Participants of this study were 15 employees aged 21-28 years divided into two groups: eight participants in the experimental group and seven participants in the control group. The design was a randomized two-group pretest-posttest. Collecting data used to happiness at work scale with Likert model prepared by the researcher. Data analysis methods used by using Mann Whitney U technique for differences of the gain score in the experimental group and control group data score. The result of gain score analysis showed t value = 8.500 and p-value of 0.021 (p<0.05), indicating there is a significant difference between the experimental group and control group after gratitude exercise. The result shows that gratitude exercise using three good things techniques is effective to increase happiness at work of employees.

Aim: The present study is aimed to assess the effect of distraction therapy during venipuncture in reducing pain among 6-12 years children in the selected hospital at Bhubaneswar. Methods: The study was a double blind; Randomized control trial design was used and the formal consent was obtained from Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital and the investigator selected 182 samples using consecutive sampling technique and then randomized into experimental and control groups. The intervention group and the control were having 91 samples each. Measurement of pain experienced by the school going children was assessed with the help of Wong-Baker Faces Pain Scale. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Result: The mean pain score of children in experimental group was 2.571 and the standard deviation was 2.006. The p value in comparing the pain level of children in control and experimental group was <0.01, which was statistically significant at p<0.05 (confidence interval 95%) level indicating that there was significant difference in the post test level of pain between the experimental and control group. Conclusion: Hence the distraction therapy was responsive in reducing the vein-puncture pain among school going children.

This study was conducted to determine the influence of the FG Vega technique on students' academic performance to address the least learned competency in Science 8. Seventy students from Grade 8 classes served as respondents of the study. The study employed a quasi-experimental method. The mean score of students who took the post-test is 32.03 and 27.57 respectively for the experimental and control group. The results can be gleaned that the score of each student in the experimental group has a little variation of mean with 6.71 as compared to the control group with a variation of 7.52. The results can be observed that the mean score of students in the pre-test under the control group is 8.80 and 11.34 under the experimental group. Thus, the results of the study can be further concluded that the students under the experimental group outperformed the students in the control group. Since the significant level is lesser than the p-value of 0.05, indicates that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test under the experimental group. Hence, there is a significant difference between the post-test of the experimental and control group.

The study focused on the effect of teams-games-tournament (TGT) on mathematics performance, behavioral engagement, cognitive engagement, and motivation to learn mathematics of Grade 8 students. Experimental and descriptive methods of research were utilized. Findings revealed that there was no significant difference in the pre-test results of the experimental and control group with the t-test p-value of 0.975086. After the intervention, data showed significant difference in the post-test results of the experimental and control group with the t-test p-value of 0.04609. It means that after the implementation of teams-games-tournament strategy, experimental group excelled. TGT strategy effectively enriched the performance of the students in mathematics. Furthermore, experimental group was more behaviourally and cognitively engaged and motivated to learn mathematics than the control group.

This study aims to reveal (1) whether there is significance different students’ achievement who are taught grammar through  integrating declarative and procedural knowledge by implementing E-Portfolio assessment  and (2) the process of  integrating declarative and procedural knowledge by implementing E-Portfolio assessment. It employed mixed method of concurrent design. The population of this research was 120 students of grammar class in English Department of STKIP PGRI Jombang. The number of sample was 40 students for experimental group and 40 students for control group by employing cluster random sampling technique. The data was collected through test and observation and it applied ANCOVA for quantitative data analysis and data display, data reduction and drawing conclusion for qualitative data analysis. The finding showed that (1) there is significant difference on students’ grammar understanding between experimental group and control group. (2) E portfolio through students’ blogs gives opportunity to students to engage their efforts, progress, and achievements in given areas and the strategy has the additional benefit of enabling students to publish and share ideasor tasks easily involving authentic audience or their classmates. It implied that assessing by using Electronic Portfolio is positively effective to be implemented in integrating both declarative and procedural knowledge in Grammar course.

This research was conducted at a hospital in Banyuwangi. The research sample was 30 spontaneous primiparous patients, then divided into two groups, namely the experimental group given discharge planning according to the standard n=15 and the control group given conventional discharge planning treatment n=15. Sampling using Consecutive Sampling and data collection using the observation sheet of maternal skills about baby care. Data analyzed using paired T test and unpaired T test. Results: The results showed that the skills of mothers in caring for newborns in the experimental group had a higher value than the control group with the difference in the skills of caring for the umbilical cord of 3.60, changing diapers by 3.33 and breastfeeding by 6.60. Further analysis obtained p value=0.000 (p> 0.05), which means that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: Discharge planning in accordance with standards can improve the skills of mothers in caring for their babies. Discharge planning in accordance with the standards should be implemented in the hospital, because discharge planning is one of the important elements in nursing services which aims to make clients independent after discharge from the hospital. Keywords: discharge planning, mother’s skill, caring, newborns
