Reflection of Social Conflict between Characters in the Novel “Negeri di UjungTanduk” By Tere Liye. This study aims to reflect and explained back the socialconflict between characters in the novel dalam novel “Negeri di Ujung Tanduk”by Tere Liye by using approaches and types qualitative research. Data in the formof sentences and discourse contained in novel quotations. The method used in thisresearch is descriptive methode. Based on the results that have been found, themore dominant characteristics of social conflict are manifest social conflicts.Social conflict are more common in the Thomas who have open conflict with otherfigures. Social conflict experiendced by the characters have different place, time,and atmosphere settings. Konflik sosial tersebut lebih banyak terdapat pada tokoh Thomas yangmemiliki konflik secara terbuka dengan tokoh yang lainnya. Konflik sosial yangdialami tokoh-tokoh dalam novel tersebut memiliki latar tempat, waktu, dansuasana yang berbeda-beda. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori postkolonialisme Gayatri Spivak. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini  mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena dalam penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data novel Arok Dedes  yang berkisah tentang kudeta di Tanah Jawa. Data penelitian ini adalah kata, kalimat, paragraf, yang terdapat dalam novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer dengan menggunakan teori poskolonial Ggayatri Spivak. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi atau pustaka. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisia deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian adalah pengaruh tahta tertinggi dan perlawanan kaum subaltern pada novel Arok Dedes karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer.Kata kunci: Subaltern, poskolonial, pengaruh tahta, perlawananABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer by using the postcolonialism theory of Gayatri Spivak. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The approach in this study using a qualitative approach because in this study used Arok Dedes story novel as data sources  which is about a coup in Java. This research data is words, sentences, paragraphs, contained in Arok Dedes novel by Pramoedya Anan ta Toer by using postcolonial Ggayatri Spivak theory. Data collection techniques in this study used the method of documentation or literature . The data analysis technique of this study used descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study are the influence of the highest throne and the resistance of the subalterns on the novel Arok Dedes by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Keywords: Subaltern, postcolonial, influence of throne, resistance

The purpose of this research was to analyze ten covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels through multimodal. The research method used was qualitative research. The objects in this research were ten book covers of 2019 best-seller fantasy novels. The instruments used were documentation that aimed at obtaining data, including relevant books, study, activity reporting, relevant research data. Content analysis was used to obtain the data. This study used five phased cycles in analyzing the data; compiling, disassembling, reassembling, interpreting, and concluding. The result of analyzing the novels is emphasized in two focuses, including representation and interactive function. Several novels have a narrative aspect, while others contain conceptual interpretation, which is part of a representative function. It was very challenging to interpret some implicit meaning of the symbols in some of the novels as it requires mythical knowledge. Therefore, it is expected that understanding the implicit meaning comprehensively will make readers easier to understand the story outline of the novel.

This study focuses on internal conflicts in the novel Air Mata Tuhan works Aguk Irawan M.N. The method in this article uses descriptive method and form of qualitative research. Psychology humanities is used as an approach in this article. Data collection technique used is the technique of documentary studies to reviewing  creation humanities. Data collection tool used is the Human Instrument with the help of card data recorder. Technique authenticity of data used are, triangulation investigator, theory triangulation and inspection peers through discussion. The analysis technique used is the study of the contents. N based on the analysis that researchers do, namely social conflict tangible problem accusation, strife, oppression, and opposition. Internal conflicts contained in the novel Tears God works Aguk Irawan M. N based on the analysis that researchers do that is the inner conflict in the form of expectations, and the conflicts between the two desires

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the role of women experienced by characters in Tulus Setiyadi novel Cinencang Lawe. As the author, Tulus Setiyadi describes the role of women in the novel Cinencang Lawe. The method used in this writing is qualitative research. The research data is in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and discourses which contain elements regarding the role of women. The theory used is feminism with a focus on the role of women and their efforts in dealing with problems. The techniques used in this research are reading and note taking techniques. The results of this study are there are two roles of women in each character in the novel Cinencang Lawe, namely the domestic role in the household and the public role in society and the social sphere as described Darmini, Lik Wiji, Mbok Yem,  Juragan Lamini dan Ibu Narji.

Language and social are two inseparable aspects in social life. Therefore, it is not uncommon that the phenomenon of language is mainly over code and code mixing. Code switching and code mixing can occur on many sides of a language, including written languages, types of literary works. But unfortunately there is still little that makes literary works as objects of study. Therefore, researchers examine literary works using descriptive qualitative research types. Suber research data is a 3-color realm novel by A. Fuadi. This research data is in the form of dialogue / speech of characters in the novel that contain code switching and code mixing. The analysis technique used is reading, identification, and note taking techniques.

This research motivated by the existence of Islamic religious values in novel God's I Back by Haidar Musyafa. The value of Islamic religion in terms of the value of aqidah, sharia values and moral values by Haidar Musyafa. The purpose of this research to describe the values of aqidah, shari'a and morals in novel by Haidar Musyafa. The type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this research descriptive method of analysis. The data of this research are religious data about the value of creed, morals and characters contained in the novel by Haidar Musyafa. Based on the analysis of research data can be concluded that the value of aqid contained in the novel Haidar Musyafa's, namely (a) faith to Allah SWT (belief in Allah) seen on the character Umi stating that God's promise that His pleasure depends on the pleasure of both parents. (b) faith in the books of Allah swt reflected on the character of Jefry who likes to read the holy verses of the Qur'an in the race. Sharia value is depicted on Apih figures who ordered their children to perform congregational prayers and chips in order not to leave the prayer. Furthermore, the moral values are (a) morals towards Allah (khalik) is depicted on the character of Jefry who initially have habbit not good then repent to be good people. (b) morals towards humans depicted on the character Jefry who like do something not good, being rude and not obeying the words of parents.

