Conducting physical training and sports at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin is considered as a factor influencing the quality of life and professional adaptation of foreign students. At the same time, the state of the physical form of foreign citizens, which includes physical development and physical fitness, is one of the indicators of their successful development of educational programs. However, the solution of the problems of physical education of foreign students is due to a number of objective and subjective difficulties associated with various educational and sports levels, high incidence, language barrier, ethnic characteristics, low physical fitness. This problem is particularly relevant in the development of the basic foundations of physical culture of foreign girls. Analysis of the results of testing the main indicators of physical development of 150 foreign students of 1–2 courses of the Medical Institute of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin allowed to reveal differences in length and weight of a body, vital capacity of lungs, force of the right and left hands of girls. The differences are of a racial character. The obtained data allowed to create a morpho-functional portrait of foreign students, which involves the use of an individualized approach to the organization and conduct of physical culture and sports, the current and final control of their physical fitness level.

Introduction. The process of physical education of students in higher education institutions is organized depending on the state of health, level of physical development and readiness of students. Research by many authors shows that the decline in physical activity of young people reduces their level of physical health and physical fitness. Therefore, it is important to study the self-assessment of physical development of students with different levels of physical fitness. The aim is to study the self-assessment of physical development of students of 1-3 courses with different levels of physical fitness in the process of forming individual physical culture. Materials and methods: analysis and generalization of data of scientific and methodical literature and sources of the Internet; sociological methods; psychological and diagnostic methods; pedagogical methods; methods of statistical data processing.

Abstract Introduction. Together with longer human lives, increase in economy level and higher social expectations, there is also need for developing science studies on physical culture and its role in prevention of ageing. Taking care of physical fitness is one of the main factor that guarantees both health and high quality life for millions of older people. The purpose of this article was to determine the changes of physical fitness level under the influence of Nordic walking trainingin women aged 60-75 years. Material and methods. 65 women aged 60-75 years were the subject of this study. Women were divided into 2 groups: control group (26 people) and experimental group (39 people). Women from experimental group were taking part in Nordic walking training for 15 weeks, 2 times a week, 60 minutes each meeting. To determine the level of physical fitness some trials from EUROFIT test for adults were applied and march test 2 km was held. Results. The trend of improvement of physical fitness under health education and Nordic walking training was determined. The best results was on endurance field (statistically significant p<0.05). It was also observed slight decrease in physical fitness in women that didn't take part in mentioned training.

The study aims at examining the impact of exercise games on preschool children’s physical development. The study took place in the school year 2018-2019 in Dong Thap, Vietnam. A total of 133 male preschool children aged from 5-6 years old from four public kindergartens took part in the study and were distributed in experimental group and control group. 30 exercise games were employed as the implementation tools. Although the physical fitness of both groups increased after the treatment, the physical fitness level of the experimental group gained higher improvement than that of the control group. The results indicate that the exercise games are effective in physical education in general and in improving children’s physical fitness in particular.

Article visualizations:

The purpose of the study is to compare the indicators of the physical development of 12 years aged children in the main and preparatory groups of physical fitness. The study of physical development in the main and preparatory groups (among 12 years old boys and girls) was carried out by clinical anthropometry with determination of body length and weight, as well as physiometry with determination of lung capacity and muscle strength of the right and left hands. It turned out that the strength of the left and right hands of boys assigned to the main group of medical fitness was statistically significantly higher than that of boys assigned to the preparatory group of physical fitness.

Purpose: theoretically and experimentally substantiate the model of the development of physical qualities of karatekas in the conditions of the training process in a sports school. Material and methods: young men (25 people) of 10th - 11th grades of Lutsk secondary schools took part in the study. Research methods: data analysis of special scientific and methodical literature, pedagogical methods, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: each training block includes 3 test exercises that were included in the karate training process. First and after the block was included in the training process, the young men, who were engaged in the experimental group, performed tests, and the results were collected. The results of the conducted pedagogical experiment revealed the effectiveness of the proposed model for the development of physical qualities of karatekas in the training process. Analysis of the data characterizing the state of physical fitness and physical development allows us to state that there is a significant improvement in indicators in the experimental group as compared to the control group. The results obtained, both in general and with special physical fitness in the experimental group, show that significant differences are observed in the tests: "running in place with a high hip lift", "running from a high start to 30 meters", "bending forward from a position lying on his stomach”,“raising straight legs to the sides”, “raising straight arms up while lying on his stomach”, “shuttle”running 3x10 m, “jumping with 180º rotation”, “three forward turns while maintaining balance”. In terms of physical readiness indicators in the experimental group, the results are higher than in the control group. The increase in results in the test "running in place with a high hip lift" was 17.88 % in the experimental group, 6.6 % - in the control; in the test "running 30 meters" - 14.4 % - in the experimental group, in the control group - 4.8 %; in the test "lifting from parterre to standing" - 30.8 % - in the experimental group, 7.9 % - in the control; in the test "bending forward from a sitting position, legs apart" - 25.0 % - in the experimental group, 93.0 % in the control; in the test "dilution of straight legs to the sides" - 35.0 % in the experimental group, 17.4 % - in the control; in the test "raising arms up from a prone position" - 43.6 % in the experimental group, 19.7 % in the control group. These tests determined those physical qualities that were purposefully developed in the training process of the experimental group separately according to the developed block model of the development of physical qualities. In terms of physical development, significant differences are observed in the experimental group in the indicator - the strength of the right and left hand, where the increase in results is 7.9 %, respectively; in the control group, there is an increase in the indicator of the strength of the right hand - 1.3 %. Conclusions: training blocks are implemented in one of three parts of training sessions, depending on the quality being developed, based on the active use of the in-line method of motor actions fulfillment and includes specially selected complexes of test exercises aimed at speed, flexibility, dexterity. The development of physical qualities among karatekas in the traini ng process provides effective indicators of physical fitness, testifies to the feasibility of using the proposed model to improve the process of physical training in sports schools.
