Abstract The number of population and life expectancy of elderly in Indonesia have increased every year. Health problems of elderly are associated with the environmental change and nutritional status that will affect for their quality of life. This research used a cross sectional approach and conducted in Bondowoso area with data at Tresna Werdha Social Service Bondowoso and elderly living in region of Maesan Public Health Centre. This research based on 72 respondents, consist of 36 respondents that living with  family and 36 respondents that living in PSTW. The sampling technique used Proportional Random Sampling. Methods of data used questionnaires adapted from WHOQOL-BREF. Data analyzed by Chi Square test (α = 0,05). The results showed that nutritional status of elderly living in PSTW were better than elderly living with their family (p<0,05). Quality of life according of physical health domain,  psychological domain, social relationships domain, and over all quality of life of elderly living with their family were better than the elderly living in PSTW (p <0.05). While on quality of life according to environment domain in elderly living with their family and PSTW have same result (p> 0,05).  Keywords: elderly,nutritional status, quality of life

Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART) adherence infl uenced HIV/AIDS patient’s quality of life and otherwise quality of life influenced ART adherence positively, where the better quality of life of People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), the more ability of patient to adhere on their ART regiment. The purpose of this study was to analyze association between ART adherence and outpatient HIV/AIDS patient’s quality of life in four domains at RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya. This study was an observational study with cross sectional design. Sample was 94 HIVAIDS patients’s outpatient and selected by using accidental sampling technique. The data was analyzed using Spearman correlation test. The result of study showed that most of HIVAIDS patients were 36–55 years old (53.2%), male (59.6%), normal nutritional status (42.6%), having high ART adherence in the last one month (79.8%), and having quality of life’s mean score in all domains ranged at 50–60 (30–40%). This study showed that there was an association between ART adherence in the last one month and quality of life in physical health (r =0.212, P = 0.040) and environment’s domain (r = 0.258, P = 0.012). It is suggested a comprehensive AIDS care program primarily with considering physical health and environment factors that could increase HIV/AIDS patient’s quality of life. It is suggested a longitudinal study with greater numbers of respondent and combine the use of measurement instrument to understand factors related to ARTadherence and quality of life.Keywords: sex, ART adherence, quality of life, nutritional status, age

Validity instrument european quality of life (EQ-5D-5L) Indonesian version to assess the quality of life patient with tuberculosis Background: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that can cause death and easily contract droplets through the air. Tb sufferers will experience some clinical symptoms that indirectly improve their quality of life. Measuring the cauldron of living bags in patients with tuberculosis is still rare in Indonesia, especially by using the Instrument European Quality of Life  EQ-5D-5L Indonesian version.Purpose: To determine the validity and reliability of the EQ-5D-5L instrument with the Indonesian version of the utility set index as an alternative to measuring the quality of life of TB patients in Indonesia.Method: A cross-sectional study with an observational approach, conducted on patients with tuberculosis at Sentani Jayapura public health centre cover area I, using the Indonesian version of the EQ-5D-5L instrument.Results: Based on  Pearson Correlation tests on 5 EQ-5D-5L domains showed a significant value of 0.000 on each question item and was declared valid with a correlation value between ≥ 0.60-0.80, while the reliability test obtained a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.799. Overall the EQ-5D-5L instrument is accurate and reliable. Tool EQ-5D-5L Indonesian version can be used to assess the quality of  TB patients in Indonesia with a value of  Pearson Correlation r = > 0.50 and  Cronbach Alpha  0.799 (> 0.70).Conclusion: The EQ-5D-5L instrument with the Indonesian version of the utility set index can be used to assess the quality of life of TB patients in Indonesia.Keywords : Patient; Tuberculosis; Quality of Life; InstrumentPendahuluan: Tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit menular yang dapat menyebabkan kematian dan mudah tertular oleh droplet melalui udara. Tempat penelitian di Puskesmas Sentani Kabupaten Jayapura, dilakukan padan pasien TB kategori I, menggunakan instrumen EQ-5D-5L versi Indonesia.Hasil: Berdasarkan uji Pearson Correlation pada 5 domain EQ-5D-5L menunjukkan nilai yang signifikan yaitu 0.000 pada tiap item pertanyaan dan dinyatakan valid dengan nilai korelasi antara ≥ 0.60-0.80, sedangkan uji reliabilitas diperoleh nilai Cronbach Alpha 0.799. Secara keseluruhan instrumen EQ-5D-5L adalah valid dan reliabel. Instrumen EQ-5D-5L versi Indonesia dapat di gunakan untuk menilai kualitas pasien TB di Indonesia dengan nilai Pearson Correlation r = > 0.60 dan Cronbach Alpha 0.799 (> 0.70).Simpulan: Instrumen EQ-5D-5L dengan index utility set versi Indonesia dapat digunakan untuk menilai kualitas hidup pasien TB di Indonesia.

