The structure of an automatic system for cleaning turnouts is considered, the main advantages and disadvantages of precipitation sensors of existing automatic systems for cleaning turnouts are analyzed. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop an advanced system based on a sensor for de- tecting ice or snow on a controlled surface. The developed block diagram of the formation of control actions of the system for detecting icing or snow on the controlled surface is presented. An algorithm is given for its technical implementation, as well as for measuring the anticipatory control of the process of electric heating of the controlled surface of the switches. The results of simulation of the device and method for determining ice or snow on a controlled surface in the Matlab Simulink environment are presented.

The article is devoted to the problem of the banks’ participation in improving the efficiency of the organization of cash circulation, which does not lose its relevance in the modern economy. In the current situation, despite the growth in the volume and share of non-cash payments, the demand for cash is characterized by stability. The article focuses on the features, advantages and disadvantages of the reducing cash circulation process. It is noted that the primary impact on cash circulation is made by settlements made by individuals. In this regard, the study focuses on the fundamental changes in this direction that are taking place in the banking sector. This is, first of all, the reduction of cash withdrawals from plastic cards and the growth of non-cash payments with their use, the lack of growth of the card market; increase in electronic terminals and reduce the number of ATMs installed. At the same time, it is emphasized that one of the main areas that determine both the liquidity and profitability of the bank is the regulation of cash balances. With the number of banks operating in the economy shrinking, the struggle for customers is becoming more acute. The satisfaction of the latter with the quality of the bank’s services, including in terms of settlement liquidity, should be considered as one of the primary factors that ensure the effectiveness of a significant number of banking operations. In this context, special attention is paid to the specifics of the bank’s actions to optimize cash flows, which requires the use of specialized automatic systems that allow processing data on cash balances and turnover to form forecasts that optimize the collection schedule and reduce ATM downtime due to lack of funds

The present research is an attempt to explore the applicability of the best possible service in the area of organized health care services, at fixed predefined points of service. The suggestion is that there should be a system that will receive and provide information about health matters of general public concern. Thus following the lead of Citizen Service Centers in Greece, it can be extended conveniently to mobile devices. The main survey was conducted on a sample of Municipalities and Citizens in the year 2013. The results indicate that the new proposed system could be more secure for citizens for future use, based on supervising procedure by proper employee who will provide more help to the users, instead of a fully automatic system.

In recent years, renewable energy generation has been coming up for effective use of natural energy, such as wind energy. Induction generators consisting squirrel-cage rotors are widely used as wind generators because of their salient features like robust rotor design, simplicity in the construction, maintenance free operation, etc. In this paper, it is derived that the transient current, electromechanical torque, and active power taking into account rotor speed change of induction generators at three-phase fault conditions. The output equations of the induction generator has nonlinearity, and the speed-time characteristic in a fault period is also expressed by the nonlinear equation. The approximation to derive analytical formulas for transient conditions is proposed, and the transient behavior of the induction generator is analyzed by the developed equations. The simulation block diagram in MATLAB/SIMULINK is constituted using the system equation in consideration of the nonlinearity of the induction generator. The simulation results obtained from each theoretical analysis are in close agreement with that of results obtained using MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation. Furthermore, theoretical discussion also developed to determine the fault phase angle and the time at which maximum transient currents flow in the system.

Purpose of the work is to analyze tight band coiling machine dynamics for processing wire, thread, texture, paper, leatherette or other elastic bands with a steady-state tension force. Band coiling block diagram and mathematical models for cases with one and two regulators has been made for research of elastic band coiling processing using software MATLAB-SIMULINK. Transient response curves of linear speeds in the band feed section and in a coiling machine, of band tension force and of relative elongation are presented. The digital model was used for obtaining parameters of controllers when parameters of feedback and regulators have been changing.

Identification of factors associated with Leishmaniainfection in dogs is essential for targeting visceral leishmaniasis control actions. Thus, the present study analyzed some of these factors in a population of dogs in a Brazilian municipality, along with the limitations of control strategies implemented there. The association between the exposure variables and occurrences of infection was analyzed through logistic regression models. The disease control interventions were treated qualitatively. Out of the 755 animals examined, 13.6% (103/755) were seropositive. Of these, 23.3% (24/103) were asymptomatic and 76.7% (79/103) presented at least one clinical sign possibly associated with visceral leishmaniasis. With weak associations, purebred, shorthaired, over 5 years of age, male and large dogs were more prone to infection. The latter two variables formed the final regression model and the association with dog size was statistically significant. The control strategies developed presented limitations and a great number of seronegative dogs was culled. The data presented contribute towards better understanding of the dynamics of infection in canine visceral leishmaniasis and indicate that actions aimed towards adequate implementation of Visceral Leishmaniasis control program in Brazilian endemic areas should be prioritized.

Due to the acceleration of the informatization of modern society and the increase in the number of flows and objects of information that must be protected from unauthorized access, problems with the use of biometric identification technologies to differentiate access to information resources are becoming increasingly important. The paper discusses some features of fingerprint preprocessing procedures using the Gabor filter. A block diagram of a parallel model of software for fingerprint preprocessing is presented. Various technologies are also briefly considered that make it possible to organize an appropriate program (parallel processing), the advantages and disadvantages of each of them are described, on the basis of which the optimal one is selected for a specific task. The results on the speed of program execution with a different number of threads and their priority are provided.