This study aims to: (a) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyo; (b) describe the movie episode of Winter In Tokyo by director Fajar Bustomi; (c) describe the episode of Ilana Tan's novel Winter In Tokyonovel with Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. This research type is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research data is the episode of novelty novel Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film directed by Fajar Bustomi. Data collection techniques have three stages. First, read Ilana Tan's Winter In Tokyo novel, and then follow Winter In Tokyo directed by Fajar Bustomi. Second, the data collection phase of the novel episode of Winter In Tokyo by Ilana Tan and Winter In Tokyo film by director Fajar Bustomi were collected through recording and observation techniques. Third, the stage of inventorying data into data inventory format. The research findings are episodes of 24 novel episodes, while in the film there are 24 episodes. In the film there are 6 additional episodes, and a reduction of 14 episodes, while the episode of a novel story that changes varies after being turned into a movie, found 7 episodes. It happens because of the creativity of the director while adapting the novel to the movie.Keywords: novel, movie, ekranisasi, episode

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan klasifikasi emosi, konflik psikologis, dan sikap dalam menghadapi konflik psikologis dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan psikologi sastra yaitu telaah karya sastra yang mencerminkan proses dan aktivitas kejiwaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah klasifikasi emosi tokoh tokoh sentral dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Data penelitian ini adalah penggalan teks yang menunjukkan emosi tokoh-tokoh sentral dan sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditunjukkan bahwa klasifikasi emosi yang dialami tokoh-tokoh sentral terdiri atas rasa bersalah, menghukum diri sendiri, rasa malu, kesedihan, kebencian, dan cinta. Konflik psikologis yang dialami tokoh-tokoh sentral terdiri atas approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, dan avoidance-avoidance conflict. Sikap yang ditunjukkan tokoh-tokoh sentral dalam novel Sunset Bersama Rosie karya Tere Liye dipengaruhi konflik yang dialami. Namun, tidak semua tokoh-tokoh sentral bersikap sama terhadap konflik psikologis yang dialami. Beberapa tokoh-tokoh sentral yang dapat bersikap berkebalikan dari emosi mereka.   This study aims to describe the classification of emotions, psychological conflict, and attitude in the face of psychological conflict in the novel Sunset alongside Rosie work of Tere Liye. The approach was conducted in this research is the psychology literature approach i.e. review literary works that reflect the procesess and activity of psychological abuse. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The target of this research is the classification of the emotions of the character the central character in the novel Sunset alongside Rosie work of Tere Liye. This research data is extract text that shows the emotions the central figures and data source this study is novel Sunset alongside Rosie work off Tere Liye. Data collection techniques using readand write down. Based on the result of the study, pointed out that the classification of emotions experienced by central figures composed of guilt, punish yourself, shame, sorrow, hatred, and love. Psycholigical conficts that plagued central figures composed of approach-approach conflict, approach-avoidance conflict, and avoidance-avoidance conflict. The attitude shown the central figures in the novel Sunset ALONGSIDE Rosie work of Tere Liye influenced confict is experienced. Howefer, not all central figures in the same attitude toward psychological conflict. Some of the central figures who can be  the opposite of their emotions.

ABSTRAKKarya sastra merupakan cerminan kehidupan masyarakat. Novel sebagai salah satu karya sastra menampilkan konflik yang merupakan cerminan atas konflik-konflik yang ada di masyarakat. Salah satu konflik dalam novel yang menarik untuk dikaji adalah konflik agama karena konflik agama masih banyak terjadi di Indonesia. Salah satu yang memuat konflik agama adalah novel Kantring Genjer-genjer karya Teguh Winarsho A.S.. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan teori konflik Georg Simmel untuk menganalisis bentuk konflik dan penyebab konflik antara kelompok abangan dan santri dalam novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk konflik dan penyebab konflik dalam novel terdiri atas konflik pertandingan antagonistik, konflik hukum, konflik mengenai prinsip-prinsip dasar, konflik kepentingan, dan konflik dalam hubungan intim dan akrab.Kata kunci: abangan, konflik georg simmel, konflik sosial, santri, sosiologi sastra ABSTRACTLiterary works are a reflection of people's lives. Novel as one of the literary works that displays conflict that are a reflection of conflicts in the society. One of conflict in the novel that is interesting to study is religious conflict, because religious conflicts still occur in Indonesia frequently. One of novel which discuss the religious conflict is Kantring Genjer-genjer novel by Teguh Winarsho A.S.. This research is a qualitative research using sociology of literature approach and Georg Simmel's conflict theory to analyze the forms and primary causes of conflict between abangan and santri in the novel. Result of the study reveated that the forms and primary causes of conflict are antagonistic, legal conflicts, conflicts regarding principles, conflicts of interest, and conflict in intimate relationships.Keywords: abangan, georg simmel’s conflict theory, social conflict, santri, sociology of literature
