strategic places. b. Make plaques that are written / spoken in Arabic to make it easier to remember. c. Songs in foreign languages (Arabic and English) to increase students' insight in developing the language. 3) The constraints faced in creating bi'ah al-'arabiyah namely: a. Ability and basic students are different. b. There is no class classification that suits the ability of each student. c. Lack of facilities / facilities and infrastructure. d. Competence musyrif / ah who are not all able to speak. e. The curriculum and materials that are presented have not been neatly arranged. f. The absence of a strict iqob for students who do not communicate arabic language everyday.

Background: The role of health students in providing information about reproductive health is very important, especially regarding reproductive health rights for women with disabilities. This is crucial to do because women with disabilities are very vulnerable to violence and discrimination, especially in terms of reproductive health. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the influence of knowledge and intention toward behavior of female health students in accessing information on reproductive health rights for women with disabilities. Research Methods: This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted at the Midwifery Study Program at Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University Malang in October 2020. The sample size was 50 subjects, selected by simple random sampling technique. The dependent variable is the behavior of health female students in accessing information. The independent variables were knowledge and intention in access to information. Data collection using an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. Results: The behavior of health female students in access to information was influenced by knowledge (b= 0.36, CI 95% = 0.12 to 0.60, p= 0.005), and intention in access to information (b= 0.45, CI 95% = 0.10 to 0.80, p= 0.014). Conclusion: Participants with good knowledge and high intention in access to information affect behavior in accessing information. Students nowadays interact more frequently through the internet using English. As an international language, English is used by most internet users, both by application companies and social networks, as well as by users. Internet usage can be more easily obtained, especially in big cities. This affects the students’ way of thinking, learning and behaving because they can learn everything easily and quickly through online media available at the internet. The aim of this research is to show the effect of internet use habit on English achievement for class VIII students at SMPI Al Azhar 8 in Bekasi. This research based on survey methods using technical correlational analysis. While the data and information were obtained by a questionnaire. The sample is taken with purposive sampling technique that is 44 students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: There is a significant effect of the habit of interacting through the internet on the English achievement. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the results of the Sig. 0,000 <0,05dan t value = 4,365 which means there is a significant effect.

This research aimed to find out the students’ access to ICT application and how far ICT application helps students in mastering English language skills faced by English students of English Education Study Program at the University of Bengkulu in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research was an explanatory sequential mixed methods design. The population of this research was English students of English Education Study Program at the University of Bengkulu. The sample of this research was selected by using purposive sampling technique, totaling 80 students for questionnaire and 24 students for interview. The data were collected by using questionnaire and interview. The instruments were consisted of 15 items adapted from Dang Hoang Tri and Nhung Hong Thi Nguyen (2014). This research used Microsoft Excel to analyze the data. The result of this study showed that students access 15 ICT applications in English learning. Also, researcher found that the majority of students have positive perception towards ICT application can help students in mastering English language skills.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to improve the results and learning process of Genetic subjects in the Biology Education Study Program through lesson study (LS). The research type is descriptive, the sampling technique used purposive. The study sample used 40 students in the sixth semester of class a Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, University of Mataram in academic year 2017/2018. The research data collection technique used observation, documentation, and tests. Data on student learning outcomes and LS-based learning processes were analyzed descriptively. LS implementation in this study consisted of four cycles and each cycle consisted of three stages, namely: planning, implementation, and reflection. Classically the average value of students' cognitive achievement is 82.1% in cycle I and II while in cycle III and IV it increases to 82.67%. Data from LS implementation observation results obtained an average value of 91.63%. The conclusion of this study is the application of LS learning can improve student achievement and learning processes on Genetic subjects in the Biology Education Study Program. It is recommended to other researchers to conduct similar follow-up research in broader research areas, more samples, use more complex research designs, and use more subjects so that more optimal results can be found. AbstractThis study aims to develop a module that will help students improve their abilities in microteaching courses and be friendly with students with special needs. The microteaching course is one of the compulsory courses that students in the Islamic Religious Education study program must complete. This module was developed using the ADDIE method. Based on the research results, this module is adequate for use and is able to help students with special needs in mastering microteaching courses. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul yang akan membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mata kuliah microteaching dan ramah dengan mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus. Mata kuliah microteaching adalah salah satu mata kuliah wajib yang harus dituntaskan oleh mahasiswa di program studi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Modul ini dikembangkan dengan metode ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, modul ini memadai untuk digunakan dan mampu membantu mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus dalam menguasai mata kuliah microteaching.
