Introduction: PT. X Surabaya is a company engaged in the field of construction services. Construction is an industrial sector which accounts for the highest accident rates in Indonesia. The high number of accidents in companies is a result of employee behaviors, one of which is related to the use of PPE. Based on Activator-Behavior-Consequence (ABC) model, factors that influence worker compliance behavior can be determined. From here, measures to strengthen or weaken the behavior can be proposed. This study aims to analyze the correlation between activator and consequence factors with compliance behavior in using PPE. Method: This study was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. This study used sample size by a total population of 32 construction workers at PT. X Surabaya. The variables studied were work motivation, reward, and punishment as independent variables, while the behavior of using PPE as the dependent variable in this study. Data were gathered by collecting company’s secondary data, questionnaires, and observations by using critical behavior checklist instrument. The research analysis used the Spearman correlation statistical test. Results: The Spearman correlation statistical test showed that the relation between work motivation with compliance behavior in using PPE (r = 0.329), reward with compliance behavior in using PPE (r = 0.374), and punishment with compliance behavior in using PPE (r = 0.263) was weak. Conclusion: Work motivation, reward, and punishment had a correlation with compliance behavior in using PPE, but these factors had a weak correlation. There may be other correlated factors in determining compliance behavior in using PPE.Keywords: punishment, reward, work motivation

BACKGROUND: Phototherapy consists of exposure to ultraviolet radiation for therapeutic reasons. Radiation is already used in dermatological practice, and many studies have already proved the beneficial effect of UV light treatment for chronic inflammatory or lymphoproliferative skin diseases. The Dermatology Service of the Clinics Hospital of Porto Alegre (Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre) has been using phototherapy for a long time, and no official data have been described so far. OBJECTIVES: To study the prevalence of dermatoses referred to the phototherapy unit at the Clinics Hospital of Porto Alegre and describe the total number of patients who have already been referred to this sector and their phototype. METHODS: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. Data were collected through a review of the phototherapy patients' records (secondary data), which are available on a database of the Dermatology Service of the Clinics Hospital of Porto Alegre, from August 1997 to July 2011. RESULTS: A total of 653 records were analyzed. Phototype 3 was the most prevalent (n=313). Distribution of the prevalence of dermatoses referred to the phototherapy unit was as follows: vitiligo (279), psoriasis (255), cutaneous T-cell lymphoma/mycosis fungoides (29), graftversus-host disease (15), scleroderma (11), atopic dermatitis (10), alopecia areata (6), parapsoriasis (5), eczema (4), granuloma annulare (4), and others (35). As vitiligo and psoriasis were the two most prevalent dermatoses, they were analyzed separately, with no statistical difference in prevalence between them (P=0,177). CONCLUSIONS: Our findings are in accordance with the literature, showing that although phototherapy is still mostly indicated to treat psoriasis, it has been used to treat other dermatoses, since the results are promising.

King Rack, Surabaya, Indonesia. This is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The study sample used a total population of 12 workers. Data were taken in the form of primary data tested with the Spearman correlation test. The results of the analysis show that the majority of respondents graduated from elementary school and the majority of respondents' job satisfaction was high. However, majority of respondents' work motivation was moderate and the majority of respondents' work productivity was low. The results of the Spearman correlation analysis indicate a relationship between education and work productivity (correlation coefficient = 0.475) as well as work motivation and work productivity (coefficient correlation = 1.000). There was no relationship between job satisfaction and work productivity. To increase work productivity, daily standards for the number of racks to be produced by workers need to be set. Besides that, it is important to give praise and appreciation to the workers in order for them to produce racks that are above the work standard. Keywords: education, job satisfaction, work motivation, work productivity

The sample was all doctors in the puskesmas in Indonesia who were successfully interviewed and had independent variables is 4.012 sample. Data analysis was performed descriptively and statistically using chi-square test and logistic regression. From the results of the study found there is a relationship between the suitability of the distribution of capitation funds with the work motivation of doctors in urban health centers in Indonesia with a P value of 0,000 and PR 1,309 (95% CI 1,153 - 1,487). This means that the appropriate distribution and capitation have an influence of 1,309 times in increasing the work motivation of doctors in Indonesian health centers. The distribution of capitation funds must be in accordance with the workload of doctors at the puskesmas to increase motivation and performance of quality services at the puskesmas and the existing regulations must be regularly evaluated.

The study investigated the relationionship between parenting behaviors and academic achievement. The objective of the study was to inquire the functions of parenting on academic achievement. The study was conducted in Tulu Yombo Junior School, Oromia regional state, Ethiopia. The study was conducted from January 2018 up to September 2018. The study employed a cross-sectional research design. The population of the study was 200 students of grade 7 and 8. Subsequently, 50(25%) samples were selected using stratified random sampling. The study was a pure quantitative research type. For this reason, it used a survey questionnaire which is close-ended to identify the styles of parenting the parents of the students employed. The questions were prepared to be responded in “Likert Scales”. On the other hand, record scores of academic achievement were used as secondary data. The data were analyzed and interpreted using One-way ANOVA and Honestly Significance Difference (HSD) statistical test. The result of the study revealed that children of Authoritative (democratic) parents scored (x̅ =80.75) significantly higher in their academic achievement than did children from Non-authoritative. However, no substantial difference was observed in the academic achievement of students from authoritarian (x̅ =61.3), indulgent (x̅ =53.8) and neglectful parents (x̅ =52.4).