ABSTRAKKualitas hidup anak pada dasarnya ditentukan oleh Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada masa usia 1-3 tahun pertama kehidupannya, hal ini akan jelas menentukan kualitas hidup anak di kemudian hari. Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak yang maximal bertujuan untuk membuat anak tidak hanya tumbuh secara fisik, tetapi juga memiliki kualitas hidup yang baik untuk masa depannya. Asupan gizi yang dierima anak memainkan peran dalam membantu perkembangan anak. Masalah dalam penelitian ini terdapat 2 (20%) anak yang mengalami penyimpangan dari yang seharusnya tidak ada. Tujuan dalam Riset ini untuk mengetahui korelasi status gizi dengan perkembangan anak usia toodler (1-3 tahun) di desa Bunder Kecamatan Pademawu. Desain penelitian yaitu analitik dengan dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 38 anak dan sampelnya yaitu sebanyak 35 anak dengan menggunakan KPSP dan kuesioner. Teknik sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (65,7%) anak memiliki status gizi normal, dan sebagian besar (51,4%) anak mengalami perkembangan yang sesuai. Dari hasil uji statistik menunjukkan (? = 0,664 ? ? = 0,05) sehingga H1 ditolak artinya tidak ada korelasi antara status gizi dengan perkembangan. Kesimpulan dalam riset ini yaitu status gizi tidak memiliki korelasi dengan perkembangan anak yang dimana status gizi anak yang kurus tidak  selamanya menyebabkan perkembangan anak menjadi menyimpang dan sebaliknya status gizi anak yang normal tidak selamanya menyebabkan perkembangan anak menjadi sesuai, kemungkinan ada faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan pada anak.Kata Kunci : Perkembangan Anak, Status Gizi, ToodlerCORRELATION OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOODLER AGE CHILDREN (1-3 YEARS)ABSTRACTThe quality of life of children is basically determined by growth and development in the first 1-3 years of life, this will clearly determine the quality of life of children in the future. Maximum growth and development of children aims to make children not only grow physically, but also have a good quality of life for their future. The nutritional intake received by children plays a role in helping children's development. The problem in this study there are 2 (20%) children who experience deviations from what should not exist. The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation of nutritional status with the development of toddlers (1-3 years) in Bunder Village, Pademawu District. The research design is analytic with a cross sectional design. The population used in this study were 38 children and the sample was 35 children using KPSP and questionnaires. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. While the data analysis using the Spearman test. The results showed that most (65.7%) children had normal nutritional status, and most (51.4%) children experienced appropriate development. The statistical test results show (? = 0.664 = 0.05) so that H1 is rejected, meaning that there is no correlation between nutritional status and development. The conclusion in this research is that nutritional status does not have a correlation with child development where the nutritional status of underweight children does not always cause child development to deviate and on the contrary normal child nutritional status does not always cause child development to be appropriate, there may be other factors that can affect development. in children.Keywords: Child Development, Nutritional Status, Toddler

Introduction: Nepal like many other developing countries in the world is witnessing the rapid ageing of population. Quality of life (QOL) of elderly people is becoming even more relevant towards an ageing society. In Nepal, less is known regarding special needs and quality of life of elderly people either in familial situations or in old age residences. Objectives: The present study was undertaken to assess and compare the quality of life of elderly living with the family and in old age home. Methodology: A Cross sectional descriptive study was conducted from October 2016 to April 2017 among elderly population aged 60 years and above. A total of 50 elderly people were enrolled from old age home (OAH) using total enumeration sampling technique and equal number of sample was selected from the family setting. QOL of elderly was assessed using WHOQOL-BRIEF questionnaire after taking informed consent from the participants. Data was analyzed using SPSS. Results: The mean scores of QOL domains were better among the age group 60-70 years, males, married, literates and who had children. The mean scores of QOL in physical, psychological and environmental domains were better in elderly living with the family than living in OAH. Low scores were found on social domain among elderly compared to other domain irrespective of their residence. Conclusion: QOL score among elderly is average, while social relationship domain of QOL scores was found to be low. Social activities should be expanded for these residents in order to promote social health. The QOL which each individual possesses is very important in all aspects be it physical, psychological, social & environmental. Furthermore, programs that help elderly people live in their own homes and social environments should be promoted.BIBECHANA 16 (2019) 221-227

This research aimed to determine correlation between midwife performance and maternal sastisfaction in Sarwodadi Public Health Centre Pemalang Regency. The corresponding research design used descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. Sample of research were maternal labor in Sarwodadi Public Health Centre Pemalang Regency as many as 32  people. The sampling technique used accidental sampling. The data collecting instrument used questionnaire. The result showed that 50% respondents said that good midwifes performance and 50% respondents said that it was lacking. There were 68,8% respondents were dissatisfied, but 31,3% respondents were  satisfied. There correlation between midwife performance and maternal sastisfaction in Sarwodadi Public Health Centre Pemalang Regency (ρ value: 0,008). Recommendations are given to health workers to improve the quality of delivery services and the provision of midwifery services by considering psychological aspects

Background: Self efficacy can optimize the quality of life of clients who undergo the healing process due to chronic diseases. Individuals with higher self-efficacy move their personal and social resources proactively to maintain and improve the quality and length of their lives so that they experience a better quality of life. Objectives: the purpose of this study was to find the correlation between self efficacy and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis at RSUD Semarang Regency. Metode: This type of research was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The samples in this study more 76 people with total sampling technique. The data collection tool for self efficacy was measured by General Self-Efficacy scale, for quality of life with WHOQoL-BREF. Statistical test used Kolmogorov-smirnov. Result: The result showed that self efficacy in patients with chronic kidney disease was mostly in moderate category (53,9%), quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease was mostly in good category (68,4%). There was a correlation between self efficacy and quality of life of patients with chronic kidney disease who undergo hemodialysis at RSUD Semarang Regency, the result obtained p-value of 0.000 <α (0,05). Suggestion: Patients with chronic kidney disease can maintain good quality of life by helping to generate positive self-esteem and high self efficacy.

Background: Vietnam is entering the stage of aging population; as a result, the quality of life (QOL) of the elderly is really a matter of concern. There is a great deal of research on the quality of life of the elderly while Vietnam witnesses a lack of research on this topic, especially on how physical and social activities have impact on QOL of the elderly. Objectives: (1) To describe the situation of participation in physical, social activities and QOL of the elderly residing in Truong An Ward, Hue city. (2) To examine the association between physical, social activities and QOL among participants. Methodology: This study used cross-sectional study design. A total sample of 420 people aged 60 and above in Truong An Ward, Hue city were interviewd. The SF36 was used to measure the QOL of participants. Results: Percentage of the elderly taking part in physical activity were 66%. 49% reported having the habit of taking part in social activities. The majority of the elderly get their QOL level in three health fields, namely physical, mental and general health at above average. (56.0, 60.7 and 60.8 respectively). There were significant associations between physical activities, social activities and QOL among participants. Conclusion: The percentage of the elderly taking part in physical and social activities were still low. Besides, QOL of the elderly at the research location was not really high. It’s important to encourage the elderly taking part in physical and social activities to improve their quality of life. Key words: Physical activities, social activities, QOL, the elderly

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the quality of life of CRF patients in Hemodialysis Unit at Pringsewu District General Hospital. This study was conducted from February to May 2018 with cross sectional study design. The sampling technique using total sampling technique. Measurement of quality of life using KDQOL-SFTM version 1.3. The results found that quality of life scores were quite low in some domains and subscales. The mean of total score was 55.70 ± 21.30 with mean of Physical Health Composite (PHC) = 38.85 ± 9.26 and mean of Mental Health Composite (MHC) = 36.13 ± 7.08. Regarding the targeted area of ESRD, the scale of renal disease burden and occupational status scale resulted in the lowest score. The sleep quality scale score was 56.18 ± 20.72. Only 61 patients responded to questions of sexual activity with a score of 55.53 ± 27.44 on the scale of sexual function. In the 36-item health survey, the mean total score was 45.90 ± 21.95. The lowest score represented the limitations of roles caused by physical and emotional health problems. The result of statistical test showed that the variables significantly related to the quality of life of CRF patients were age, income, duration of hemodialysis and family support. Thus, family support was the variable that had the greatest impact on determining the quality of life of CRF patients. The CRF patients who lacked family support were 4.6 times more likely to lead poorer life compared to CRF patients who received good family support after being controlled by age, income, duration of hemodialysis, gender, working status, and diabetes mellitus variables.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAMILY SUPPORT AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE WITH MENTAL DISORDERS  ABSTRACTMental disorder is one of the most serious health problems. Families have to spend more time to provide care to People with Mental Disorders at home. People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) usually have problems with quality of life. The study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and the quality of life of People with Mental Disorders / ODGJ. This research is a quantitative research by using cross-sectional design with correlative analytic method. The sample of the research were 39 people selected by non probability sampling technique of purposive sampling. Data collection of respondent characteristics was conducted by using questionnaire of respondent characteristics. The level of family support was assessed by using family support questionnaires proposed by Friedman and the quality of life of the respondents was measured using the SQLS questionnaires. The findings showed that good and moderate family supports have the same percentage of 35.9%, while the results of the quality of life score showed that the majority of respondents had good quality of life (82.1%). Based on the analysis by using Spearman-Rank test, there is a significant correlation between family support and quality of life of respondents with p = 0,000 (p <0,05) and strong correlation value of 0.618 and positive correlation direction which means if family support increases then the quality of life of respondents will increase and vice versa. The future researchers are expected to exercise control over other factors that may affect the quality of life of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ).
